Author's note: so normally I update this story on Tuesdays. HOWEVER I'm going to start updating it on Monday's because a certain weirdo doesn't go on her phone while watching YouTube videos. "Meeting You Again" will be moved to Tuesdays. Last chapter was short but I had fun writing it. Here's chapter 17 of, "Los Angeles and Lost Loves" I don't own A&A.

Ava's POV

Me and mom talked yesterday, she said that she was coming. I really need her. I need her more than dad does. And I thought that was impossible. It's 1:25. It's almost time for my exam thing. What if I do have dyslexia? This can affect my life forever. My mom once said that everything happens for a reason. And I believe that.

"Ava, Ms. Andrews wants to see you." Tara said.

"Thank you. Bye, Sydney." I say.

"Good luck." Sydney said. I walk past Jill. She snickers at me. I just ignore her. I make my way to the office. I see my dad. Not my mom...

"Ava." Dad said.

"What is it." I say.

"I have a surprise." Dad said.

My mom walks out from behind him, "MOMMY!" I missed her so much.

"Ava, I've missed you." Mom said.

"I have too. It's weird without you and Aidan. Like something is missing from my life." I say.

"Anna got you something." Mom gives me a box. I open it. It's a silver necklace that says, "Ava" in cursive.

"It's so pretty." I say.

"I knew you would love it." Anna said.

"ANNA!" I say. I jump into my aunt's arms. Still not used to it.

"Ava. And yes, Cali and Cameron are doing well." Anna said.

"Why are you here?" I say.

"Your mom told me about your problem. Since I helped raise you it only seemed right to be here." Anna said.

"Dr. Jessica Bell is waiting for you." Ms. Andrews said. We go into the office. Dr. Bell is very pretty with long blonde hair and blue eyes.

"I'm Dr. Jessica Bell. And you must be Ava." Dr. Bell said.

"Yes I am." I say.

"Tell me a little bit about yourself." Dr. Bell said.

"I was born on November 14th, 2013. My mom had me when she was 17. I was living in Virginia with her and Anna until I was 4. The day after my 4th birthday, I met my dad. When I was in Virginia, my mom taught me how to read. During the winter months, we would prefect my reading. After I met my dad and moved to Miami, I didn't really read. Shortly after my parents got engaged. It was Christmas Day. They also told me later that I was going to have a little sibling. In February, I was in a car accident. I was in a coma for a week. I forgot everything. I started remember everything ending with my dad. Before that happened, I was told that Anna was my aunt. I had no idea and neither did my mom. Anna didn't tell her that she was my dad's sister until we were in Miami. In July my parents had a son, my little brother, Aidan Ross. I was so happy. On September 4th, Anna and her boyfriend, Jason has twins. Cali Misty and Cameron Michael. They're in Miami. In April I got accepted into this school. Shortly after, my whole family moved to Los Angeles. My parents reunited with an old friend from there past. Her name is Cassidy Ryder and her daughter, Sydney Ryder, is in the school. Sydney quickly become my best friend. When my mom was in Miami helping Anna, Cassidy and my dad kissed. It was a mistake. He didn't mean for it to happen and he wishes to do the whole day over. My mom found out from Cassidy's husband, Liam. She wasn't mad at the kiss. She was mad at the fact that my dad didn't tell her. He was going to but she wouldn't give him a chance. My mom came back and got Aidan. I was so sad and mad at her. I didn't understand. She broke off the engagement and was off to Miami with Aidan. Again, mad and sad. So that's who I am. Ava Nicole Moon" I say.

"Wow, that's a lot in 4, almost 5, years." Dr. Bell said.

"But it's the truth. Every part of it." I say.

"So, your speech is perfectly fine. In fact it's better than an average 5 year olds. I know you're not 5 but, you're almost." Dr. Bell said.

"What about my reading?" I say.

"We'll get to that. Now, on to some simple math question. 1+1?" Dr. Bell said.

"2" (Ava is answering these math problems IMMEDIATELY after Dr. Bell gives them)

"2+1"

"3"

"4+4"

"8"

"3+7"

"10"

"2+4"

"6"

"8+12"

"20"

"Wow, Ava. That's impressive. According to Tara, you are the best in her class. Am I wrong?" Dr. Bell said.

"No. Not at all." I say.

"Okay. I'm going to give you a short paragraph to read. Will you read it, Ava?" Dr. Bell said.

"Not very well, but okay." I say, "Once there cuz (was) a tea (tree). And she lucked (loved) like (little) boy. And any (every) bay (day) the boy wow (would) come.

And he wow (would) grace (gather) her selves (leaves). And make cem (them) into cows (crowns) and play kind (king) of the forecast (forest).

He would comb (climb) up her truck (trunk). And sing (swing) from her benches (braches). And when he was tired. He

would step (sleep) in her cave (shade)." (don't own THE GIVING TREE)

"Ava, I'm going to have to run these results. What it seems like, you have dyslexia." Dr. Bell said.

Claws: DUN DUN DUNNN. So Ava has dyslexia. Give me names for Cassidy and Liam's kid. Sorry for the shortness. See you next Monday.
