Lucy yawned and rubbed her eyes as she walked down the stairs. She threw on a pair of short gym shorts wore whatever shirt Gray had on the bathroom floor when she woke up. She was really tired, but it was almost eleven in the morning, so she figured she should get up.
When she got to the bottom of the stairs, she could hear people laughing. She assumed she was the last to wake up. She walked into the living room to see Ur and Regina sitting and talking. Ultear, Lyon, and Wendy were probably the ones downstairs. Shawn wasn't there, so she assumed he was cooking breakfast, because she could smell eggs and bacon. She sat down on the couch and yawned.
"You're still tired?" Ur asked. She was sitting beside Lucy, so she wrapped and arm around her shoulder and moved her so she was leaning against her.
"Yeah," Lucy said, snuggling closer to Ur. She could remember sitting like that with Layla when her parents were still together.
"You could have slept in more. You are on vacation, after all," Ur laughed.
"I wouldn't have been able to sleep anyways since Gray wasn't there." Lucy looked up and realized that Gray wasn't in the room either.
"How do you sleep usually?" Regina snapped. "He obviously isn't there every night. You shouldn't even be sharing a room together as it is."
"I'll sleep wherever the hell I want," Lucy snapped, sitting up, completely removing herself from Ur. The latter just sighed, seeing where the conversation was going.
"Such language," Regina scoffed. "Do you kiss your mother with that mouth?"
"I don't even hug my mother, so no," Lucy snapped once again.
"I thought you were rude, but to not hug your own mother?" Regina tsked.
"You don't know a damn thing about my relationship with my mother," Lucy hissed.
"Again with the cursing! Ur, how do you allow Gray to date such a pathetic excuse for a woman?" Regina asked, glaring at Lucy.
Lucy snapped. She stood up so fast Ur swore she felt a breeze. Old person or not, she was going to hit Regina. That woman was nothing like Ciel's grandma. She was about to lunge at Regina, but something held her back. She turned around and saw Gray holding her arms.
"Let me go," she hissed. She was just itching to wipe that smirk from Regina's face.
"I can't let you hit someone," Gray said, holding her a little tighter when she struggled.
"Then look away," she suggested.
"So she's a fighter now, too?" Regina asked. "My, my, what a fuse."
"Shut the hell up!" Lucy yelled on the verge of tears.
"Mom, maybe we should go check on the kids," Ur suggested, standing up. Regina followed her out of the room, but not before tsking at Lucy one last time.
Gray sighed and let Lucy go. She sat back on the couch and let out a shaky breath. He sat down beside her. "What did she say?" he asked.
"She asked how Ur could let you date such a pathetic excuse for a woman," she said, leaning her head on his shoulder. He put his arm around her out of instinct. She realized he wasn't wearing a shirt.
"Well Gramps likes you," Gray said assuringly. "We were talking about you in the kitchen."
"What did he say?" Lucy asked, tracing circles on her leg.
"He said you're beautiful and charming. A bit of a handful, but he said anything you don't have to work for isn't worth your time."
"At least one member of your family likes me," she said sadly. She was so excited to meet his family, and it was already a disaster.
"Just you wait into you meet Dad's family," he laughed. He kissed the top of her head. "If you want, we can eat breakfast before everyone else. Then you don't have to sit with Grandma."
"Yeah, lets do that," she said. She stood up and grabbed his hand, letting him lead her to the kitchen.

"Look at this one!" Lucy said, holding up a seashell. She smiled and dropped it in the bucket Gray was carrying. After breakfast, they decided to walk along the beach. They really were the only house for miles. They've been walking for a while, and they haven't seen another house.
Gray smiled as he watched Lucy look at seashells on the sand. If she found one she liked, which surprisingly wasn't that many, she would put it in the bucket. He was just glad that she was smiling. She wasn't having much fun around Regina.
"A conch!" Lucy called out in pure amazement. She picked it up and smiled wider than before. She held it up to he ear to listen for the ocean. She really could hear the ocean like everyone says. She walked over to Gray and put it up to his ear.
"That's cool," he said. He put his hand over her's to keep the shell there. She blushed slightly. He loved how doing something simple like that could make her blush. He could kiss her until her face turned purple, but she wouldn't blush. But if he does something little like that, she turns like a tomato. He never realized that the little things really did count until he met Lucy.
"Is it okay that we ran off by ourselves?" Lucy asked worriedly. They really did just run off.
"I don't really care," he said with a smirk. "We have a whole summer to do things with them. Besides, the whole family isn't here anyways, so we wouldn't be doing family stuff yet."
"As long as its okay," she let her voice trail off. She did not want to cause more problems.
"Did you ever have a kiss on the beach?" he asked. She blushed and shook her head. He just dropped everything and cupped her face in his hands. He wasn't wearing a shirt, so she put her fingers in the belt loops of his shorts and pulled him closer.
"You dropped my shells," she said, puffing out her cheeks.
"I'll pick them up later," he said before kissing her.

"Where were you?" Regina asked angrily, crossing her arms. She glared at the two teens in front of her. "You do realize its seven at night, right?"
"We just went for a walk," Lucy mumbled.
"A seven hour walk," Regina repeated.
"We have seashells to prove it," Lucy said, pointing to the bucket in Gray's hands. He smiled weakly and held the bucket up.
"Oh no! Wendy fell!" Ultear blurted out. Regina ran outside without a second thought. "So what really happened?"
"We really did go for a walk," Gray began to explain. "We just sat down for a bit and fell asleep."
"So at what point did you guys make-out?" Lyon asked from one of the couches. He was flipping through TV channels.
"Before we sat down."
"Before we walked home."
Gray and Lucy blushed, realizing they answered an embarrassing question at the same time with two different answers.
"Damn," Lyon laughed. "How did you two survive a week apart in February?"
"Shut up," Gray said, throwing a pillow at Lyon.
"While you two fight this out, I'm going to steal Lucy," Ultear stated.

"Hi, Lucy," Wendy said. She was sitting on the top bunk, drawing in a notebook. There was a bunk bed and a full sized bed in the room.
"Hey," Lucy said back, sitting on the bottom bunk. Ultear sat on her bed, which was the free standing one. "So what did you want to talk about?" She could almost laugh at the fact that Ultear said Wendy fell, so Regina ran outside. Wendy was in her room the whole time.
"I just wanted to make sure you were okay," Ultear said. "I know Grandma is being mean to you."
"I barely notice," Lucy lied.
"That's good to here," Ultear said with a smile. Lucy smiled back.
"We should go play on the beach!" Wendy suggested.
"That sounds fun," Ultear said. "Should we invite the boys?"
"No way!" Wendy laughed. "They'll just ruin the fun!"
"You wouldn't think that if Mystogen was here," Lucy said with a smirk.
Ultear decided to play along. "Didn't you hear?" she asked. "Jellal and Mystogen are coming down."
"What?!" Wendy shrieked. She blushed ten shades of red.
"You guys better not be killing my niece," came a deep voice, the door opening.
So there's your special bonus chapter. I hope you all think Regina is a bitch, because that was the plan. It seems like the chapters are going fast, to me at least. I hope you all don't think that. There's just a lot of talking.
Now, if you read Meister and Reaper, just know that I will not be updating that today. I actually haven't written the fourth chapter. I got a couple nasty comments, and I want to be able to correct what they rudely complained about. Just know that I'll work on that and try to get it up soon.
