[I AM ON AN UPDATING SPREE].

Mark XV: Throwing The Bouquet

"And now, welcome your newlyweds: Mr. and Mrs. Tony Stark!"

Pepper and Tony walk in and see their friends applauding and cheering. Tony kisses Pepper again and the partying begins. After a series of endless dancing to start the night, dinner was ready. And as everyone ate, Rhodey stands up. He gets everyone's attention to begin his best man speech.

"I've known Tony for a long time." He swivels the wine glass in his hands. "We've become so close that if one of us ever become drunk at the bar, we don't even ask to crash at each other's houses anymore. And then, the lovely Pepper enters the picture of our friendship. Did I ever wonder if she'll take my best friend away from me? Not even once. She's the girl that respects a man's friendship, especially when her man is drunk.

"At first, I assumed that she would be running right out the door as every other girl did. But when I saw all that she could handle, I knew this one was here to stay. She was the only one who was able to put up with Tony and every single one of his idiotic actions. And that's saying a lot. Then their relationship started blooming. Once Tony revealed that he wanted to make his relationship with Pepper an infinity, I'm positive that we were all thinking that it was about time."

That receives a chuckle from the parties and the couple.

"You know," Rhodey continues, "I made a promise with myself to protect Tony and Pepper for as long as I live. But seeing as how much these two love each other, and the extra love in the room, I can tell that we're all in good hands. Bless their marriage."

As everyone applauds and James takes a seat, Pepper stands up and has her drink in her hands. She clinks her glass with a spoon just to get everyone else's attention again. They're surprised. Even Tony is.

"Thanks to everyone for being here and being a part of our wedding," Pepper puts a hand on Tony's shoulder. "I know that, usually, the bride doesn't do much except say the vows and eat the cake, but this bride has an announcement to make. Actually, it's been a secret for a while now. Even from me. I just found out moments ago and I couldn't keep it any longer."

Clint leans into Tony. "What's this about?"

"Must be a real secret because I don't even know what it is," Tony responds, keeping his hands on his wife.

Pepper looks down at Tony with the biggest smile on her face. "I'm pregnant."

Without a reaction, Tony stands up and kisses Pepper yet again. Their friends clap and cheer, even whistle for the couple. When he was done kissing her, Tony took Pepper's champagne glass from her hands and delightfully sipped the rest because she certainly can't anymore.

He's a husband and a father, what a day.

He keeps his hands wrapped around her waist, looking down where their child is still hiding. They didn't think that Tony could get any happier on his wedding day, but they have been proven wrong. It can safely be said that this wedding is truly the best day of his life.

The rest of the night is memorable.

Tony and Pepper had one hand each on a knife handle and cut themselves a thick piece of their wedding cake. Once it was placed on a plate, they purposely did the cliché where they feed each other a piece by linking arms.

Pepper laughs as she wipes the icing on the corner of Tony's lips with her thumb and he places a flat hand on her stomach. She places one on top.

"Does he like it?" Tony asks.

"She loves the cake," Pepper replies as she takes a chunk in her hands and smashes it in his face.

Tony laughs as he puts the plate down. He cups her head and gives her a cake-filled kiss.

"I'm throwing the bouquet now," Pepper says, holding her flowers. "Jane, I'm going to try to aim for you."

"I'm still a good foot shorter than everyone else!" Jane yells. "Even in my heels!"

Aside from Jane, a drunk Clint was in the running for the bouquet. Natasha joked about them never getting married and he was going to prove her wrong. Also drunk, Peggy told Steve to not go catch the bouquet but he blushed like crazy before standing beside Jane and Clint.

The two months didn't matter. That action cemented the fact that Steve is going to marry this girl, bouquet or not.

Jane crosses her arms. She was against a drunk master marksman and a sober super soldier. Two Avengers.

"This is so rigged," Jane comments. "Thor, get over here!"

From the sidelines, Thor shakes his head. "I believe in you!"

Pepper points the bouquet at Jane before turning around. Her back faces them as she grins excitedly. She gives a countdown as she lowers her arms. Then, she throws the bouquet over her head and quickly turns around to see where it lands.

To their surprises, Clint stumbles into Steve which knocks them both over. Then, Jane leaps over them to catch the bouquet. Once it's in her hands, she spins around and whips the bouquet right at Thor.

Thor catches and Jane narrows her eyes at him. Tony and Bruce constantly nudge him as Jane walks up to him.

"I'm going to marry this woman," Thor says proudly.

"The bouquet says you have to," Jane responds as she stands on her tiptoes to kiss him.
