Ch. 10 A Wedding a Long Time Coming
(DREW)
"Okay we have everything in the car and we'll see you guys at the wedding," Glen says reaching to take Velicity from Clare.
"Be a good girl for Grandpa, Uncle Jake and Aunt Katie," Clare says kissing Velicity and handing her to Glen.
Velicity coos and Glen leaves with her, Clare and I gather our stuff and leave for the Sunnybrook Estates where Owen and Paige are getting married today. Clare is the Matron of Honor and I'm Best Man and we can't be keeping an eye on Velicity while doing our duties. So she's coming to the wedding with Glen, Jake and Katie. They'll watch her and take care of her during the ceremony and reception; she's also sleeping at Glen's house tonight. Everyone will be there as this wedding has been a long time coming. Velicity is ten weeks old today and Clare returned to work just a couple of weeks ago. I was able to stay home with them both for the first month and get paid thanks to Bob and all the hard work I did prior to Velicity being born.
"I have so much to do, I'll see you at ceremony time," Clare says giving me a very salacious kiss before she knocks on the dressing room door for the girls.
"See you in a couple of hours, I love you," I tell her just as Ashley opens the door.
"I love you more," she smiles before disappearing into the room.
Since it's not going to take me three hours to get ready I set my stuff down in the guy's dressing room and go out to the main ballroom where the ceremony is taking place. The guests aren't here yet but Paige's mom Rose and Owen's mom Mary are talking with the wedding planner and facility organizers. Flowers and other decorations are being set up; while the moms seem to be directing the decorating more than the facility event planner I don't see Owen or the three groomsmen anywhere. The reception is going to be downstairs in a separate ballroom and since the guys aren't in the ballroom for the ceremony they must be downstairs or wandering around. I find Owen outside sitting on a bench and just sort of staring out into space.
"Where's the others?" I question.
"You're the first one here, Ash came with Paige, and the other two bridesmaids should be here soon if not already. I told Dallas and Tris to come in an hour and Dylan should get here around then too," Owen tells me.
"Then what are we doing here so early? You're not getting cold feet are you?"
"Hell no madly in love with that woman, just can't believe the day has finally come."
"Yeah well it took you seven years so I can understand that. Come on let's go get a drink," I say slapping his back lightly. We get up and go into the dining room, the bar is still being set up but we tell them Owen is the groom and they give us a bottle of whiskey. I pour us both two fingers and hold up the glass, "To a flawless wedding and a happy life."
Owen and I clink glasses and drink, we get some food and walk around a little before going to the dressing room to get ready. Owen's Tux is black with a dark blue vest and dark blue bowtie. Mine is the same but my vest and bowtie are a couple of shades lighter than Owen's and they match Clare's bridesmaid's dress which I've only seen once before. Dylan, Tris and Dallas all arrive at the same time. They all have vests and bowties a couple shades lighter than mine and they match the other bridesmaid's dresses. Adam and Eli are ushers and Krystan is the flower girl. Adam and Eli get dressed first and then go out to begin seating people. It takes about an hour and a half for the rest of us to get into our tuxedos and get our hair done, we're doing our own hair but the girls have professional hairdressers. Owen's dad comes in to see his son and offer words of advice, then Paige's dad does the same. Paige's dad leaves when Owen's mom knocks on the door and says they're ready to begin.
Dylan goes out first escorting Emma down the aisle; Dallas is next escorting Emily, a close friend of Paige's from work, down the aisle. Tris follows them escorting Ashley down the aisle and finally Clare comes out of the room and I offer her my arm, she looks amazing in her long blue dress. It's halter style and has a high waist line so it shows off her gorgeous breasts, the dress has jewels around the waist and halter neckline. The jewels are around the hemline of the dress as well and her shoes match the dress. We walk down the aisle and take our places, I can't take my eyes off of my gorgeous wife but I do see Owen walking down the aisle with his parents from the corner of my eye. Owen takes his place next to me and then I watch Krystan walk down the aisle throwing handfuls of flower petals, she reaches the end of the aisle and then Peter picks her up to sit on the his lap for the ceremony. And now everyone's eyes are on Paige as she's escorted down the aisle by her parents. She takes her place and then the officiator begins
"Welcome everybody. We are thrilled that so many of you could make it here today. One of the wonderful things about a wedding is that it also serves as a kind of multi-family reunion, and it always pleases me at how far people are willing to travel to celebrate the love of two people they care about. Today we celebrate the deep love and bond that Owen and Paige have cultivated together in the years of their relationship. Today is a celebration. A celebration of love, of commitment, of friendship, of family, and of two people who are in it for forever. You don't have to have a ceremony to have a marriage. And when you think about it, the whole thing is kind of weird, right? You're standing on a stage, looking fancy, holding flowers, and being stared at by pretty much everyone who has meant anything to you in the past twenty-something years," the officiator says and everyone laughs.
I look at Clare remembering our own wedding, she looks at me and I whisper, "I love you." I keep watching my beautiful wife while the officiator continues speaking.
"So why do we do it? The marriage ceremony has been an important feature across nearly every culture, religion, generation, and society. We have thousands of important moments that happen throughout our lives, but this one is regarded as one so critical, we acknowledge its special status by sharing it with others. Why this moment? Because despite all of our differences, love is what we all share. It's the great unifier, our one universal truth. That no matter who we are, where we've come from, what we believe, we know this one thing: love is what we're doing right. That's why you both are standing here. That's why you all are here to watch them stand up here. We have all loved in our lifetimes, and in this moment, we're reminded that the ability to love is the very best part of our humanity. All of us here today have our own love stories. Some are short, others long. Some are yet unwritten, while others are just getting to the good part. There are chapters in all of our stories that are sad or disappointing and others that are exciting and full of adventure."
I look smile at Clare thinking of our own love story, how it began with a kiss out of anger and frustration and become the most wonderful, beautiful, amazing thing in my life. How Clare went from being my brother's best friend to my angel. I'm thinking about it and sort of spacing out that I almost don't hear the officiator telling Owen and Paige's story.
"Owen and Paige met nine years ago living in the same apartment building, they formed a friendship and that quickly grew into a loving relationship. A love that found strength when one of their dearest friends had cancer, they stood together and watched two of their dearest friends get married and imagined this moment right now. Their love only nine months ago brought them the greatest gift a child, a son Dylan Andrew that Owen and Paige love and dote on and he is the greatest symbol of their love. They've been together through moments of pain, strife, hardship and worry as well as moments of joy and celebration. All of this, every moment they've been through has brought them to this very moment with everyone here to witness and honor the love they have found together and made together. I'm here, we're all here, because we want those moments for you. We're here to hope with you, to support you, to be proud of you, and to remind you that love isn't happily ever after; love is the experience of writing your story. It's not one moment not even this moment. It's every moment. Big ones like saying "I love you," moving in together, getting engaged but mostly a million little ones that come in between the big moments. Falling asleep next to one another, making dinner together, spending holidays with your families, getting a big hug when you get home from work. These everyday moments fuse together into one big experience. And even though this experience is so incredible, words fail us when we try and explain it. That's just the way it is with love it's meant to be felt, not described. Everyone now just take a moment now and think about one little moment that happened today when someone showed how they love you."
The ballroom goes silent, people looking around at people they love, some closing their eyes. I look at my wife thinking about how woke up and gently kissed my chest this morning, how she's smiling at me right now and how very much I love her. And then the officiant begins speaking again and people open their eyes and once again look at Paige and Owen.
"You fell in love by chance, but you're here today because you're making a choice. You both are choosing each other. You've chosen to be with someone who enhances you, who makes you think, makes you smile, and makes every day brighter. You're about to make promises to each other that you intend to keep. You're going to vow to take care of each other, to stand up for one another, and find happiness in the other. Will you, Owen, keep Paige as your favorite person, to laugh with her, go on adventures with her, support her through life's tough moments, be proud of her, grow old with her, and find new reasons to love her every day?"
"I absolutely, totally and completely will do all that and more," Owen answers. And the officiant repeats the question for Paige switching their names.
"Yes I will with all of my heart," Paige smiles.
"You've both chosen to wear rings as a reminder of these promises. People often say wedding bands are a perfect circle, with no beginning and no end. But these rings did have a beginning. The stones were formed a long time ago deep with the earth. Eventually, a series of lucky events caused them to rise to the surface, where someone dug them up," he says as Clare and I hand Owen and Paige the rings. "Metal was then liquefied in a furnace at a thousand degrees, molded, cooled, and painstakingly polished. Something beautiful was made from raw elements. Love is like that. It comes from humble beginnings, and through a combination of serendipity and effort, imperfect beings shape it into something extraordinary. It's the process of making something beautiful where there was once nothing at all. As you look at these rings over the years, I hope you remember that. You've created something invaluable, and just as I know you'll protect these rings, I'm confident you'll protect the commitments you've made to one other today," the officiator says while Paige and Owen put the rings on the others finger. "May your marriage bring you all the exquisite excitements a marriage should bring. May you need one another, but not out of weakness.
May you want one another, but not out of lack. May you look for things to praise, often say, "I love you!" and take no notice of small faults. May you have happiness, and may you find it making one another happy. May you have love, and may you find it loving one another. Owen and Paige please share your first kiss, of many future kisses, as husband and wife."
Owen and Paige crush their lips together sharing a passionate and extremely blissful kiss. Everyone cheers; claps, some whistle and Owen and Paige break apart smiling. We hug them, Clare kisses their cheeks, the rest of the bridal party celebrates and people begin to be ushered down to the other ballroom for the reception and dinner. The bridal party stays where we are for pictures, we get several in the ballroom and then go outside for several more. When we walk into the reception ballroom Owen and Paige are announced and people cheer. Most of them are eating or dancing already, Velicity is sleeping in Katie's lap. Owen and Paige have their first dance as husband and wife and then we all sit down to eat.
(CLARE)
"Have I mentioned how incredibly gorgeous you look?" Drew whispers as we slow dance.
"Just about a hundred times since the ceremony ended," I grin.
Owen and Paige have been married for two whole hours. We've eaten dinner and given our speeches, now people are dancing and talking, letting they're food settle until it's time for cake. Drew and I spent the last hour mingling and talking, catching up with Eli, Bianca, Dallas, Tris, Maya, Cam, Jake, Katie, Emma, Spin, Jay and a dozen others.
"I can't help it you look amazing, the color brings out your eyes. I think we should disappear for a few minutes, find a quiet room and do out favorite activity," Drew whispers with carnal hope and lascivious anticipation.
"We'll have to be quick they're going to do the cake soon," I reply then bite my lip at just the thought of what we'll be doing.
"We can do quick," Drew smiles.
We quickly and quietly leave the ballroom, going out to the hall. There are a few more people out here and the washrooms are out here. Drew and I just walk down the hall holding hands and the he casually opens a door to the library. It's empty and we go in, Drew locks the door behind us and we walk over to the fireplace, it's not lit but it's still romantic. There's a bench just in front of the fireplace, padded and comfortable, I push Drew down on it and lift my dress so I can straddle his lap. In the years we've been together I'm sure I've kissed Drew millions of times and yet every time our lips touch there's still a surge of electricity. Every time I even think about him touching me my skin tingles with anticipation.
My lips part and Drew's tongue slips between them, our tongues caress and my breathing hitches. Even after all this time he still evokes so much emotion and excitement in me. I Move on his lap, going up a little and deepening the kiss. Nipping his lower lip and gently tugging as I pull out of the kiss. Drew's jacket is already off but he takes off his belt and begins opening his fly while I get my panties off, the rest of our clothing can stay on since we have to be quick. Drew grins at me when he sees my panties are off and I can practically hear his thoughts. He takes my waist gently turning me so that I face the fireplace mantle and I grip onto it. Drew gets on his knees behind me and I spread my legs apart, he lifts my dress getting it up over my ass and then his tongue licks over my pussy lips. I moan and my legs shake just a little, my pussy lips parting at the command of his tongue and then his tongue goes into me.
"Ahmm ohh god," I exhale as my husbands talented tongue shoots around my core. His tongue snakes around, licking everywhere and I moan again and again until I can no longer take it and explode in climatic rapture with a purring moan.
"I love when you moan that way, so rapid and endless that you can't even breathe," Drew smiles having withdrawn his tongue from inside me.
He's standing again and turns me around, standing on the other side of the bench now he takes my waist and touches his lips to mine. I lick my flavor from his lips and sick it from his tongue. Opening the button on his fly his pants fall to his ankles and I tug down his boxers. Taking his growing, throbbing cock in my hand I stroke him a few times. Drew's arm goes under my ass and he lifts me a little, I reach behind me grabbing the mantle as my feet brace on the bench. Drew lifts my dress, I let go of his cock and then in one swift movement he penetrates into me. I make a pleasure gasp and my breathing hitches, one of my hands digging into the mantle the other holding onto Drew's shoulder. He holds me with his hands on my ass, gripping tightly as he begins to pull out. I bite my lip, my head lulls back briefly and then I look up locking my eyes with Drew.
My entire body trembles, every nerve ending in me is tingling and on fire with pleasure. My legs tighten around Drew's waist and I moan his name. Drew increases his pace and the pleasurable moans evoked from my lips become louder and more frequent. Knowing we'll draw attention to us and people to the room if I get much louder I bite my lip and up my head down abducting Drew's lips. My legs wrap around him all together but I still grip the mantle with one hand. Drew's pace increases again, our bodies trembling together; we're both going to explode at any moment. I was already sensitive and I know he's close, then at the same second we exchange climatic moans into the kiss and then break apart in desperate need of a breath. Our movements slow until our orgasms dissipate and then Drew collapses down sitting on the bench with me in his lap.
"We'd better get back," I comment when I can breathe again. I get off Drew's lap and my legs shake a little as I walk over to retrieve my panties.
"You think they'll notice that we smell like sex?" Drew asks fixing his clothes and getting his belt.
"I think that 90% of the people at this wedding know what we're like and won't be surprised at all," I reply.
"True and that was fabulous, of course you know we'll be doing that again tonight since Velicity is being taken care of for the night," Drew smiles as we straighten the room and make sure there isn't any evidence of what we were doing. We've only been having sex again for a couple of weeks since Velicity's birth. We've also been fairly insatiable in those couple of weeks.
"I know," I smile and we leave the library going back to the ballroom. I see Glen with Velicity and Owens mom with Andrew talking near the door. Krystan is running around with the little boy of one of Paige's co-workers.
"There you are we waited to do cut the cake because we couldn't find you," Paige says coming over to us with Owen.
"Sorry we were…"
"I know what you were doing, you smell like sex and I know what you two are like," Owen comments.
"I needed my dessert before cake," Drew grins and I smack his chest.
"Go tell the DJ that it's time for cake," I order and Drew smiles kissing my cheek before running over to the DJ.
The DJ announces that it's time for cake and everyone gathers around as the cake is brought in. Owen and Paige cut the cake, each taking a small bite and feeding it to each other; we all clap and cheer for them. They cut real slices of cake and then someone from event staff takes over cutting the cake. We sit down and start to eat when Jake walks over holding Velicity to me.
"I think she just needs Mom she's been fussing and we've tried everything," Jake says.
"It's a good thing I'm wearing a nursing bra and I pumped right before the ceremony began," I comment as my breasts begin to ache.
"You want me to take her?" Drew questions.
"No I'm going to take her out and see if she needs to be fed, it might just be that she's tired and fussy and all of this is too much for her," I reply.
"I'll come with you we can go back to the library," Drew says and I smile. "Save our cake we'll be right back," Drew says to Dylan and he nods.
We take Velicity out to the library and Drew locks the door again. Then he unzips my dress and I sit in a supportive armchair, opening my bra I hold Velicity up. She latches on and feeds for about a minute then stops and starts crying again.
"I think she's overtired," I tell Drew.
"It's been a big day for her, give her here and you can go tell Glen. The receptions pretty much over anyway," Drew comments.
I hand Velicity to him, he holds her with one arm bouncing lightly and I fix my bra. Drew helps me zip my dress and I go back to the ballroom. I find Glen and tell him that Velicity is tired and she needs to go. He says that's fine he was pretty much ready to go anyway. He says goodbye and congratulations to Owen and Paige and I walk him to the library.
"Come on Velicity time to go home with Grandpa," Glen says taking a half asleep Velicity from her dad's arms. She fusses a little and then settles into her grandpa's arms beginning to fall back asleep. "We'll see you tomorrow," Glen smiles as I kiss Velicity's forehead. Jake and Katie fly back to California tomorrow so we're all having lunch together.
We say goodbye and walk back to the ballroom, we finish our cake and then Paige throws the bouquet which gets caught by Maya. Owen throws Paige's garter, after very much enjoying taking it off with his teeth, and Dallas catches it. The happy couple waves and we say goodbye as we walk them out to their car and wave until they are out of sight and leaving for their honeymoon.
"Let's go home Angel so I can ravish you again," Drew says to me when Owen and Paige are out of sight.
"That sounds like a wonderful evening Husband, I love you more."
"I love you more Angel, I love you more."
Update on Wednesday will include Adam and Ashley's wedding and will likely be the last chapter.
