Author's Note: I haven't done this in a long time. Also this was prompted by what happened at Alton Towers :D :) :/ :|

Prompt: Ah... where Sasuke and Hinata (with friends or not) went to the Theme Park and Sasuke was scared of roller coasters...I think that's lame but then I don't have really good imagination. Maybe/ Maybe not?
Rollercoasters
"So class, where would you like to go?" Iruka called out, looking at the twelve year old children in front of him proudly. They had out preformed the other classes at the annual Sport's Day, and had won themselves a day-trip to wherever they would like. Currently, it was time to decide where exactly the day-trip would be. From his experience as a teacher, Iruka could already guess the destination that would be decided. "What about going bowling?" He suggested, already writing it on the board.
"Boo!" The loud disapproval echoed across the classroom. Then there was silence.
Finally, a bossy sounding female voice spoke up. "What about the museum? There are so many wonderful paintings to see." And she could also show off her knowledge of the arts to Sasuke, the pink headed girl thought dreamily. Of course, her suggestion was immediately rejected - who, when given the chance not to, would do something educational?
"The amusement park!" A blonde haired, blue eyed boy shouted with excitement. "Rollercoasters!" He yelled again, retaining the same excitement. At this suggestion, however, all of the other kids in the class grudgingly agreed. They would have agreed with more enthusiasm if someone else had suggested it, but alas, as it was Naruto - no one really wanted to agree. After all, wasn't he a good-for-nothing?
Not in the small Hyuuga girl's eyes. No, as she looked at the fellow twelve year old, she couldn't help but always stare at him in admiration. He was so extroverted, so outgoing, so determined - so unlike her! Oh, if only she were more like him-
"Well, that's decided, then," Iruka wearily assented. He'd known this would happen all along. His experience as a teacher told him so. "We're going to the Alton Towers Theme Park!"
It wasn't that Sasuke Uchiha was scared of rollercoasters. That certainly wasn't it: Uchiha were brave, fearless men! It was just - he'd prefer not to go on them, that was all. There's something about the metal contraptions and their flight through the air that made him think that staying on the ground was better. After all, there was nothing wrong with the ground. It was perfectly smooth, perfectly safe. It was something that everyone made contact with. In the summer, you could make grass angels and in the winter, you could make snow angels. It always changing shape, and it remained interesting, no matter what happened. There was nothing wrong with it! So why did people have to make these stupid things?!
"Um... Sasuke... are you a-alright?" The girl beside him stuttered wearily, momentarily bringing her eyesight up to his level. Sasuke scowled.
"Fine," he snapped irritably, turning to look out the window. At least he was stuck sitting next to the Hyuuga girl - it could've been worse. It could've been any of the other stupid fangirls in his class, who would do everything and anything possible to be able to spend a couple of hours alone with him. Luckily, he had avoided that by grabbing the Hyuuga at the last second - barricading himself from any other possible fangirls or - god save him - fanboys. Having already been in class with Hinata Hyuuga for two years, he knew that she was neither (unless she was hiding something) and therefore found her a suitable barrier against other unwanted classmates.
However, it didn't help that she was so unwilling every single time. Even now, she was staring across to the blonde headed Naruto (which made him twitch for some reason) who was sitting next to the annoying pink haired girl, whom he could never remember the name of for the life of him.
The bus jumped up, making a couple of girls and guys alike squeal. It was obvious that they were already excited about the approaching Theme Park. However, why there were so excited escaped him. What was so great about rollercoasters? What was so great about almost dying? Sasuke thought that humans avoided death - and yet here they were, riding straight towards it, without any regrets whatsoever.
At least he told his mother he loved her this morning. He swore some people in this class even forgot to do that.
He looked at the Hyuuga next to him. Maybe she was more sensible than the other bumbling idiots out there. "Hey, did you make your farewells this morning?" His voice caused her to jump and inch away before she realised that he was asking her a question.
And what a strange question it was. "Um... Y-yes... Doesn't everybody say goodbye t-to their family in the m-morning?" She asked, not knowing the rage her question would induce.
"No," he replied, a horrible scowl on his face, "did you tell them you loved them? What if this is the last time you'll see them?"
She blinked, surprised and somewhat frightened of his response. "Um... I don't think t-this is the last time I'll s-see them, though. I think w-we're coming back in a couple hours."
She... didn't understand. Sasuke scowled even more. He was an idiot to think, even for a second, that she would. He was an idiot to have tried elaborating further, even beyond that point. "What if we die, stupid?"
Hinata blinked again, no longer looking scared. In fact, she was somewhat curious, and had reached a rather peculiar conclusion. "Are you... scared, S-Sasuke?"
"What?!" Sasuke roared, beyond outraged. "What are you talking about? Scared? How could I be scared, Hyuuga?" Her father had told her once, when she was younger, that extreme denial always meant confirmation. But as wise as he was for telling her, she was just as wise for deciding not to mention it to Sasuke at that particular moment. Instead, she stayed silent when Sasuke Uchiha turned around to face the widow with a 'hmph'. That very silence was extended for the rest of the journey.
When they arrived, the bus exploded in cheers. All pre-teens yelled in exultance; all but the two dark haired, pale skinned preteens who sat at the back. One of them was too shy to say anything; the other had just gone from pale to paler.
When they got off the bus, Sasuke had been bombarded with female classmates. While trying to escape them, he somehow had managed to grab onto Hinata Hyuuga - and no it was not because he was scared of being in such a big place with rollercoasters. It was simply because the Hyuuga could safeguard him against any forthcoming disasters. That was it.
"Sasuke, your face looks a bit green, are you s-sure you're okay?" It was the concern in Hinata's voice that made him feel so queasy. Yes. That was it. That was all it had to be. "S-Sasuke-"
"Shut up, Hyuuga!" Sasuke snapped, his black eyes glinting. He took her hand once more, feeling too nervous about staying in one place. Besides, for some reason, everyone seemed to be going towards the right - there must have been something there! Like an exit, or a corner shop selling tomatoes, or something other than the stupid, stupid contraptions designed like death itself. Hinata frowned. Sasuke didn't look well enough to be going to The Smiler, which was the biggest ride in the park. Should she stop him? But he had been so rude to her... and she if she said something, she'd probably be scolded again. There was no point in saying anything, she decided. She was being silly. Of course he knew what he was doing.
The crowd of people seemed to be getting bigger, much to Sasuke's disparity. He couldn't see more than ten feet ahead of him and god, what was that godawful noise? Like a constant laughter, meant to creep you out. And the music. Why was there such music at a theme park? His head was beginning to hurt already. He couldn't wait until he was older - then not only would he not have to get dragged here, but he'd also be able to see a damn thing over the heads of all these people - why were they all so tall?! It wasn't helping him, not in the least.
He clenched his hands in annoyance, not realising that he was still holding onto the Hyuuga's hand. She made a little choking sound, and he let her go with a scowl. She could have said something about it earlier, dammit! It wasn't his fault he was feeling a little out of sorts today. it was all Naruto's fault, for suggesting this stupid trip in the first place!
The line of people was awfully slow. Why were there so many people at the exit? They wouldn't pay so much money to come here, and then walk straight back out - even though he couldn't understand why they'd want to come in the first place. And why wasn't the music stopping?
That was when he heard it. Another crazy human being. Say the following: "I can't wait to ride the smiler!"
He went from pale to paler to palest.
Hinata looked over at the Uchiha, still concerned. He looked so pale that someone could probably mistake him for a vampire. What was wrong? Wasn't he the one that dragged her to the ride in the first place? They'd waited for such a long time, too... If he felt ill, they could just turn back and go do something else. Maybe sit down in a cool area, and buy some water and food. But... he probably really wanted to ride the Smiler. Hinata smiled a little. His dedication was really admirable.
Meanwhile, in Sasuke's head: dammitdammitdammitdammitfuckshitfuckshitfuckshitfuuuuuuck. Even after cursing as many expletives as he could, the situation still wasn't changing. He was still stuck in this queue for this stupid ride, and the worst thing was, he couldn't leave. Why? Because people would come up with the rather false conclusion that he was scared of the damn thing! Well, he wasn't, he'd prove them wrong! He took one brave look at the looming rollercoaster above. Fuuuuuuuuuck.
At the very least, he figured, there were still a couple of hours for him to prepare himself.
Time goes very quickly when you don't want it to, Sasuke realised. That was why he found himself strapped on the front row of the stupid thing. Why did it happen to him? God damn it this wasn't happening why was it happening to him did he do something wrong this was probably his punishment for pushing Naruto over that one time when he wasn't looking-
"Sasuke, i-it'll be okay," Hinata repeated once more, unable to give up on trying to make him feel better. Poor guy, she sympathised, looking at his pale and shaky demeanour. "H-hold my hand if you're starting to feel like, um, t-throwing up,-" without further ado, Sasuke grabbed her hand, squeezing it hard. Hinata didn't say anything, mostly because the ride was starting.
She actually rather liked rollercoasters. They were fu-
Correction: they were fun when Sasuke wasn't screaming. She didn't think... guys could have such high pitched voices...
Why did this thing have to have so many loops? It was incomprehensible. It was stupid. Why would someone do this? Sasuke didn't know. Sasuke didn't think. Sasuke couldn't speak. Sasuke's head was swimming in loops after the whole escapade on the 'Smiler'. More like the 'Scowler' if you asked him. The only thing that felt tangible and there was the very firm grip that Hinata had on his hand.
She took him to a nearby bench, sitting him down so that his head was on her lap. She stroked his hair, mildly humming. That used to make her feel better when she was a kid and when she felt sick.
It took a while for Sasuke to get better and to recover his senses and brain cells. When he did, he shot up off her lap, and gave her a death glare. "You can't tell anyone," he seethed, mouth taught and eyes as sharp as knives. "And if you do, I'll make sure to make your life a living hell," he continued to threaten.
Hinata was confused. Was he really that embarrassed with being sick? "Okay," she agreed easily, not seeing what the problem was in the first place. Well, whatever made him happy, she figured.
"Okay," he repeated, his mouth beginning to turn upwards for the first time that day. The young Uchiha's face softened along with his eyes, that were starting to fill up with trust. He believed her. How strange; he normally didn't believe anyone. "Okay."
On the way back Sasuke was still holding Hinata's hand, and there wasn't a rollercoaster in sight.
