DAY TWO ; 1:30 P.M.
After walking out of the scene where the person he'd cared about more than anyone in the world had died, Fuyuhiko Kuzuryuu had stopped. He'd found himself simply unable to continue. Unable to keep walking. That had been about fifteen minutes ago, and at this point he had simply given up. He was sitting now, his back against a larger rock and his head tipped back. His eye ached something fierce, but it was covered now. That was about all he could do.
And, anyway, he could handle the pain. It wasn't like it was anything really bad – okay, it was. He was pretty sure he'd lose most, if not all, of his sight in that eye… but was that really bad? An eyepatch would make him look a hell of a lot tougher. It had to. There had to be some silver lining to this.
Except there wasn't. This entire thing was bullshit. The entire thing. There wasn't a silver lining, because it was life. It was life, and Peko was dead, and he was going to be half-blind for the rest of his life, which could be shorter than he liked. He had no doubt in his abilities. He knew that he could do this. He could beat whoever was left – thinking back to the announcement at noon, that made Sonia Nevermind and Byakuya Togami, and while he would have preferred other people, he thought that Togami would be easy pickings, maybe… easier than the military princess, at least – and then he could go home.
It would be so weird. Without Peko there, at his side. With Peko lying crumpled and broken so many feet below him, next to Asahina. If they'd gone after others… if they'd sought out others and killed them instead of keeping to themselves, would it have worked out better? Would Peko be alive right now?
Would he want Peko to be alive right now, knowing that once everyone else was dead she would kill herself?
He'd been the one to drop her. He'd dropped her. The thought filled him with so much despair that he had to get up. And keep walking, because he couldn't do anything else. He couldn't just sit there, at least, and there was nowhere to go but west. Go back east, the bodies. Go north, ocean or danger zone, and go south, danger zone.
So west it was.
And then he would kill the everloving fuck out of Togami and Nevermind, and go home, and then come back and absolutely fucking murder everyone who had anything to do with this shitty Program.
3 STUDENTS REMAINING
Alright! Next time they'll all meet up. So that should be a lot of fun.
