Felicity
The knife glimmered in the sun shining in from the window. I stared down at the knife before looking back up at Danny's face. I can't believe this guy used to be one of my best friends, that I could confide in. Someone I used to trust with my life. I knew he had a crush on me but I didn't think that me dancing with him would make him do something so drastic "C'mon Danny don't do this… We used to be best friends, please don't do anything stupid" I said to him.

"That's it… Danny, the stupid friend!" He shouted at me and pointed the knife at me.

"That's not what I meant" I replied "If you loved me as much as you say you do, you wouldn't want to hurt me. Showing up here with a knife is not showing you love me. That could kill me, you don't kill people you love" I told him to try and calm him down a little, play on his emotions.

"Don't do that! Don't pretend to know what I feel. You have no idea what is going through my head right now" He said "I used to love you… so much but after you cried wolf I realised what sort of woman you really were. A tease. You get off on treating men like that and then when they take the next step you cry rape!" He shouted at me.

He took a step closer to me with the knife pointing out in front of him, I took a couple steps back from him and the knife "Please Danny… please do not hurt me" I pleaded with him.

I wanted to act strong in front of him so that he couldn't see I was breaking. I tried to hold my tears in so he wouldn't see my crumble, I just wanted all of this to be over and done with. I wanted to move on with my life and forget about Danny and what he's done to me. Why do I need to keep reliving this over and over again? What did I do to deserve all of this? "Danny my friends are out looking for you, if they trace you here then they will kill you. No doubt about it. They gave you a chance by putting you away, a chance to stay away and now you've come back… my friends don't give second chances" I explained to him.

"Do you think I really give a damn about Oliver Queen and his green arrows?" He questioned. How the hell did he know Oliver was the Arrow? Slade must have told him… it's the only solution I can think of "If they kill me then they kill me, life's a bitch but I promise you something… they won't kill me before I kill you" He told me and he threw himself at me with the knife.

"Stop!" I screamed as he landed on me.

Oliver
When I left Felicity's this morning I told her I was going to go hunting, she knew that I was going to go looking for Danny. I honestly thought that I would have found him by now or even a trace of him but there is nothing. It's as if he has disappeared off the face of the Earth. I even tried tracing him in other states and countries but nothing… He isn't anywhere and I really did not want to go back to Felicity and tell her I failed once again at keeping her safe.

Diggle and Roy have been keeping an eye out as well and they have also been asking around old friends and people that need favours, I think Diggle even asked Waller to keep an eye out for Danny. It scares me to know he is out there without a trace, for all I know he could be heading to Felicity's place right now and I wouldn't even know it. I do not like this feeling at all, I just want to know where he is so I can kill him and keep Felicity safe once again.

I looked on the screens of the computer where Felicity normally sits and was about to do a little hunting but the Arrow phone called, meaning it was Lance. I did debate ignoring it but I knew it wouldn't end well if I did "Captain Lance" I said as I answered the phone.

"I thought you would want to know… we had a call to a disturbance at Felicity's place. A couple of my officers got there and… I'm sorry to be the one to tell you this but she's been badly hurt" He told me.

"What?" I asked slightly angry "What happened?" I questioned.

"It looks like she's been attacked with a knife" He replied.

"Looks like? She either was or she wasn't" I stated.

"Ok she was" He answered.

"Thank you for letting me know" I said and hung up the phone.

I needed to go and see her, I needed to see her for my own eyes. Was she going to be ok? How badly was she hurt? Who was it that attacked her? Was it Danny? Was it someone else? I grabbed my phone and sent a text to Diggle and Roy to let them know before getting changed out of my Arrow suit to go and visit Felicity.

When I got to the hospital Roy and Diggle were already talking to the doctor that was dealing with Felicity. I rushed over to them and heard the last part of the doctor's sentence "She is very lucky to be alive right now, it looks like she put up a heck of a fight" He said before excusing himself and leaving.

"You been in yet?" I asked Diggle and Roy.

"Not yet, the cops have just left and we were speaking to the doctor" Diggle replied.

"Plus we thought you would want to go in first" Roy added.

"Ok… thanks" I said.

I walked into Felicity's room and saw her laying on the bed looking… more pale then normal. She didn't look like Felicity, more like a wax figure of herself. Her arms were resting outside the sheets and I could see the defensive marks on her arms, the doctor was right she did put up one heck of a fight. I could tell just from looking at her arms it was a very vicious attack, it didn't take a lot for me to figure out who did the attack.

It made me angry to know that I wasn't there for her but I couldn't leave her… not at right now, she needed me to be here with her. I sat down in the chair next to her bed and held her hand, it was cold. Felicity was normally really warm and inviting, this Felicity that was laying in the bed was cold and very uninviting.

"Felicity I… I am so sorry that you are in here. I promised you that I would protect you and you would never get hurt again and yet here you are. I am proud of you because I heard what the doctor said, you put up on heck of a fight and I can see that you did. You did me and everyone proud today" I told her and squeezed her hand "What I need from you now though… is you to wake up and tell me your ok" I added.

The door knocked and Diggle's head popped round the door "Hey, Lance is here. He wants to talk to you" He said.

I didn't want to leave Felicity but I knew I wouldn't be able to get rid of him any other way. I took one more look at Felicity before getting up from the chair and left the room to speak to Lance "Mr Queen. How did you get here so fast? She's only been here not even an hour long" He told me.

"Why does it matter?" I asked.

"The only person I called was our little green friend" He stated.

"Our little green friend?" I questioned "I'm here to see a friend and that's the end of it. Stop looking for a conspiracy that is not there" I told him.

"Well it's a god job I didn't come all this way to talk to you. I have someone here from the department that needs to take pictures of Felicity's wounds" He said.

"Come back when she's awake they will still be there" I replied.

"We want them done now" He said.

"Ok, why doesn't everybody try and calm down" Diggle said and stepped slightly between the two of us and he placed a hand on my chest to push me away slightly from Lance.

All of a sudden there was a lot of noise coming from Felicity's room and not good noises. There was a lot of beeping and then lots of nurses and doctors ran in there, I knew what that noise meant… Felicity's heart had stopped. I ran over to the door and looked through the door to see nurses and doctors standing around her bed, I couldn't see her but there was still a lot of beeping.

I tried to burst through the door but a felt arms around me pulling me away from the door "Let me go!" I called out but then Diggle came and stood in front of me "Diggle I need to go in there, I can help her" I told him.

"No you can't. Let the professionals deal with this" He said.
