It was during the years of 1842 and 1846 when Damon and Stefan Salvatore, Elena Gilbert and Caroline Forbes were born.
Their parents were Guiesspe and Rachel Salvatore, Jonothan and Victoria Gilbert, and Nathan and Charlotte Forbes.
All there families were amoung the founding families of their cozy little town, Mystic Falls.
~Flashback-1846~
The Gilberts were visiting the Salvatore Family with their baby daughter, Elena at the Salvatore Boarding House.
The Salvatores 4 year old son, Damon hated it when his baby brother Stefan cried. It disturbed his playing. However, when it was baby Elena crying, little Damon dropped everything and rushed to her aid to make her smile again.

Over the years the four children all grew to be great friends, yet out of the of four, Elena and Damon grew to be the closest.
Guiesspe and Jonothan would joke amoung their wives saying someday the two would marry. However, the ladies disagreed but they secertly knew that someday their children would become husband and wife.
***Skipping to 1864***
It was a warm spring day. Today was the day that the Gilbert and Salvatore families would be united.
Damon and Elena were getting married.
However, they would soon run into trouble.
