AN- Hey everyone it's me again! :D How's everyone doing? I've been pretty great and I hope you guys are too.
So like, I went to the Homecoming dance at my school. Funny because this chapter talks about the Homecoming dance, ha.
Well, idk what else to say so I guess I'll close this author's note now.

Enjoy~

Chapter 10-

Everyone is making a big deal about Homecoming, it makes me want to stab myself in the eyes with a butcher's knife. The whole campus is covered with posters reminding us to buy tickets and vote for king and queen. Almost every teacher asks if we're going and the morning announcements love to brag about how "fun" it is going to be.

And the worst part about this whole thing are the girls.

Do you know how many girls have come up to me asked if I'm going to the dance?
Tons!

Do you know what's the worst part?
Telling them yes and breaking their hearts by mentioning that I am going with someone already.

I can't just tell Antonio that I don't want to go with him and that I'm taking a girl instead. That's pretty fucked up.
Besides, that bastard is paying for my ticket. If I take a girl then I have to pay for two tickets. That's ten bucks down the drain!

Now here comes the awkward part, lunch. You'll see what I mean.

-Lunch Time-

"But why won't you go with me?"

"Like I said before, Roderich is taking me."

"That snobby a-hole!? Come on Eliza, you can do better!"

"Exactly why I didn't choose you."

You know, seeing Gilbert get rejected in the middle of the cafeteria is actually funny. Sad thing is, he got rejected by some hot girl with a sweet accent, so I am in no mood for laughing.

Francis and Antonio appear in no mood for laughter either, even though those two laugh for any little reason. They give Gilbert a few smiles as he makes his way to the table. As I head to the table, I can hear the conversation.

"Hey don't feel bad amigo."

Francis gives a slight nod, "Antonio is right mon amie. Do not let her get to you. There are plenty of fish in the sea."

Feliciano, Matthew, Ludwig, and Kiku are no where in sight. That means I have to sit with these bastards by myself!
Biting my tongue, I walk to the table and take my seat.

Antonio's eyes grow with excitement as soon as he sees me. Gilbert and Francis on the other hand, exchange mischievous grins.

Our table is silent. What, no flirting with me? No stupid comments about being "awesome"?
I do not like this silence. Where the hell is Matthew?

"So Francis, who are you taking to Homecoming?" Antonio breaks the silence.

We all stare at Frenchie, waiting for him to answer.

The perverted bastard throws a lock of hair off his shoulder and winks at no one in particular. "Moi? Oh, I am taking the beautiful Angelique."

"Dude," Gilbert says. "Isn't she your cousin?"

My eyeballs widen. Cousins!? Did he just say cousins? Mio Dio, that's gross!

Francis chuckles, "And? She agreed to come with me so there's nothing to worry about."

"Except for the fact that she's your cousin." I mutter under my breath.

Antonio must of heard me because he giggles, and that giggling catches Gilbert's attention. "What about you 'Tonio?"

"Hm?" The idiot stops giggling. "What about me?"

Great, I know what Gilbert is asking. Antonio makes one mistake and he can forget about the dance!

"Who are you taking to the dance?"

I bite my bottom lip and keep my eyes on my lunch. Dammit Antonio, I swear if you say my name I'll rip your fucking throat out! If Francis and Gilbert find out that Antonio is taking me, I'll never hear the end of it.
Is he staring at me? If he is then I'll fuc-

"No one," he answers in a plain tone. "Haven't asked anyone yet."

I release my breath, which I didn't even notice I was holding in. So the bastard used the 'I haven't asked anyone' excuse.

"Oh why not?" Francis questions. He takes a sip from his water bottle and flashes me a smile.
With my middle finger, I flip him off and turn my attention back on Antonio.

Antonio merely shrugs, "Don't know."

I seriously doubted Antonio could pull this off. I'm surprised he's even good at lying. Didn't think he had it in him.

"And what about you Lovino?" Before I can say anything, Gilbert throws his arm around my shoulder.

A trail of shivers run down my back and my chest rumbles from a growl I hold inside. "Get your fucking arm off of me!" I yell while baring my teeth at the Albino. He hesitates at first, but in the end Gilbert removes his arm. "I'm not going to the dance."

The Bad Touch Trio all wear different expressions.

"Couldn't get a date, could ya?" chuckles Gilbert.

I glare at the jerk and almost spit on him. "What!? I can get any girl I want!" My face begins to heat up, I can feel the warmness over my cheeks.

"Oh really?" He says. "Then go ask a girl out."

I stare at Gilbert.
People say you can see someone's soul by looking into their eyes. Yeah well, Gilbert must not have a soul because I see nothing.

"Heellooo," sings Gilbert.

"What!?"

The Albino scratches his head, "I don't have all day. Go ask a girl out."

That's when I realize he's not kidding. He really wants me to ask a girl to the dance.
If looks could kill...

I stand up from my seat, take a deep breath, and turn around.

"Wait!" The tomato bastard (yes, tomato) jumps out of his seat and grips the edge of the table as if can't stand on his own. "Gil don't make him. If Lovino doesn't want to then he doesn't have to!"

Francis looks up at Antonio and I notice a sudden change in his blue eyes.

There is no way I'm about to let Gilbert win. "Whatever." And so I kept walking.

I understand why Antonio tried to stop me. If I ask a girl to the dance and she says 'yes' then we'd been stuck in some deep shit.

Looking around the cafeteria, I search for a girl, any girl, that I can ask. And not too far away, there is a group of girls standing in a circle.

I approach the girls and let them talk a bit until I decide to clear my throat. The five girls stop their chit-chat and gawk at me.
Great, who do I ask? I can't ask all five girls, they'd kill me!
So to make things easier, I ask the first girl that looks me in the eyes.

"May I speak with you?"
The girl before me widens her blue eyes and turns towards her friends. The four other girls giggle and wave to their friend as they walk off.

Alright Lovino, swoop this girl off her feet! Wait... No!

"Would you like to go to the Homecoming Dance with me?" I push the bangs out of my eyes with my left hand and force on a smile.

The girl's eyes soften, a pink blush dusting her cheeks. "Oh um, I'm sorry. I have a boyfriend." She begins to play with the hem of her skirt. "Sorry.."

"No that's okay, really."

We look away from each other, for some reason neither of us can manage to move.

"May I ask what your name is?"

She brings her face up and parts her lips. "It's Kairi, Kairi Namikawa."

I nod and prepare to leave when, "And your name?"

"Lovino Vargas."

Kairi gasps, covering her mouth with her hands.

Stupid last name. "See you around Kairi."

She hesitates at first, but then she smiles. Kairi turns the other way and runs back to her group of friends, her auburn hair flying to the side.

I sign, and head back to the table, ignoring the looks the Bad Touch trio give me. They all want answers.

Rolling my eyes I say, "She was taken."

Gilbert laughs, Francis shakes his head, and Antonio hums.

AN- Welp. I don't know what to say guys.

The girl Kairi is not an OC but actually one of the characters from the video game Kingdom Hearts. I just made up her last name and yeah. I thought it would be nice to throw that in there.

Homecoming dances aren't that bad. I enjoyed the one that was held at my school. Don't be afraid to try new things guys, you might just enjoy it.

Don't forget to review loves. I'll update soon, so please don't give up on me. Until next time :)
