"Why does Mira have that look in her eyes lately?" Lucy asked Levy nervously. The two girls, along with Lisanna, were sitting outside for lunch under one of the big trees in the front yard.

"It's just that time of year," Levy sighed.

"Excuse me?" Lucy asked, not really sure what that meant.

"Valentines Day is in a week," Lisanna whispered. "Mira goes into matchmaking mode. She'll make sure we all have dates to the school dance."

"I think you should go with Kyo," Levy said.

"Don't add fuel to the fire!" Lisanna whined.

"No, you would look good together," Lucy said. "Trust me, you are just his type."

"Geez, Lucy," Levy said. "One minute you're swearing at the teacher, the next you are playing matchmaker. Time sure does fly, huh?"

"Right?" Lisanna laughed.

"You guys," Lucy sighed. A piece of paper was waved in front of her face. She followed the hand up and saw Gray.

"There's your ticket to the dance," he said.

"Oh really?" Lucy asked, crossing her arms. "And what makes you think I would go with you without being asked?"

"I'll take Juvia if you don't want to," Gray teased.

"I'll go with Ciel," Lucy countered.

Gray grabbed her face and kissed her sweetly on the lips. "Lucy, will you go to the dance with me?"

"You didn't have to ask," Lucy laughed. "But yeah, I will."

"No PDA in school," Layla scolded, flicking Gray's forehead.

"Ow," he said, rubbing his forehead. He sat down on the grass next Lucy, who immediately leaned into him.

"Why don't we all go out dress shopping after school?" Levy suggested.

"Lucy already has a dress," Layla said. She got a confused look from Lucy. "I bought you one for the NYMAC, remember?"

"No way," Gray said. "She is not wearing that."

"What's wrong with it?" Lisanna laughed.

"It's at least two sizes to small," Lucy said, rolling her eyes.

"Fine, you can go shopping tonight," Layla said, ruffling her daughter's hair on her way back to the gym.

"Any requests?" Lisanna asked Gray in a teasing voice.

"How about a full body suit?" he asked.

"What's that suppose to mean?" Lucy was slightly a offended.

"I don't want anyone else seeing you looking so beautiful," he said smoothly, kissing her shoulder. She just blushed and looked away.

"You guys are so cute!" Lisanna and Levy squealed.

"Do you guys know where I can find Ciel Willow?" a student council member asked, running over to the group.

"What do you need?" Lucy asked, pushing Gray's face away. Lisanna and Levy quietly giggled.

"Student Council wants his band to sing at the dance next weekend," she said.

"He usually eats in the music room," Lucy said. The girl thanked her and ran off.

"So meet at Lucy's after school?" Lisanna asked.

Erza, Mira, Lisanna, and Levy all went to Lucy's after school. Since she lived in town, it was easiest to meet there. After Layla giving Lucy money, they all got in Erza's car and went to the mall. They decided to look at the Deb store first.

"So you're going with Jellal?" Mira asked, wiggling her eyebrows.

"Yes," Erza said, blushing. "He asked me last week."

"So is it official yet?" Lisanna asked. They have been going on dates since sophomore year, but they haven't even hugged yet, or so they were told.

"Y-yes," Erza said, her face the same shade as her hair.

"What happened!" Levy demanded.

"W-well," Erza started. "W-we were at th-the park, and he asked me to the dance. Then he k-k-kissed me on the cheek. He asked me if th-that was okay. And after I said it was, he k-k-k-kissed me on the l-lips."

"That's so sweet!" Lisanna squealed. They all loved how nervous Erza got around Jellal. It was the only time she was nervous, really.

"What about Gajeel?" Mira asked Levy. The little girl blushed fifty different shades of pink and red.

"He told me we were going together," Levy said, looking anywhere but her friends.

"Lisanna?" Mira asked.

"We still need to talk to Kyo," Levy said.

"Then let's look for dresses!" Mira said cheerfully.

"Wait!" Erza said. "What about you and Laxus?"

"Thats not important," Mira said. Everyone glared at her. "Okay! I asked him to go with me! He is just too thick-skulled to admit anything." She puffed out her cheeks and crossed her arms. The girls rolled their eyes and searched for dresses.

Lucy found the perfect dress. It was lavender. The dress was strapless. The top part was tight and sparkly. At her natural waste, the fabric puffed out slightly. Tiny gray hearts were printed on the fabric. The hem of the dress landed about five inches above her knee. She picked out a pair of black heels to go with it. With the heals on, she would barely reach Gray's nose. She normally only reached his shoulders.

"You look perfect!" Mira gushed. Lucy smiled and twirled around in her dress. She was just hoping Gray would like it.

"Come on, let me see it," Gray whined, hugging Lucy around the waist.

"No way! You have to wait!" Lucy yelled, trying to push him away. She was attempting to guard her closed door, but it seemed like Gray was winning.

"It's only seven, so I have all the time in the world," he said. "I'll get you to show me eventually."

"You will," she said. "Just in a week!" She pushed him away and moved so her back was against her door.

"It's too bad Layla isn't able to help me," he sighed. Layla was teaching Wendy's class downstairs.

"She'll be done in an hour, but then has to teach you. I'll have the dress hidden by then." She stuck her tongue out at him.

"Come on, Luce." He rested his elbows on either side of her face. "I really want to see."

"I really want you not see."

"You're just staying that. You know you want to show me. You're just dying to know my opinion. It's written all over your face."

She bit her lip and looked away. He hit the nail right on the head.

"And now you are going to let me see, right?" He had a smirk plastered on his face.

"I don't think so." She returned his smirk. "I refuse to let you see it. My room is a Gray-free zone until after the dance."

"Gray-free? Really? Isn't that a childish move? Wendy doesn't even do that anymore." She shrugged. "I have a little bet for you."

"And what would that be?"

"We are not allowed to talk to or touch each other in any way before the dance. If you crack first, I get to see your dress."

"Fine, but if you crack first, you have to be my personal slave for a whole day."

"Sounds good to me."

"So when will this little bet start?" Lucy asked.

"How about on Sunday? The dance will be Friday, so we will have a full week," Gray suggested.

"Perfect," she said with a smile.

"So that means I only have tonight and tomorrow to be with you, right?" he asked. She nodded. "Well I better make the most of my time." He closed the gap between them with a kiss. She put her arms around his neck and kissed him back.

How would they last a week without each other?
