AN: Here's the last chapter, there's information about the next story at the end. I'm working on the chapter as soon as I upload this one, hopefully it will be up today or tomorrow. I promise it will be up before the end of the week.

Also, hope you all had a good Holiday!

angelicedg: one day, one day my friend.

"Where would you like me to put this, Mam?" Steve spoke as he brought a large pine tree in from outside.

Sookie's Gran smiled at the young looking man and pointed to the living room.

"Near the fire place should be fine." She then placed a sheet of gingerbread cookies in the oven.

Steve smiled back and moved the tree to where the older looking woman indicated. Bruce was in there untangling lights, while Sookie was opening the box the ornaments were in. The telepath took a moment to look up and smile at the Cap.

"Thanks again for helping, Cap." She then turned her attention to Bruce, "Thanks for your help too, Bruce."

"It's no trouble at all." Bruce smiled back.

Steve nodded in agreement, "You were nice enough to invite us over for the holidays. It defiantly beats spending Christmas alone at S.H.E.I.L.D. HQ."

Sookie chuckled and nodded in agreement. Adele soon came in with a plate of gingerbread men.

"Here are some cookies for Santa's little helpers." She then looked over to Steve. "I still cannot believe that the Captain America is in my house. I can still remember going to one of your shows as a little girl."

Steve grinned, and Sookie simply smiled at the two. Steve had been over a few times since New York, and over time he had grown quite fond of Adele Stackhouse. They would reminisce about the old days and talk about 'good' music.

When Sookie's mind went towards the topic of New York, she could feel the pain in her heart once again.

Adele saw the pain in Sookie's eyes, and quickly spoke to her, "Sookie, dear, would you mind getting those red ribbons from the attic? You know those ones we hang on the bannister."

"Huh? Oh, sure, Gran." The telepath was still lost in her thoughts as she headed up stairs.

Steve and Bruce watched her as she headed up. Bruce then turned to Adele, a concerned look in his eyes.

"How has she been?"

Adele sighed, "She has stopped calling out in her sleep, but I can still see the pain in her eyes."

It had been several months since New York, however Adele Stackhouse could still remember the day her granddaughter came home like it had been yesterday. A red headed woman had helped her into the house. She was silent. Her eyes puffy and red. She had never seen her Sookie so broken, not even when her parents had died.

Sookie wouldn't speak of her time away to her. She claimed it was because it was classified and she wasn't allowed to speak about it, but the old woman could sense there was more to it. Especially when Sookie would cry out a name in her sleep.

Loki.

She didn't push the subject though. She just continued to try her best to heal the wound that had been dealt to her granddaughter's heart.

Bruce looked at Steve this time, the soldier was looking into the fireplace, his fist clenched.

The timer on the cookies finally went off, and Adele went into the kitchen to retrieve them. Since they were alone now, Bruce stood and moved beside the Cap.

"She shouldn't have been alone with him, Bruce." Steve spoke lowly. "If she hadn't of been anywhere near him this wouldn't have happened."

Bruce sighed and shuffled his feet, "If S.H.E.I.L.D. hadn't involved her, this wouldn't have happened. Let's face it, the one truly at fault is them. She was innocent and young... now look at her. She has the same haunted look as the rest of us."

"Did Stark say anything about her new powers?"

"He's still running tests. Well trying to anyway. He says whenever he tries to analyze the blood, tissue, and even bone marrow samples he took from her they deteriorate before he can run any tests on them." Bruce sighed, "He's worried about her too, he wanted to come with me, but Pepper's father is in the hospital so he had to go with her."

Steve nodded, "I would have done the same." He then looked to the stairs, "I just hope Sookie can overcome all of this."

It took Sookie several boxes, but eventually she found the bows. There was a variety of ribbons of different shapes and sizes. One set caught her eye though. They were green with glittery snow flakes on them.

The same green as his eyes.

Sookie held the ribbons close then looked out the small attic window up at the sky, a tear falling down her cheek.

"Loki." She whispered.

Thor traveled down the steps the lead to the prison cells. This was where the most dangerous criminals of the nine realms were kept. After several turns he finally reached his destination. He looked into the cell before him, it was the largest cell and the most decorated. It looked more like a bedroom then a prison.

Loki was laying on the bed, tossing a cup into the air and catching it. When he sensed Thor's presence he stopped.

Not bothering to look over at his visitor Loki spoke up, "And what do I owe this generous visit, Thor?"

"I have come to inform you that I will be visiting Midgaurd this evening, and was wondering if you would like me to check in on anyone."

"... And why are you going to Midgaurd?"

Thor noted that Loki didn't say yes or no to his question.

"I am going to visit Jane. It's a Midgaurdian holiday known as 'Christmas', Jane had informed me about it last I saw her. Apparently one is suppose to spend it with their family and loved ones, and exchange gifts." He held up a wrapped package he had gotten for her. " I have gotten her dress from our realm. I thought she would enjoy it."

Loki regarded Thor for a moment then looked away. Thor thought perhaps he wasn't interested in contacting Lady Sookie after all.

"Do all Midgaurdians celebrate this 'Christmas'?" He suddenly inquired.

Twas the night before Christmas, and all through the house, not a creature was stirring, except for Sookie Stackhouse.

Sookie was still awake, eating some of the cookies her Gran had baked. The boys had all drank to much eggnog and were now passed out in the guest room. Gran had gone to bed soon after that. She had to get up early to prepare for Christmas dinner after all.

Noticing her glass was running low on milk, Sookie created a portal with the wave of her hand, stuck her hand into it and pulled out a carton of milk from the fridge.

She was getting more use to her new powers. She kept them a secret from Gran though. She didn't want to worry her.

Suddenly a chill went up Sookie's spine and she looked out the window. She could see the sky start to shine slightly, then a beam of light came down into her front yard.

Standing, Sookie went to the front door and opened it, stepping outside to greet her visitor. Before her, on her lawn stood Thor. He was holding several wrapped packages.

"Hiya, big guy." She smiled at her old friend.

"Merry Christmas, Lady Sookie." He smiled back.

The two moved to the back porch where there was a lawn table and chairs. Thor placed the gifts on the table carefully.

"These are for you." He grinned.

"I guess Jane has been educating you about Midgaurdian traditions?" Sookie grinned, "You didn't have to get me anything, Thor, I don't have anything to give you... I guess I could wrap some cookies up for you."

"They're not all from me." He picked up a small wrapped gift. By the shape Sookie guessed it was a book. "This is from Jane."

Sookie opened it, and giggled. It was a book about Norse Mythology. There was a note on the front.

'I recommend you read the 'Mjolnir Thief' story first. Thor says most of the stories are false, but I think you'll get a kick out of it. -Jane'

Thor then gave her his gift. It was a bottle with some sort of pink liquid in it. The way he explained it was that you put a drop of the liquid in a bath and it would melt any stress she would feel. Apparently someone named 'Sif', swore by it. It also smelled like flowers.

Sookie then looked at the rest of the gifts. There were three. A small box, a long box, and a larger thin box. All wrapped in green silk and black and gold bows.

"Those are from-" Thor began to explain.

"You don't need to tell me, I can guess." Sookie cut him off. It hurt to much to hear is name still, and she would not cry in front of Thor.

Thor nodded, "He told me to leave you be while you opened them. I will be where I first landed."

Once Thor left Sookie picked up the larger box first. She had noticed there was a note tucked under the ribbon, but she placed it to the side. She wasn't emotionally prepared for that yet.

Inside the larger box, was the jacket she had worn at the cabin. The one he had conjured up for her. She smiled at the memory, and took off the hoodie she was currently wearing over her pajamas, and put on the coat.

The long box, to her surprise, had a dagger in it. It had runes on the blade, and the handle was made to look like a snake was coiled around it. The snakes eyes were two small green stones that almost looked like they were glowing.

The final box, had a bracelet inside. It too was fashioned to look like a snake. When Sookie put it on her wrist however, the snake came to life, bit her, and vanished. She winced and cursed.

"What the hell?" She growled.

When she looked back at where the snake bit her, a marking was forming. It looked like two snakes coiled around each other.

Now she was curious.

Picking up the note, Sookie began to read it.

My Darling,

I hope this letter finds you well. Thor had informed me of this Christmas

and that you celebrate this festival, so I have gotten you these gifts.

The coat I had conjured for you.

A dagger to protect you. It was one of my own. If you stab someone with it

the blade will inject a venom to paralyze them. Thus giving you an advantage.

The last gift is special. It's my mark. It will assure me that you are safe and well.

It will also inform you if someone is lying to you. I know your gifts can

only go so far.

I think of you often in my cell. I do believe Odin means to keep me locked

away until Ragnarok, so I do not know if we shall see each other.

With that in mind, I do not wish to hold you back from your happiness.

I do not wish for you to wait for me. If you find another that can love you,

know that I will not hold it against you if you wish to be with them.

You shall always be my queen in my heart, but I will not deny you happiness.

Be safe my Darling, and know you are the only one who occupies my heart and

thoughts. Stay safe, and find happiness. Even if it's not with me.

Love always,

Loki

Sookie bit back a sob, she was right, she wasn't emotionally prepared for that. It was a nice sentiment, but she doubted she would ever be able to heal from this heartbreak. It figures, the one time she fully let someone into her heart, he gets locked up until the end of days.

Loki awaited Thor's return, he was sitting up on his bed. He could somewhat feel Sookie now. She was alive and well. It made him smile. It wasn't that much of a connection compared to their shared dreams, but he couldn't complain. It put his mind at ease.

Large footsteps could be heard suddenly, and Thor soon appeared before Loki's cell. The god of thunder held up a small package with a note on it.

"From you-know-who." He then tossed it to his brother.

Loki caught it and looked it over. It was nicely wrapped in blue paper, with a small silver bow in the corner. When he looked up, Thor had already left.

Taking the note off first, Loki began to read it.

Loki,

Thank you for the gifts, even the bracelet which scared the

living daylights out of me. You try something like that again

and I'll smack you.

Loki chuckled, "She must have not read the note first."

I didn't have anything for you, considering everything, but

I hope you like my gift.

Loki paused from his reading, and decided to open the gift. Inside the box was a bag of cookies and a smaller box. When he opened that box, inside was a small silver locket with a picture of his Sookie inside. He smiled and quickly put the necklace on, hiding it under his shirt. Then he continued reading,

I'm sorry that you have to be locked up like that.

I wish there was something I could do to help, but I will do as you say.

I doubt I'll be able to find someone else, like you wish for me, but

I will try and move on.

Just know that you will always be in my heart as well.

I can't help but think of you daily.

I love you, Loki, and I always will.

-Sookie.

Loki smiled sadly at the note and held it over the candle on his nightstand, letting it burn. He didn't want to risk anyone seeing it. Her words were for him alone.

He then laid back on his bed, periodically eating the cookies she had sent. If only he had made other choices, they could be in their cabin right now, eating these together and drinking hot chocolate.

"No use dwelling on the past... Perhaps there will be a future for us one day, Ms. Faery." He spoke to no one in particular, mainly himself.

He would find a way back to her, even if it took centuries to do so.

AN: And that's the end of Frozen. The next story will be entitled 'Frost Bite' and more characters from True Blood will be making an appearance, including a certain Viking.

Some other points:

- It will be mainly Sookie x Eric, but will eventually be Eric x Sookie x Loki. Yes, a three-way. There will also be sex scenes. If you don't like that, you don't have to read it. Honestly though, like I've said before, this is a True Blood crossover, not having sex in it is like Tony Stark trying to fly without his Iron Man suit. Also Eric is the embodiment of sex, if you don't think he isn't going to have sex with Sookie you must be on something.

- Sookie's new powers will be explained, including 'Signy'. Those who know about Norse mythology or the Marvel universe, will know some about her, and might have an idea of where I'm going with this, but not fully.

- I'll be changing some of the Marvel mythos, so don't shoot me. I just don't know everything about it, so I'll be going my own way about it. So things will most likely be different, especially since this is a crossover.
