"I'm just really worried," Lucy said, hugging her knees tighter than necessary. She felt all her air leave her lungs, meaning she squeezed her stomach too tightly, so she let go of her knees completely.
"You don't need him, anyways," Erza said. "I can't believe he would just disappear like this, though."
"It's definitely unlike him," Natsu said. He folded his arms behind his head and leaned back in his seat. "That dumbass is always doing things he shouldn't."
"I guess you're-" Lucy stopped talking as she doubled over. A gasp left her lips. Erza and Natsu fell to her side, asking what was wrong rather vehemently. "I think I'm-" She let out another gasp. An indescribable feeling was in the pit of her stomach.
"I'll go call your mom!" Erza quickly said. She scrambled to get her phone, ready to start calling.
"We better get you to the hospital," Natsu said, helping Lucy to her feet. He started walking her out the door to his car, Erza behind them. She was just telling Layla what was happening over the phone.
"Give me my phone," Lucy said as she was pushed into the passenger seat. She tried calling Gray, but he didn't answer. After two more calls and three texts, she decided that he wasn't going to answer at all.
"Laxus and Mira are taking the next flight out," Erza said, putting her phone back into her pocket. "I called Ur and Layla and texted everyone else. They're all going to try to call Gray, too."
"Dammit!" Natsu cursed as he caught the third red light within five minutes. "Let me call the fucker!" He grabbed his phone and called Gray as fast as he could.

Gray's eyes widened. Get to the hospital? That just screamed Lucy. He hung up the phone without saying another word. He was too shocked to even move. Why now of all times?!
"Gray, what's wrong?" Renji asked, noticing the look on his nephew's face. He heard that Natsu was yelling on the other line, but he couldn't quite tell what he was saying.
"Hospital...now...fuck!" Gray yelled, gripping his hair. His mid was swirling too much to form a proper sentence.
Luckily, Renji understood. "Calm down, Gray." He helped the young man to his feet and started leading him out the door. Kyle didn't need to be told to be followed.
For two hours, Kyle and Renji were just trying to keep Gray from hyperventilating. Kyle had no clue what Gray was freaking out about, but it was clear the latter didn't want the former's help. He kept saying this like "I'm not ready for this" and "why now?" If he was in the fetal position he would be golden. Ripping out his hair seemed to be enough for him, at the moment.
"We haven't even picked out a name!" Gray suddenly yelled, throwing his hands in the air. "What if she doesn't get one?!"
"Whoa, whoa, whoa!" Kyla said, his eyes wide. "Name? What exactly is going on!"
Renji laughed. "Gray knocked a girl up."

When the three got to the hospital, Gray was turned into a punching bag. All his friends were hitting him, yelling about disappearing at the wrong time. Sting, Rogue, and Yukino were even there. Laxus and Mira were to be there in a couple hours.
"I can't believe you would be so immature to just run off!" Ur yelled, shooting daggers at Gray. "If I had half a mind I would beat you senseless!" She turned to Renji, who was to the right of Gray. "And you!" she roared. "I would have never guessed that you were hiding him!" She didn't even think to ask where Gin was. If it really meant anything, he was at a friend's house for the night. Ur didn't care or ask. She just went to look at the person next to Renji to yell at him next, but was majorly surprised to see who it was. She took a step back and rubbed her eyes. "Huh?" came her oh-so-intelligent resonance.
"Ur," Kyle sighed, a sad smile on his lips. He was torn between hugging her or just staying where he was.
"Gray!" Wendy yelled, running up to her brother. She jumped up and wrapped her legs around his waist, holding him by the neck. "Lucy's baby is coming! She said I can hold her third. You two get to hold her first, of course." The smile on her face was too sweet and innocent. She looked over to Renji and smiled, then looked at Kyle. "Daddy?" she asked, blinking a few more times than necessary. "Daddy!"
Wendy went to run over to Kyle, but Gray picked her up. Ur shot a glare to Kyle like she never sent before. "I can't believe you would show your face here!" she snapped. "I thought it would be clear that I wouldn't want to see you. I don't care what Renji told you. You don't abandon your family like that. I will never let you near my children, let alone my granddaughter. You best be on your way before you end up as a patient here rather than a visitor."
"You knew he was alive?" Gray asked in disbelief. He was told that only Renji knew.
"Of course," Ur said, rolling her eyes. "When I first went to visit his grave, I called to make sure I knew where it was. They said that no body was buried, but a gravestone was put up. I figured out the rest."
"Gray, you should be back with Lucy," Ultear said, putting a hand on the man's shoulder. "I know this is hard for you- it is for all of us- but it has to wait. She really needs you now."
Gray clenched his fists. He knew Ultear was right, but he felt like he should be there for his family. But Lucy was his family now. He nodded and went to have a nurse take him to his girlfriend.
Meanwhile, Ur was enraged. She grabbed Kyle roughly by the arm and led him into the bathroom. It was the women's room, but it was only one stall, so it wasn't like anyone else would be in there. She locked the door and threw him against the wall. "I can't believe you!" she yelled. She was glad that she didn't have to do this in front of her kids. "How could you just leave your family like that! I'm well aware that Renji threatened you, but that doesn't mean that you can-"
Ur was shocked to feel lips pressed to hers. How long had it been? She really did miss him so much. It wasn't very hard for you to melt into a pile of goop, falling in love with him all over again.

"This is her room, sir," the nurse said. She bowed before going back down the hall to attend to other business.
Gray took a deep breath before opening the door. A doctor and a few nurses where inside, talking and filling out paperwork. One nurse was checking Lucy's vitals by hooking her up to a machine. Gray almost laughed when he saw her heartbeat come up as she met his gaze. He stepped farther inside, closing the door.
"You must be Gray, correct?" the doctor said, reaching out to shake his hand. "I'm doctor Simon. It's a good thing you came." He laughed. "Lucy wouldn't shut up about wanting to see you."
Gray just laughed and brushed past him. A chair was nearby, so he moved it closer to Lucy. He sat down and smiled. "Hey, Luce." He tired to sound cool and casual, but his voice was shaky and nervous. She smiled and grabbed his hand.
"Where were you? You just disappeared." The hurt was clear in her eyes, but he could also see delight. She must have been nervous, not knowing if he would show up and when.
"I ran into someone." Gray squeezed her hand. "We aren't getting along at the moment, but I still can't wait for you to meet him." He leaned forward so he could kiss her forehead. "And Lucy?" She hummed in response. "Do we even have a name?"
"I think I have one," she said with a smile. "I was thinking-" She was interrupted by her own cry, gripping her stomach.
"The baby is coming!" Doctor Simon said, quickly ordering the nurses into action.
"Don't leave," Lucy said, gripping Gray's hand so tightly her nails dug into his skin.
"I don't know where else I'd rather be," Gray said with a smile.
