A/N: I strongly apologize for the long wait. I am being prepared for high school, so I have been extremely busy with homework and studying. I have realized that my writing skills have dropped greatly, so if you have any recommendations on how I can change things in the story, please tell me. I apologize again, and I hope this filler chapter is able to make up for it.
Disclaimer: I do not own any of this, except for my ideas for the story.
Oz's POV
All heads turn as we heard the crashing sounds under the floor below us. I turned around and opened my mouth to talk to Alice, but she wasn't standing next to me like she always was. Ciel, who was by my side after our little spat, tilted his head slightly, looked in my direction, and smiled. He freaking smiled. That was all it took to slam open the doors and run down the hall like a lunatic.
Alice… Was all I thought of before slamming the door of the basement open. Alice was being held against the wall with a hand at her throat. And you can probably guess the person, or creature, who was suffocating her to death.
The butler.
His eyes glowed bright red, and he swiveled his head to look at me. "I am terribly sorry," He tilted his head with a smile. Tiny fangs peeked out from under his lips."But Earl Phantomhive does not allow guests in the basement."
"And this is how you treat them?" I glare. Alice turned her head to look at me, and the butler pushed her harder against the wall.
"Run…" Alice choked out, and kicked Sebastian square in the stomach. Sebastian doubled over, and Alice dropped onto the ground, rubbing her neck. I ran over to her side, hugging her gently.
"How could you do this to a guest, especially when it's a girl?!" I shouted at him. Sebastian only straightened out his suit, and dusted off the invisible dust on his pants. When he turned around, I charged at him, and threw my fist at the back of his head. He caught my hand without even turning around, crushing it tightly in his grasp.
"Well now," Sebastian said slyly, "How could you do this to an innocent butler?" I heard cracks as he tightened his grip around my fist, and winced. Sebastian turned around, grabbed my collar with his other hand, and was pulling it up to his face. I glared at him, noticing that his pupils had turned into slits, and his eyes were literally turning into red flashing lights. "Your soul is…"
That was all he was able to say before gunshots were heard, and I fell backwards onto the ground. Gil was standing by my side, with a gun in his hand, and Alice over his shoulder. Sebastian grabbed his arm, which the bullet had penetrated straight through. Blood fell onto his white gloves, and he peeled them off slowly, revealing a mark.
No, I shouldn't say a mark. I should say, a contract. Not exactly like a Chain's, it seemed to have a pentagram. I gaped at him, wide eyed. He isn't a Chain, as Pandora suspected. He is a demon.
A/N: After writing this filler chapter, I have finally come up with a solid story line. For all my readers out there, I am very sorry in disappointing you for taking a while to update. As an apology, I will be posting the next chapter in about a week or so. Please continue to review and love my story, and I will work hard on the next chapter.
