Chapter 8:
A licence to Kick Ass and Not Drive
12:01 PM
The magic-mobile sped over a hill and got a little air time as a result, only to have it slam into the ground and continue on. Ryu had almost physically shoved Gray into the passenger area so he could crouch down on the roof and have a few words with Erza. He discussed the encounter in full with Erza about the train fight up until he passed out. Erza listened intently as she could as she continued to pump raw magic into the vehicle and steer the thing as she did. Ryu still felt a little shaky from the vision that he had seen when he had touched Lullaby.
"So what did you exactly see?"
Ryu shivered slightly, "Not something I want to talk about in detail so I'll give the quick version. I was in a town, not sure which but it doesn't matter. I saw some blackened out figure with the flute pressed up to their lips and then they started to play. Every single person tried to cover their ears but one by one they all fell to the ground lifeless. Men, women, children, it didn't matter. Within a minute, they were all dead. I can still hear that sicking tune in my head, I thought I was going to die myself."
"Maybe the Force shielded your mind?" Erza suggested.
Ryu managed to laugh, "Look at you, talking about abilities you haven't got a single clue about."
Without looking at her face, Ryu knew Erza had a frown, "Although you may be right, I managed to withstand one of Mystogan's hypnosis attacks once with the Force . . . barely. Still didn't get a look at the bastard's face. Or perhaps it doesn't kill you if you merely hear it in a vision"
It wasn't long before they pulled to a stop at a ledge overlooking Kunugi Station, if they could call it that. It was a small building in the middle of a small narrow valley. They could see Eisenwald had uncoupled the last four train cars and left them behind. Luggage was scattered everywhere and people were shouting at a small detachment of soldiers placed at Kunugi Station. They could make out a couple people who were injured, most likely by Eisenwald but none looked dead.
Ryu's attention was focused on the wrecked train car, "Shit . . . my scream did that?"
Lucy, who was poking her head out the window, went wide eyed, "Your scream did that?! How is that even possible?!"
Ryu looked away from the blonde haired mage, "It's . . . complicated and personal."
Erza merely shot a quick glance up mat Ryu before turning her attention back toward the scene below, "Taking a train means they're fast, and if Ryu hypothesis is correct, then they're going to ride that train right into Colver Town where the Guild Master Conference is."
"Whether or not if it's right, we are going to be taking Lullaby from them." Gray added.
"Aye." Happy chipped in.
Lucy voice elevated, "Why are your clothes off?!"
"Oh, I hadn't noticed."
Ryu rubbed his eyelids out of annoyance, "Either way, we need to head for Oshibana station and try to cut them off."
"Shouldn't we let the army take over from here?" Lucy asked.
Ryu scoffed, "Ha, I wouldn't leave this to the army if I was missing both of my arms were missing and I had lost half my blood."
"The army might not be enough, that's why we're going after it." Erza said before speeding away from the station below them.
After a little bit of traveling, Ryu carefully hopped down next to Erza, she was a bit surprised by the action, "What do you think you are doing Ryu?"
The silver haired mage remained silent for a second before speaking, "I've been thinking Erza, maybe it's time for me to share about my true origins to at least one person."
That peaked Erza's interest, "Are you sure now's the time for that?"
"I don't mean now, but I may call you over to my house sometime soon. You have come closer than anyone else has to figuring me out so I might as well tell you the real story."
"But why me?"
"As I said, you've come closer than anyone else. And you've taught me a lot and put up with me on numerous occasions. I know I can trust you, you're one of the very, very, few people I can trust with my deepest secret."
Erza remained silent as Ryu shimmied back on top of the car, a minute of silence passed between them before she spoke again, she made sure only Ryu could hear her, "Maybe I should tell someone about my past as well."
Ryu grinned as he resumed his position on top of the vehicle, "It's a date."
Erza merely shook her head with a slight smile.

12:21 PM, Oshibana
Erza pushed the Magic-mobile to as fast as it could, Ryu could see she was starting to strain herself. There was also the issue that they were flying down a somewhat busy street in town, "You okay? Don't strain yourself too much, we may need your help when the fight starts you know."
Erza shook her head, "I'm fine, in the event that I do run out of magic, I can pick up a stick and use that against them."
Ryu thought for a moment, "You know, I could see you doing that and still kicking their asses."
"And even if that fails, we still have you, Natsu and Gray."
"Sounds like a recipe for world destruction."
Ryu leaned over the side of the car to peer inside, Gray was once again clothed, for now, Natsu leaning out of the vehicle about ready to fall out and vomit, Happy had his paw to his chin as if he was trying to think of something, and Lucy was the only one trying to stop Natsu from falling out.
"What's that?" Ryu heard Erza call out.
A giant pillar of smoke was rising out the building they were rapidly approaching, Ryu was able to make out what looked like trains tracks coming out the left and right of the building, "I think it's the train station, might be worth a look."
"Are you sure? What if Eisenwald already sped on ahead?" Erza asked with a slight hint of concern.
"We'll pop in for a minute to see if they continued on or stopped, but if why the hell would they stop is the question? It's literally a straight shot toward Clover Town"
The sudden stop of the magic-mobile caused Ryu to fly off the vehicle, over Erza and into the stone ground with a 'umph'. Ryu groaned as he sat up and rubbed his arm that he landed on. Erza merely gave him a glance to see if he was alright, Ryu nodded toward the red haired mage before she continued on to find out what was going on. The Jedi pushed himself to his feet and brushed off his duster before chuckling slightly, Lucy was attempting to carry Natsu but the DragonSlayer's weight was obviously having a hard time. Ryu walked over to the blonde girl and wrapped Natsu's free arm around his neck before taking all the slack off of her.
Lucy smiled slightly, "Thanks."
"Don't let it go to your head, lets go find Erza."
It wasn't hard at all to find her at all when she was headbutting the police posted outside the station entrance for entrance when they didn't answer her quick enough. Erza was a . . . straightforward person if nothing else. After about a minute, she finally managed to get the information she was looking for.
"Eisenwald is inside, it's good we stopped to figure out was going on. A small army detachment broke in earlier, we should hurry in and assist them."
Everyone else (except Nastu) gave a quick nod before rushing in. Erza took point followed closely Ryu and Happy with Gray behind them and Lucy bringing up the rear. It didn't take them long to find the army detachment that was sent in to deal with the Dark Guild. The soldiers laid scattered about like ragdolls, most of their weapons lay broken in half, and none of them were moving.
Ryu bent down next to the nearest soldier and placed two fingers on the mans neck. After a few seconds, a grim look crossed Ryu's face. Lucy went wide eyed, "You mean . . ."
Ryu looked up at Lucy, the angle of his head caused one eye to be hidden by his silver hair, "They're called a Dark Guild for a reason. If you'd like, you can wait outside."
Lucy stood silently for a second, looking a little horrified at what was in front of her. Then she shook her head, "No, I-I want to help you guys."
"Are you sure? If you do, we won't hold it against you." Ryu added.
Lucy didn't hesitate this time, "No, I want to help you guys. I can't back out now."
Ryu studied the girl for a second before standing back up and readjusting the still sick DragonSlayer on his back before continuing on. Erza could tell that Ryu was also upset by the bodies, Ryu had never gone so far as to kill somebody. The closest he had gotten was killing battle droids which didn't really count. He had seen dead bodies before but it never sat well with him, and having the horrible vision and seeing this bodies soon after had an effect on Ryu.
It was rage.
Unlike other people, rage actually helped Ryu focus in combat. Rage would let him focus on what he needed to do, and that focus increased his abilities . If he was still in the Jedi Order, that would have been shunned upon but once again, he no longer cared for the Jedi Order. His new order was Fairy Tail, and it was a vast improvement to him. Ryu took point this time as he rushed on ahead with his friends closely behind him. It wasn't long before they came upon the central, filled with the remainder of the train and a whole lot of Eisenwald Guild members. Ryu managed to pick out the man he had seen on the train before hand.
"So, you finally came Fairy Tail flies. We were beginning to wonder if you'd ever show up." The voice came from a lean-built and muscular man with silver hair, had tattoos on and around his chest, carrying a scythe and sitting on top of the train.
Erza spoke up as Ryu all but tossed Natsu to the ground and lucy started to try and wake him up, "I'm guessing your the one they call Erigor?"
The man with the scythe merely smiled at the question. Lucy continued to try to snap Natsu out of his motion sickness to no avail. Then the black haired man from train spoke up, "Damn you two flies! Because of you two, Erigor got angry with me!"
Ryu slipped his arms out of his duster which settled on the floor, revealing his white tank top and Mandalorian gauntlets. Gray noticed the duster flap to the floor and took a step back. The silver haired Jedi grinned, "He is going to be a lot angrier when I tell him we know your guys plan."
Erigor raised an eyebrow, "Oh, and what is it?"
"You're planning to use Lullaby at the Guild Master Conference."
Everyone could see Erigor's face shift from a neutral look to one of anger, his eyes shot to Kageyama's, "What have you done you fool?!"
Kageyama shot his hands up in defense, "I swear boss, I didn't tell them anything!"
"Then how do they know?!"
"Because you just told us you dumbass." Erigor eyes shot back to Ryu, "It was merely a hypothesis, you just confirmed it."
Erigor became more enraged, in his rage his sent a massive whirlwind toward Ryu and his group. Ryu threw his hands forward and yelled, "Stone Shield!"
The wind struck the shield and cracked it but did not go through, leaving everyone on the other side safe. Erigor's voice boomed from the other side, "Deal with these flies, show them what a true Dark Guild is like!"
All of Eisenwald's members began charging the stone shield but before they could, a massive wave of telekinetic energy shattered the stone and slammed into the first rows of guild members causing them to fly back. Erigor of taken back by the amount of power, even though he wasn't blown back, he could still feel the wave of energy hit him.
"Damn it." Erigor whispered, "Deal with them, I shall make my way toward Clover Town and get our revenge!"
Then with the blink of an eye, Erigor vanished. Ryu assumed his combat stance with his unactivated sabers in hand, he noticed Natsu was finally on his feet, "Natsu, Gray, and Erza, go after Erigor and stop him. He most likely has Lullaby."
Erza's eyebrows raised slightly, "Are you sure you don't want to go after him?"
Ryu's neck cracked as he rotated it, "Against you three, he doesn't stand a chance. Besides, I need to give Lucy a few pointers. Not to mention-" Ryu grinned slightly like a madman toward Erza, "Someone has to punish these pieces of utter and complete shit for those soldiers."
Erza was right about Ryu and the bodies, Ryu was a person of vengeance when it came down to these sort of things. It was then she noticed that Ryu's duster was currently laying on the ground, and whenever his duster came off, he held nothing back. Nothing. This why Ryu didn't want to work in teams, because when he went all out, his attacks are more area of effect. And his attacks don't discriminate between friend and foe.
Erza nodded slightly before turning to Lucy, "Stay back here and don't get involved with the fight. You're safer that way."
Lucy was slightly confused but she knew Erza was only thinking best for her. The three of them ran further into the station leaving Ryu and Lucy behind. Two members of Eisenwald, one being Kageyama, shouted something before running off in pursuit of the three. The rest of them turned their attention to the two remaining Fairies, mainly on Lucy.
One of the guild members called out, "Oohh, she looks nice."
"Look at those curves and breasts, can't wait to see them naked." Said another before Ryu heard something like slurping sounds.
"It will be fun playing with her, I call first turn!"
Lucy struck a seemingly innocent pose, "Being cute has it disadvantages too . . ."
Ryu glared at Lucy, "You think this is a fucking game?"
"I-bu-" Lucy stammered.
"These men will rape you if given the chance. Just think back to those soldiers, you really think these guys are messing around?" Ryu continued.
Lucy looked ashamed as her eyes fell upon the ground. Ryu sighed before turning his gaze back to Eisenwald, "But you're apart of Fairy Tail now." Lucy looked up again at the mage before her, "And being apart of Fairy Tail means you're family, and family protect each other."
"Ryu . . ." Lucy started.
But before Lucy could say anything else, Ryu readied himself.
Ryu pulled the memory of the soldiers back into his mind, letting himself be with rage seeing their corpses tossed about like ragdolls. Each of them could have had families, families that they would never be able to see again. Grieving widows and fatherless children entered Ryu's mind causing rage to build up inside him until it reached its peak. Then Ryu let out a scream of rage before hurling himself at the enemy with his black and white sabers in hand.
When his sabers connected with someone, it sent a shockwave of telekinetic energy that flowed from his sabers. Eisenwald members flew backwards from the attack, sending them walls, the train, or into other guildmates. Lucy was entranced by the display, the power that flowed from Ryu reminded her of a tornado with all the enemies flying around, and his attacks flowed together like water was passing over a rock, and the way he moved was almost like some kind of crazy dance but looked as graceful as . . . as a hawk in flight. Lucy now understood what that reporter in Sorcerer Magazine was talking about. She now knew where the name, Dancing Swordsmen came from.
"Ryu's fighting styles are strange, sometimes he fights with one magic and others he will blend his two magic abilities together. But whatever he chooses to fight with, it always seems to focus around power and speed or agility."
Lucy practically jumped at the cat's voice, "Why didn't you go with the others?"
Happy shrugged, "Whenever Ryu takes off his duster like that, it means he goes all out. It's rare to see him like this and I didn't want to miss it."
Lucy looked back to Ryu who was taking out multiple enemies with a single swipe of his blades that didn't always connect with anyone. Force Channeling was a favorite of Ryu since it allowed him to hit more than one person at a time. Happy went on to explain that this was the reason Ryu didn't want to work in groups because of what was essentially, anger problems. Lucy continued listening to the cat as he spoke but then became alarmed when she noticed a single member of Eisenwald was currently sneaking up behind Ryu with a nasty looking blade in hand.
Without thinking, she pulled out one of her Gate Keys, "Open, Gate of the Giant Crab!"
Ryu sent another line of Eisenwald members flying away with another swipe, his anger fueling every attack he made. No doubt his Sith bloodline was helping him, and that he would be tossed out of the Jedi order for doing so but once again, no matter to him. It was after this thought process was when his extra sense kicked in and alerted him to someone behind him. He quickly turned around to see a enemy he had missed with his blade raised. But before anything else could happen, the blade broke into several pieces and the man's hair seemed to just fall off his head. Ryu then noted the giant crab-like man standing not to far off from him that merely said "Ebi". Then in a matter of another second, Ryu had dropped kicked the man in front of him with some help from the Force causing the man to sail into the stone wall and caused it to crack from the impact.
After flipping to his feet, Ryu shot a quick glance toward Lucy, she thought she was about to be chewed out again for interfering, "Thanks . . . but I had him."
Lucy's eyebrows furrowed slightly, "Sure you did Ryu."
One of the Eisenwald members happen to hear the name, "Ryu . . . oh no."
The Jedi's attention turned back to the group in front of him, "Jeez, how are there still so many of you? I'm starting to get really annoyed now, so lets finish this."
Ryu leapt into the air and hovered there, using the lesser form of Force Flight. Then a massive brown magic circle manifested in front of him. Chunks of rocks from the ceiling and floor broke off in perfect spheres and hovered around him. And finally Ryu thrust his arms out in front of him and yelled, "Meteor Storm!"
The chunks of rocks sailed into the group of enemies below him, sending up massive amounts of dust obscuring the people below him. Once the dust settled after a minute only two more members still standing, one with a terrified look and the other with a clenched fist.
Lucy was shocked by the devastation before her, over four dozen men now lay crumples on the ground in defeat. Ryu's feet settled back down on the ground without so much as a sound. One of the last two fighters charged Ryu with fists engulfed in bright light with rage in his voice, "You have to deal with me now!"
Ryu extended his fingers shortly before green electricity flowed out of his fingers causing the man in front of him to writhe in pain from the shock. As soon as the electricity stopped, the man slumped onto the floor, groaning. The last remaining man took a step back out of fear, "It's Fairy Tail's most versatile fighter, 'The Dancing Swordsmen' Ryu Darkson."
"You see, I really don't like the name 'Dancing Swordsman'." Ryu extended his fingers toward the last remaining man but before he could shock him, the chubby man took off running. Instead of shocking him, he let the man go. Then he turned to Lucy and Happy, "Lucy, you can get him."
"Why me?! You could have stopped him easily!" She shouted.
"You need practice, you should be more than enough for him."
Lucy put on a slight pouty face, Ryu raised an eyebrow, "Go on, scoot, fetch, catch, come on little Lucy, you can do it." Ryu said in a mocking tone.
Lucy's brows furrowed once again before she stormed off for the man who had ran away. Ryu clipped his weapons to his belt and retrieved his duster. Once she was gone, a small log and his carving knife appeared in each hand in a flash of light. After a moments pause, Ryu began whittling away pieces of the wood. Ryu sat down cross legged as he continued to chip away the wood. Erza, Gray, and Natsu were going after Erigor so it would only be a matter of time before they caught him. And Lucy and Happy were chasing chubby, dealing with him didn't look that hard. There was nothing left for him to do, so he thought he might as well just sit down and work on a small project he had on his mind.
After about seven minutes, the basic outline of the wooden figure was done. Ryu knew how to cut efficiently due to much practice over the last couple of years. Then a the whistling of wind filled Ryu's ear, it sound as if there was a tornado just outside the building. Ryu lept to his feet and started walking toward the main entrance as he continued chipping away at the wood. Ryu took an alternate path, avoiding the dead soldiers, not wanting to see their corpses again. When he reached outside, he realized that he wasn't completely wrong about there being a tornado right outside the building.
Erza stood near the wall of wind, clutching her arm. Ryu walked briskly over to her but still continued to carve away, "So what's with the wall of wind?"
"Erigor planned this from the start, this wall of wind in meant to keep us in while he goes off toward Clover Town uninhibited. If I had only -" Erza started.
"It's not your fault, if it's anyones, it's mine. I'm the one that suggested that we check it out." The knife and partly carved wood disappeared in a flash of light. Ryu lightly grabbed Erza's injured arm, it didn't look pretty at all, "The barrier do this to you?"
Erza didn't answer as if she was ashamed by the injury. Ryu planted his palm on the injured part of her arm and she winced as she tried jerking away, "Ow, that hurts Ryu."
"Don't be a baby and hold still. I may not be able to fully heal the injury but I can definitely help." Once again, Ryu planted his palm on her injured arm. Erza then noticed a faint blue glow emanating from Ryu's hand. The pain in Erza's arm began to decrease slowly and soon the pain was lessened but still hurt pretty badly but was not as worse.
Once the blue light faded, Ryu staggered back a couple feet and fell to his knees. His breaths deep and sweat was streaking down his face. Erza inspected her arm and couldn't help but smile, "I can't decide whether to tease you about the fact that The Force has the ability to heal as well or tease you about how your healing could use some practice."
Ryu looked back up at Erza with annoyance, his words came in between deep breaths, "Force Healing . . . requires a lot of . . . Control . . . I kinda . . . skipped that part . . . of training."
After a couple more breaths, Ryu stood up, "And it's kinda different from regular healing, what I did was merely accelerate your body's healing process, it's a little different."
Erza's smiled widened somewhat, "Where does the list of your powers end?"
"Do you really think I just sit in my house all day drinking tea?"
Erza glanced back at wind wall as Ryu pulled some gauze and bandages out of his pocket dimension, "At least you'll be able to use this arm in a fight now but I recommend you get it treated properly when everything is done."
"I will. We should head back inside and see what we can shake out of the other Eisenwald members about getting rid of this wall of wind."
Ryu gave a shy smile, "You might have to slap them awake, I wasn't really . . ."
"Gentle?"
Ryu clapped his hands together, "Lets go with that."
The two of them made their way back into the station, again avoiding the path with the dead soldiers. When the two of them arrived in the central area, Ryu pointed out the person who seemed to be second in command of the group. While she began slapping him around, Ryu found some rope and began to bind the remaining members. Lucy, Happy, Gray, and Natsu had not made it back yet and Erigor had already left the building but perhaps one of them managed to find a way out. At least that's what Ryu thought until Gray came running into the central area from the second floor.
"Erza, I wasn't able to find Erigor and there's a giant wall of wind outside the station." Gray yelled before leaping over the railing and joining them on the floor.
"I know, Erigor trapped us in here and is making haste for Clover Town. But we can't break through, I've already tried." Erza lightly gripped her injured arm and winced slightly.
"Guys think, is there anyone who can break through the wind barrier?" Ryu asked quickly. The three of them sat in silence for a minute. Ideas were sailing through Ryu's head, he could try and encase himself in stone armor and try and bust through but that wind was too strong. And making a Stone Shield to disrupt the flow was out of the question as well.
Gray then snapped his fingers, "Wait, what about that one who broke the seal on Lullaby in the first place."
"That's our best bet now, unless any of you have any other suggestions." Ryu and Gray shook their heads, "Then we have to find him. He isn't among these guys, where could he be?"
Just then, a massive explosion shook the station. The shaking dispersed after a couple of seconds, "I'm guessing Natsu is having fun with him." Ryu replied.
The three of them quickly made their way to where the source of the explosion came from. It took a minute or two trying to guess which way to go but soon after they heard that all familiar voice. The three of them came running through a doorway and up some stairs to see Kageyama against a wall while Natsu looked mighty happy.
"Natsu, that's enough. We need him in a stable condition." Erza shouted.
Ryu grinned, "Did he give you much trouble or did you pulverize him?"
"Either way, way to go Flame Brain."
Natsu let out a shill shriek at Erza came running out him with her sword and tried to dive out of the way at the last second. Only to learn the sword wasn't meant for him but for Kageyama. The sword embedded in the wall and continued slashing down, stopping less than a inch away from Kageyama's neck. It looked like Kageyama was about to pee his pants but somehow he managed to hold it in. Ryu started to pat Natsu on the back as he continued to hyperventilate for a couple seconds.
"You are going to shut your mouth and dispel the wind barrier keeping us in, understood?" Erza asked in a intimidating tone.
"That wasn't funny, you are really dangerous Erza." Natsu managed to quip out.
"It was kinda funny almost seeing you shit yourself." Ryu joked.
Sweat seemed to cascade down Kageyama's face, "Al-alright, I'll do it."
He said that a moment before Kageyama let out a grunt of pain, and a second a later, a golden circle appeared on his stomach before a hand reached through. As soon as the hand was removed, Kageyama fell to the ground motionless. The man who had just possibly murdered his friend look horrified at what he had just done. To make it worse, Ryu recognized it as the man that he had let go. That didn't matter to Ryu as he quickly crouched next to Kage for he was their only way out.
"Damn it! Stay with us Kage, can you do anything to heal him Ryu?" Erza asked.
Ryu looked away, "As I said, I skipped that part training. Other than First Aid, I can't do that much."
"Damn, why of all things, this had to happen?!" Gray asked no one in particular.
"Stay with us Kage! We need you to remove the wind wall, don't die!" Erza pleaded.
"He was your own comrade . . ." Ryu turned around to see Natsu infuriated with his fists clenched.
Suddenly, fire erupted around Natsu, "He's a member of your own damn guild!"
The chubby man retreated into the wall as Natsu charged forward with his fist engulfed in flames. To say Natsu punched through the wall with ease would be an understatement, the wall was completely obliterated and the chubby man came flying out the opposite side looking beat up.
"Is this just how your guild is, killing your comrades without a second thought?!"
"Kage, stay with us!"
"Erza! He's unconscious, there's nothing we can do except trying to keep him alive." Ryu told Erza.
She then began to try and shake him awake, causing his head to repeatedly to hit the floor, "Wake up already, we need you to dispel the barrier already."
Ryu sighed, "I don't think that's helping Erza."
"Is this a bad time?"
Ryu turned around to see Lucy standing not too far away, "Alright guys, we need to relocate to outside the station. Natsu, Erza, and Lucy, head on ahead and start thinking of other ideas. Gray, help me move Kage outside just in case he wakes up."
Moving outside didn't take that long since everyone was moving double time. Once outside, Natsu began to pummel the wind wall in attempt to break through, Lucy and Gray merely watched as he did, meanwhile Erza helped Ryu bandaged the injured Kage.
Once finished, Ryu walked over to a pillar and punched it hard causing it to crack, "God damn it! If we could just get to the Magic-Mobile, we could easily catch up with the bastard!"
"Please Kage, wake up. We need your help." Erza pleaded again.
Ryu turned to Erza irritated, "Erza, you're barking up the wrong tree! Stop trying to wake him up already!"
"What would you do then, do you have a plan Ryu?" She asked back with slight anger which was a surprise.
"We don't know if he is ever gonna wake up, we need to concentrate on thinking of other ideas!"
Natsu once again ran up to the wind wall and attempted to break through. At this point, Ryu was beyond irritated. In fact, he was so mad that Ryu grabbed Natsu's ankle as he was punching the wind wall and slammed him into the ground with enough force to form a small crater.
Natsu looked up at Ryu "What the hell was that for?!"
"Trying to punch through it isn't going to help, alright?! That thing all but ripped off Erza's arm earlier!" Ryu took a deep breath before continuing, "Does anyone have any ideas how to get through this?"
Lucy spoke up, "Oh, can't you use your Earth Magic to dig a hole?"
Ryu regretfully shook his head, "No, I craft things out of stone. My earth magic is very similar to Gray's in how it's used. I could try but I don't know how long it would take me or if the tunnel I dug wouldn't collapse back on us. Now if we had some magic that was specialized for digging holes, that would be a different story.
"AH!"
It was Ryu's turn to jump at the sudden voice of the cat, Happy turned to Lucy with a somewhat regretful look, "Lucy, I remember what I was going to tell you on the way here!"
Lucy thought back for a second, "You mean when you kept calling me weird?"
Happy quickly reached into his bag and produced a golden key, "This."
Lucy freaked out, "Isn't that Virgo's Key, and you went and stole it from Duke Everlue?!"
"Wait, Virgo? You mean that gorilla maid?"
"Wait, what?" Ryu asked with a bewildered look, trying to picture a gorilla in a maid outfit.
"You should know stealing is wrong Happy." Lucy said as she pinched the cat's cheek.
"Wait no, Virgo told me that she wanted to be your new master!" The cat cried out.
Lucy released the cat, "What? Doesn't Virgo have a contract with Everlue?"
"That's the thing, when he was arrested, her contract with was annulled apparently. She later came to us and said she wanted to make a contract with you."
Ryu grew a bit irritated with the cat again, "I don't understand how that helps our current situation Happy. Can you stop wasting time?"
"But-" Happy nervously looked at the ground, "She has the ability to tunnel underground. I thought it could help us get under the Wind Wall."
Everyone but Ryu had stunned looks on their faces, Natsu had a small flashback, "Oh yeah, she can do that."
"Happy . . ." The cat looked up at the silver haired mage, "I am buying you fifty pounds of raw fish when we get back to Magnolia."
Happy's face lit up at the image of all the fish. Lucy was quickly given the key and she walked a small distance from the rest of them. Ryu had only met Celestial mages and seen their keys but never once had seen a Celestial summons. The only creatures he had seen were a giant cow and a mini snowman with a drill nose that constantly shook slightly. So this was going to be a new experience for him.
Lucy held the golden key out to the open air, "I am connected with the path to the celestial spirit world." A golden circle appeared at her feet a moment later.
She continued, "Heed my call, pass through the gate. Open, Gate of the Maiden!"
A light blue magic circle appeared on the ground a moment before a figure broke out of the ground and flew into the air. The figure was a woman with pink hair with a shackle on each hand with a chain attached. The most noticeable feature was that the woman was wearing a maid outfit which caused Ryu's eyes to light up some. When she landed the figure and, the maid gave a slight bow toward Lucy.
"You called, Mistress?" She asked.
"Who're you?" Lucy asked with a shock face.
Ryu quickly walked forward, and began to pace around the new arrival with one hand to his chin. He would occasionally gently poke the maid outfit as well as run his hand across some of the fabric. The woman paid him no heed as he continued to examine her. Ryu was a bit curious by the shackles on her hands but didn't really care all that much about them.
Lucy face became puzzled, "Ryu, what are you doing to her?"
Gray sighed and shook his head, "Ryu has a fetish for maid outfits."
Ryu pointed an accusing finger at Gray, "I am a Maid Outfit enthusiast, and I don't want to hear it from somebody who unconsciously strips themselves down to their boxers."
Natsu walked up with a grin, "Wow Marco, you've really slimmed down haven't you?"
"My name was Virgo, and I apologize for causing you trouble earlier."
Ryu practically shoved Natsu out of way, "Don't mind him, so you're name is Virgo? My name is Ryu Krayt Darkson, a pleasure to meet someone who can pull off that maid outfit such as you." He took one of her hands and kissed the back of her hand.
Lucy was still somewhat surprised, "Why do you look like that Virgo? You looked completely different from before."
"Being a devoted Celestial spirit means I can take on any shape that my master wishes. I can switch back if you so wish."
Lucy quickly held up her hands, "No, no, it's fine. This form is way better than the other one."
Virgo nodded, "Understood."
"Look, we're in a big rush so can we save the contract for later?"
"Very well, my Princess."
Lucy's eyes lit up for a second, "Princess . . . I could get use to that."
Ryu rolled his eyes as Virgo bowed once more before a smoke cloud enveloped her. Once the smoke cleared, Virgo was gone and in her absence and a giant hole was visible to everyone. A faint digging sound could be heard from the hole that seemed to for fainter with every second. Erza smiled, "Great, lets get going now."
But before they went down the hole, Natsu and Ryu quickly moved to Kageyama's side and wrapped his arms around their necks. Gray raised an eyebrow, "What are you two doing?"
Natsu answered first, "Having him die after fighting me would leave a bad taste in my mouth."
Everyone's eyes shifted to Ryu, he held up his free hand, "Hey, I'm doing this so I can get a good night's sleep."
"What do you mean?" Lucy asked.
Gray interrupted, "We can talk about it later, we need to go right now."
Everyone nodded in agreement as they all jumped into the freshly dug tunnel. They were able to move through it quickly thanks to Natsu providing a flame with his free hand. Getting out was just as easy since Virgo dug up at a low enough angle allowing them to jog out. As soon as they were outside again, the force of the wind from the Wind Barrier whipped up their clothes. Ryu managed to catch a quick glance at Lucy's pantis before Virgo started to hold her skirt. As a result, it caused Virgo skirt to whip up, exposing hers to Gray. Although judging by his face, she might not have been wearing any in the first place.
Natsu leaned in closer to Ryu, "Can you take him?
Ryu smirked, "Planning to go all on your own and stop Erigor?" Natsu didn't answer him but the answer was apparent, "Get going you idiot, Erigor isn't slowing down."
Natsu smiled before letting go of Kageyama, Ryu almost lost his balance by the sudden added weight but managed to stay on his two feet. Happy grabbed onto Natsu's back and used his magic to summon his wings. A second later, the two of them were flying off in the direction of Clover Town.
"Lets get to the magic-mobile and catch up!" Erza shouted to make herself heard.
"It's no use . . ." Ryu looked at Kageyama to see he was starting to wake up from his sleep, "There's no way you can catch him now. We win."
Ryu started to chuckle which soon turned into a full blown laugh, he had trouble trying to bend over and not drop Kageyama. The Shadow mage looked questioningly at Ryu, "What are you laughing about?"
Ryu continued to laugh for a couple more seconds before speaking, "If you think your boss can stop Fairy Tail's most fiery headed idiot, then he is in for a big surprise."
At the mention of Natsu, every realized that he was nowhere to be seen. Ryu started walking in the direction of the magic mobile, "Let's go, I want to catch the show if possible."
Everyone quickly moved to the car, as for Virgo, Lucy thanked her once more before letting her return to wherever the Spirits came from. Ryu was a little disappointed but he had more pressing matters. Gray and Lucy helped Ryu situate Kageyama so that he was remotely comfy. But as Erza walked for the driver seat, Ryu grabbed her wrist and pulled her close, staring into her brown eyes.
She tried jerking away, "What are you doing Ryu?!"
Ryu could tell that she was tired, the magic mobile drained a large portion of her magic. Erza was a S-Class Wizard but even she had her limitations. Ryu jerked his thumb to the cabin portion of the car, "Get in."
"Ry-" Erza started.
He quickly held up a hand to silence her, "You've used a lot of magic, I can see it in your eyes. You're tired, get in the car or I will forcibly shove you in there and weld the doors shut with my lightsabers."
"Remember what happened last time you drove one of these?" Erza asked.
Ryu threw his hands up in irritation, "For the last time, that building was not there three seconds before I hit it. At least I crashed into a bed making factory and we had a soft landing . . . right before the overheated engine caught one of the beds on fire and burnt the place down . . . We were never caught for it."
Erza rolled her eyes before she got in the car as Ryu hopped into the driver seat and attached the device to his arm that powered the car. He heard Erza's voice inside the car and couldn't but smile at what she said, "You guys are going to want to buckle up."
As soon as Ryu's foot hit the gas, he could feel his magic being drained from his body. I car peeled out for a second before it got traction and sped off. Ryu took a route around the Wind Wall that met up with the train tracks. Problem was the tracks were fifteen feet in the air and the only 'on ramp' was back at the station which was currently still surrounded by the wind wall. Ryu then suddenly thought of a fun idea.
Ryu leaned over the side and placed a couple fingers on the ground, "Stone Pillar."
This pillar was different from the other pillars, while it was at a somewhat steep angle, it was much wider than his usual pillars. Ryu gained some distance from the pillar and once he was far enough, he jerked the steering stick and slammed on the brake causing the car to slide to a perfect stop, facing the pillar.
Lucy stuck her head out of the window in anger, "Watch what you're doing Ryu, I banged my head on the wind- Wait what are you doing?"
Her response was Ryu taking his foot off the brake and slamming it on the gas, resulting in the car peeling out once again. Lucy let out a shriek as the car shot forward and hid back in the safety of the car. He could hear screams from inside the car telling him to stop but he didn't listen to them as he drew them nearer to the pillar. Everyone let out a loud continuous scream as the car hit the stone pillar, shot up the angled slope and flew off the tip into the open air.
Ryu knew their trajectory would be off, so he used his Force powers to do the equivalent of a 'Force Slap' to the side of the car, causing them to land intact on the tracks. As he continued to drive along the tracks, the screaming slowly died down in the car. It wasn't long after someone stuck their head out of the car, it was Gray.
"What are you trying to do, get us killed?! I've seen you do stupid stuff bu-" Gray stopped for a second before continuing, "Who am I kidding, that was freaking awesome Ryu!"
Lucy started yelling as Gray pulled his head back inside, "No, you're supposed to tell him off and to not to do it again!"
Ryu continued to regulate his magic that he channeled into the vehicle as to not drain himself too quickly, and that last stunt of his took quite a bit out of him. And if he ran out of magic, then it would probably be Gray's turn on the driving part. Although Ryu wasn't sure if Gray had ever driven this kind of vehicle, and to make matters worse, they were on a narrow train track suspended in the air. That was now over a giant chasm, Ryu couldn't see the bottom even with his enhanced Force Sight. He gripped the steering stick a little tighter and slow down slightly. If they were to fall, Gray, Erza and him could easily escaped before the car hit the ground. Although the same could not be said for Lucy and Kage.
But something did have Ryu curious, what would happen if he would start channeling the Force into the vehicle. It was possible for him to do it but Ryu didn't know what would result in him doing it or if the car would even work. They were in the middle of something serious . . . but curiosity got the better of Ryu. He would stop channeling his magic and replace it with the Force for a couple seconds to see what happened then quickly switch back with no one being the wiser. This would not be the case.
He ceased his magic magic flow and switched it to the Force. The engine began to sputter and cough, causing the entire vehicle to shake wildly. Erza stuck her head out the window, "Running out of magic already already Ryu? That was really quick."
"No it's not my magic thats ran out, something is wrong with the engine, I have no idea what's going on." Ryu lied.
"Maybe something got shaken loose when you took us off that ju-"
Erza then screamed as the vehicle then kicked into what could only be described as 'Hyper Speed'. The car let out a tremendous 'roar' just before it speed up to about three times its normal max speed. Ryu was pressed into the seat as it picked up speed, one hand still gripped on the steering stick thankfully. He was also thankfully that the track was mostly straight with very slight turns or else they would have flown off. He immediately stopped using the Force as soon as they took off but it took some time for the car to return to its normal speed, a lasting effect of the Force Ryu thought.
Once the car resumed to its normal speed, Lucy stuck her head out again, "You are never driving ever again."
Ryu only nodded, "Agreed."
It wasn't long after that that Ryu saw a pillar of fire erupt from somewhere further along the train tracks. Everyone knew who it was without giving it a moments thought. Ryu pulled to a stop as they neared a defeat Erigor and a grinning Natsu without his coat. Ryu quickly unbuckled the doohickey on his arm and tossed it to the side as he hopped out to greet a victorious Natsu. Everyone else stumbled out of the vehicle and were just plain happy to finally be out of that death trap.
"What's up with them?" Natsu asked.
Ryu shrugged, "Motion sickness? Well, looks like I was right about you wiping the floor with Erigor."
The Jedi and Dragon Slayer high fived each other before Ryu spotted Natsu's coat snagged on a rock on one of the surrounding cliff edges. Ryu lifted it off the rock and pulled it closer to him using the Force. Everyone else was congratulating Natsu on his victory except for Kage who just looked stunned at the defeat of Erigor. Once the coat was in Ryu's hands, he neatly folded it up, Ryu was a man who liked coats, his black duster was an example. Ryu loved the thing to death, hence why he had a repair spell placed on it, even if most of the thing was destroyed, he could repair it if he just had a tiny piece of the duster remaining. He returned Natsu's coat to him and congratulated him once more. But just when they all thought everything was over, the magic-mobile's engine revved up.
The vehicle managed to jump over them via Kageyama's Shadow magic, "Lullaby is now mine! You stupid flies let your guard down!"
Everyone stood with their mouths agape, stunned at what just happened. Natsu was the first to react, "That jerk!"
"And we even saved him." Lucy commented.
Erza pointed after Kageyama, "Enough talk, we need to go after him. Ryu, go on ahead."
"Roger!" In a flash of light, Ryu's duster disappeared once again revealing his white tank top. Shortly after, Ryu started to have the Force surged through his body, primarily his legs. Ryu shot off a tremendous speed, not as fast as the magic-mobile but a lot faster than any of them could run. Force Surged was a great way to get from place to place if you don't want to use transportation, and Ryu used it so often that he could perfectly regulate so he could sustain his speed for a couple hours.

6:49 PM, Just outside Clover Town
Although it didn't even take him a half hour to reach the outskirts of Clover Town from where he started. Ryu once the magic-mobile tracks as soon as the tracks met with solid ground. Following the tracks wasn't that hard either since they left obvious tracks in the ground. It took approximately five minutes before Ryu found the magic mobile parked. Further up from where the car was Kageyama standing a couple feet away from a ledge with Lullaby clutched in one hand. Ryu quietly moved along the path before diverting into some bushes and continued parallel to the path until only a single thick tree stood between him and Kage. The darkness shrouded him making it hard to see him, giving him the element of surprise.
Ryu quietly unclipped a lightsaber and prepared to throw it, having Kage lose an arm or a leg wouldn't kill him, only cripple. He was about to activate and throw it just before another voice not to far off caught both of their attention.
"Ah, all these girls are all so lovely. Wizards these days are so high level on the inside . . . and more importantly outside!" Makarov sat on a rock not too far from Kageyama who was reading a Sorcerer magazine, Ryu was surprised that he wasn't able to pick up on the little guy.
"These glamour shots are oh so wonderful." Makarov said, letting out a happy chuckle just before he hopped off the rock and closed the magazine.
"Oh no, no, no. This isn't the time for this. I need to catch up to those bumbling fools-" Makarov then turned around and was surprised to Kageyama standing not too far from him, "Eek! Ah you see, this is just research! Yes research, nothing else, I promise you! I have no reason to be ashamed of this."
Kage sighed, "You don't have to make excuses you know . . ."
"Oh wait, you're injured. What are you doing out here with all those injuries . . . and creepy flute?"
"I, um . . . " Kageyama then realized who he was talking to, it was the guildmaster of the people who took down Erigor. Just as Makarov began walking away, he spoke up once again, "Wait, would you care for a song? You see, they don't allow instruments in the hospital and I would just love to play for someone. I know the flute doesn't look like much, but it sounds amazing."
Ryu crouched down and took aim again as Makarov spoke, "Hmm . . . I'm in a hurry . . . but one song won't hurt."
"Of course." Ryu could see a sly grin make its way across Kageyama's face, "Please listen well."
Ryu brought his arm back in preparation to throw the saber, he wouldn't active it till it was close to Kageyama for the element of surprise. But just before he was about to throw his weapon, he heard Makarov clear his throat. Out of habit, his gaze shifted to the tiny master. Ryu found Makarov staring him dead in the eyes, Makarov then shook his head slightly. Ryu understood this message but why, Makarov had no idea what this flute could do, or did he? If the worse came, he could always use the Force to launch Kageyama off the cliff while screaming in pain. Ryu lowered his arm but remained at the ready.
Kage started to bring the flute up to his lips but then stopped. Ryu reached out with the Force to see what was wrong and was surprised at what he sensed. Kageyama was hesitant. The amount of conflicting emotions through Kageyama's body was also surprising. Ryu couldn't help but smile a little, even spending a short amount of time with members of Fairy Tail was enough to changes someone's heart. Ryu tensed up a little as Kageyama brought the flute to his lips but still he didn't play it. They all stood there for a minute but Kageyama still didn't play.
"Nothing will change."
Kageyama was clearly shocked by this sudden announcement from Makarov that the flute was removed from his mouth. The small guild master continued, "The weak will always remain weak. Although that isn't necessarily a bad thing. People are weak creatures by nature. People's insecurities are why guilds exist. Why comrades exist. They come together and move forward, to live life to the fullest. If you're clumsy, you might run into more obstacles and take a long way around, but as long as you step forward with faith in tomorrow, you'll find your own strength will emerge on its own. You'll be able to smile and live life to the fullest. You don't need some special flute for that."
A couple seconds went by before Kageyama dropped the flute and fell to his hands and knees, "I give up."
Ryu clipped his lightsaber back to his belt and smiled, Makarov had always been one good with words. Ryu came out from behind the tree as the rest of the gang came running up to Makarov. He crouched down and placed a hand on Kageyama's back as a friendly gesture. Erza pulled Makarov into a hard hug causing his head to smash against Erza's armor. Lucy came over to check on Kage with Ryu while the rest of the guild masters that were hiding came down the hill to join them.
Everyone was rejoicing that the battle was now over. But a chill shot shot up Ryu's back as soon as he felt a massive amount of energy surging from the flute.
"Oh shit."
"I grow tired of all you gutless wizards!" Came a demented voice that sound both male and female. A giant purple magic circle appeared in the sky shortly before lighting shot out of it, "I can no longer hold back! I will eat you all myself!"
A giant wooden creature a out of the circle, it had three eyes like the flute, it looked somewhat like a skeleton and look horrifying, "I will devour your souls!"
Immediately Ryu began running away from the creature, everyone was shocked by his action but quickly turned their attention back to Lullaby. But he wasn't abandoning them, not in the slightest, he was going to merely fulfil a dream that he has had on his bucket list ever since he drove the last magic-mobile into a bed factory.
Lullaby laughed, "Look at your comrade run, he has left you to a fate worse than death!"
"Why is it so huge?!" Lucy cried out.
Happy sighed, "That's your complaint?"
"What the hell! No one told me about this!" Kage added.
"Why did a monster a monster come out of the flute?!"
"That monster is Lullaby, in the flesh. It's living magic, in other words, Zeref's magic."
"Zeref was the most evil wizard in the history of wizard kind."
"Enough talk, whose soul shall I dine on first?" Asked Lullaby.
"How about this one!"
Everyone turned around to see Ryu sitting in the magic-mobile with a massive grin on his face. The Force then began to surged through the car, causing to shoot off like a bullet. The car quickly picked speed and was soon going faster than the flying speeders they had back on Coruscant. Ryu then focused his magic on the ground right next to the ledge and summoned his so well known, Stone Pillar. Everyone lept out of the way as the car sped past. Just before the car hit the ramp, Ryu severed the doohickey that channeled magic into the vehicle and back flipped off and over the car. He landed on the very tip of the stone pillar as the car sailed through the air. And to give it a little extra punch, Ryu slammed the back of the car with a massive amount of telekinetic energy.
The car sailed straight into Lullaby's face and erupted in a massive fireball that covered the entire upper half of the monster. Ryu turned back to the others with a wide smile on his face, "You guys have no idea how long I've been waiting to do something like that."
"That hurt you annoying fly!" Lullaby recovered from the explosion a little worse for wear. The explosion charred some of its upper body but no real other damage was apparent other than that.
Just then, they all heard a voice in the distance, "The creature is distracted, nows our chance to take it down! Charge!"
Lucy smiled, "It's the army, we're saved!"
Ryu couldn't help but snicker, "Just watch."
"Begone with you small fries!" Lullaby then fired a beam of light at a nearby mountain behind the army. The entire mountain exploded sending chunks everywhere. After a few more seconds, the army then turned tail and retreated without another thought.
The massive creature then turned its sights back on them, "Now then. I've finally decided. I am going to consume all of your souls, wizards!"
The jedi moved beside his comrades as Natsu started shouting back at Lullaby, "Bring it on, I dare you!"
Lucy stood off to the sidelines, "What can the four of them do?"
"What about you?!" Ryu yelled .
"Well . . . not of my celestial spirits are available today so . . ." She began.
"Talk about useless." He sighed
"S-shut up Ryu!"
Lullaby let out another roar, but Erza, Natsu, Gray and Ryu stood unphased as everyone else clamped their hands down on their ears to try and lessen the horrible sound. The sound wasn't exactly pleasant to Ryu, but he was strong enough to not be affected by the roar.
"Lets go!" Erza shouted
"Roger!" The three men came in unison.
Erza took the lead, followed closely by Natsu, Gray, and Ryu. Erza equipped her armor to 'Heaven's Wheel Armor' and delivered a powerful strike against Lullaby's abdomen. Gray used his ice magic to send several Ice Lances that impacted in various spots over Lullaby's body. Natsu was less refined, he straight up engulfed his fist in fire and punch Lullaby in the face. To be fair, it looked like it hurt. Ryu on the other hand took a lower road, using a combination of Stone Pillar and Force Surge, he rocketed toward one of Lullaby's knee caps. With the speed Ryu was carrying behind him, and the Force powered stored up inside his lightsabers, the sabers not only cut deep into the knee but the telekinetic energy behind the sabers were enough to severely cracked the knee. As Lullaby reached down to grab him, Ryu merely pushed off the knee and landed on the ground next to his comrades.
"You are really starting to annoy me!" Lullaby then tried a sweeping blow at all four of them but it was easy enough to jump out of the way of the arm.
Erza delivered another powerful to Lullaby once again to its arm as Gray fired off another barrage of Ice Lances. Nastu switched things up a bit by striking Lullaby with a 'Fire Dragon Wing Attack' that seemed to weaken the integrity of Lullaby around the solo plexus. Ryu decided to try out a Earth power he had refined but hadn't used recently.
Ryu focus his magic on the ground in front of him, "Stone Spear!"
A spear about the size of a large bolt fired from a ballista erupted from the ground and flew toward Lullaby. The stone spear struck Lullaby in the weakened solar plexus area and embedded itself deep in the chest cavity. Lullaby cried out in pain just before it started to gather up magical energy. The foliage around them started to wither and die. Ryu could tell that Lullaby was about to play its song but he wasn't worried.
"Your souls will be mine!" Lullaby then clapped its hands together and began to play. What it wasn't expecting was for its music sounded nothing more than some newbie playing the flute.
Lucy was the first to piece together out of the people who didn't already know, "All those attacks messed with the holes and screwed up the music. All that buildup just for this?!"
Lullaby looked nothing short of defeated but it wasn't long before its rage returned, "To hell with this! I'll just crush you all without my music!"
It turned its sights on the guild masters and Lucy, Erza, Natsu and Gray wouldn't be able to act fast enough. And to make matters worse, Ryu wouldn't be able to get over there in time. The masters might be able to take the hit but surely Lucy wouldn't be able to. Lullaby began to summon up its energy when a familiar voice resonated inside Ryu's head.
"Ryu, the knee you struck! Use your latest technique! " Yelled Zhesus inside Ryu's head.
Ryu extended one hand and focused his Force energy on Lullaby's knee. With the Force, he could see every fault in Lullaby's cracked knee, every weakness just waiting to be exploited. Shatterpoint, Ryu's latest move in training. Shatterpoint was commonly used by Mace Windu back in Ryu's galaxy, but according to Zhesus, it was created long before Windu was even born. Shatterpoint required the user to sense the opponents body and it would detect a fault line per say. For example, a good fault line would be a mortal wound that was healed, Shatterpoint would detect that and then you would reopen the wound. But it not apply to living beings alone, but machines or other inanimate objects as well. Another fault line would Lullaby's heavily damaged knee
Even though Ryu was still attempting to learn this power, detecting the fault lines in Lullaby's knee was hardly difficult. Acting like Ryu was crushing a bug in his hand, he clenched his hand into a fist. To say Lullaby's knee broke would be an understatement, it practically exploded with the amount of Force energy Ryu applied to the weakened area. Lullaby went crashing to the ground before it could get off its attack. And as soon as its knee shattered, it was over for Lullaby. Erza equipped her Black Wing Armor and cut through one of its arm that it was using to push itself up resulting in it crashing back down. But just before it was going to use its other arm to quickly push itself up, Gray sent two spinning blades ice saucers at the arm which severed it easily as well.
And last but certainly not least, Natsu leapt high above Lullaby and shouted at the top of his lungs, "Eat this! Fire Dragon's Dazzling Flame!"
Natsu's attacked quite literally burned Lullaby out of existence. Ryu could hear its dying scream echo through his ears but he didn't really care. A bright white light shot into the sky and exploded softly, sending down little specs of blue light everywhere. Ryu regrouped with his friends in the dust and re-donned his leather duster, see as the night cold was starting to nip at him due to his adrenaline ceasing. All the guild masters could be heard cheering for their victory. It didn't take the dust long to settle, and as soon as Lucy saw his comrades, she came running up to congratulate them.
"That was amazing, how did you guys do that?!" Lucy exclaimed with awe in her eyes.
"Well, a little teamwork never hurt anybody." Ryu said innocently.
Erza raised an eyebrow, "You did not just say that."
Ryu merely shrugged, "Who knows, I might tag along with you guys more often if it means battling giant monsters like that."
"T-the conference hall!" Makarov shouted.
The four of them turned around to see where the conference hall was. It was now replaced with a giant crater caused by Natsu's last attack, "Well, you guys are gonna need a new conference hall."
"Aye, along with a mountain or two."
Just then it looked like Makarov's spirit left his body and began floating around. A panicked Erza soon gave chase after the master's spirit while Natsu stood laughing triumphantly, "Man, we sure destroyed everything, didn't we."
Ryu couldn't help but laugh a little just before something caught his attention. A small cracked twisted looking flute laid quietly on ground. The flute then made short, sharp cracking sounds as Ryu slowly drove his boot through the skull of the flute. Ryu twisted his ankle a couple times just for good measure.
Ryu looked up at the moon, it was shining brightly down on all of them. Its light somewhat reflected of the ground. He spoke without looking at the others, "You know guys, I just remembered something."
His small group of comrades turned to him with curiosity, "I just remembered, today is July Seventh."
"It's my birthday."
Yay, chapter 8 done. Sorry if this chapter seemed a little boring to you, but I promise that the next one is going to be much better. Ryu will be diverting from the main group and will rejoin up with them from time to time (mainly the important parts of the Arcs) I've been waiting for chapter 9 for awhile now because I get to introduce a all new character that will show up again every now and again. Ryu will be having his own kind of story between the Arcs which will include other members from Fairy Tail as well. Also since school has started again, I feel a lot less motivated to write and more motivated to lay around a read other fanfiction. Hopefully, one day when Fairy Tail finally comes to a close, I will be able to finish this story. This story is a long term project and will probably stick with till I'm forty something but I will stick to it . . . unless I die horribly somehow. Anyway, thank you those who have favorited and followed my story. Leave a review on what you like or how I can improve the story.
And I will see you all next time one
