"Today's the day."

The four had been planning this all week. Merida first came up with the idea of seeing other 'areas' yet no one had thought that they would actually be going. The had it set into three phases, and they limited themselves to how much they could see before they came back in. It was Jack who thought about gong on their 'day out'. Their movies weren't going to be played and it gave them a full hour outside. Everyone knew the rumors that other areas could swap between towns as often as they liked, so it was Rapunzel who thought of disguises. Even the guards would recognize them with the face-transforming makeup that Rapunzel gave them. Hiccup was nominated to make the excuses, because both the girls agreed that he would have a better chance tricking the female guards, with him in his new state.

"Phase one - begin." Jack said pulling on a mousy brown wig.

"Wait!" Hiccup cried out "We need a team name!"

"Stop procrastinating and go!" Merida said laughing and punching him in the arm.

"How about the big 4?" Rapunzel said.

"I don't mind it." Jack said smiling at her.

"You are only saying that cause you like her."

"SHUT UP AND GO HICCUP!"

Hiccup was forced towards the shadowy figures outside the gate. He tousled his hair and held his helmet under his arm. "Hi." He said.

Jack, Hiccup and Rapunzel watched quietly. They knew that when the time came they had to make a run for it. "Ready," Jack said, pushing Merida and Rapunzel slightly in front of him. Rapunzel's braid was down her back and out the way and Merida's hair was hidden in a hood. "It's four thirty." Jack said bluntly. They were on time.

"How do you know?" Rapunzel asked, her head swerving to check if there was a clock. Watching the minutes tick down would help distract her from the task ahead, yet she didn't see one.

"Listen to that." Jack said, never taking his eyes of Hiccup who could give the signal at any minute. A groan was heard from the distance and then a shout. "That Hercules, in your area, doing his workout. He's the closest to the wall, so we hear everything. There it is, GO!" Rapunzel was caught off guard, yet her feet understood the command. Merida was already on edge and as they ran she reached out to grab Hiccup by the shirt collar.

"Let's go, pretty boy!" She yelled. The four stepped through the guards and fell into blackness.

"Jack, where are we?" Rapunzel asked. When they jumped she was holding his and Merida's hand, yet she had let go of one.
"I'm right here." He said squeezing her hand lightly. "We can walk forward, I see a light in the distance.

Hiccup was carrying Merida by now, her head resting on his chest. By the time they got to the light, Rapunzel was in Jack's arms too. THey stepped out of the dark and fell into a real world. Not the kind we, the readers, are in. They could tell it was a movie. Everything was downsized. They passed two humans, the size of a child but each with a small goatee. "Who are you?! Sorry I forgot my manners. My name is Frodo, son of Drogo and this is my friend Pippin. What in Middle Earth are you? Gandalf will know. Or Aragorn. Aragorn, oh, Aragorn! Now where is he? Pippin do you know where he is?"

"WHy is the dialogue so long and proper in this film?" Hiccup asked.

"Not only a film!" The child/ man Pippin told them "BOOKS. Ah, books, the greatest joys, I say! We are hobbits here. Have you had elevensies, yet?"

"No could you direct me to the edge of the city?" Jack asked.

"That way!" Pippin said pointing to a foggy wall.

"Let's go."
