With a growing sense of irritation Shimada ordered the crew to bring the craft into motion. "This has been going on for far too long, bring us close enough to begin the attack! I want these terrorist dealt with and brough to justice at once!" He had already received the report from the men up front; their enemy was well dug in and was not giving up.
He let out vehement curse as even the elements of the JGSDF were starting to express their doubts about this operation, already he had considered in shooting them and just put the blame on others. This operation would continue one way or another, the people they were fighting could not be allowed to escape the area. Under no circumstance would he permit a general retreat. He would rather have them executed where they stood for disobeying a direct order. It would not be tolerated.
"We are in range commander, powering up the vector generators! Vector generation is stable! Projector one is ready to be utilized for non locomotion purpose sir." The crew were working frantically to keep everything within the established parameters, much like them Shimada was impressed by the vehicle. Evene then it remained a tedious job at keeping everything functioning, the complex systems it used to artificially create and control its vectors was still in essence an experimental trial and a lot ould go wrong.
"First target!" He pointed towards one of the wrecked IFV's lying on its side, blocking the approach towards the compound. "Use that and launch it at that building, they seem to be using that for cover! Fire!" He watched with interested as the IFV was picked up and like a children's toy thrown against the building, let those bastards see how they like the taste of that. He was going to enjoy this.
Functioning like a 27 ton projectile it tore apart the supports of the building when it crashed through the wall, the impact alone was already enough to shear off the entire front wall. He laughed as it came crushing down, he reveled in the power at his disposal, it was an intoxicating experience to him. Now he was going to show those terrorists and the diclonius the true power on how righteous mankind was.
"Target has been ehm flattened sir, vector output remains stable!" With a weapon like this there would be no chance for the diclonius deployed by the DRI, they would all be swept aside in one glorious onslaught of human technology, vectors were no longer the exclusive weaponry of the diclonius. Now it belonged to mankind and they would use it to crush all those who opposed them. "Move us in closer and tell the men to start advancing again, also inform the captain that if he questions my command again he will be demoted!"
The men nodded as his orders were relayed, the monitors started to display the men advancing. "Time to end this! I want those terrorist and traitors wiped out to the last-!" A violent blow sent the entire craft rocketing. Shimada lost his footing as he was slammed into a side panel. Men were flung from their seats as a second even heavier blow hit them hard.
"We got hit! I repeat we got hit!" Panels buckled as they were hit again. It almost felt felt the vehicle was going to topple due to the blow. They had been hit pretty bad.
"How is he doing, is he still breathing!?" Yuka cried as she stopped, they had been going as fast they could but with the current state of Kouta it was becoming more difficult. Every step only seemed to make things worse for himbut they had finally managed to get away from the house, a few of the soldiers had given chase to them but luckily Saeko had recovered enough that she was able to deal with them.
"I think he is fine but we really need to get him to lie down, we really need to find a safe place!" Mayu told her as she made a quick check, his breathing was still heavy and irregular while there was no response coming from him. "We really need to get him to the hospital! He is really looking to be in bad shaoe to me."
Yuka was well aware of that but she didn't know where she could go and ask for help; it was possible that the neighboring houses had already been cleared before those men had launched their assault on them. "We should try that house!" She pointed to one house where there was still light burning, if anything she hoped that somebody would be home.
Looking at the house to where she had been pointing at they all agreed and with that they went as fast as they could, Mayu did her best to support Nana as she had still not recovered enough from her injuries to whatever those things had done to her it must have been pretty bad to have her still feeling like this.
"Mayu don't worry about me." She gasped as she noticed the anxiety that was building up in her friend. "I will be fine so please go and help Nozomi-san with Kouta-san, they need the help more than I do." She would be fine in time as her body was better of healing injuries, unlike the others she would be fine if allowed to rest for a day.
"But Nana-san, I can't just leave you like this." Mayu couldn't just ignore how worried she was about her best friend, even with Kouta needing help she couldn't just leave her.
"Mayu-san, I will carry her." Saeko approached her. "Those bad people are gone, please you go and help the others. It might also better for me and Nana-san to stay out of sight, people might get scared if they see us."
Up ahead of the rest of the group Yuka had already knocked on the door, hoping that somebody would open she waited but already in her state it was taking to long for anybody to respond. "Please open the door, there is somebody who needs help! Please open the damn door!" There was no response.
"OPEN THIS GODDAMN DOOR PLEASE!? WE NEED HELP NOW! WE HAVE WOUNDED THAT NEED HELP!"
Finally with that outburst she could hear hurried sounds coming from within the house, seeing the door finally open she was all too quick to offer her thanks. She couldn't care about offering any apologies for being rude as right now all she cared about was the well being of both Kouta and her family. "Please we need to call an ambulance, he has been shot! Please hurry!"
Frightened and confused by all of the commotion the man simply nodded and hurried to pick the phone, the woman thankfully appeared to be less a in shock as she quickly helped Nozomi in getting Kouta down on the floor. Seeing him lying there and in such pain time seemed to grind to a stop for Yuka as she waited for the ambulance to show up, no longer able to cope with it anymore she broke down and cried.
Servo's strained as they sought to provide the strength required for what he was doing, right now it was likely foolish but they needed to quick answer. He had made it to tank surprisingly fast, apparently the crew inside were too keen on using their instruments rather than their eyes for locating their enemies. It was a foolish mistake that had quickly claimed their lives, their blood still staining the edge of his blade. Wrapping his arms around the barrel of the main gun he pulled for what it was worth, servo's groaned in response as they were being taxed.
Planting his foot down hard on the steel hull he fought hard to regain his stance, already the engine powering the turret was starting to protest and scream. The warspirit of his armor was howling in rage as well, part of being strained like this and part because it wanted above all to succeed. The armor was starting to reach its limit, with the damage it had suffered it was a hardly a surprise to him and he prayed that the warspirit would not yield.
With one final violent tug the turret broke free from its holdings in a shower of turn metal and sparks. With a roar that more befitting of an enraged demon he lifted it up like an oversized club, now he would deal with the other pest. He needed to move fast for if the crew of that craft became aware of him it would become a different game.
Charging towards it each of his footsteps sounded like approaching thunder, spinning on his axis he slammed the turret as he hard he could into the side of it. Despite its deceptive size the craft didn't appear to have the mass he thought it would have as it rocked violently under the first impact, swinging around again he delivered another hammering second followed quickly by a third blow against it. Smashing huge dents into the side one of the vector projectors on the side exploded as it overloaded in a shower of sparks.
"Commander! Projector two is down, I repeat projector two is down! The system is taking severe damage, it cannot take much more of this!" Warning lights and claxons were blaring throughout the crew compartment they had been hit hard. The vector craft had never been designed to withstand such a punishment, it's targets had been diclonius against which it could easily defend itself.
"Charge up the remaining projectors and bring us around! Take care of that rodent now! The remaining projectors went into overdrive as more energy was channelled into them, the crew working hard to generate the remaining vectors in order to fight back. They could not afford another direct hit like that, also if the warnings that were flashing were to believed the craft had taken multiple breaches in the hull. There was a tense moment of silence before a fourth strike nearly caused the craft to topple over. Men were slammed against the bulkheads as they were thrown out of their seats.
"Commander the vector cancellor, it is off-line permanently, projector one has suffered critical damage! It is out of order!"
Shimada spat as he wiped the blood from his face. "Contact craft two and tell them to provide back up this instant!" Unless they got support they were not going to make it for much longer. He wondered how long they would have before this craft would finally break or suffer a discharge.
"Number two reports their ETA is approximately thirty three seconds sir!" Good then that was for how long they would need to hold up, now they just needed to get the situation under control. "Bring us around! Lower this craft and utilize all vectors for combat!" He would be damned if he would be taking down by a bunch of terrorists helping those accursed diclonius, he would not allow that to go unpunished. He would see to it that every one of those trice-damned abominations would be put to the torch.
"For a pure and clean world." He hissed under his teeth. Inside he prayed that they were going to last for long enough for their help to arrive.
"Get him this man to operating room two at once!" One of the doctors was quick with issuing directions to the nurses. "Have everything prepared, possible damage to his lungs and heart! We need to operate on him immediately!" More directions were barked as more doctors and nurses flooded the stretcher upon which Kouta was lying, with great haste he was wheeled off at which point Yuka could no longer accompany him.
"I am sorry madam but this area is off limits." A doctor informed her." I will let one of the nurses inform you on how the operation has proceeded when it is done. I suggest you get yourself some rest for now." Yuka was really feeling worried but at the very least they had gotten Kouta and Nozomi to the hospital, now all that she and the others could do was to wait and pray for him.
Still recovering from the initial shock at what had happened as well as the exhaustion starting to get the better of her she shivered as the thought of losing Kouta again after all of these years, it was starting to become a frightening reality. She couldn't go through that again, she didn't want to have to endure losing him again. "If Kouta dies what reason is there for me to go on with my life?"
But she had to go on, for Mayu, Nana, Nozomi, Saeko and for Nyu as well. She had been crying ever since this whole mess started and even now when looking at most of the girls sitting there she couldn't stop crying, they were going to need her to pull them all through. She was going to need them as well if she wanted to get through this.
She needed to be strong for their sake as well; if she collapsed here then it would be even worse for them. "I need to be there for them, without me they won't have anybody else to turn to." Perhaps this had been how her mother had felt when her father had died. "Nana-chan and Saeko-chan are waiting outside, they don't want to upset people. I just hope they come inside soon, I still want them to be here in case… in case… in…case… Kouta..."
She couldn't bear the thought of that, she didn't want him to die, he couldn't die.
"Kouta… please… come… back… to… me… I… need… you." How much she wouldn't give right now to hear his voice again, to have him say that she was being a baka for worrying so much, to even have Nyu laughing at her for being such a crybaby. She would give anything to have them say that to her.
"Nyu-chan where are you… please be safe… and come back to us… I don't want to lose… you too." She could still see those men dying of front of her eyes and the cries of Nyu when it had happened, what had happened to her and why had her horns suddenly become so large. "... Please... I... beg... you...?"
She blamed herself for not having been able to do a thing, she was in fine physical shape and she even could handle herself well during self-defense class and despite all that she couldn't even lift a finger when it all went down. She felt so useless for not having been able to defend her family.
Nana, Saeko and even Wanta had fought back as best as they could. Hell even Kouta who had never been one for going to exercise had shown willing to fight back to protect those he loved and cared for, she felt so proud on how brave they had all been and yet it was for nothing. The girls had gotten hurt pretty bad and Kouta had been shot in the chest, she prayed for his health again.
And Nozomi, one of her best friends possible had her throat damaged, what if she could no longer sing or even speak because of the damage done to it, more guilt overcame her as it had all happened in her house. The very house she had actually meant to protect Nozomi and help her reach her dreams. Now it was all ruined, how was she ever going to face her again.
"Yuka-san." She looked up when Mayu called her out, standing there she had gotten them all something warm to drink. "Here I got this for you, you seemed like you could use it. May I ask what sensei said about Kouta-san? When can we expect to hear if he is going to be alright?"
Yuka sobbed as she grabbed the plastic mug. "Thank you Mayu-chan… I…I… I am really glad you and the others are here, I don't think I could handle this without your support."
"To be honest…" Mayu whispered. "I am worried about Nyu-san, do you think she will come back safely? I mean she went out against all of those mean people. Would she even know where to find us? Nobody has told her that we woul be at this hospital."
"I don't know Mayu-chan, I want to believe that she will be fine but who knows what they have done to her. I haven't even been able to reach Dai-san or Dreachon-san."
They looked at each other until Yuka made another painful question. "Have you heard anything about Nozomi-chan?" Didn't make her feel any better that Mayu could do little more than shaking her head. Nozomi herself was still undergoing operation to see what the damage had been to her throat.
The turret was sliced into pieces as the first vector went through it, well so much for that plan. He had come close to destroying it but now he would need a different approach. Well this was to be expected as with them now being aware of his presence it was only normal for them to defend themselves with everything at their disposal, he hadn't expected to take them head on.
With the damage his armor has sustained and the erosion of the hexagrammic wards he would not be able to survive getting hit by one of the vectors. Already he felt them searing his flesh, these vectors certainly would be far more powerful than those created by a mere silpelit.
It didn't matter, this unit had been dealt enough damage that its combat performance would be influenced by it, human technology was still weak. Not about to give up he moved in for another swing, it would likely be the last one he could get. As he swung it with all of his rage driven strength he could feel the craft given\ in, a huge gash had been torn in the side.
If he could just get in another blow like that then it would likely be finished though it all counted on the crew not anticipating his next moves. It had already completely its turn and no doubt they would be hell-bent on keeping him away from this thing, already from the cracks a familiar scent greeted him and he could tell what lied underneath the armored panels of this craft. How ironic that humans sought to recreate the very things they abhorred.
There wasn't much left of the turret after another swung, just the stubby remnants of the barrel, well that was hardly going to do it now. Discarding it he drew out his blade, as it started to crackle again with deadly energy coruscating across the length of it he got ready to move in for the kill. Now he just needed to get close enough.
There was a different bone crushing blow that just narrowly missed him, taking note it seemed there was now a second of this craft joining the fight. "Well that is problematic, this is becoming a bit more than a nuisance." He swung to the side hard as it attempted to flatten him, seeing its compatriot fighting seemed to bring out the first one as they now sought to bring their combined might down against him.
Dodging these extra vectors were starting to become harder, they proved to be more erratic than normal vectors. He was having trouble in predicting where they were going to hit next. As he lost his footing and fell he was at their mercy, he couldn't avoid the next blow.
Then the second one grabbed what remained of the tank's hull and swatted him like the nuisance he was.
His arms resting on his desk he watched as the assistant left the room. Already he had received the call he had been waiting for so long, Lucy had been secured and was even now being prepared for her transport back to the DRI. It was a message that was music to his ears, now after all this time she would finally be returned to where she rightfully belonged; at his mercy. "Finally the lebensborn project can begin, to finally set right the wrong that was done to us centuries ago. Mankind will now suffer their divine punishment."
To think it was finally coming to fruition after so much work and after such a long wait, he was finding it difficult to suppress his excitement. "Now Lucy you will fulfill you part in this, to oblige the destiny that you were meant to and become the eve of a new mankind, homo sapiens will finally be extinguished and a new purer race will take their place and transcend above their achievements. A race of pure and true diclonius."
Losses had been heavy but to him they were of no concern, any human that were to die was already one less vermin to deal with when the time came. Even the reported loss of Nousou did not concern him at all, his usefulness had ended already. They were nothing more than pawns in his grand plan, to be abused and sacrificed as he saw fit to do so. A pawn should feel honored if it 's sole existence was merely to attract the attention of the queen allowing her to be taken out of the game.
Even the clones were of no further use to him now, just as were those silpelits that still remained within the confines of the DRI. Perhaps now would be a good time to have them all exterminated, yes a full purge would cleanse the DRI of their disgusting presence. No further reason to allow any of those vermin to exist for any longer, they had all ceased to be of any further use to him so they would simply cease to exist.
There was no longer any need for any of them to even exist, all that remained now was for the final act to take place and then his own ascension to godhood would be guaranteed. He could no longer be stopped by anybody, his divine wrath would soon be unleashed upon this world and mankind would cease to exist. Any and all that would dare to oppose him would be swept aside in a tidal wave of divine retribution as he would lay his vengeance upon them.
"It is finally time, the moment that we the true humanity has been waiting for, for so long now we have been demonized by those not even worthy to be consider filth. I finally take my rightful place amongst the heavens and usher in a new era. The era of homo diclonius is about to begin. A new era that will ascend all of the true mankind to be above the heavens itself."
Still there were many things that remained to needed be taken care off, no personal was allowed to leave the DRI and all personal that had been on leave or otherwise was being recalled. He would not run the risk of anybody being allowed to give away that they had captured the queen. It was crucial that her capture and return to the institute remained a secret.
She was too precious to lose at a time like this; he had already stressed how much care was to be taken with her. The only one not recalled was Yamada as she had a more important task. As much as it would help to have her here to oversee the entire operation she had a far grander part to play on an as equally important assignment that could not be afforded to fail, there would be dire consequences if she did.
Soon the ship would be ready and then when the time came they would start with spreading the diclonius virus across all of Asia. There was no need to spread it across the globe, with such a huge population a country like China was far more ideal of a target that either of the western democracies. It did not matter if there would be retaliation; mankind would only in its foolishness wipe out each other. A war between Japan and China would just play into his hands as others would be consumed in the fires as well, all the while proving a good distraction to his plans to spread the virus even further.
Getting up from behind his desk he decided it upon himself to go and be there to welcome Lucy in person when she would wake up, a special holding room had been built just for her long ago. She would be allowed to recover in there before she would initiate lebensborn, after all the queen had be to in good shape to bear the offspring that would become the very foundation for the true mankind. "Soon it will all begin, soon the fate of the homo sapiens will be sealed forever. Lucy soon you will bring forth the prophesy we have been waiting for so long, you will give birth to a new mankind, a mankind of which I shall become god for all eternity."
Feeling like coughing his lungs out from all the dust Bando clambered up. As he looked to his right he noticed the massive slabs of concrete that had nearly crushed him underneath. Damn that had been a one close alright, having said that he had not managed to get away without a scratch. The right side of his face have been ravaged by the debris, bleeding from a dozen cuts and the prosthetic arm was ruined beyond repair, luckily for him there appeared to be no broken bones or fractures.
Clambering across the debris he took in the sight of the destruction, damn whatever it had been did more destruction than the tank, speaking of the tank why was it being silent for the moment. For that matter he was wondering how much time has actually passed since the building had almost come down on top of them.
Covering behind a toppled pillar sat Dai, from what he could tell he looked fine. "So Hirano..." He coughed as he cleared his lungs. "… Still alive you bastard?" The only thing he got back from Dai was a quick smile and the man's middle finger.
"Just shut up Bando, I am really not in the mood for this. Just help me get up, I think I may have twisted my ankle when I tried to get away from all of that coming down on top of us."
"… Tell me Hirano, have you seen that bastard Dreachon? I lost track of him when it got pretty intense." Wiping away some of the dust from his face his noticed that his glasses had been ruined, dropping them to the ground he took in what still remained standing.
Dai coughed again. "Last thing I saw… was him throwing a man through the windows. After that I lost sight of him as well. Man I could certainly use a drink right now."
Bando laughed as he heard that remark, he could certainly use it to flush away the dust. "So where is that bastard hiding now?" He laughed.
He stopped laughing as the answer to where Dreachon currently was, came crashing into the nearest building.
Rubble and slabs of concrete fell down and Bando had to do his best not to get hit by any of it, luckily the earlier shelling of the tank had destroyed already most of the windows so he had little to fear of falling glass but this place was really starting to become dangerous. The enemy fire which had remained silent for some time now suddenly intensified as bullets ripped through the air.
A burning sensation in his stomach brought him crashing to the ground, reaching out for it he already felt the warm of his blood, damn bastards had managed to hit. "Damn you!" He hissed as he tripped, lying there in the dirt he was getting fed up of playing it nice. Gazing over he saw movement coming through the flames, finally the bastards would stop being cowards and come face him again. "Come on you fucking cowards! I will take you all on if I have to! YOU FUCKING HEAR ME!? ALL OF YOU!"
As the smoke started to part he finally saw what was coming for them, strange egg shaped craft that appeared to be hovering in the air. No it wasn't hovering as he could see them, he saw the same strange arms that those horned girls had well. "Well that is just fucking great!" Everything about these craft brought a feeling of disgust over him, to think that would people would stoop so low as employ those diseased ridden hands for their own twisted purposes. He spat.
Dai leaned next to him. "Any idea what those are?" He pointed at the two approaching craft. "I don't have seen anything like. What exactly are they?'
"Oh I know what they are, nothing but fucking trouble for us!" This fight was far from over.
Mayu kept staring at the clock mounted on the wall, much to her discomfort it seemed that some time had already passed and still they had heard nothing on how either Kouta or Nozomi was doing. She kept on praying for their recovery and for Nyu to make it back safely. What had happened to her family had been a terrible event, she hoped that the people responsible for it would be brought before trial.
What a terrible night it had become, Yuka, her adopted mother was on the verge of a mental breakdown. Nyu was still missing after she had gone out to buy them time and both Nana and Saeko were waiting outside out of sight to prevent more people from getting scared or to attract the attention of other bad people who might be after them. She really wanted for them to come inside and be here as well; given the heavy snowfall that was still going on she imagined that it must be cold outside.
Looking down on the mug she was holding she knew that they would like to have something warm to drink as well, maybe she could go outside and offer them a hot drink of their own. Yes that sounded like a good thing to do and it would also allow her to see how they were doing. Right now she needed to know that some of her family were doing alright, she just needed to know that.
As she made her way other to get some extra drinks she stopped to listen as she could hear Yuka on the phone, it seemed like she was talking to her mother. What would her mother have to say about what had happened at the house that she had given to her daughter? She wondered what Yuka's mother was going to say when she would find out what had caused this all, how was she going to react when she learned of the horned girls?
Grabbing a tray to store the drinks she moved on, whatever Yuka had to say to her mother was her decision, she would respect that and she was also convinced that no matter what Yuka would not turn against the girls. In many ways she admired Yuka for her strength and willingness to help others. That said would she be willing to stand up to her own mother for what she believed in? Did she possess the strength to do so?
Thinking about it all she nearly forgot what she had actually come for, searching, she finally found the machine and she went quickly to work to have some mugs filled for her friends outside. Maybe she would also go and see if she could find anything that would help cover their horns, a simple hat or a cap would already suffice. It didn't have to be all that much, just something that would allow them to come inside.
"Mayu." Nana cried with delight as she saw her exiting the building. "Mayu how are you doing? How is Kouta-san and Nozomi-san?" Much like her, Saeko was just as anxious about finding out how the others were doing. "Are they alright? Tell us how they are doing? Will they be alright?"
"I-I can't say, we haven't heard anything yet, Kouta-san has been rushed to the operating room. They are still busy with him; I still believe that he is going to be alright." Mayu mentioned though she was a bit hesitant about saying that last bit but then how would either of them react to the chance being real that Kouta could possibly die from his injuries. No it would be better not to tell them at this time; they had already enough to worry about.
"How are the two of you doing? You took some nasty blows back then?" Mayu asked, changing the subject and hopefully also enabling her to take her own mind off from worrying about Kouta's future. Then again both of them had also had to suffer though it was still far better than what he was going through.
Nana gave out a little smile. "We are fine, our wounds recover quickly you know." There was a moment of an uneasy silence. "Because we are different from all of you. I think that by tomorrow all of our injuries will be gone, we should be fine then."
Saeko sighed at hearing that. "It is about the only good thing that we have, all the rest that makes us different from other people just seems to cause us nothing but trouble. You are lucky Mayu-chan. Not having to worry about hiding yourself from other people just because you have these." She pointed at their horns.
"Oh before I forget, I brought you two something warm to drink. You must be freezing staying outside in this kind of weather, I would much more prefer if you could come inside with me. At the very least you should come inside to get yourselves warmed up, you can't stay out here for the rest of the night."
Nana and Saeko looked at each other, it seemed they had already discussed this as well between the two of them. "Mayu, we would like to but we can't, for your own safety. If people were to notice us and contacted the police then everything could start anew, we don't want to be responsible for that."
Mayu was surprised. "I-I don't understand, those people are gone. There is no reason for you to be out here."
Saeko stepped forward to answer her. "It is complicated to explain but in short it is too dangerous for you all to stay near us, people will find out that a horned girl, one of us, killed so many people."
Mayu was shocked to hear them say such a thing, it was true but neither Nana nor Saeko had been responsible for that. "But neither of you did that, you know that as do we."
"We know that Mayu." Nana remarked as she took a quick sip of the warm drink. "But other people won't see it like that I'm afraid."
She understood that, they were likely right as well. "Can I ask the two of you for a small favor then, I need to go somewhere for a moment but I don't want to leave Yuka-san all on her own. Could the two of you stay with her just until I get back?"
They seemed reluctant but for her sake they would, taking her hand Saeko gave her their answer. "We will Mayu-san but people will notice us quickly."
Mayu smiled as she showed something that she had been hiding underneath her jacket. "I got these from on my way out, you can use them to hide your horns. I promise I won't be gone for too long." She had taken a pair of hats with on her on the way to the exit, they did belong to other people and although she felt guilty about having taken them this was much more important.
Nana gave her one last hug. "Please be safe Mayu, don't let anything bad happen to you. I don't want to lose you as well. Please Mayu?" Letting go of her with reluctance they watched with depressed eyes as she left, they didn't liked it for her to go off on her own but there was little they could do about it for now. "Let's go see how Yuka-san is doing." Nana mentioned as they stepped into the hospital.
Another building came crashing down as Dai dove for the nearest piece of cover, damn those craft were making a real mess of the place alright and their presence seemed to give the remaining troops the motivation to continue with their attack again. They were coming in full force this time, without some heavy firepower they were not going to be able to deal with the craft. The soldiers would be easy but not when they had those machines supporting them.
A noise alerted him to somebody's presence, turning around rapidly he felt relieved to see that it was Bando coming back from having inspected the collapsed building right before those craft appeared. "Well did you find anything?"
He nodded. "Found the bastard there, he is alive but he is buried underneath the rubble. Going to need your help if we want to get him out from underneath it, how is the situation?"
Dai coughed at hearing that question. "You know damn well that the situation is pretty messed up. We can deal with the soldiers but those things are a whole different story."
Bando began to smile. "I know just what we need to take care of those things but first we need to pull him out from underneath all that rubble. After that we are going to have some fun." Seeing that grin on his face already made Dai worried, Bando was getting back into the zone so to speak. Still if that is what it would take then so be it. Desperate times would call for desperate measures and this certainly was a desperate time.
Getting a tap on his shoulder he followed him, doing his best to evade being detected and thereby being fire at they quickly made it to the building. What he saw there was a sight for his sore eyes, Dreachon lying there all pinned down by rubble and nothing he could do to get free. "I do certainly like you a lot better this way." He cracked a smile as he said that, oh how much satisfaction he was taking from this alright.
"I find your sense of humor to be most inappropriate. I am in need of some assistance." As much as both Bando and Dai wanted to just leave him there, they were going to need his help in this. Looking up as a violent shaking took a hold of the building they screamed as it came tumbling down upon them. "FUCK THIS SHIT! WE NEED TO GET OUT NOW!" But it was too late.
