REVAMPED! (But keeping that author's note below because it's cute how fourteen-year-old me thought there were only going to be seven stories in the series when there are now nine)
[I'll be honest, I planned this big series consisting of five stories and this is the first one in that series. The next four will be other ones involving The Avengers kids in this manner. Then there's my big Project: New Generation reboot.
Well then there's my two spinoffs...so I guess there are seven stories? Idk, I'm confused right now.]
Mark II: Planning the Proposal
Tony and Pepper have a relationship unlike any other. Even though they started out as that clichéd boss and employee relationship where he didn't know her at first, Pepper made her name known when she was an accountant in Stark Industries. When she noticed a mistake in one of the calculations that could threaten the company, she marched her way right in her boss' office, threatening the bodyguard with pepper spray. From that moment forward, she became his assistant going by the name Pepper, CEO, and eventually. Even though their way of saying 'I love you' was 'Tony, no' followed by, 'Pepper, yes', he focused on making her happy.
It wasn't until that missed phone call during New York that Tony realized that he had to put a ring on her finger.
Although the only problem standing in his way was being able to come up with a way to snag her so well that she would never let go.

Tony finishes his drink in one gulp before putting his empty glass on his lab table and rubbing his forehead. He sits alone in the newly-repaired Stark Towers since Pepper was off doing business and the other Avengers were busy living their own lives.
"Jarvis," Tony says, standing up as he calls on his AI. "How am I going to do this? Pepper comes back tomorrow and I already have the ring. I think that I might just end up spilling out a proposal instead of getting down on one knee."
Jarvis: Sir, I have pulled up some web searches that might give you an idea.
Before Tony's eyes appear several holograms of different proposal ideas. He swipes through them, seeing blurs of rings photos, happy couples, extravagant stunts, kissing, and just a bunch of fairytale-like happily ever afters. As cute and romantic as Tony finds these, they scream Pinterest more than Pepper. He feels inspired by some, weirded out by others, and eventually closes them all, sighing in frustration.
Jarvis: Might I suggest a more old-fashioned way?
Tony looks over his shoulder as Jarvis shows him a holographic photo of a hallmark couple where the man is just on his knee proposing to his girl. Tony narrows his eyes as he crumples it up and tosses it in the holographic trash can.
"If I wanted an old-fashioned idea, I would've asked Steve," Tony says, "or maybe not since Romanoff is having issues finding him a girlfriend. If worse comes to worst, I'll do that approach where I fake my death. How does that sound?"
Instead of responding to that obviously stupid idea, Jarvis pulls up a web search with links on how to handle breakups and business affairs after partners split up. Tony narrows his eyes as he trashes those ones too. He didn't need that attitude right now, no matter how accurate it was.
For a self-declared genius, this was the hardest plan for him to make. He could build a suit of armour in a cave, create a new element on the periodic table, fight aliens and a psychotic god, send a missile into space - and proposing to his girlfriend tops the list.
"Well..." Tony mutters, not really sure where he was going with that.
Jarvis: Sir, might I remind you that Miss. Potts' flight arrives at 8:45 AM tomorrow.
Tony nods. "Noted."
Then, an idea suddenly appears in his mind, feeling as if a cartoon lightbulb appeared above his head. Instantly, it was like his feet reacted fasted that his mind. He runs straight for the door, quickly hopping on his feet alternately as he puts on his shoes. Then, he hops into his car without opening the door, sliding on his shades as he starts the engine. He knows how he's going to propose to Pepper now. He has the best idea. She will definitely say yes with this idea. Those ideas online will wish they were this cool.
Jarvis: Sir, where are you going?
"Buying some supplies," Tony responds. "I'll be back in an hour or two. Call up the other Avengers and tell them to be at the airport early tomorrow."
Jarvis: Noted.
"Noted indeed," Tony says as he slams on the gas and drives out.
