It was a first for Sam and Dean, being I the big city. They didn't really enjoy the amount of monsters and demons that tended to rise and fall in New York. But they caught a trail of vampires all the way from Boston and it hinted at pretty much the biggest nest they'll ever run into. The night they got into town they saw the demon thing go in to the abandoned warehouse.
" ' Nephilim; The fallen ones were in the earth in those days, and even afterwards when sons of God come in unto daughters of men, and they have borne to them - they are the heroes, who, from of old, are the men of name.'" Sam read aloud over the hum of the Impala's engine. Dean made a face.
"That's kinda gross don't you think?" Sam gave dean a glare of annoyance. Dean looked over for a second at his younger brother. "What? Maybe Cas is a sperm donor?" Dean smiled.
Sam rolled his eyes and cleared his throat. "Maybe you need to take this a little more seriously. Cas seemed really upset that we ran into them at all. But why? If we can contribute to what they're doing, then why shouldn't we try?" Dean turned into the parking lot of the motel they had checked into earlier in the day.
"Maybe we should just clear out this nest and be o our way. Leave them alone, they leave us alone." Dean got out of the car with his gun in hand, quickly placing in the waist line behind his back. "But Dean, they probably already know about the nest, why even go after it?"
"New York is a pretty big place, Sam. You don't know what they know, and besides, how would we find them?"
《Jace pov》
Jace padded up and down the hallway in front of his bed room door. He couldn't get the two men out of his head. They were Warriors, they knew what to do, how to do it and did t think twice before ensuing it. But they were mundanes, how would they be able to do or even see any of that? They didn't travel with normal Shadowhunter equipment, swords, shortsword, daggers, ect. Per norm. But guns. That's it.
It seemed kind or ridiculous if you asked him.
What are they doing?
Well, he intended to find out.
He went down the hall to Clarys room and lightly but quickly knocked. Not three seconds later did clarys bright face, and even brighter hair, peek out the door with a wide, closed, smile on her face.
"No, go to sleep." She then continued to shut the door. Jace, bewildered at the fact that she knew what he was going to ask, put out a hand and stopped the closing of the door.
"But you don't even-"
"Know what you want?" She cut him off. "Well, considering the nights events, you want to go out and find those two men, am I right?" She stated.
He opened his mouth to further the statement, but before he could get in a breath, she continued.
"But, you don't know where to find them, so you want me to draw a rune to allow you to track them down." She leaned against the door frame, hands clasped together in front of her, a smile on her face. "Tell me I'm wrong."
Jace had his hand on the door nob, and the other on the wall besides the door frame, right next the Clarys head.
"You're wrong." He smiled.
She smiled back. "You're lying."
"Yeah, I know." He laughed a bit.
He leaned forward and kissed her lightly. She pressed her lips onto his, hardening the kiss. Jace pulled back ever so lightly, "please." He asked under their breaths. Clary pulled back and pushed his chest.
"I hate it when you do that." She pushed him away from the door and firmly closed it.
He stood there for a second.
"So, is that a no?" 30 seconds passed and Clary opened the door again, stele in hand, paper in the other.
"This will allow you to see anyone you want as long as you have their name." She handed him the paper.
"How do you know it works?" He asked lightly, inspecting the dark lines on the paper, it looked like a figure 8 with corners and the lower section left open with two arrows over lapping each other. He looked up and saw clarys eyes glowing green and her hand raised, on her forearm amongst multiple white scars was fading black rune. He smiled.
"I'm going to bed now, good night." She smiled as they kissed once more and she closed her door one more time. Jace went to his room to change.
