AN: Hey everyone! Here's the new chapter, sorry it took longer then I planned. Got my wisdom teeth out.

Response (Since there was only one review -pout-) :

Mistress-Cinder: You have no idea. Just wait until you read this chapter.

As Sookie flew through the air, she briefly wondered if this is what that girl in King Kong felt like when the ape carried her up the Empire State Building. Since she was in the arm of the Hulk, who was currently jumping from building to building to get her to Stark Tower. She would be panicking about the fact that she was unbelievably high off the ground, but she only had one thing currently on her mind.

Loki.

How was she going to try to get through to him? Everyone else seemed to think it was impossible. Could she really talk him out of this?

No.

She wasn't going to back down now. She made her decision. She would stop this madness, no mater what the cost.

Soon they arrived at Stark Tower, and Hulk scaled the side of the building. It was now or never.

When they reached the top, Hulk let her down, she smiled up at him and thanked him before heading to where she heard the fighting.

Loki and Thor were locked in combat, the god of mischief with his scepter and the god of thunder with his hammer. Both had cuts here and there. It had looked like their battle had gone for hours.

Thor knocked Loki back, only to have his brother throw a couple of his throwing blades into his side.

The god of thunder took a knee, his face contorted in pain as he pulled the blades out.

"That was dirty, Loki" he growled.

"Perhaps it was, but you're standing in the way of my victory, and I have a queen to get back to."

"Do you think lady Sookie wants any of this brother?!"

Loki looked thoughtful for a moment then shrugged, "She might not at first, but she'll see this is what's best for Midgaurd." Sookie could still feel doubt and worry from him however. "Either way, like I have stated before, my queen is no longer your concern. I regret the pain your death shall cause her though."

As Loki lifted his scepter to deliver a final blow, Sookie teleported in front of Thor holding her hands out to shield him. Loki was quick to dodge her, even with the shock.

"Darling, what are you doing here? You should be safe back at the cabin!" Loki was mainly upset she had put herself in the middle of this danger.

"This has got to stop, Loki!" Sookie tried to reason with the god, "All this pain and suffering must end. Can't you see how wrong this all is!" She gestured to the war zone around them.

Loki smiled, "Darling, you just don't understand yet, once we rule side by side you will come to see things my way."

"I highly doubt that. No matter what you say or do, I will never believe that this is right." Sookie took a deep breath and walked towards Loki, her eyes staring up into his own, "Please, end all of this. For me at least? If you do, we can go away together. We can go back to that cabin and be happy. Away from S.H.E.I.L.D., away from Asgard, all of it. Please, Loki!"

Sookie never begged. Her Gran had told her once that begging is beneath her; but in this case she would make an exception.

Loki looked down at the pleading tearful eyes of his future queen. His hand came to her cheek and he brushed a few tears from her eyes. He hated the look of her crying. It made his heart break in two. The fact that he was the cause of the tears hurt even more.

How Loki wanted to give Sookie what she wanted, it was to late though.

"I'm sorry." Loki whispered, "But I must do this."

Before Sookie could speak, Loki flooded her mind with images.

A dark planet.

The Chitari torturing Loki.

The grinning face of his captor as Loki swore he would deliver the Tesseract to him in exchange for his freedom. If he didn't the being would make Loki regret it.

When the visions ended, Sookie had fresh tears falling down her cheeks. They were for Loki's pain.

"As you can see I have no choice." He whispered, then kissed her forehead, "I wish I could give you want, but it's to late. I must do this, if I don't and Thanos finds out I went back on our deal, he could kill me or worse... He could get to you, and for all that I am, I will not allow him to go any where near you."

Sookie didn't know what to say. She just stared into Loki's eyes. He wasn't lying. She could feel that. He meant every word he said.

With a gentle push to the side, Loki began walking towards Thor once again, sparing Sookie a small glance.

"I know you do not wish for this, but I promise you, I will become a King worthy of Midgaurd, and with you by my side as my Queen I know I will succeed. I will make this all up to you, even if it takes me til the end of time."

With that, Loki began battling Thor once again.

Sookie was at a loss. She didn't know what to do now. If only that damn energy cube didn't exist!

'Wait...' She suddenly thought.

Sookie looked over at the cube. That's what the Tesseract was. Pure energy. The telepath looked down at her hand. Could she do it? Could she stop all of this?

"It's worth a shot..." She whispered.

Quickly making her way to the cube, Sookie could already feel the energy around it. It was powerful, the air around her felt like pop rocks dancing against her skin. Her instincts were telling her to turn back, but she refused. She would do this. She would stop all of this.

As Thor and Loki fought, the god of thunder was pushed back from a blast of Loki's staff. That's when he saw what his telepathic friend was doing. The look of fear and shock on his face made Loki pause. He followed his brother's gaze to one that made his heart stop. Sookie's hand was raising to touch the Tesseract!

"No!" Loki screamed, running to his love, "Stop, Don-!"

As soon as Sookie's hand touched the cube, she screamed. The pain was intense. Her body was absorbing to much energy all at once. She felt as if she was drowning.

As soon as Loki reached her, the cube cracked, it soon breaking. When this happened it unleashed a large plasma wave. Knocking Loki back and into the ground, Thor was pushed into the wall.

When Loki came to his senses, he pushed himself up, and looked to where Sookie had stood. What he saw made his world come crashing down.

Sookie was on the ground, not moving or breathing.

The god shakily crawled to her, taking her body in his arms. Her eyes were closed, her body limp. He brushed the hair from her face a shaky smile forming.

"Come now, open your eyes Darling. Y-You're alright." He softly pleaded, but she did not move or react, "This isn't funny, Ms. Faery. Please open your eyes."

Thor was coming up behind Loki. He mourned for his friend, but his heart broke for Loki. He could hear his brother's voice breaking as he held Sookie's dead body in his arms. His brother had never lost anyone he cared for before, and he knew he loved Sookie.

"Loki... She's gone." Thor whispered.

"No!" He held her closer and glared up at his brother, tears streaming down his face, "No! She's just in shock from the blast! She'll wake up soon, you'll see!" He looked back down at his Fae, "She'll wake up soon and she'll slap me for everything." He let out a choked laugh. "She's a fiery one after all."

Thor watched his brother, unsure what to do, but then he heard Tony speak about a missile coming towards the city. He had planned to send it through the portal, but now was unsure what to do.

"Has anyone seen, Sookie?" Tony asked.

"Yes..." Thor then explained, what had happened.

Once a new plan was set in motion, they were going to evacuate the city the best they could.

"Loki, a missile is going be coming towards the city... we have to go."

"...No." He held Sookie against his chest.

"Loki-"

"I will not leave her, Thor!" Loki spat, "Just go."

Thor realized what he was planning.

"Brother..."

"Leave!" Loki screamed.

Thor's heart ached, but he knew their was no stopping him. If he forced him to leave, Loki would most likely just kill himself to follow her, or worse, he might do something far more drastic.

"Goodbye, brother."

With that, Thor left.

Loki continued to hold the only woman, besides his mother, that he loved with everything that he was. Tears still falling down his face. It was all his fault. His love was gone, and it was because of his actions.

As he continued to hold her, and could see the missile coming towards them. It would be all over soon.

"I'll see you in Valhalla, darling." He kissed her forehead, closing his eyes as he awaited death.

Not seeing, Sookie's hand twitch and begin to glow blue.

AN: sorry it was kinda a short chapter, but we're getting close to the end of this tale. Most likely there will only be two more chapters, but I will be writing a sequel, so you will have that to look forward to!
