By the time his other wounds were healed, Fuyuhiko Kuzuryuu had hearing back in his right ear and had a hearing aid in the left. Even then he couldn't hear everything out of that ear all of the time, but it was better than his eye. He wore a black eyepatch over it. They'd taken it out when fixing him.
And now he was ready to kill the bastards.
Novoselic had declared war on Japan. Nobody quite knew what the Togami Corporation was up to, as they had holed up in France whilst deciding what to do about the murder of their heir. Fans of people such as Junko Enoshima and Sayaka Maizono were protesting in such numbers that even with the government silencing them, they were overwhelming everything. Oowada's motorcycle gang tore through the streets at all hours of the night, breaking things and shouting and protesting their leader's death. There was talk that Fenrir was coming, and baseball players around the country were throwing down their bats.
Kuzuryuu had come into contact with a man named Hajime Mimura. A lower-level rebel, but one that was still useful. Mimura had said that he might be taken out soon enough, but that, if Kuzuryuu would be careful, he had a nephew that could help. The way that Mimura had said it made Kuzuryuu wonder why in the hell he was mentioning a nephew if he didn't want him involved.
They had plans to take control of a bus that was said to be taking the next group of Program kids. The Kuzuryuu Family and rebels like Mimura had already mounted attacks on higher government buildings, and the anger at such 'symbols of hope' being murdered only escalated the damage.
It was chaos, complete and utter chaos – strangely enough, Kuzuryuu thought of Junko Enoshima – but it was what those bastards deserved. For killing Peko.
But even if Peko was the one that he cared about, he felt angry at them for killing the others, too. Hajime Hinata, Gundam Tanaka, hell, even Kazuichi Souda. Nagito Komaeda, if he really his soft side show. They'd killed them all, and now they were paying for it.
And it was the best fucking thing that Fuyuhiko Kuzuryuu had ever seen.
And then the kids from Battle Royale never had to go through The Program and they all lived THE END.
Also, it was really fun doing this, because I had this massive spreadsheet where I had everyone and their given weapon and who they killed and everything and I crossed them out when they died and then I kept my BR book next to me so that I could look at the map but I also had one on the computer that I could edit and black out the danger zones it was so much fun.
