"Wait, I'm not ready!" Lucy shrieked.

"Of course you are!" Renji exclaimed. He slammed on the gas, making the boat speed forward. Renji took all the kids out water skiing for the day. It's been about two weeks since they've been on vacation. Regina still hates Lucy, and Shawn just likes her more.

"I'm going to fall!" Lucy yelled as loud as she could. Her ears were pounding, and she could barely hear herself speak.

"You're fine!" Ultear called. Lucy barely heard her.

"No, I'm going to fall!" Lucy yelled. She was having trouble keeping her balance. She knew for a fact she was going to fall.

And not five seconds later, her feet fell out from under her. The momentum drew her forward. She screamed and let the rope go. She fell into the water face first. She opened her eyes under water. She could see every inch of the ocean floor. She felt her chest burn and tried to swim back to the surface, but the water was too deep. She ended up taking a breath.

"Lucy!" Gray yelled. Everyone watched in horror as she fell from her skies. He immediately jumped in the water, along with Gin and Lyon. Renji would have went, but he was driving the boat. Wendy started crying, and Ultear was speechless.

The three boys swam through the water, trying to find the blonde. They were very thankful for the clear water. Lyon eventually found Lucy. He grabbed her shoulders and swam to the surface, gasping for breath. She was nearly laying on the ocean floor, so he had to swim pretty far down.

"Get her on the boat," Renji ordered. Gray and Gin were already back at the surface, seeing Lyon found her. Ultear helped pull Lucy onto the boat.

"She isn't breathing," Ultear said, trying to listen for Lucy'a breathes. Gray and Gin hopped back onto the boat. "She probably has water in her lungs."

"And you kids aren't required to learn CPR in school anymore," Renji laughed. He motioned for Ultear to take the wheel. They quickly swapped places. He checked for breathing one last time before starting the thirty chest compressions. He gave her two rescue breaths, then started again. When he was on the next set of breathes, Lucy coughed up water.

The blonde squinted her eyes a few times before opening them. Her whole face turned red. She couldn't believe she drowned and was given CPR by none other than Gray's hot uncle.

"Let's get back to the house," Renji said. He swapped places with Ultear once again before driving back to the dock.

"Damn, Luce, don't scare me like that," Gray said, hugging her, pulling her onto his lap in the process.

Lucy coughed. "I told you I would fall," she half-laughed. She ended up coughing a few more times

"I'm so suing the life jacket company," Ultear pouted, crossing her arms. Lyon rolled his eyes. Wendy giggled.

When they all reached the dock, Lyon and Gin tied the boat. Wendy ran towards the house, crying again. Gray picked Lucy up like a baby and carried her back, Renji close behind. Ultear waited for Gin and Lyon.

"Mommy!" Wendy cried, running into the house. She jumped into Ur's lap, who was sitting on one of the couches. "Lucy almost died!"

"What?" Ur gasped. She stood up and looked to the door. Gray came through carrying Lucy, both soaking wet. They clearly didn't dry off score coming inside. Lucy was asleep. "What happened?"

"She cannot water ski," Gray laughed. "I'm just going to take her upstairs. She'll probably want to change and dry off." Ur watched him walk upstairs. She sighed and slumped back into her seat.

"Gray?" Lucy mumbled, rubbing her eyes with the back of her hand. She sat up and looked around. She was back in their room. She remembered falling in the water, but the rest was a blur. She looked down at herself and saw that she was just wrapped in a towel.

"Oh, you woke up," Gray said, opening the door to the room. He sat a cup on the table beside the bed. "I thought you might want something hot to drink, so I brought you up some coffee."

"Thanks," she said, picking the cup up. She took a drink. Warmth filled her body. She sighed in delight. She was quite cold, even though it was blazing hot outside.

"Mom is still freaking out," he sighed, laying on the bed beside her. He folded his arms behind his head.

"I almost drowned, right?" she asked. She took another sip of her drink.

"You would have if Renji didn't know CPR," Gray said.

Lucy set her cup down. She pulled her legs to her chest and buried her face. "I ruined all you guys' day," she said sadly.

"Of course not," he said, trying to cheer her up. She shook her head. "Babe, don't be all sad." He pulled her to his side and hugged her. She blushed at the pet-name.

"Lunch is-" Regina stopped speaking when she opened the door fully. Gray seemed unfazed while Lucy blushed. "Why is Lucy only wearing a towel? And who took her swimming suit off?"

"Well," Gray started, scratching the back of his head.

"You inappropriate pig!"

"Wait, Grandma!" Gray yelled, putting his hands up. Regina started throwing things at Gray.

Regina may not hit Gray with brooms, but man, can she whip a shirt.

After Regina finished scolding Gray, the three went downstairs for dinner. Ur was watching Wendy help Shawn cook. Ultear, Gin, Renji, and Lyon were playing cards in the living room.

"Lucy!" Wendy shouted excitedly. Everyone turned to look. Lucy blushed at the attention and looked at the floor. She had changed into gym shorts and a tank top, so she was no longer wearing a towel.

"Oh, Sweetie," Ur said. He ran over and hugged Lucy. "I'm so glad you're okay."

"Yeah, I'm fine," Lucy laughed, pulling away from Ur's death grip.

"Ur Renee!" Regina shouted. Everyone else, aside from Shawn, snickered at the use of Ur's middle name. "What exactly have you been teaching your children?!"

Ur sighed. "What happened?" she asked.

"Your son," Regina said, shooting Gray a glare. He just rolled his eyes. "He changed Lucy from her swimsuit and into a towel! Then they were laying together in a bed! Not to mention they share a room!"

"It's not a big deal," Gray mumbled under his breath. Lucy giggled. Regina shot another glare.

"It's so disgraceful! He's seen her naked! That's awful!" Regina exclaimed.

"Actually," Lyon laughed. Ultear smacked him on the head. He put his hands up in defeat and shut up.

"Mom, they're fine," Ur sighed. "They are almost adults. I see no harm in them sleeping in the same bed."

"But-"

"Hello!" came a female voice from downstairs. Three sets of feet ran up the stairs. When they came into view, everyone saw a woman with shoulder length black hair, a boy with messy black hair on her hip, and a man with brown hair beside her.

"Amy!"

"Ur!"

The two women ran forward and hugged each other. The small boy between them was pulled away by his father before he was squished.

"I missed you!" both woman shouted in unison. "No way! I missed you more! Stop copying me!" Both woman started laughing.

"Let's see," Amy said, letting Ur go. She looked over to the living room. She smiled when she saw Ultear and Lyon. "You guys have barely changed since summer. That's a relief!" She looked to Wendy in the kitchen. "But you grew!" Wendy laughed and jumped into her aunt's arms.

"I missed you Aunt Amy!" Wendy said. "Gray did, too!"

"Gray, where is he?" Amy asked, setting Wendy down. She looked behind her and smiled at Gray. "Oh my, I thought you were Renji!"

"Hey," Gray laughed, hugging Amy. Lucy felt slightly jealous. She understood that this woman was his aunt, but she was no older than thirty, looking Ultear's age.

"Okay, break it up," the man laughed. Gray bumped fists with him.

"Hey, Drew," Gray said. "Don't worry, I'm not stealing her."

"Up!"

Everyone looked down to the boy. He was standing in front of Lucy. He was reaching up towards her. She blushed and looked at Gray. The two-year-old wanted her to hold him. Gray smiled and nodded. She nervously picked the boy up. He laughed and wound his arms around her neck. He wrapped both legs around her waist and rested his head on her chest.

"Hei really likes you," Gray laughed. He walked beside Lucy and ruffled the boy's hair. He looked to Drew and Amy. "This is Lucy Heartfilia, my girlfriend. Luce, this is my aunt and uncle, Amy and Drew Vastia. And this is their boy, Hei."

"It's nice to meet you," Amy said, resting a hand on her stomach. Lucy noticed that she was pregnant.

"You ungrateful brats!" came another voice from downstairs. "You just left us! We rode together for a reason!"From the stairs came two older people. The woman was the one speaking.

"Sorry," Amy laughed. "I guess we were excited."

"No excuse!" the woman snapped. "I want a boy!" Gray, Lyon, and Gin scrambled to get in front of the woman. She looked the three down. "Oh, Gray!" she exclaimed, hugging his face.

"Grandma, you're suffocating him!" Wendy yelled, running over to her grandmother.

"Oops," the woman let Gray go.

"Sakura!" Regina said happily.

"Regina!" the old woman, Sakura, shouted back in both hugged each other.

"Haru," Shawn said, shaking the man's hand. Haru just nodded.

Ur and Renji's parents were actually friends and have been since they were little.

"You're family is a little scary," Lucy laughed, setting Hei back on the ground. He ran over to Drew.

"They're very outgoing," Gray sighed. "You just have to get used to it, I guess." He put an arm around her shoulder and kissed her forehead. She smiled and hugged his waist.

"Please tell me this is it," she said into his shoulder. Luckily, that was it. He had no more family.

"Are you feeling better?" he asked, remembering that she did drown earlier.

"I'm a little tired," she mumbled.

"I see you got a girlfriend."

Gray and Lucy both jumped. Sakura's face was right in front of Lucy's.

"Y-yeah," Gray stuttered, trying to calm his beating heart. He didn't know why that scared him so much. He should have been used to her popping up out of nowhere.

"Well let me look!" Sakura exclaimed. She pulled Lucy from Gray and started looking at her. She spun her around a few times, looking at different angles. "She's pretty. I bet you have lots of fun, huh?" Sakura nudged Gray with her elbow. Lucy and Gray both blushed. She just laughed and went t pick on Ultear.

"I feel like this vacation just got a lot longer," Lucy sighed.

Gray just smiled at Lucy. He was so glad that he met her. He really wondered what would have happened if his father never died. He probably wouldn't have joined Layla's class. He may have met Lucy at school, but he really met her in Layla's class. He got to see beyond her attitude and see the real her. And when he watched her smiling and laughing, he was glad he was given the chance to meet such a wonderful girl.

Someone told him that something was coming to an end. Not the world, exactly. Just the summer. There would be other summers, but there would never be one like this. Ever again.

That last sentence was an anonymous quote I got from Google, by the way. I just thought that it seemed fitting. So this is the last chapter of this little arc, if you want to call it that. I'm going to have flashbacks to the summer in later chapters, though.

So I've been thinking about the prize for the 300th reviewer. I was tossing a few ideas around, and I want to know what you all think.

1) The person gets to read the next chapter early. (But then I thought that that person would just have to wait longer for the next chapter after that, so that may not be a good idea.)

2) This person gets to pick the next story I write. (I have a whole list of ideas of stories to write.)

3) The person gets the next story dedicated to them.

So I figured 2 and 3 can even go together. That would make sense, really. So let me know what you all think! I can even do all of them, if you really want.
