I have finally update it been almost a month sorry, it took so long but I hope you enjoy, this chapter.
Mongolia High was filled with sound of voice and feet quickly moving around putting the last touch on their projects for the festival. In the baseball club room was just as loud as the boys quickly got dress and begin setting up. Natsu was pondering on why Lucy was mad at while struggling to put on his bowtie. He was snap out of his thought when Gajeel came grumbling by him.
"What wrong?" he asked.
"Well first of all who the hell came out with this shitty costume and these pant are to tight they are squeezing everything. My junk can't breath." he complained
"Like there was anything there to begin with." said Gray as he put on his vest.
"I don't know about you guys but, I kinda of like the way my ass looks in these pants. I look sexy good. The ladies will definitely love it. " Said Loke with his usual self confidence as he was examining his butt in the changing mirror .
Suddenly the noise stopped in the room and the cause was no other than the Lucy and Lisanna walking in their bunny costumes. Lucy was blushing madly while looking at the floor. She was wearing a red bunny suit that showed her large busted and a pair of black legging that hugged her curves. A pair of white bunny ears laid perfectly on her silky blond her feet were a 3 inch red pair of pumps. Lisanna wore a matching black costume.
"How do we look?" Lisanna asked the awe struck boys. All their mouth just hung out without a sound coming from them.
Nastu eyes stayed glue to Lucy which made her even more uncomfortable.
Loke broke the long silence. "Damn you girls look smoking hot." Laughter followed his comment.
Natsu eyes still rested on Lucy the more he looked the more his cheeks heated up.
"Natsu what wong you cheeks are bright red?"
"Ummnn-nothing." Natsu lied with embarrassment.
"Oh Ok well guy we have 60 minutes before they open the doors to the public." Gray stated to everyone."So girls you guys can get cooking and ummm Loke and Laxus you pass out flyers."
"I'll help the girls." Natsu said volunteering.
"Natsu you can cook?" asked Gray raising his eyebrows.
"Yeah h-he cook really good." Lucy suddenly blurting out.
"Well if you say so then yeah you can." Gray agreed.
Lucy walked over to the kitchen area and picked up the recipe book. She had always been the smarts in her classes,algebra had nothing on her but looking at the recipe made her feel clueless.
"What is tablespoon?" She whispered softly to herself.
"Thanks Luce." Natsu said to her patting her on the head. Lucy didn't replied and continued to be absorbed in reading the recipe.
"Let's start cooking." He said excitedly to her with a smile but to no avail she stilled didn't reply. Natsu smile fell and a wave of sadness washed over him like a waterfall.
"Lucy can we t…" he begin only to be cut of by Lisanna who enthusiastically grab Natsu a pulled over the hand mixer saying "Come on Natsu let's get cooking."Nastu have her a wary nod.
"So what are we making first?" Lucy asked without lifting her head from the recipe.
"Cupcakes." Lisanna replied.
The three begin to cook. Lucy stay in her own little bubble of thought without saying a word to Natsu. She would only pass the ingredients he asked for. This only made Natsu feel even more depressed. Lisanna took no notice of the awkward atmosphere. Finally they finished without a hitch.
"These look great guys." Gray said looking a upon their creations. "It is unbelieveable what can get done in an hour with your kind of team work."
Natsu walked over to Lucy to ask her to talk. Before he could Lucy moved away.
"I going to go clean myself up a bit." Lucy replied as she exited the room.
Lucy felt as though a there was a rock in her heart weighing her down. She really did want to talk to Natsu but it was just too awkward. She was on her way to bathroom when she heard her name being called. She hoped it wasn't Nastu. She turn around to see Gajeel running after her.
"What does he want?" She thought to herself.
"Umm Lucy can I ask you a favor ?" Gajeel asked blushing madly.
"Umm sure what is it?" she replied with a state of wonder.
"C-C-Can you g-give this t-t-o Levy but tell her it was me." Gajeel stutter as he open his fist to show Lucy piece of paper. Lucy was surprised that a big guy like him was so nervous he stuttered just like her.
"Sure." she quickly taking the paper from his hand but cringe a little because it was wet with what was probably sweat.
"Thank you ." He said smiling weakly.
Lucy nodded and went to find Levy. Levy was a part of the literature club and was busily getting ready for the festival. Levy was organized the vast storage of books that the club had.
"Levy." Lucy said walking up beside her.
"Oh hey in your hair?" Levy suddenly remembered that she forgot to go the bathroom like she intended. She probably had all kinds of stuff in her hair.
"We were baking some stuff." Lucy stated to Levy.
"Oh Costume." uttered
"Thanks. Ummm someone wanted me to give this to you." Lucy announced handing the paper to Levy. Levy slowly opened the paper as if it was a precious birthday gift. Levy eyes wide as she read the note her cheeks started to burn brightly. She a squeal of joy came out ther mouth.
"Lucy who gave you this?" she inquired with excitement. Lucy was contemplating whether or not to tell her.
"Umm that classified ." Lucy said slowly.
"Oh so he want to play the mysterious type." Levy blurted out.
"What in the paper?" Lucy asked wondering what could have gotten her all worked up.
"Since the beginning of the year I would get love notes but just any kind they were beautiful piece of poetry. I just have to find out who. I got to go." She reported eagerly as she jumped out of her chair forgetting her job. she left Lucy standing there in confusion. Gajeel couldn't probably be the mystery poet.
Levy out brusted made people stare and they probably staring even more because Lucy looked a hot mess. Lucy had a cloud of thoughts in her made so she didn't notice that she bumped into someone. Who ever it was had rock hard abs. Lucy looked up to find Sting looking down at her. Her cheeks instantly heated up.
"We must have a habit of running in each, I must be fate." Sting said to Lucy in his soothing voice . Lucy was so close she could smell his cool breath.
"Spearmint." she thought
"Ummm yea I guess." Lucy replied. Sting began to stare at Lucy hard.
"I now I got stuff in my hair." She told him
"No it not that, I just that you look really cute in the bunny costume." He said with a smile that made Lucy blush.
"T-T-Thank you." Lucy stuttered.
"Are you going to dance tomorrow night?" he asked her.
Lucy was unsure about going since she might be to only loser without a date.
"Well if you are maybe we could go together not as a date or anything but as friends." Sting said as he his cheek heated up. Lucy was stunned by his sudden suggestion. She never thought that anyone who ask her out. She decide that might be the first step in getting over her little crush on Natsu. She replied quickly. " Yes I would love too." Sting expression was happy while a pink hair fellow standing some distance away from them was not. Natsu felt his heart sink. Another guy taking Lucy to dance was unthinkable to him. He felt couldn't bear to hear anymore and walked away leaving Lucy and her date.
"Natsu there you are." said a voice behind him. It Lisanna.
"We have what we should wear for the dance. I going to be Snow white and you can go as the princ..." but she suddenly cut off by Natsu who said " I don't I feel like goin to the stupid dance anymore."
"What, why." Lisanna said a little shaken by sudden Natsu out brust.
"I just don't feel good ok you have to find someone else." Natsu said sharply.
"What do you mean someone else? I want to go to the dance with you." Lisanna shouted as tears flowed down her eyes. Natsu was surprised he never made a girl cry before. Suddenly a NAtsu regretted snap on her like that it wasn't her fault it was his.
Lisanna continued to sob. "Hey listen I'm sorry,I shouldn't have said those things." Natsu said trying to calm her down, he patted her head.
"You still want to go the dance?" Lisanna replied through so sob.
"Yeah I do." He told her nodding his head. Lisanna then grabbed Natsu a gave him a hug.
"Whatever wrong you can tell me." She whispered in his ear.
"Hey you to lover bird on PDA in the hall." yelled Mr. Dicktips who standing behind them.
"Sorry." Lisanna replied letting go of Natsu.
The first day of the festival was a blur to Natsu. Nothing could have made his day better. No even the cat call all the girls gave him.
Lucy on the other hand thought things we looking up.
When the doors finally closed everyone was tried out and left early to get a head start for another busy day.
Lucy was on her way out when Levy stopped her.
"Lucy." Levy squealed. "Why didn't you tell me it was Gajeel."
"He said not to." Lucy replied tiredly.
"Well anyway at first I thought I was weird they wanted me to meet them on the roof, but then when Gajeel came out I thought there was some kind of mistake. There was no way a big,tough guy like him would write love poems. But then he started reciting a poem and it was just beautiful. Then he asked me to the dance and i just couldn't' refuse. " Levy recounted happily.
"That great." Lucy told her as rubbed her eye.
"I'm sorry we can't go together." Levy apologizes . "But I bet you're going with Natsu."
"No Natsu going with Lisanna." Lucy replied
"He's what!" They both heard from a voice they knew to be Erza's.
Lucy and Levy turned to her. "How could he do such a thing. When i find I'll." The red hair female replied angrily.
"There no need for that because I'm going with some else." Lucy said to her trying to calm her down from doing anything hasty.
"WHAT,WHO." both of Lucy friends replied in unison.
"I'm going with Sting." She told them.
"Oh, the really hot new kid?" Levy stated.
"Ummm yea." Lucy replied to her.
Lucy recounted to them how they meet and then today when he asked her out.
"That great." Levy said unsurely.
"Oh ok." was what came out of Erza's mouth.
They both thought Natsu and Lucy would make a cute couple.
"Lucy have you told Natsu about you studying abroad." Levy asked
"No." Lucy replied with guilt. " I have been kind of avoiding him lately."
"Lucy came on if you really care you would tell him." Levy told.
"I know but it is really awkward." replied
"Well you have to tell him soon or later." said Erza. Lucy was going to tell that she would when she saw her parents' car drive up. She waved goodbye to them a got into the car.
When she got home she decide she would text him;
Natsu, there is something I have been meaning to tell you. I'm leaving soon to study abroad. I'm sorry I been avoiding you I would have told you soon but things have came up. Please forgive me.
Lucy.
She read over it a few time before deciding the best way to tell him was face to face.
"Tomorrow for sure I will tell him." She said to herself.
There you have it people. Lucy going with Sting. Poor, Poor Nastu, will Lucy ever tell him she moving away and will he get to confess his love.
