Sheldon woke up with his back hurting. He had no idea why but it already felt painful to just open his eyes. To move anything was painful. He wasn't used to this. Normally he woke up well rested and relaxed but this was torture.
He blinked a few times before he stiffened. Amy's and his legs were somehow slung together, in each other… Sheldon couldn't tell which were his legs and Amy's anymore.
Her head and half of her upper budy were lying across his chest. He carefully eyed down onto Amy, not trying to move too much so he wouldn't wake her. After all he was a gentleman.
This thought was forgotten within a second when he realized that she was in a position that had kind of pulled down her shirt. Down and a little aside. And from up there Sheldon had a great view.
He couldn't stop staring. He didn't see all of it but surely enough to get certain brain sections active.
The very tiny little stretch marks, the roundness, the fullness… it was incredible how perfect imperfections could be.
Sheldon's toes curled up when he realized that not only his brain sections got stimulated by this very view.
He looked back up to the ceiling and closed his eyes quickly. Fall back asleep. Come on. Just fall back asleep.
Amy's subsconciousness was disturbed by Sheldon's rapid breathing. Maybe he had a bad dream?
She slowly opened her eyes. Her body felt sore, yet when she realized where she was lying, all the pain was forgotten.
She smiled to herself and snuggled her head a little more against his chest. One of her legs was lying on him, pulled up at about the height of his belly button.
She stretched her back as much as possible in her current position and let her leg slide down. At least she tried. Some bump kind of stopped her.
Amy froze. Her thoughts started rotating. Well. Of course. It was the middle of the night. He was a man.
She raised her head a little bit and looked down. Then she bit her lip and laid her head back. Oh yes. Of course. There was no doubt about it anymore. The manly nice dream „problem" also happened to Sheldon Cooper. Interesting.
She bit her lip before she carefully moved her leg up again. She felt the bump in the middle of her inner thigh.
Her leg moved down slowly. And up. And down. And up. And down… this time along with her hand.
She got goosebumps when her hand reached the waistband of his pajama pants. Meanwhile she wondered how big these… bumps… could even get. Cause as far as she could tell, this job here wasn't even halfway done yet. Not that she had any experience. She rolled her eyes at the thought.
It was extremely new yet extremely exciting to feel what she was feeling. Even if it was just on her thigh. Through two pairs of pajama pants.
Just when she felt like she had the courage to let her hand slip down, she heard him.
„Amy…"
Amy had rushed back from him like a wild animal that had found out it had been observed by poachers. She was on the very edge of her side of the bed, looking at Sheldon all scared and embarrassed.
Sheldon couldn't deny she kind of looked sexy, with her long brown slightly wavy hair, falling wildly into her face, the big green eyes, her tempting lips, her amazing female silouette that was only covered by one shirt and not three layers of cardigans…
No. Enough now, Cooper.
„I'm so sorry, I…"
„You what, Amy?"
„I didn't mean to… I mean…" She backed off a little more. She was more than just sure that he would be furious. She had clearly broken a few rules of the Relationship Agreement. It was too dark to really see his facial expression, even though the moonlight shined into his room.
"I'm so sorry"
His body stiffened when he heard that she was sobbing. Granted, he had been angry at first. Well, maybe even more surprised than angry. But the last thing he had tried was to make her cry.
"I'm gonna go sleep on the sofa and I'll leave tomorrow morning, I promise" Amy's voice was thin and weak, she kicked the blanket off and turned around. Without thinking about her injury she got out of bed and sunk back down immediately. She had put her whole weight on her broken leg. But she didn't let out more than a quiet "Ow" and got back up again. She needed to leave, right now. She was embarrassed about herself, about what she had done and maybe too embarrassed to ever look into his eyes again.
She limped as fast as she could but before she could even reach the door, she felt a tight grasp around her wrist, which came so unexpectedly that she rushed around and lost balance.
With a high pitched scream she stumbled and fell… and found herself again in Sheldon's arms.
"You're not going anywhere with that foot"
"Sheldon…"
All of a sudden he moved his face closer to hers. She held her breath. He looked into her eyes and saw that they were still wet… and a single tear left on her cheek.
"Oh, Amy" He raised his hand and his thumb carefully wiped away the little teardrop.
"I know, I should have controlled myself better" Her voice was quiet, almost a whisper and she didn't dare to look into his eyes anymore.
"You just gave in to a human weakness" He tried to calm her down and Amy was surprised. What did he know about human weaknesses. Little did she know that she herself was his.
"Is there anything I can do to make you feel better?"
"I think I need some fresh air"
Sheldon let go of her and went over to his bedroom window before he opened it. Amy limped over to him and stood next to him, breathing in Pasadena's night wind. It felt good, she enjoyed having the cool air fill up her lungs and clear her thoughts.
"There are tons of stars in the nightsky" Sheldon seemed thoughtful while looking up. "Koothrappali once showed me where Mars is"
It took his eidetic memory only a few seconds to restore the constellation. Amy looked at him and then tried to look into the same direction but she couldn't figure out what he was meaning to tell her, there were millions of stars.
"Right over there! Hold on…" He suddenly stepped behind her, put his arm over her shoulder and pointed at the starry nightsky.
Amy's eyes followed his finger and finally found the point, even if now that he was so close behind her, she didn't care about it anymore. All the fresh air was no longer a help, everything inside of her was in a fever of excitement. Even more when Sheldon took his arm down shyly and insecurely put his hands on her waiste from behind. Amy didn't dare to move, she didn't want him to let go.
"It's beautiful" She heard his deep voice right next to her ear.
"Yes, it is"
Sheldon looked down onto her and could tell that her green eyes looked up to right where had been pointing at a few seconds ago. He never had cared about looks or anything but he couldn't deny that she still was the most wonderful human being he had ever seen. And then he thought that if she had given in to a human weakness, so could he. It was like a carte blanche.
He closed his eyes and sunk his head down, slightly nuzzling into her hair and the side of her neck. He had never realized how incredibly sweet she smelled and he loved everything about it.
"Sheldon" She whispered but his response was just a calm "Ssshhh". He wanted to enjoy this moment with all his senses and there were no words needed. He felt her relaxing and leaning against him a little and he liked it.
After a while – and Sheldon couldn't tell anymore if it had been seconds, minutes or hours – he was so lovedrunk from her warmth, proximity and smell, that he absentmindedly kissed her neck. With his hands still around her waist he could clearly tell that she held her breath but he didn't intend on stopping. His lips carefully wandered around on the side of her neck, planting a little kiss here and there and with every lip touch he felt her tensing up a little bit but he was sure it was a good kind of tensing up because she hadn't attempted to flee yet.
He could have gone on forever but he knew it was time to go back to sleep… and Amy didn't seem upset anymore. So with one last tender kiss on her shoulder he suddenly let go of her and stepped back. He heard her grunting in resentment.
"You stopped, too, so it's only fair if I do the same thing. Let's go back to sleep." Sheldon slightly pushed her aside and closed the window.
Amy was too busy to try to figure out what he meant with his words. She had stopped? Would he have wanted her to continue what she had done earlier?
"Come on" He turned around and slipped back under the covers.
Amy bit her lip and slowly walked back to her side, before she laid down next to him. After a while she had finally brought up enough courage to ask him where this was going, but Sheldon was already asleep again.
