Don't hate me for not updating sooner. They was a tie for Grandma Dragneel and The baseball Club SO I decide I'll do both since you guys stayed with me so longer. They will be coming up soon so look for those. Heads up there is alot of Drama in this chappie.
Natsu felt as if there was a storm raging in his heart. The words his father said stilled echoed in his head. His mind and heart were at war with each other, both wanted him to do the opposite of what the opposite told him to do. He loved Lucy and wanted to be with her but he had a responsibility to his family. Why can he have both?Why did the world have to be so difficult ? Just when he thinks he is getting over on hurdle he has yet another coming right at him. There was no solution to his problem that wouldn't bring heartache and pain. Natsu let out a loud groan and rubbed his face when he heard his alarm go off.
Damn is the weekend over already. He was in no mood to go to school right now. School had too many problems Natsu wasn't ready to face yet. Lisanna and Lucy, his friends who were worried about him,everyone else.
"Natsu he heard his mother call."
"I'm up don't worry." he said back to her as he lifted himself up with his elbows.
"Can I come in for a second?"She didn't feel like talking at the moment but he what could he said she was his mother after all.
"Um yeah come in." He replied tiredly.
His mother opened the door and weakly smiled at him.
"I wanted to talk to you yesterday but I didn't get the chance." she said sitting down at the edge of his bed. He let outs almost inaudible moan.
"I'm sorry for not telling you about the marriage it's just that weren't sure how you were going to take it." She said. She looking intensely into Natsu's eyes before speaking again. "The Strusses have been a long time friend of ours and made the union between you and Lisanna before you were born. They really help us you know, the family company is going through a small hiccup right now and we don't want to go vexing the very people that could help us. I bet you father already told you this right but after you graduate from college he is hand the whole company over to you and retiring. Natsu ain't you excited you finally the very man sitting in the big chair you loved so much as a child. The arranged marriage will only be a small hurdle in your path to success."
Natsu was at a lost from words they were just using him as a pawn for business,even though they wouldn't come right out and say it. Natsu felt anger rise in him, that whole crap about taking care of the family was just an excuse to make him feel like it was his obligation. Natsu opened his mouth to say something but him mother cut him off.
"Natsu I know you may be angry with us for doing this to you. It hurts me too a mother alway wants to see her child happy. You probably hate me now. Lucy a really sweet girl and all but..." Natsu cut his mother off before she finished saying. "Yes Lucy is a really really sweet girl and I love her and I refuse to end our relationship on you command our and one else's. You say you want me to be happy then call of the marriage then I will be truly happy. If you're worried about the business don't be I'm betting the Heartfilia's would be love to help us they your friends too."
"Natsu it not that simple."
"Why why can't anything in my life just be simple for once."
"I'm sorry Natsu I wish I could help."
"I already told how you can help by calling off that stupid marriage. If your not going to do that then I don't want any of your help, I'll find a solution on my own." Natsu a said as his temper rose. His mother looked at him hurt and stunned,but didn't say anything but sigh and quietly walk out the room. After she left Natsu felt a bit ashamed of how he treated her but his parents were going to let his relationship with Lucy last even if it meant his happiness.
Lucy was walking on air today was the first day she and Natsu we going to school as a couple,the weekend did nothing to faze her excitement. She never thought she could have a boyfriend let alone have a guy even be attracted to her. He beep notify her she had a text message. She hoped it was Natsu but instead it was Sting wishing her a Good Morning. She smiled and texted back telling him a good morning too. Then she decide to text Natsu first only to stop halfway in her message, when another incoming text from Sting came in. It read: "Meet me in the morning I have something for you.( ´ ▽ ` )ﾉ"
Lucy bit her lip she was thinking of meeting Natsu but she decide to see him after and texted back; "Sure (^・ω・^ ). What is the surprize?"
He texted her back saying "You just have to wait and see.〜(￣▽￣〜)"
She sent him a smiley face and reply ok. She then tried again to send a message to Natsu only to sit on her bed completing the right words to say.
"Ugh since when was texting Good Morning so hard." She said letting out a frustrated groan."I want to say something cute and witty but don't know what to say. Oh forgot I see him in the morning." She decided getting up off her bed.
When she reached school she found Sting standing by her cubby talking a girl with short pink hair and a blue hairbow . Lucy was about to walk right up when she saw that ever so familiar white envelope.
"Sting getting a Love letter!" She whispered to herself. She began to back up to give them space when Sting yelled out to her. "Hey Lucy." The girl turned around to face Lucy, she nodded to Lucy then smiled weakly walking away.
"What was that all about?" Lucy asked as she walked up to Sting.
"Uhh I just got a love confession and I have been her for a month yet." He laughed as he rubbed the back of his head.
"Oh I see. What did you say?" Lucy said elbowing him gently.
"UHH I turned her down." He said looking nonchalant.
"What why she was really cute." Lucy said surprised.
"Oh you know I'm not ready for a relationship." He said shrugging. Lucy only let out a simple oh. "But on note here's you surprise." he said pulling out a pair of tickets. "I remembered you said they were your favorite group,so as a going away gift I got you a pair of tickets." He said was stunned she didn't know if it was the fact he got her a gift a going away gift or that he remembered her favorite band and went through trouble to buy her tickets.
"Umm I don't know what to say." Lucy started."But thank you so much."
"Lucy look I was kind of wondering if you would…" Lucy hearted stop what was he going to ask her, She looked at Sting intently waiting for her to finish only to hear Natsu voice calling her name.
"Lucy there you are I was looking for you." Natsu said walking up beside her. Even an idiot could feel the sudden tense in the air.
"So what is this?" Natsu said puckly the tickets out of Lucy's grasp. He looked at the ticket and then at Sting and Lucy.
"Umm Sting gave me some tickets as thank you gift for….."
"For what?" Natsu said in low growl like voice making Lucy jump a little. He has never used that voice before at least not with her.
"What is it to you?" Sting asked match Natsu own low growl like voice. He look at the Lucy, who jumped at the sound of his voice too.
"Umm look S-S-Sting…. NN-N-atsu is my….." Lucy began as she stumbled over her own tongue.
"I'm her boyfriend." Natsu said emphasizing the last word.
"So you to are dating?" Sting a said looking from Natsu to Lucy frowning.
"Yes we're dating? May I asked who you are to my girlfriend?" Natsu said again emphasizing the last word.
"I'm just her friend." Sting said glaring at Natsu. Natsu mouth were fighting to form a smirk."Lucy I hope you enjoy those ticket with who ever you go with. See you around ok." Sting said walking away.
"Thank you again and ya see you around too." Lucy said weakly as she felt Natsu eyes fall back on her.
"What the hell was that?"Natsu said sounding pissed.
"Sting was just being nice that all." Lucy said looking anywhere but at Natsu.
"Yeah right just being nice huh well his "just being nice" sounded like he was going to ask you out on a date."
Lucy opened her mouth to say something when the bell rang. "Forget it let's just drop and go to class." Natsu said walking ahead.
Lucy couldn't believe their first day of school as a couple wasn't starting off so well.
Lisanna was heart broken. Natsu was going out with Lucy. She didn't mean to eavesdrop but she want to know what had made Natsu angry. When she heard him say he was Lucy's boyfriend and the way he got jealous for her made her heart break. She felt a little stupid for not seeing before. The way he looked her anyone could tell but Lisanna was blind when it came to Natsu. She didn't even put up a fight to stop her tears from coming out. She didn't care if she was spoiling her makeup, she didn't have anybody to impress. She walking blindly through the hallway after she heard the bell. She didn't realize she had bumped into any one until she hit the floor.
"Sorry." The person said in husky voice making it clear that they were a male. "Here let me help you up." They said extending a hand. Lisanna finally looked up only to meet eye with the very guy from this morning. "You're not hurt are you?" He asked helping her up.
"No." she said quietly looking at the ground.
"Hey wait you're the girl who was with that Natsu guy are you his ex or something." He said when he finally got a good look at her.
"Yeah something like that." Lisanna replied.
"What's wrong?" Sting asked.
"None of your business. I leaving we're late for class." Lisanna said angrily. She didn't mean to get angry but the last thing she need in someone all up in her face.
"I guess we both got burned and used." He said.
"What." Lisanna asked turning around.
"Natsu used you and left and Lucy did the same to me." He clarified."I wished there was someway to make them see what their missing."
"Yeah I wish." Lisanna said unconsciously.
"Well I guess I see ya." He said turning around.
"Wait umm you know I'm not Natsu's ex I'm his fiance."
"But he dating Lucy." Sting said confused.
"Yeah I know messed up right." Lisanna let out a weak laugh.
"Yeah that really messed up, but we better get going we're late like you said. I'm Sting by the way." He said giving her his million dollar smile.
"I'm Lissanna." She said back smiling back.
"Well Lisanna I hope to be become better acquainted with you in the future." I said to her as he turned around.
"Yeah me too."
When she finally got home her mother handed her an invitation with saying that she and her family were invited to a house party at Dragneels. Lucy was surprised Natsu didn't say anything to her, he in fact said very little to her today after the fiasco with Sting who she could find to apologize to. Just looking at this invitation for some reason Lucy got feeling like a storm was coming that was going to change her life forever.
