The final battle
Halliwell Manor
Attic
"No, we need to stop her!" Piper said vehemently. The Halliwell sisters were having a hard discussion about what happened some minutes ago. Piper insisted on going down to the Underworld.
Prue shook her head. "Piper, I know you're scared, but..."
"We can't leave him like this!" she said firmly. "We need to stop Phoebe... There's no other way."
"She's our sister... I'm sorry, Piper, but I can't fight her. I want to save her," Paige said sobbing.
"I want to save Phoebe too..." Piper turned to her. "But we can't ignore what happened here."
Prue lowered her head. She knew Piper was right. They were just ignoring the problem. "To vanquish her, we'll need the Power of Three..."
As Paige's eyes grew wide, Piper turned to her. "We don't need to vanquish Phoebe... We just need to vanquish the Source."
Paige shook her head. "It's the same..."
"No, it's not... She's possessed, some way the Source's essence managed to take residence inside her body. We need to figure out how to vanquish him, without kill her..." Piper said, letting out a small sigh. She loved her sister and obviously wanted to save her life. Phoebe was a good person, her heart was full of goodness and love. It wasn't her fault what happened to her.
Suddenly, Paige let out a smile. "I think I know what to do," she said and, as both her sisters turned to face her, added: "We need to write a spell to separate them..."
Prue raised an eyebrow. "A spell?"
"Yeah... A spell to make the Source's essence leave out her body. Remember, she's not the Source, she's possessed," Paige said.
"It's a good idea," Piper said. "We need to try something..."
Paige nodded. "I'll write the spell..."
The Underworld
Phoebe looked at Cole, who remained unconscious on the ground. "Lock him in the magical cage," she ordered to the demon beside her.
"As your wish, my queen," he said, taking Cole with him.
"I told you," the Seer said. "Your sisters found a way to break the spell..."
"Piper..." Phoebe muttered under her breath. "I won't allow her to have him back."
"And what will you do now?" the Seer asked.
Phoebe closed her eyes. "He needs to die," she said in a whisper.
The Seer let out a large smile. She knew that the Source never managed to suppress Phoebe completely. And she knew why. Phoebe's love for Cole still existed within her, the Source couldn't overcome it.
However, Cole's death would change everything. Kill him with her own hands would certainly destroy Phoebe's soul. Evil can't love, she remembered the golden rule.
"You're right," she said. "Piper will never steal him from you again..."
Phoebe nodded. "Can you..." she closed her eyes. "Can you do this for me?"
"No," the Seer said vehemently. "You need to do it with her own hands..."
Phoebe stepped back. Kill him with her own hands? She couldn't do that... She still wanted him… No… She still loved him. "I'm telling you to do it," she said, trying to hide the emotion in her voice.
"You know me," the Seer said, with a nasty smile on her face. "I have no problem with killing people, but…"
"But?" Phoebe raised an eyebrow.
"It's a job for you… And you know that," she explained. "Unless… It's too much for you emotionally…"
Phoebe looked at her angrily. "What are you insinuating?"
"Nothing… I'm just saying that you have feelings for him…" the Seer said, studying her face. "I can't deny that he's very interesting…"
"My feelings for him are not a problem, I can guarantee you," Phoebe said firmly.
"Good, then kill him…" the Seer raised her head. "Show to the entire Underworld who you are, the most powerful magical being on this shadow land."
Phoebe nodded. "You're right. It needs to be me… He needs to die in my hands…"
She sighed and walked to the room where Cole was. He was locked into a cage sleeping.
"Wake up!" Phoebe ordered, waving her hand.
Cole opened his eyes and blinked. His head was hurting like hell and his vision was blurry. "Phoebe," he muttered.
"Stand up," she ordered.
Cole rubbed his temples and looked around him, trying to understand the whole situation. "What happened?" he asked in confusion.
"You betrayed me again," she said, clenching her fists.
"Phoebe, listen to me," he said softly.
"No!" she screamed, forming an athame in her hands. "You're a liar... I need to kill you!"
"I won't let you to do this," Piper said, as she orbed in with Paige and Prue.
Phoebe turned to face them, her eyes widening in surprise. "How did you get in here?" she asked.
Piper smiled. "Magic... and love... My heart will always find him... Phoebe, we'll save you."
"Don't be such an idiot! I told you, I don't want to be saved! I rule the Underworld, I am the Source of All Evil!"
Piper shook her head. "No, you're not," she said, then turned to Paige. "C'mon, let's do it."
As Paige nodded, they started to chant the spell:
In this night, in this hour,
We call upon the Ancient Power,
The Source and the witch can't live as one
The same body can't belong to both,
The evil in her body may not stay
We call the magical power to separate them
And let the witch free
So mote it be.
As they finished to chanted it, Phoebe screamed in pain and fell on her back. A grey smoke started coming out of her body. "It worked," Prue pointed to her. "Hurry up!"
Paige nodded and opened a small box.
In this night, in this hour,
I call upon the Ancient Power,
Seal the Source's Powers in this box,
And locked it with magical locks.
Paige sighed in relief, as she saw the smoke floated into the box.
"That's it!" Prue said, smiling.
Piper turned to face Phoebe, who was sitting on the floor.
"Piper... I..." Phoebe started to say, her eyes full of tears.
"It's everything okay, sweetie... Welcome back," Piper said softly.
A/N: I'm really sorry for the delay.
