"Okay" Bella, sitting on the corner of the bed, looked disgustingly at my small white bag where I was packing my lingerie in, "you are packed enough with granny panties, where do all the lingerie come in?"
I stared at her in disbelief, and threw an old white thong on the bed, "There." I uttered.
"No. Stop it." She stood up and walked towards me, "Lets see what you have here." Her fingers searched furiously throughout my drawers.
"Uhh…" I let my body relax as I felt my muscles relax in bed, "I give up, do whatever you want."
"Thanks." She sounded like a child on the morning of Christmas.
I closed my eyes and imagined myself on one of those therapist's chair, where I could talk for minutes and minutes. "I've been so tired, you know. Running around the kids, trying to practice, being a wife… Its all very…tiring."
She chuckled, I opened one eye.
"Why you laughing?" I asked.
"Stop being so dramatic." She didn't stop searching to look at me, "Whats done is done. You are going on this amazing trip with your husband, stop complaining." For a moment she sounded mad, almost envious, I shook myself off that thought. She threw a pair of ripped old underwear at me, "Be collaborative!"
I glanced at the clock, time to give Sophie her bath. "Oops, can't. Baby number two saved me." I winked.
I almost couldn't wake Sophie up, she was so peaceful, sleeping in her crib. Eyes closed, and so…quiet. I laughed to myself, and brushed my fingers softly around her wavy baby hair. She started opening her blue eyes, damn, every time she closed them I forgot how beautiful they actually were.
"Hey Sophie." Before I could reach down to pick her up, she already started yelling in cries, as if someone who says, "GET ME THE FUCK OUT OF HERE!"
"Wait Sophie." I told her.
"Its Karma." Bella laughed.
As soon as I took Sophie in my arms, the bawling stopped.
"Oh, who's going to take a bath?" I spoke to her in baby talk, "A nice warm bath? Who is?" I filled the tub until the point where she wouldn't like drown or anything. As I gently put her in the bathtub, holding her back for support, I told her, "Mom is going on a trip, but I'll be back, okay? Its going to be so quick you won't even notice. You will stay with Bella, and soon I will be back."
She looked at me with those big eyes, as if wanting to say something. I suddenly felt stupid for thinking she'd understand what I am saying, she's just a baby.
I gave her a quick bath, and pulled her out of the small baby tub. "Okay, what are you going to wear?" I held her, wrapped in the towel, with one arm, and searched for the first decent thing I found in her closet. I just ended up dressing her in a red shirt and diapers.
"Okay, Sophie is ready. Where's the other one?"
Bella turned to face me. She had a worried expression on her face. "Clarisse" She said lowly, "Clarissa is with Chris, remember? He's teaching her how to fight with that sword you gave her."
My body was suddenly and rapidly filled with anger, "WHAT?" I sighed, "He's teaching MY baby how to fight? No, that can't be right. I am the one who has to teach her how to fight. Otherwise, she'll end up fighting like a wuss, like her father."
"But…" She took Sophie from my arms, "Chris told you last night, you shrugged."
"No…he didn't." I tried to think of any possibility of that happening. 0% As I thought.
"He did Clarisse, I was here. You two were having dinner, talking about the girls, and he asked if he could teach Clarissa the basics of sword fighting. And you shrugged." She paused, "Actually you shrugged at everything we asked or said."
"Ah…" That sounded accurate. I suddenly became mad at my self. And Chris, he should've known I would never allow that in my sane state.
"Wow, Clarisse" She gasped, "I think you are really needing this vacation. Look at you, you look awful."
"Uh…" I glanced at the mirror, "Thanks. I guess."
"No. I meant, you're tired."
"Lets just pack, okay?" I asked.
She gave me that, "I didn't mean that" look. I didn't really care anyways.
I remained silent for the rest of the time, occasionally saying something to Sophie when she'd threaten to start crying.
In less than an hour i was finished packing, and Bella argued saying I'd look like a hobo if I didn't take her advices. Uh, do I give a fuck? No, not really.
I had to practically throw her out of my house.
A/N: Okay, back to posting. Sorry, this chap was short and boring but next one will be better, i promise.
