A Jurassic trip to Mobius.
Chapter 8: A plan coming together.
It was a bright shining day on the planet Mobius as Mobians and humans alike casually walked around and got ready for their day, almost nothing in the kind of state could ever go wrong.
Like I said, almost nothing could go wrong.
Suddenly, a massive explosion shook the land and everyone began to run and scream, out of this was Dr. Eggman came flying above in his egg-mobile and watched the destruction of his egg-pawns destroying everything in their path.
"Oh ho, ho, ho! I just love good old fashioned destruction in the morning!" he said with glee as a group of the egg-pawns toppled over a car and knocked over an ice cream cart, suddenly, a blue blur knocked over and destroyed a group of the egg-pawns "grr… It's Sonic!"
"Hey Eggman! Where you've been?" Sonic asked as he skidded over to the doctor's egg-mobile and crossed his arms.
"Looking for you!" Eggman said and pointed at the blue hedgehog "attack my minions!" a swarm of egg pawns started to run towards him but Sonic jumped up in the air and did a homing attack, destroying a number of the robots.
"Sonic! Look out!" Sonic looked behind him to see a charging egg-whacker running at him with its massive mallet hand and raised it above Sonic's body until Knuckles came flying at it and hit it deep in the chest, destroying it, Tails came flying down at the two and handed them a few power rings.
"Thanks little buddy" Sonic said.
"Let's bust some Eggman butt!" Knuckles said as he sped towards Eggman, Sonic did the same as well and both did a double spin dash/ homing attack at the Egg-Mobile, Eggman went flying out of the craft and landed on the ground. With their ring energy quickly draining, Sonic and Knuckles quickly did the same attack on a squadron of the egg-pawns and any remaining egg-pawns, Eggman quickly got back up on his feet and began to run for safety while Sonic and Knuckles ring energy's finally drained out and the two charged at the last two remaining robots before hitting them in their chests and destroying them, everyone in the city cheered for the victory as the two Mobians turned around and bowed.
"Sonic, I just got a call back from Amy, we need to go see her right now!" Tails said as he ran over to Sonic.
"What'd she say?" Sonic asked.
"She said np questions, this is urgent!" Tails said.
"Alright, let's go!" Sonic said as he started up his feet and ran off, Tails and Knuckles began to follow him. Being the fastest thing alive, Sonic sped through the green hill zone along the way and through the Emerald hill zone also before finally coming to a halt at a small house in the woods, Sonic quickly burst through the door and looked around "Amy, Tails told me to come here, what's wrong?" he asked, worriedly.
"I'm in the kitchen" Amy called out, Sonic quickly dashed in there to see Amy and Atlanta baking cupcakes.
"What's the emergency?" Sonic asked.
"There's no emergency, I just need you to do me a little favor" Amy said, Sonic crossed his arms and sighed.
"Really? I thought something happened to you" Sonic said.
"Something did Sonic, I needed your help" Amy said as she grabbed a box from a table and handed it to him "I need you to deliver that to Sticks, it's the cupcakes she wanted to try".
"Fine, but this is the last time I'm your cupcake carrier" Sonic said before rushing out the door.
"Sonic is one cool guy" Atlanta said as she grabbed a batch of cupcakes out of the oven and placed them on the counter.
"He is, that's why he's my boyfriend" Amy said.
"Not your boyfriend" Sonic said as he poked his head in the doorway and rushed off to deliver Stick's cupcakes, suddenly, the window in the kitchen burst open and Knuckles and Tails came flying into the kitchen.
"We're here!" Tails said.
"Where's the emergency?" Knuckles asked as he looked around and ran over to the oven and opened it, as if by magic, a large fire engulfed his face and Knuckles closed the oven back up and turned to the others to reveal his face was completely burnt and a small flame on one of his dreadlock's, he licked his fingers and pressed down on the small flame before passing out on the ground. The three looked at each other while Knuckles dragged himself out of the house.
"Well that was anticlimactic" Tails said.
Meanwhile…
Jess sat in the living room of the ARK as she quietly read a book, across from her was Shadow, who had his arms crossed and leaned against the wall with his usual grumpy look, he glanced over at Jess for a brief moment before grunting and turning his head back to where it was focused.
"So Shads-" Jess started.
"Don't call me that" Shadow said.
"Whatever, so are you going to look happy?" Jess asked with a smirk as she looked up at him but she was greeted by angry red eyes, Jess gave a small shriek of terror and looked back at her book.
"Play nice you two" Maria said as she passed by them with a laundry basket in her arms.
"I don't play nice" Shadow said before leaving the room, Maria sighed as the dark hedgehog passed him and went to another room.
"He'll never change, even when I'm around" Maria said as she walked the opposite direction, Jess continued to read her book for a few more minutes before becoming bored, she closed the book up and got up from the couch and walked around to find anything interesting. Nothing showed anything that sparked her interest, just extra bedrooms, the kitchen, labs and anything else she considered to be boring, something scurried across the hallway behind her and she stopped in her tracks.
"Shadow? Maria? Dad? Is anyone there?" she asked as she turned around to see nothing but a dark hallway, she shrugged and turned back around to see a Velociraptor screeching at her, she screamed and fell to the ground as she covered her ears, the Raptor bent down at her and sniffed her air while she closed her eyes.
"Jess? Jess!" Billy said as he shook her shoulder, Jess looked up to see him picking her up by her arm, Jess released herself from her grip and ran to her room, shutting and locking the door in the process, Jess flung herself to her bed and hid under her blanket, crying in the process. There was a knock at her door but she ignored it and stayed in her place, the knob was somehow broken by a powerful force and the door slowly creaked to reveal itself as Metal Sonic.
"Organic Jess?" Metal asked as he threw off the blanket and Jess screamed, Metal placed his hand over her mouth "silence, your organic friend told me you went insane and told me to check on you" Jess nodded and removed his hand from her mouth before sighing.
"Sorry, I just… Saw something that scared me" Jess said, remembering the imaginary Velociraptor.
"I see, I shall go and tell your friend you are okay" Metal Sonic said as he turned around and left the room, she sat on her bed for several minutes before getting up and left the room, she looked around the hallway and walked to back to the living room to see that it was empty, she then saw the planet of Mobius and smiled.
"Maybe I just need some fresh air" she told herself before walking to the capsules.
Back on Mobius…
"Thanks Sonic!" Sticks said as Sonic waved to her and nodded before leaving the jungle and went through the Marble Zone to get home, he suddenly noticed something following him and turned around to see it was Silver.
"Hey Silver! What's up buddy?" Sonic asked as Silver stopped in front of him.
"No time for talk! We've got an emergency!" Silver said frantically.
"Huh? What do you mean?" Sonic asked.
"I can't explain! It's very urgent!" Silver said as he grabbed Sonic by the arm and flew up into the air and across the zones, Sonic looked below at the many people and creatures and buildings alike as the two flew across the zones.
"So what's wrong? And it better not be cupcakes" Sonic said.
"Cupcakes? What? No, it's another one of Eggman's attacks!" Silver said as the two went straight into a forest and flew through the trees.
"I should've know, when is egg-head ever going to learn?" Sonic said as the two landed on the ground to see a robotic version of a Tyrannosaurus Rex rampaging through a village of Mobians, Sonic scratched his ear and grew wide eyed "well, this is new".
"Isn't it?" the two looked up to see the Egg-Mobile floating down to the two, Eggman had a look of pride on his face as he faced his enemies "I call it the Egg-asaurus Rex!"
"Dude, seriously?" Sonic asked.
"Yes I am serious! Now prepare to meet your doom!" Eggman said as he pressed down on his wristwatch and the robotic dinosaur went bolting straight for the two, Sonic and Silver both jumped in the air and did a spin-dash at the side of the dinosaur but no damage was done.
"Silver! Trying throwing something at it with your powers!" Sonic said as he began to do multiple spin dashes at the robot.
"I'm on it!" Silver said as he directed his hands towards a fallen tree and used his telekinetic powers to lift it up and hurdled it towards the robot, the tree slammed right into the robot, destroying it while Sonic jumped out of the way, merely being hit in the leg and falling on the ground. A wave of sparks and metal went flying everywhere in the village "I got it!" Silver said with excitement.
"Oh right dude!" Sonic said, Eggman growled in frustration and drove his egg-mobile away from the scene, looking back, the doctor made sure Sonic wasn't following him at all before turning to the screen in his egg-mobile and pressed down on an interactive button to reveal a series of blueprints, each one designed to follow those of a Dinosaur's structure.
"Hmm, let's see, how's about this one?" he said as he pressed down on one shaped like a pack of Velociraptors.
