AN: Thanks everyone for the reviews. Sorry it has taken me so long to update any of my stories. My grandma's on her deathbed so I've been helping my mom out with that. I'm still writing all my stories, but please understand that they won't be updated as fast as they use to be. Please bare with me during this time, and sorry for making you all wait.

Now for my reviewer responses:

lostaloneNY: Thanks! I will keep up with it!

gottaloveva: Thank you as well, glad you're enjoying it!

Also I've gotten a small complaint about the love scene in the last chapter. Did it bother anyone else? Because I'm warning you now, that there will probably be more sex scenes in the future. Especially when I introduce Eric into the story, because you know that Viking... Like Lafayette would say, 'That boy is sex on a stick.'

Throughout the night, Loki and Sookie played out in the snow like a couple of kids. The god couldn't remember the last time he had, had so much fun before. Even when he was a child. They had snowball fights, ice skated, built snow men, and more. When Sookie started to shiver however, Loki knew it was time to go back in. She might have not been fully human, but her body was still not built for prolonged exposure to the cold.

When they came back in, they removed their wet clothes, grabbed the comforter off the bed, and laid down upon the fur rug in front of the fireplace. Loki had magicked them both a cup of hot chocolate with plenty of marshmallows and the two lovers relaxed completely. Both talking about whatever came to mind.

"So the bridge is just a crystallized rainbow?" Sookie asked as Loki told her about Asgard. She was laying on her stomach, propped up on her elbows as her hands held her cup of chocolaty warmth.

Loki nodded, "Yes, it was quite beautiful to look at." The god was laying on his side, head propped up in one hand while the other played with the telepath's hair. "Unfortunately it was destroyed last I saw of it."

"To bad, wish I could have seen it." She took a sip of her drink.

"It might be rebuilt by now, perhaps you could see it one day." He moved, kissing her shoulder, "I think you would enjoy my mother's garden the most. It has the most beautiful flowers you could possibly find in all the nine realms."

Sookie smiled and placed her cup to the side before laying on her back, looking over at the god as he moved closer to her.

"Tell me about your mother." Sookie ordered gently, "So far I only know about your father, and from what I saw I don't think me and him would get along."

Loki frowned, "Odin's not my father, Dear One, remember?"

"I know, but he still raised you. I might not like my parents, but they're still my parents."

Loki kissed her forehead, remembering what Sookie's parents had done to her. He didn't wish to bring forth those bad memories for her.

"Frigga, my mother, can be kind, but she is also very cunning. When she saw that I was not strong like Thor, she taught me to conjure magic instead. She taught me to use my mind instead of my brute strength."

"She sounds pretty smart." Sookie smiled, "Do you think she would like me?"

"Oh I'm positive she would." Loki grinned. "What about your Grandmother? Do you think she would like me?"

"I think she wouldn't be to happy with the way we met or you kidnapping me, but I think she would like you. She would probably ask you a million questions about Asgard and any other worlds you've been to."

Loki smiled at that. He liked the idea of Sookie's Grandmother liking him since she was so important to his faery.

"Tell me more about her." Loki implored.

"Alright, but only if you tell me more about your mother." Sookie smiled up at him.

Loki looked down upon the sleeping face of his faery. She looked so peaceful. He was making sure she had pleasant dreams of him. They were currently in his room back on Asgard talking some more in her dream.

The god could feel it though. He was falling more and more fond of her by the second. This made her his weakness and that worried him. If she was taken from him, she could be used as leverage against him. Especially if his 'partner' found out about her. He wouldn't allow that to happen though. He would protect his Fae. She would be safe always.

With a kiss to her forehead, Loki fell asleep with Sookie tucked away in his arms. Making sure to keep his senses alert in case they had any trouble. Yes, in his arms is where she belonged he decided. Not with S.H.I.E.L.D., not in that horrible little town he planned to burn down one day, and not in that dirty tavern. She belonged by his side as his Queen.

Now that thought made Loki sleep with a smirk on his face.

Sookie awoke first the next day. She smiled at the cool body that was wrapped around her's. Moving back slightly she stared up at the face of the god beside her. He was still asleep. The look on his face was so relaxed, he looked a few years younger.

With a smile, the telepath gently brushed the hair out of his face, but the action still made Loki's eye crack open. With a yawn the god pulled her close again, snuggling her to his chest making her giggle.

"Good morning, Ms. Faery." Loki's voice was husky from sleep.

"Mornin." Sookie smiled and kissed his chest.

"What do you say to us staying in bed all day, hm?"

Sookie grinned and moved to look up at him, "And what would we do in bed all day?"

Loki growled playfully and moved his head to her neck, but before anything could happen a knock came to the door.

Loki groaned then snapped at whoever was knocking, "Who is it, and you better have a good reason for this disturbance!"

Sookie smirked, but the man behind the door's reply was like someone dumped a bucket of freezing water on the both of them.

"We have received word from the team in New York. Everything is ready we're just waiting for your orders, Sir."

In that moment reality came crashing down on the couple.

Loki sighed and moved to get out of bed, "I'll be there in a moment, have everyone prepare for departure!"

Before Loki could rise though, Sookie grabbed his arm. The god looked at his faery and when he saw the look on her face his heart sank. She looked distressed. He wanted nothing more then to stop that look, but he couldn't.

"Loki, you don't have to do this." She tried to reason, "You could stop all of this. We could be together, I'm sure we could work something out."

"Dear one, I must do this." He placed his hand on her cheek, "Don't you see? I could make this realm better. You wouldn't have to be treated like you have always been treated." His warm smile almost made Sookie forget he was talking about world domination.

The god stood, bringing Sookie to stand with him. With a wave of his hand, he was back in his Asgardian armor.

"I'll be King of Midgaurd, and you my dearest..."

Loki took her by the hand and spun her, making a beautiful green medieval looking dress with gold ribbon, embroidery, and lace here and there. Her hair was pulled back with the help of a gold hair clip, and on top of her head was a gold swirly circlet with emeralds accenting it.

"You will be my Queen." He smiled lovingly at the shocked telepath. "We shall rule Midgaurd together, then one day we will rule Asgard. No one will ever look down upon you again."

Sookie didn't know what to say. The god had pretty much just proposed to her. They had just started a relationship last night, and here the man was basically asking her to be his bride. His Queen even!

Loki watched his faery try and process everything. He knew it had to be a shock for her. He hadn't wished to spring this on her in this way, but time was running out. Once the day was through he was going to be ruler of Midgaurd.

Once her thoughts settled, Sookie pulled her hand away gently.

"I'm sorry, Loki. I can't..."

The smile on Loki's face faded.

Sookie looked up at him, her eyes pleading with him, "I don't want to rule, Loki. It's not right. People shouldn't be ruled, they should be able to make their own choices without fear. I admit I do want to be with you, but not like this. Not if it involves world domination."

The god stared down into the eyes of his beloved. He just stood there silently. Then shook his head, a forced smile appearing on his face.

"It's alright, Dear One. You'll come to accept your new role eventually. You'll see my way is what best for you and Midgaurd."

"Loki, I-"

"I'll be back once our conquest of Midgaurd is complete. Until then, just stay in here. If you need anything just ask the guard at your door."

Loki then kissed her and went out the door. Sookie went after him, only to find the door locked again. She then began banging on the door.

"Loki! Loki, please! Don't do this! Loki!" She begged as she banging on the door with her fists.

Loki could hear her as he made his way down the corridor.

"You'll understand one day, Dear One... You'll understand one day." He whispered on his way to the aircraft to go to New York.

AN: As a final note, I'm working on a website to post my fanfics on. It's not ready yet, still formatting it and all, but I figured it would be easier to navigate then tumblr. I'll let everyone know when the site is up and running though.
