I heard voices around me. But they were faint, as if I was underwater. I felt hot tears rain down my cheeks as I saw before me: My best friend, Aron. I knew what Akuma were...mindless killing machines. Aron didn't deserve a fate like this; to serve the Earl and kill people. Was it even Aron still? Who was this Akuma that took his life?
I broke out of my thoughts as a hand was placed on my shoulder. I turned to see Tyki.
"Who is this? Who is in that body!" I yelled, turning to face Lord Millennium.
He let out a small chuckle before answering, "That is Aron, my dear. I believe you know him from the orphanage?"
"H-how?" I couldn't help but stutter. You could hardly breathe.
"He thought you were dead, Alya. So, I paid him a visit and promised him that he would see you again if he worked for me." He smirked widely, "He gladly agreed."
"..." I stared wide eyed at the Earl, speechless.
"No need to thank me. Think of it as a gift."
"Aron..." I whispered as I looked back at the expressionless Akuma, 'I'm so sorry.'
I couldn't understand my feelings anymore. I was both furious and depressed. I glared daggers at the Earl, 'This was all his fault..." clenching my fists I thought, "Innocence, activate."
In an instance, my body glowed a bright green and my arms turned into long sharp blades. I never felt so much energy before, it was as if nothing was holding me back anymore. I smirked, more blades shooting out of my skin in an even alignment. I jumped up onto the table and pounced at the Earl. My mind not thinking straight, I hadn't noticed that none of the other Noah were concerned, nor did the Earl move a muscle. Right before I was to hit the Earl, an Akuma jumped in front of me, but not just any Akuma...
...Aron...
My long blade made contact with his body, going straight through his chest. My eyes widened in horror, "Aron?"
"A-ly-a..." I heard him whisper.
His voice...more tears went down my cheek as I pulled his form into a tight hug.
"No! Aron, don't leave me!"
The last thing I saw was a small smile spread across his face before a loud blast went off.
"Never Forget..." I whispered softly.

Allen sat in his room, laying down on the soft sheets of his bed. He stared up at the ceiling silently, thinking to himself. 'Why can't I remember? I know something happened!' He groaned as he sat up and looked down at his wrapped up arm, "How..? Things just aren't making any sense!" He held his head and leaned back against the hard surface of the wall, 'I remember...' His vision flashed as he saw a dark shadow running down a hallway. "Someone was there with me...but who?"
His thoughts were interrupted with a knock at the door. He stared for a moment before getting up and opening the door.
"Hey, Allen." Came a sweet voice, "I brought you some coffee; are you feeling any better?"
He looked at the green haired girl with a confused expression, "Uhh... yeah, thanks" he said as he accepted the mug.
Lenalee looked at him for a moment as if trying to figure something out, "I heard your mission didn't go so well."
Allen nodded.
"Lavi and I are going to go grab some lunch, want to come with? I'm sure you're awfully hungry after all that traveling."
He paused, "No. I'm good." 'Why is she being so friendly to me?'
"Oh." She looked a bit disappointed, "Anyway, I'll see you later." She said while waving.
Allen didn't say a word as he closed the door and returned to pondering his own thoughts; over and over again...

Alya was now back in her room, the previous events replaying in her mind. She killed the one person who was always there for her. Aron, the name ringing in her head. How could she have done this? Did the Earl know that it would happen? She felt so lost; so...alone.
She cried for what seemed like days, until finally, there were no more tears to shed. She lay in the corner of her room, clutching a soft pillow tightly to her chest. She felt her body shake, her breaths short and uneven.
'Alya~' came a voice.
"Leave me alone, Kyoki..." She whispered aloud as she hugged the pillow tighter, "I-I don't want to talk to anyone right now."
'Hmph...then listen. Listen carefully, Alya. Aron's death was not caused by you, but rather the innocence within your blood. You see why we Noah strive to rid of the world of Innocence? It's because Innocence gives people false hope. The Exorcist, however, believe that Innocence will stop us and bring peace to the world.' A laugh echoed through Alya's head, 'but they're wrong, Innocence will be destroyed and the Earl will take matters into his own hands.'
Alya sat silently for awhile, "Will the Innocence within me ever be destroyed?"
'I'm not certain. Lord Millennium would have to make that decision.'
"I see..."
'Ah and one more thing. See that ring on your finger?'
Alya glanced at her pale hand to see a mysterious ring there. How long has that been there?
'Yeah?'
'Remove it.'
'Why, what is it?'
'It keeps me locked up...remove it.'
Alya paused for a moment, thinking, 'You know I don't think I will.'
'What?!'
'I hate it when you take control of my body. I wake up and I can't remember what happened before. So, no. I'll be in control of my own body, thank you.'
'Alya! You had your share! It's my turn.'
She stayed silent and smiled slightly, 'You're in my control now, madness...'

That feeling of regret
When time passes
And you realize
You've let the wrong person go
