The whole bar was silent. You could literally hear a pin drop. Time ticked by, and Jess was starting to get worried. Did she do the right thing? Should she have just left it alone? She was about to flee out of the room when Chibs started to clap. It was a big thing around the club when women asserted themselves, claiming their men. Jessica just claimed Tig, and no one was yelling at her. The croweater stood up and shrieked again, looking around at the cheering bar.
"Aren't you going to do something?" She yelled at Tig, whose grin faltered into a glare.
"Excuse me?" Tig growled at the bitch, standing up from his spot on his stool. The slut shrunk down slightly, but held her ground.
"You heard me! I want her out of here!" She shrieked, holding her broken nose.
Tig clenched his fists at his sides as he walked right up to her. Jessica could tell that Tig wouldn't be able to control his anger, so she moved to get in between the two. She placed her hands gently on his chest and pushed.
"Tig." She said softly. "Let it go." She didn't want anyone getting hurt. "Please."
Tig tore his eyes away from the bitch and looked down at Jess, his expression softening. He nodded and breathed out, relaxing. Jess smiled and wrapped her arms around Tig's waist.
Happy, behind all of them, was still fuming. No one got to talk about his cousin like that. He pushed past Juice and Chibs, marching up to the croweater.
"Leave. Now." He growled in his gravely voice. The slut looked up at him, surprised and shocked. "Don't make me repeat myself!" He yelled. The girl whimpered and ran out of the room.
Jessica looked up at Tig and smiled, proud that he controlled his anger. Tig mirrored her smile and leaned down to kiss her lips softly.
"Get a room!" Chibs yelled out, causing everyone to start laughing, and for Jess to blush a dark red. Tig looked down at her and wiggled his dark eyebrows.
"What do you think?" He asked with a grin. "Wanna move this to my room?" Jess laughed, but gave in, nodding. Happy rolled his eyes as Tig dragged his cousin to the dorms.
"Disgusting…" He paused when he heard Jess giggle loudly, followed by a thud. "…Pigs." He finished, grabbing a beer.
"Don' worry, Hap." Chibs said as he clapped him on the back. "At least she's safe with him."
Chibs made a good point. As long as Jess was with Tig, she wasn't in any real danger. Happy trusted his brother with his life. He was the best Sgt. At Arms he knew. Besides Kozik. Happy looked around the room for the blonde SAA, but he couldn't find him anywhere. Happy shrugged and turned back to his beer, chugging half of it.
Meanwhile, back at the dorms, Tig was grinding himself down against Jessica, both breathing heavily. The second they got into the room, they were all over each other. Tig thought it was incredibly hot that Jessica claimed him like that. Tig was about to reach down and undo his pants when there was a knock at the door.
"Fuck." Tig grumbled and stood up. "Who the fuck is it?" He said loudly as he flung the door open, coming face to dace with the blonde SAA. "What the fuck do you want?" He growled, his erection obvious in his jeans.
"What do you think I want?" Kozik said as he looked Tig over and behind him at Jessica. Tig narrowed his eyes, looking up at him.
"No. No way. Not right now." Tig growled and went to shut the door, but Kozik stopped it with his hand.
"C'mon, Tiggy. Lemme just watch." Kozik grinned down at the curly haired man. Tig seemed to contemplate it for a bit before he shook his head.
"No. She doesn't even know we're good friends. Let alone that." Tig said in a hushed tone, not wanting Jess to hear them talking.
"You gotta tell her some time, Tig. We can't hide it anymore." Kozik grinned down at him. Tig sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose.
"I know. Just not right now. I don't know how she'll react." Tig mumbled, looking up at him. "So, just wait till I tell her." Kozik relented with a nod and a pat to Tig's shoulder. Tig sighed and closed the door, turning back to Jessica.
"Why was Kozik here?" Jessica asked, sitting up as she looked up at Tig.
"He was just telling me something Clay said." Tig shook it off. "Nothing important."
"Oh." Jess shrugged and then grinned at the man. "Where were we?" Tig grinned back and pounced on her with a growl.
Back in the main room, Sofie was getting real comfortable with Jax. They were sitting on the couch, practically snuggling. Maverick was sitting at the bar, watching his sister. When Jax reached down to touch her leg, he got up from his seat at the bar and stalked over to them.
"Hey. Can I talk to you?" Mav said, looking down at Sofie. The girl looked up at him with a confused look.
"Sure." She said and turned to Jax, kissing his cheek before she stood up and walked to the bar with Maverick. Mav leaned against the bar and looked down at her. "What?" She asked.
"Do you know what you're getting into?" He asked her, glancing over at Jax. Sofie looked up at him, still confused.
"What do you mean?" What could be so bad about Jax?
"That's Jax Teller. The infamous biker who sleeps with everyone." Maverick told her quietly. "I just don't want you to get hurt when he decides he's done with you and goes on to sleep with a croweater." Sofie didn't grow up in this life, so she didn't know how it worked around there. Jax was a heartbreaker. Plain and simple.
"He can't be that bad." Sofie looked back at Jax for a second. "He's so nice."
"He may be nice, but he won't think twice about pushing you aside." Maverick was just trying to look out for Sofie.
"I'll be fine, Mav. I can look after myself." Sofie assured him with a smile. Maverick just sighed and nodded. She was a big girl. Not just his little sister.
"Alright. Just be careful." Maverick told her as she walked back over to Jax. He turned back to the bar and got onto one of the stools next to Happy. They stayed silent fir a few minutes before Happy cleared his throat.
"You're a good brother. Reminds me of myself." Happy told him with a gruff voice. "Gotta keep them safe." Happy wasn't trying to be a sap or anything, but he wanted to protect his cousin. Family was the most important thing to Happy, and he would do everything he could to keep them safe. Even if it was a little thing like Jess' boyfriends or lovers.
Happy believed that Tig was the perfect person for Jess, and he also did believe that the man had changed. But it wasn't Tig that Happy was worried about. It was Kozik that he was having second thoughts on. He'd known Kozik for a long time. Almost 8 years. But he'd known Tig for way longer. He hadn't ever seen Kozik with a girlfriend or a woman that wasn't a croweater. Looking around again, he tried to spot Kozik.
"Hey. Koz." He called when he saw the man walking in from the dorms. The blonde looked around and started walking towards him.
"Hey, Hap. What's up?" Kozik smiled and hopped on a stool next to Happy.
"Just wanted to see where you're head was at with my cousin." Happy said as he motioned for a beer, his other one stolen by the blond SAA.
"Well, I kinda figured she was Tig's." Kozik looked at Happy. "Figured I'd stop trying." He shrugged and turned back to his beer. Kozik had to play it off, not wanting Happy to know that he was planning on fucking the man's cousin. That wouldn't go well if Happy found out.
"Good. I don't think that Tig would like you tryin' to push up on her." Kozik had to take a gulp of his beer to hide the laugh. If only Happy knew what went on between them. Happy cleared his throat and stood up. "Going for a ride. Call me when we're at the table." He grunted and walked out of the door.
An hour later, the boys were sat at the table, discussing their most recent problems. Mayans were planning on starting a war with the Sons and the Niners. Things were really not going well for them.
"So, what do we do?" Juice asked after Clay finished talking. He looked around the table full of his Redwood, Tacoma, and Arizona brothers.
"We talk to Laroy. See what he's doing." Jax spoke up. He was becoming bolder as the Vice Prez, making decisions for the club. Clay seemed to nod in approval.
"We also talk to Darby. Maybe he'll help us with these spics." Clay added in. Happy clenched his jaw tightly. He loved the Prez, but sometimes he didn't appreciate the language he used. Everyone nodded in agreement and Clay raised his gavel, slamming it down against the table.
Tig stood up and walked out of the room and out to the bar where Jess was waiting for him with a beer. He smiled slightly and took it with a kiss. He was pretty worried about the Mayan war. After they shot up the clubhouse, Tig had been worried that Jessica could get hurt.
"I don't want you going anywhere without me or Happy." Tig trusted Jess enough to tell her what was going on. She always knew everything. She grew up in the life, and she knew how it worked. Jessica knew she shouldn't ask any questions.
"How bad is it?" That was the only question she asked. She just wanted to know to make sure Sofie was safe. Sofie didn't know the life at all, so she had to keep her safe.
"Mayan war." Tig told her, and that was all he had to say for her to know how bad it was. Jessica nodded and pecked his cheek before she pushed off of the bar.
"I'll talk to Sofie." Jess said as she walked over to Sofie and Maverick. Jessica hoped that Mav already told her to be careful, and that he didn't tell her about the war. She knew her roommate well. She would freak out.
"Hey, Jess." Sofie greeted with a smile when Jessica walked up to them. Jessica gave Maverick a look of question and he shook his head. Good. He didn't tell her anything.
"Hi Sof." Jessica smiled back and sat down on the couch next to her. "I gotta talk to you about some things." Jess started, looking at Maverick briefly. "Some things are going to happen, and I don't want you to go anywhere without Mav or Happy, okay?" Jess didn't leave any room to arguments, though Sofie always listened.
"Okay." Sofie nodded her head. "What's happening?" She asked, looking at the two of them. She needed to learn the 'no questions' rule.
"We can't tell you." Mav said softly. "It's club business."
"Oh." Sofie said before she nodded. "Okay." She knew well enough that it couldn't be something good.
"Just be careful." Jess said and pulled her in for a hug.
"I will." Sofie smiled and kissed her cheek. "I'm gonna go take a shower." Sofie said and stood up, hugging Mav before she went back to the dorms. Jess sighed and ran a hand over her face. Maverick smiled and patted her knee.
"I can see you've been through this before." He said with a smirk. Jessica let out a laugh and nodded.
"Oh yeah. But not in the last 8 years." She sighed again.
Jessica had been through this way too many times. It was a norm for her when she was younger. Before she went to college, she lived and breathed the club. Now, though, she had to get back into the swing of things. But it was just like riding a bike. It was never forgotten. Just like her lover for Tig. He broke her heard, but she still loved him.
Jessica shook her head and looked around for the man who invaded her thoughts. Tig always seemed to disappear when she needed him. Jessica was planning on going down to St. Thomas to see if she could get a job there. St. Thomas was the only hospital in the small town of Charming. Jessica wasn't planning on coming to Charming, though, so she hadn't found out if there were any spots open for her. She knew for a fact that there was a spot up in Tacoma, but she wasn't going back there as long as Tig was in Charming. And now that Happy was transferring to Redwood, she had no reason to go back.
Jessica stood and patted Mav's shoulder gently before she went off to look for her curly haired biker. She found him in the garage, under his bike.
"Hey." She kicked his foot gently, wanting his attention. He grunted as he rolled out from under the bike. Jessica knew he had a heavy weight on his shoulders, being the Sgt. At Arms of the club, but she also knew that he was strong. One of the strongest men she'd ever known.
"What's up?" He asked as he wiped his hands on an oil rag, squinting up at her.
"I wanna go to St. Thomas. See if they have a spot open for me." Jessica said, looking down at him. "But I need escort." She smiled, kicking his shoe again lightly.
"Alright. Lemme just finish this up and I'll take you." Tig said as he rolled back under the bike. Jessica rolled her eyes and turned around, going to sit on one of the picnic benches. She waited ten minutes, and Tig still wasn't done with the bike, so she laid down on the picnic table, closing her eyes.
She must have drifted off to sleep, because the next things she knew, there was a deep, gravely voice saying something to her, and it definitely wasn't Happy's. Jessica opened her eyes and squinted up at the man standing right above her.
"Hey baby." The man grinned, voice deep and husky. Jessica's confusion turned into mischief as she looked up at him.
"What are you doing here, sexy?" Jessica asked, biting her lip with a grin. Her eyes flickered briefly to the grey haired man standing off to the side.
"I've come to see your sweet ass." The man grinned back at her, hand reaching out to rub her thigh.
"Well, you ain't seein' my ass any time soon." Jessica grinned and sat up, pulling the man in for a hug.
"Hey, baby girl." He grinned, kissing her sheek.
"Hi, Armando. Long time no see." Jessica pulled back and looked over at the other biker. "Gonna give me some love, Huff?" The grey haired man smiled and walked over to them, leaning down to hug Jessica.
"Hey, Jess." Huff smiled, pulling back to kiss her cheek. "How's Tacoma's princess doing?" Jessica rolled her eyes at the question and gently nudged him.
"I'm doing just fine." She smiled, looking between them. "What about you guys? Why are you here?"
"Why aren't we here?" Armando smiled. "My boys are here. And I came to see my favorite little girl." Jessica rolled her eyes again, more dramatically this time.
"I'm not so little anymore, Army." Jessica smiled, reaching up to run a hand over his bald head. "Losing you hair already?" She laughed.
"I'm losin' my hair." Armando grinned, running a hand over his head. "I like to shave it now. Started about 5 years ago."
"Man, I really missed a lot." Jessica sighed, slouching down. "Benny here?" She asked as she looked around the lot.
"Nope. He's comin' down tomorrow. Got held up at the station. Cops have been all over him for some reason." Armando spotted some of the Redwood guys and he started to walk over to them. "See you later, baby girl." He called over his shoulder. Jessica waved and turned back to look at Huff. He sat down next to her, leaning his shoulder against hers.
"How you holdin' up?" He asked softly. Huff knew about everything that happened. Surprisingly, he was good friends with her dad. Jessica's dad lived in Arizona for a few years before she was born.
"I'm okay." She sighed and leaned her head down on his shoulder. "Could be better." She mumbled, closing her eyes. When she was little, Huff was like an uncle to her when he used to come to Tacoma.
"With Tig again?" He asked as he saw the curly haired biker walk towards them from the garage. Jessica opened her eyes and smiled when she saw him. Tig walked up and leaned down to plant a wet kiss on her lips. "I'll take that as a yes." Huff laughed, standing up. "I'll leave you love birds alone."
"See you later, Huff." Jessica smiled, wrapping her arms around Tig's shoulders when he say in between her legs. Huff saluted them and sauntered off.
"Done with the bike?" She mumbled against his hair, running her hands along his solid chest.
"Yeah. You ready to go?" Tig stood up and held his hands out for her to take. Jessica smiled and leaned up to kiss his cheek lightly.
"Let's go." Jessica pulled Tig over to his bike. "Since mine isn't fixed yet…" She shot him a playful glare. "We'll take yours." She finished, waiting for him to get on.
"I promise I'll fix it before the week is over." Tig told her as he climbed on.
"It's Friday! You have two days to fix it." She laughed, steadying herself on his shoulders. "And I know it takes at least a week to order and fix the throttle, plus the mirror." Tig rolled his eyes and started up his Harley, pulling out of the lot.
"Such a wise ass." Tig chuckled, pulling her arms tighter around his wait.
"Shut up and drive." Jessica laughed softly, singing the Rihanna song, slowing getting on Tig's nerves. By the time they made it to the small hospital, Jessica was yelling the song in his ear.
"Get off of my bike!" He yelled, shutting it off. "I swear if you don't stop, I am going to kill you." That last part drew the attention of some of the people in the parking lot. Jessica just laughed and skipped off and inside the building. Tig grumbled to himself and followed her inside.
Jessica went to the head director of the nurses department and talked with her. She told Tig that he could go back to the club, and she would call when she was done, but he refused. He wanted to be safe and stay with her. By the time Jess was done talking to everyone she needed, including some old friend, it had been about 3 hours. Tug was slouched in a chair, nearly falling asleep as he sat there.
"Tiggy!" She yelled cheerily and she walked up to him, hopping in his lap. "Wake up!" Tig jumped and almost dropped her on the ground.
"Scared the shit outta me." He rubbed at his eyes, yawning loudly. "How did it go?" He asked, pulling her more on his lap.
"It went great. They said they would call in the next few days." Jessica smiled and pecked his cheek. "Let's go, sleepy head. I'm starving."
Jessica stood up and pulled Tig with her. She was filled with energy. It was mostly the excitement of getting back into the swing of things in Charming. She thought that it would be harder, from what she went through. But that was life. She couldn't stop what happened.
Jessica climbed onto Tig's bike when he steadied it for her. She rested her cheek on his back, cool leather calming her. She closed her eyes, soaking in the calmness of everything, until Tig's bike jerked to a stop.
"Shit." Tig cured and Jessica's head popped up.
"Wha-…" She snapped her mouth closed and her eyes widened, looking around them. The Mayans had them surrounded, guns pointed at them. "What do we do?" She whispered, arms tightening around Tig's waist. Tig looked around and bit his lip, contemplating something. The Mayans were starting to get off of their bikes and Tig looked back at Jess.
"Don't let go." Was all he said before he gunned it, tires squealing as he sped off, barely fitting between two of the Mayan bikes. Jessica held on as tight as she could, squeezing her eyes shut. She could hear bikes following them, chasing as they flew down the street. Jessica didn't dare open her eyes. Tig was speeding, weaving through cars barely crashing.
"Take you phone out and text Clay!" Tig yelled over his shoulder. "Tell him the Mayans are chasing us. He needs to get to the highway, and bring more than 5 boys."
Jess nodded and let go of his waist to pull her phone out, quickly texting Clay with shaky fingers. She yelled when Tig took a hard turn and she clung to Tig, trying not to fall off. They made it to the highway, and now they just had to wait for the boys to come and get them. Tig looked behind him for a second, and Jessica screamed, seeing a car coming right at them.
"Tig!" She screamed before everything went black.
Author's note: So, I don't know if you all caught it, but I hinted at a little bit of Tig/Kozik. Tell me if it's alright to head in that direction, because if you don't like the pairing of Tig and Kozik, then I won't head that way. Thanks, guys! Review please.
