It was a normal day in Burbank, California. And by normal, I mean filled with Warner related chaos and zaniness. The Warner Brothers, and Warner sister, were speeding around the movie lot being chased by Ralph, while Ricky was slowly making his way towards Scratchensniff's office. He walked into the office and looked at Hello Nurse, waiting for her to notice.
"Hello, do you have an...appoint...ment?" she said, before she began to feel a cold air roll into the room. She stared at Ricky, but with a bit of fear. Ricky looked her in the eyes with a cold stare, sending chills up her spine, which could only spell out one thing: Standing before her was a very, very, unhappy toon.
"I need to see the shrink." Ricky said in a low voice. Before Hello Nurse could let the shrink know he was here, Ricky turned to the door and slammed it opened, startling Scratchy and his current patient.
"Ricky? Vhat are you doing here? I'm vith a client." Scratchy said, clearly angry with Ricky's intrusion. Ricky, however, was not bothered by this as he grabbed his patient and threw him out of the office before slamming the door shut and walking back to sit on the couch.
"Yeah. Me." Ricky said, glaring at the Shrink, who seemed to be a little shocked at Ricky's cold attitude. After seeing that Ricky was not joking around, he began to feel that same cold feeling that Hello Nurse felt moments ago.
"Eh...vell," Scratchy began, clearly uneasy about having to deal with an angry toon. "Since you're here, ve may as well talk, ya?" he said while getting out a pen and pad of paper as starting to form on his forehead. "So...vhat zeems to be the problem?" He looked at Ricky, who just stared off into space, that cold stare still plastered on. It felt like an eternity before Ricky took a deep breath to calm down and closed his eyes.
"I've remembered...a little more."
"Iz that so?"
"Yes...and it makes me want to hurt everyone around me."
"Oh my." Scratchy said as he wrote on his notepad. "Vhen did vhat did you remember?"
"Last night...in a dream."
-Flashback to dream-
Ricky was sleeping peacefully after having watched the Warners put an arrogant Radio host in his place. He was dreaming of causing chaos with the Warners again in the movie lot, but as they were running, Ricky realized that he was alone.
"Guys? Hello? Anyone?"
"Well, if it isn't the little schmuck that called my radio show." said a voice. Ricky turned and came face to face with Howie Turn.
"Oh...it's you. Last time I saw you, you were a mumbling mess."
"Yeah it's me you little nobody."
"Hey! Watch it with the insults."
"Oh I'm so scared. Whatcha gonna do about it huh? Here's the answer: NOTHING! HAHAHA!" Howied just laughed at Ricky, who was starting to get angry.
"He's right you know." came another voice behind Ricky. They both looked to see a man in a blue suit.
"I remember you too. Irvan Blanski right?"
"IVAN BLOWSKI! You know. A man who can make a little 'mistake' to ruin countless lives. Including yours!" he shouted, jabbing a finger into Ricky's chest.
"Back off!" Ricky said, shoving the account back a few steps. "Leave me alone."
"Oooh. Mister Torrent here wants to be left alone, does he?"
"That's right. Now why are you two here?" Ricky said, clearly angry at seeing these two jerks again.
"Isn't it obvious?" both Howie and Ivan said in unison, their voices mixed with a third unknown voice. Ricky stared at them both as they looked at him while smiling cruel smiles as their shadows got bigger. They grew until they seemed to merge and slide up the wall of a building while Ivan and Howie vanished. The shadow then had two holes appear in the head where the eyes would be, while a creepy smile appeared as the shadow looked down at Ricky, who stared back in shock.
"W-what the heck?" Ricky said as he took a few steps back from the shadow.
"It's because you have no power Rat." spoke the shadow with a single voice. Ricky froze, his eyes never leaving the shadow as it stared at him.
"That voice...I know that voice." Ricky said as he looked at the ground.
"You should you little nuisance." spoke the shadow, angering Ricky who stared back up at it. "Don't you recognize my voice? I've only used it since I was born. Maybe all those times I've had my boys put you in your place have knocked you memory loose."
Ricky's eyes widen as realization hit him, along with a horrible pain that shot through his head, making him fall to his knees. He clutched his head in agony as the shadow spoke again.
"That's it Rat. You know who I am."
"V...Va...Vance." Ricky managed to croak out through the pain. The Shadow then shrank and slid across the ground until it was in front of Ricky. It then took on the form of a thin teen with red, well groomed hair, fancy clothes, and a smug smile that said 'I am invincible.' Ricky looked up at the teen with disgust as it began to laugh at Ricky, causing Ricky to grind his teeth in anger until he lunged at Vance, who disappeared, along with everything around him, leaving Ricky alone in a dark void as the laughing still continued. Ricky just stood there, breathing heavily as his anger seemed to get worse with each second as the laughing brought back all the memories of Vance. Memories that Ricky would rather not remember. Memories of being kicked and punched and spat on by Vance's 'friends' while he stood back and watched drove him over the edge as he began to lash out at the darkness, hitting nothing but air, as if hoping the laughing would stop. "GRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!"
"RICKY!" came a few shouts of his name as his eyes snapped open at his surroundings. He looked around to see the Warners, fully dressed and looking spooked at him.
"That must've been on heck of a nightmare Ricky." Yakko said as he looked around the room. Ricky looked around as well as his eyes widened. The bedroom had been trashed. Ricky looked at his hands to notice his gloves were torn and shred, clearly evident that HE was the one who had wrecked the room. He sat down with his knees up, his arms resting on them as his face was hid in his arms. Yakko looked back at Ricky. "You okay?"
"...That was a spooky dream..."
-End Flashback-
"I lied about the dream to them." Ricky said, feeling a bit calmer now as Scratchy continued to write in his notepad. "I told them that I was in the seen as an animal in the pound, and was about to be put down. I don't know if they bought it, but they let me go when I said I was fine and that I would see you."
"I zee." said the shrink. "Vell, zhis Vance that you remember is-"
"Someone I hate with great intensity." Ricky finished. The room was quiet as Ricky's scowl slowly turned into a grin as he starting chuckling. "You know, I guess not all the memories are bad."
"Iz zhat so?"
"Yeah. I didn't know it when I first met the guy, but his father apparantely owns a fancy sports drink company, so his family's loaded. He was going around, acting like he owned the place, thinking his money and status would get him respect. I showed him otherwise."
"Vhat do you mean?"
"Well, he saw me talking to...to...her." Ricky said as his voice trailed off before he shook his head to clear his thoughts. "Anyway, he saw her and pushed me out of the way, trying to impress her, hoping she'd be his girlfriend. He then tried to act tough in front of her by picking a fight with me in front of a crowd. Before the fight, he tried slipping me some money to take a dive. He then punched me in the gut, hoping I'd fall. He got the wake up call of his life when he turned around to gloat at how great he was. He didn't notice when I snuck up behind him and pantsed him in front of everyone." Ricky finished before he started laughing.
"Oh dear." Scratchy said with a chuckle.
"Everyone was laughing at him as he tried to pull his pants up. He was so red, he looked like a tomato before he ran off." Ricky said before his laughing stopped and a frown came onto his face. "Then the next day, I realized I should've played along."
"Vhat do you mean?"
"He suddenly got himself new 'friends' who came after me. They came out of nowhere and gave me a message. They said 'Vance says hello.' before they grabbed whatever they could find and starting wailing on me. They didn't stop until I couldn't stand. I remember waking up in a hospital after that."
"Oh my. Zhat's horrible." Scratchy said as he finished writing.
"I hate people like Vance." Ricky said in a low voice, grabbing the arms of the chair tightly. "They think that just because they have money and influence they can make others bend to their will, thinking they're untouchable." Ricky growled as stood up and starting walking around, looking ready to break anything he could get his hands on. "It didn't end there though. Oh no. He sent them again anytime he thought I disrespected him. No one there helped me either when they attacked me in public either. They just stood there and watched. Only one tried, but was held back by more goons. And what's worse is that he won't stand up to me himself. He can't do anything without an army of his goons around to protect him. That little...LITTLE..." was all Ricky could get out before taking the shrinks couch and throwing it through a wall. He began to tear around the room in a rage, causing Scratchy to leave the room in fear. He waited outside the room until the noise inside ceased. He peeked inside to see his office trashed, with an exhausted Ricky standing and panting in anger. He looked up as his expression turned neutral. "I'm sorry. I trashed your office."
"No worries." Scratchy said as he slowly walked back in. "It usually happens when the Warners visit." he said as he started putting his office back to normal. Ricky just stared at the ground.
"I know I wanted to remember...but now I don't know if I want to remember anymore. It just...happened. Me and the Warners have been meeting a lot of jerks...I guess it just...made me remember."
"Vell, just remember. They may be painful, but they are memories, so they already happened."
"Yeah..." Ricky said, looking up and feeling better. "You're right. And who knows. Maybe Vance has left me alone. Maybe he moved or something. Thanks Scratchy. I feel better. Well, I'm gonna join the Warners." he said as he shook Scratchy's hand. "Bye." He said before he sped off.
A/N: Sorry it took so long to write this everyone. I hope you like it.
