DAY TWO ; 1:30 P.M.

Sonia Nevermind took a quick break for lunch. The bulletproof vest was hot, almost overwhelmingly so – she thought that she'd sweated more in the last three hours than she had in her entire life beforehand. She wasn't quite sure how Ishimaru had managed it.

She wasn't very far from Ishimaru's body. Her map put her at somewhere within D9 – she would have to be careful, because if she went North any farther she would be almost surrounded by danger zones – and had managed to find some shelter. She had heard some gunshots earlier. She hoped that the people involved had died. All of them – that would make it easier for her. She was in survival mode, even moreso than she had been at the beginning of the game. There would be absolutely no hope for a peaceful ending to this, so she would have to pull out all of the stops.

She finished her meal and rolled her shoulders back. She stretched them out and took inventory. She had the katana, the bulletproof vest, and a tracker that she'd found back at the warehouse. Her crossbow, and a decent amount of water. It was enough, though she was out of food. Though there couldn't be too many people left.

She checked the tracker. Two other dots moving. One coming west from B10, and one slowly making its way east. If she played her cards right, they would run into each other and she could simply finish off the loser.

It wasn't likely to work, that plan. But it could. It could work, and it was a better plan than rushing in to meet them anyway.

She would go up there, however. She would get to… B9 was where they were likely to meet… early, and then she would hide out with her crossbow and her katana and her bulletproof vest.

She nodded, packed everything up, and readied herself to walk into what had to be the final hour or two of The Program.

3 STUDENTS REMAINING

Not much is going to be happening in this set of chapters – a bit of a breather before everything starts up? Then everything will start up.
