Chapter 17: Come Undone

Rei was kneeling in her meditation room, trying to concentrate but her mind refused to be at ease. For the last several nights she would wake up from strange dreams. Letting out a sigh, she lowered her hands when she looked over to see White Blaze staring at her. "Aren't you normally with Ryo?" she asked the tiger. Walking over, she scratched the top of his head.

Walking outside, she found her boyfriend in the middle of practicing his routines. She leaned against the rail, watching him with a slight smile. She let out a soft gasp when she suddenly saw a flash of something. "Rei?" Ryo called out, seeing his girlfriend freeze.

"Yeah," she answered.

"You okay? You look like you just saw a ghost," he quipped.

Rei rolled her eyes. "Very funny," she muttered. Ryo put his katanas away, the grabbed the towel he had hanging on the fence wiping his face with it.

"You haven't been sleeping," he commented as he walked up the steps, "What's wrong?"

"Hold me?" she asked.

Ryo pulled her into his arms, his arms going around her back as she rested her head on his chest. "Wanna tell me what's going on?" he asked. Rei held him tighter.

"I just keep seeing flashes, images of things I don't understand," she replied.

"Like what?" he asked.

She gripped the back of his shirt. "I keep seeing us, locked in a big battle of some sort," she replied. Tears were welling up in her eyes. "And I watched as someone stabs you in the neck from behind and I'm powerless to stop it," she replied. Ryo held her a little tighter, pressing a kiss to the top of her head. She was remembering their past, their deaths. "I don't understand it," she told him, "Does this mean the Negaverse is going to win?"

"That's exactly what it means," a voice said.

They looked up to see Malakite standing there. "Malakite!" Ryo spat, pulling Rei behind him.

"Now that I know for sure that you are Wildfire and Sailor Mars, I can finally succeed in bringing a victory to our Queen!" he snarled.

Ryo threw Rei to the ground in the attempt to protect her as Malakite sent his magic at them. The magic turned into chains and they wrapped around Ryo's neck. "RYO!" Rei screamed as her boyfriend was ripped off the ground and into the city streets. Rei got up, pulling out her wand. "MARS…" she trailed off when Malakite wrapped a chain around her wrist, making her drop her wand.

"That's cheating," he sneered before he pulled her up.

Ryo coughed and gagged, holding his throat. "My queen demands both of your energies," Malakite told them.

"RYO! REI!" Rowen shouted as the others ran towards them.

"Too late," Malakite sneered before he took them both.

"NO!" Sailor Moon shouted as their friends disappeared.

Ryo and Rei were thrown to their knees on a marble floor. "Welcome, Ryo of the Wildfire, and Sailor Mars," Queen Beryl sneered. Ryo lifted his head, recognizing the evil queen easily. "It's as if our last meeting wasn't a thousand years ago," she commented.

"We have never seen you before," Rei answered.

Queen Beryl walked over, grabbing Ryo's throat and lifted him off the ground. "Let him go!" Rei demanded.

"I haven't seen these eyes in over a thousand years," Beryl commented, making Ryo look at her, "The Prince of the Moon."

Rei's eyes grew wide. "What?!" she gasped, "That's not possible!"

"It is you stupid girl," Beryl snapped.'

Ryo let out a gag as she tightened her hand around his throat. "The missing Prince. He and his sister both are strong enough to defeat me, but I won't let that happen," she hissed. Rei let out a gasp as black magic entered Ryo's body.

"RYO! NO!" she shouted, "GET OFF HIM!"

She stood up to attack the queen when Malakite grabbed her arms. Beryl let him drop, smirking when she saw his tiger blues turn black. "And now for the princess," she said with a smirk. Rei's eyes grew wide with a gasp when Beryl threw her magic into her.

Serena was sitting at the temple, not sure what to do or say. Her best friend was missing. "What do we do?" Mina asked.

"We go to the Negaverse after them!" Kento answered standing up.

"Kento, it's too dangerous, we're nowhere near ready to take on Queen Beryl alone," Sage told him.

"Are we supposed to stand here and wait for their dead bodies to show up?" Kento snapped.

"Or worse," Serena whispered.

Rowen sat beside her, his arm going around her shoulders. "We have to go after them," she told them, "It's the only way."

"It's probably a trap," Cye commented.

"It most certainly is, but we can't let her win," Serena answered.

She held up her broche. "They wouldn't let us down, we can't let them down," she insisted.

"She's right," Rowen answered.

"Well then, what are we waiting for?" Kento asked.

"ARMOR OF HALO DAO CHI!"

"JUPITER POWER!"

"ARMOR OF TORRENT TAO SHIN!"

"MERCURY POWER!"

"ARMOR OF HARDROCK DAO GI!"

"VENUS POWER!"

"ARMOR OF STRATA TAO INOCHI!"

"MOON PRISM POWER!"

Using their powers they transported them to the Negaverse. It was nothing but a wasteland of snow. "What the hell is this?!" Kento exclaimed.

"It's the best place to hide your Dark Kingdom," Sage commented.

"Mercury, can you see anything?" Cye asked.

Sailor Mercury's computer visor appeared over her eyes. "Their energies are…right here," she said suddenly.

"Well, about time you got here," a voice said behind them, making them turn around.

They saw Ryo and Rei standing there. "Ryo!" Sage exclaimed.

"Are you guys okay?" Rowen asked.

"We're fine, better than ever even," Rei answered.

Sailor Moon gasped when she saw their eyes. "ARMOR OF WILDFIRE! DAO JIN!" Ryo shouted. Rei waved her arms around with her wand in her hand.

"MARS POWER!" she shouted.

Ryo pulled out his katanas, swinging them at Sailor Moon. Rowen grabbed his bow, blocking the attack. "Ryo, what the hell is wrong with you?" Rowen snapped. Ryo swung his sword at his stomach, but Rowen jumped back then Sage tried to run up behind him. Ryo swung around, their swords connecting.

"MARS FIRE IGNITE!" she shouted, aiming her attack at the girls.

"SUPREME THUNDER CRASH!" Jupiter shouted.

Their attacks combined. "EVERYONE MOVE!" Kento shouted, pulling Venus out of the way as their attacks threw them all off their feet. Ryo glared at the group as he held his katanas up, connecting their hilts. Rowen pulled out one of his arrows.

"Rowen!" Sailor Moon called out.

"FLARE!"

"ARROW!"

"UP!"

"SHOCK!"

"NOW!"

"WAVE!"

Sailor Mars suddenly let out a gasp seeing Rowen's arrow go right into Ryo's chest at the same time his attack went right into Rowen.

Flashes of her beginning years at the Mars Kingdom flashed through her mind before Queen Serenity brought her to the Moon Kingdom. She saw when she received her title as Sailors Mars. She saw her time with the other girls, becoming friends with the Princess. She then met Ryo for the first time in their past lives. She saw him give him her family's ring and the ring fit onto his finger easily. The last thing she saw was how they died in each other's arms in the temple.

Sailor Mars stared as tears welled up in her eyes. "No…" she whispered, "RYO!"

The attacks faded and Sailor Moon ran to Rowen as he collapsed to the ground. "ROWEN!" she screamed. She fell to her knees, holding her head in his lap. Tears welled up in her eyes as he slowly opened his eyes to look at her.

"So…beautiful," he whispered.

Sailor Moon gasped, her memory showed her as Princess Serenity of the Moon Kingdom. How she grew up so loved by her friends and her mother. She saw her first meeting with Rowen and how they fell deeply in love. She saw how Ro-Touma proposed to her in the Moon Kingdom. When Queen Beryl and Meratia attacked their kingdom, her love guarding her from the Queen's evil blast. Then she remembered more, she remembered her mother having a picture of a boy in her study. Her brother! Her brother that her mother was forced to send away when he was only a baby because of Meratia threatening his life.

Sailor Moon looked over to see Sailor Mars cradling Ryo's head, calling for him. "Ryo…Touma…" she whispered. She looked down at Rowen who stared up at her. "I remember," she whispered, "I remember everything!" Rowen kept his hand on her cheek.

"Serenity…" he whispered.

Sailor Moon rested her hand over his as tears fell down her cheeks. He let out a final gasp of air before he fell limp. "Ryo?" she heard Mars call out, "RYO!?" She looked over to see Ryo's ashen face as Sailor Mars held him to him. "Come back to me, I remember, Ryo! I remember everything!" she said sobbing, "I remember you, my love, come back to me!"

Sailor Moon looked at Rowen's limp body and then the body of her brother who had passed in Sailor Mars's arms. "No…" she whispered. She gripped Rowen's shoulders. "NO!" she wailed. Suddenly a bright light surrounded her, making the others look at her as her Sailor Scout uniform disappeared, being replaced with a white flowing gown.

"Princess Serenity!" Jupiter gasped.

"She's waking up!" Mercury exclaimed softly.

Serenity opened her eyes and looked at her love's dead body in front of her. "Touma…." She whispered, "My love…" She stroked his cheek lightly, looking over at Ryo to see Sailor Mars crying over him. "We have finally found each other again…only for Beryl to take you away from me again!" Serenity held him close, sobbing. "It's not fair, why would we get this second chance only for her to win again?" she sobbed, "Wake up, Touma, wake up!"

"They won't wake," a voice said behind them.

They turned around to see Queen Beryl standing there with Malakite. Serenity held Rowen closer as she sobbed over her broken heart, a golden light suddenly engulfed them both. "What's going on?" Sage asked.

"The seal's been broken!" Luna exclaimed.

They watched as the Silver Crystal appeared before them. "The Imperium Silvery Crystal!" Artemis exclaimed. Beryl smirked evilly.

"Finally, it's mine!" she exclaimed.

"Protect Serenity!" Jupiter called out.

Jupiter jumped in front of Malakite, holding up his sword as the evil man swung at his head. "SUPREME…" Jupiter called out when Beryl swung out hitting Jupiter in the stomach with her magic.

"JUPITER!" Sage called out.

Kento ran up, swinging his bo around his head. "IRON ROCK-" he tried to call out when Malakite threw his magic into him.

"Kento!" Venus called out.

Serenity rested her forehead against Rowen's, her grief controlling her. She held the crystal in her hands, her hands trembling. "I don't know what to do," she said softly.

"Guys! We need to do something!" Cye called out as minions surrounded them.

"We have to protect Princess Serenity and the Silver Crystal at all costs!" Mercury answered.

Sailor Mars pressed a kiss to Ryo's cold lips before standing up. "MARS POWER!" she shouted, holding her hands up.

"MERCURY POWER!"

"VENUS POWER!"

"JUPITER POWER!"

The guys stared. "Come on you guys!" Sage told them as he swung his sword around his head.

"ARMOR OF HALO!"

"ARMOR OF HARDROCK!"

"ARMOR OF TORRENT!"

The girls held their hands up as their combined powers surrounded them. "PLANET POWER ATTACK!" they shouted in unison.

"RONIN POWER STRIKE!" the guys shouted in unison.

Malakite let out a shout of pain and Beryl screamed as their combined powers struck them. Malakite was turned into dust. Beryl fell to her knees, gasping in pain. Serenity looked up to see all of her friends fall to the ground, having spent all of their energy to protect her and the Silver Crystal. Sailor Mars fell besides Ryo, gripping his hand tightly. Sage caught Jupiter in his arms as they fell to the ground with a loud crash. Kento gripped Venus tightly as they breathed their last breaths. Cye and Mercury held each other close as their bodies stilled completely.

Beryl stood up. "My Queen! I surrender my body to you, fill me with your power!" she called out. Serenity stared at the lifeless bodies of her friends, a frown showing on her face as she stood up while Meratia took over Beryl's body, transforming her into an evil demon like being.

"You took away everything from me! It won't happen again!" Serenity snapped.

Waving her hands around, a staffed appeared in front of her and the Silver Crystal sat on top of it. "I will have the Silver Crystal!" Beryl hissed, "This world will be mine!"

"No you won't!" Serenity answered.

Beryl threw her magic at the princess who held her staff up, blocking the attack with a scream.
