Author's note: so Ava and Jill aren't necessary the best of friends. This chapter should get interesting…if all goes well… Here's chapter 16 of, "Los Angeles and Lost Loves" I don't own A&A.

Ava's POV

"Ava Moon, Jill Mason, why did Tara call you 2 down here?" The principle, Ms. Andrews said.

"Cuz Jill was being mean to me!" I say in defense.

"She threaten to punch me." Jill said.

"She's been making fun of my reading ever since the first day of school. I was just tired of letting it go. I needed to stand up for myself." I say.

"I see. Jill, go back to class. Ava and I need to have a little talk. I will call you back now in a few minutes, Jill." Ms. Andrews said.

"Am I in trouble? Please, don't call my dad. I did nothing wrong." I say.

"You're not in trouble, Ava. But, Tara has been telling me these past few weeks that you've been having some trouble with reading. Your mom told us that she taught you how to read when you were around 3 and were pretty good at it. Am I wrong?" Ms. Andrews said.

"When my mom taught me, I was good. But now, I can barely read the letters right and everything just looks like alphabet soup. It's so frustrating." I say finally letting the truth out.

"How are you with math? Any trouble mixing up the numbers?" Ms. Andrews said.

"No, I'm the best in my class according to Tara herself." I say.

"I'm going to call your dad. You are not in trouble. I just need you guys to see the school counselor, Ashley. I'll call you down when I'm done with Jill." Ms. Andrews said.

"Why do I need to see Ashley?" I say.

"Because learning disorders need to be dealt with before they get out of hand." Ms. Andrews said.

"You think I have a learning disorder?" I say.

"Go back to class, Ava. Ashley will explain more." Ms. Andrews said.

I go out of the office. I see Jill walking down. She doesn't look mad. When we pass each other, she avoids me. I'm happy about that. I did nothing wrong. I find my classroom. When I open the door, everyone looks at me.

"Take you seat, Ava. We aware just about to start coloring what we feel. Sydney will explain more." Tara said.

"Thanks." I say.

I sit next to my best friend in the whole world, "How was it?" Sydney asks.

"Not bad, I didn't get in trouble. But I have a feeling that Jill will. Ms. Andrews looked mad at her." I say.

"So, we are supposed to be drawing how we feel towards anyone." Sydney said.

"Thanks, Syd. What are you going to be drawing?" I say.

"How my dad feels towards my mom." Sydney said, "They've been fighting a lot. I wish they weren't. What about you?"

"Same. My dad LOVES my mom so much. He just made a stupid mistake. I want them to get back together. They're Austin and Ally." I say.

I get out my coloring book. I rip out a red piece of paper. Red is my mom's favorite color. I find my black pen. I don't want any mistakes to be erased but crossed out.

"And done." I say. I show Sydney.

"Ava, that's amazing." Sydney said.

"Thanks, Syd. What about yours?" Sydney shows me her drawing. It has black nothingness around a big red heart. They're love is masked by they're fighting.

"Ava, Ms. Andrews wants to see you." Tara said. I make my way down to Ms. Andrews's office. I don't like this walk.

"Ava, come in. Your father is her." My dad waves.

"Daddy." He gives me a nice hug. His hugs are the best.

"Ashley will see you." A girl about 28 comes out. She has wavy brown hair and green eyes. Looks a bit like my mom.

"Comes here, Ava and Mr. Moon." Ashley said.

"Please, it's Austin." Dad said.

"Okay, Austin. Take a seat." Ashley said. I sit in the purple bean bag. Dad sits in the chair that's next to me, "Ava, tell me about your reading." I dreaded this question.

"Well, when I was 3, my mom taught me to read. She had nothing else to do. Being in Virginia isn't exactly the best in the winter. I was an okay reader. Wasn't the best. I was only 3. I didn't really read much when my parents were reunited. I couldn't. I was too busy getting to know my dad. I didn't really know him. I didn't know him at all until I was 4. In a month, I'll be 5. This school is for gifted kids that want to become or prefect there music skills. Tara has been going a very good job at that. But when it comes to reading, I struggle. The words are all jumbled up. It just looks like alphabet soup. I mix up the words and say words that aren't even there. I just can't handle it anymore." I say.

"What about math?" Ashley said.

"I'm the best in my class." I say.

"Austin, I think your daughter is suffering from a mild case of dyslexia. Do you know about dyslexia?" Ashley said.

"A little bit. I know that it can effect math, reading, and sometimes writing skills." Dad said.

"You are right, Austin." Ashley said, "I know this is weird, but has Ava been in a serious accident lately?"

"Actually, she has. Back in February. She was in a coma for a week. But it only affected her memory."

"Maybe it also affected her reading." Ashley said. "The exact origin is unknown. Anyway, since Ava is so young, we can cure this. She will have to work super hard. And I mean, like reading EVERYTHING. It's a good way to help her. Every day from 9-10, her class does reading. During that time, Ava will come to my office to work on reading and even some writing skills. You hear that, Ava?" Ashley said.

"Yes. Will this help my dyslexia?" I ask.

"I'm not 100% sure that it's necessary, dyslexia. However, tomorrow at 1:30, I will have a specialist in dyslexia exam Ava. Would you like to be there too, Austin?" Ashley said.

"That would be good. What about Ava's mom?" Dad said.

"That would be good too." Ashley said, "Thank you for your time. See you tomorrow, Ava." Ashley said.

"Tomorrow." I say, "By, dad, I love you."

"Love you too, Ava. Have fun in class." Dad said.

"I'll try." I say.

"I know you will." Dad said. I head back to class. I don't want to tell Sydney or anyone about me possibly having dyslexia. It could ruin me.

Ally's POV

"This is too cute." Aidan is attempting to roll. I have to get a picture of this. My phone starts to ring. It's Austin, "Hello?"

"Ally, thank god you picked up. Ava possibly has dyslexia. Tomorrow at 1, a specialist will come in and exam her. Will you be there?" Austin said.

"I just can't leave Anna and the twins."

"Ally, this is your only daughter. The one you raised since you were 16, ALONE. Please. Your daughter. No, our daughter could have a serious learning disorder. Please, Ally, please."

"Okay, I'll be there. Bye."

"Bye"

My only daughter could have dyslexia. How did this happen? I guess I'll find out tomorrow.

So that was the chapter. I hope you guys liked it. Give me some names for Cassidy and Liam's kid. Both genders. So, Ava could be suffering from a serious learning disorder. I don't know much about dyslexia so don't kill me with a spoon if I get something wrong. Don't ask about the spoon. Review it up.
