LXI
Gefangenschaft
The clacking of his heels could be heard echoing throughout the room, for the time being he was alone in here with her, the prize for which he had risk so much and invested countless resources.
As she was held into place by the locks his chest swelled with pride at the mere sight of her, here before him was the ultimate reward for taking the ultimate risk, a chance to finish off with those who had wronged his kind, who had turned them into monsters and drove them to extinction.
"In the end." He paused as he took in the sight of her body, yes it was indeed perfect for the holy task at hand, her role was going to be a glorious one. "You were brought back to me, it was after all divine guidance that led us to recover you." After so much trouble there she finally was, ready to fulfill her part in his grand scheme. Now lebensborn could start for real and mankind's fate would be sealed.
A soft groan alerted him that the queen was finally starting to wake up, good, he was anxious to talk to her and inform her of her royal duties.
Dazed she looked around. "… This… place… where am… I?" Taking a deep sigh she finally opened her eyes, what she saw was a man staring back at her as she looked down in horror to see her naked body. "... No please stop... this is so embarrassing..." She moaned as she closed her eyes again, as if not wanting to see him. "Please let me go back to everyone…"
"Letting you go? Do not be so foolish. After all the effort I have put into recovering you? " Bemused he asked her; clearly she wasn't aware on how valuable she was to him. "Letting you go is the last thing on my mind, you have a far grander role to play. Without you there is no chance of getting the revenge our species has longed for all this time."
Inspecting her body once more he was pleased with what he saw. "It seems that the body to bear our offspring is finally ready. Finally, now the moment that will be the culmination of our revenge is upon us." He took in the sight of her crying. "The time to fulfill the lebensborn project has come."
Waiting for her to calm down and to understand her current situation he wondered how willing she would be, was she even aware of who she was and what her true role had been all along. Finally as she started to calm down enough he started with his explanation of everything that had transpired, surely if she knew who she truly was she would be more willing to coöperate with him.
"We have been expecting you Lucy, beneath this island for over a thousand years, the remnants of our once glorious race. So many years have gone by, awaiting for your rise, for you to return and fulfill your destiny."
With tears in her eyes she had no idea of what this man was even talking about, why was she here and what was he talking about? Nyu wanted nothing more than to go home to wards her family and Kouta. "… Expecting me… I don't understand... please... you must...?" The man opposing her said nothing and remained silent, why wouldn't he answer her. "What am I, why am I like this, am I really a murderer responsible for the deaths of so many? Have I…?"
"We, no." He stopped at that. "You have to know the tragic past of my, no our race…" He pulled off his hair; it was nothing more than a wig hiding something. With surprise she saw that he had horns as well, three of them lined his head. With that he started to explain the tragic history of their common ancestors, how they were hunted to the point of extinction, all of mankind's cruelty to a different sentient species. "These horns are the symbol of power bequeathed once to our race. The power our race once wielded was equal to that of god, to cut down a mountain or split apart the clouds. But as they kept breeding with humans, generation after generation. Our powers started to grow weaker and eventually faded."
Nyu didn't know, she didn't know anything about this and as she kept listening to his mad ravings her desire to leave this place was only growing stronger. Whatever this man was saying she did not want to be a part of it, all she wanted was to go home. To her family. To Kouta.
"The only thing left now are the horns on our foreheads, none of the great powers that once graced our race remained. Our ancestors were far less human in their resemblance but because of that they were detested and driven from their home." And there he began again with explaining more of their ancestors past, how the humans mercilessly drove them to extinction, how the precious few remaining survivors fled the mainland and had to take their refuge on a small deserted island.
His arms spread out wide. "It is here that we began to pray for our messiah, the pure born one who bears the long lost divine powers of our ancestors. In order to regain our former might and our rightful place in this world! To unleash grudge of a thousand year upon the humans and to have our vengeance!" His arms rose with each word he said.
Nyu was becoming scared of him, none of this sounded right to her. None of what he said made any sense to her. "… What are you talking about, I don't understand… why...?"
"WHY!?" His voice boomed throughout the chamber. "EVERYTHING HAS BEEN DONE FOR YOUR SAKE AND YOUR SAKE ALONE! AND YOU DARE TO EVEN ASK MY WHY!? ARE YOU TRULY THIS NAIVE OF YOUR OWN DESTINY!?"
She was getting terrified now, this man was going to hurt her, she could feel it. She wanted to cry for help but with the forlorn understanding that it would not help her she just whimpered.
"Lucy." There was that ugly name again, why did people keep calling her like that, that wasn't her name. Everything about that name made her recoil in fear, it stung her ears, it made her want to scream.
"Do you know for how long we have been waiting for your deliverance into this world, for your coming? For over a thousand years, for the sake of vengeance towards the humans and regaining control of our birth grounds and the world we have kept on living in secret."
No it didn't make any sense, why did he keep repeating such strange things, why was he tormenting her with this, she wanted to go and see Kouta. She needed to know if he was alright.
"Now, we finally have you back in our possession. The one born with the pure blood of a divine being and unspeakable powers to lead us to reclaim our former glory. You are the one that our clan has been waiting for, for over a thousand years we have waited for you."
This was insane, she didn't want to hear any more of this, she just wanted for him to leave.
"… I… I don't possess that kind of power… you have the wrong person..." She cried, tears running down her cheeks, she had nothing special about her other than her horns. There was no unspeakable power that she could use, this man was confusing her with somebody else. He simply had to be.
"Indeed, this side of your split personality does not hold any power. It is a useless vessel that serves no purpose. It should be discarded. Your other side however does most certainly possess the power I mentioned before." Seeing as he folded his hands behind his back she wondered what was going to come next. "Allow me to answer the question you asked me at the begging, the one on if you are a murderer or not."
Waiting for him to scrape he throat she held her breath.
"Your true personality is that of a killer! Unconsciously you have are responsible for the deaths of hundreds if not thousands of people!"
She couldn't hold back the flood of tears that erupted as he said that, how was it possible, she had never been able to harm anybody. "…I-I… can't… I can't take this." Her desire for returning to her family was beginning to fade as she began to realize a horrible truth. "I-I… don't want to live any longer… in this world." Sobbing she thought what her family would think about her if they knew this, would they all loathe and hate her for what she had done. "I-I-I… can no longer… return home… return to everyone else… my family…"
"But there is somewhere you can return to Lucy, I have already told you that. You are the one we have waited a thousand years for."
She wanted to shake her head, she didn't anything of this anymore.
"Bear our children. That is your purpose! The reason why you were brought into this world!"
The ship rocked again as it caught another wave head-on, the bow started to rise again and Yamada had to hold on unless she wanted to be swept of her feet, she had no desire of that. For a person like her who had spent her whole life on land the heavy rocking of a ship in rough seas was an unwelcome sensation that already she wished she was never going to experience again in her life.
No doubt the crew would be eager to see her go down as to them she had no seaworthy legs. With that in mind she would not under any circumstances allow them the satisfaction of being right on their claim, she had already struggled to keep her stomach's content inside. She was glad when they would reach calmer sea, right now the ship was sailing back to the territorial waters. Nightfall was already starting to come, soon it would be dark again.
Having accomplished what the chief wanted her to do she could hardly wait to be given the orders to open fire once they had reached their designated area, it was going to take some time as they were planning on using a shipping route to attract less attention. Cautious perhaps but it would pay off if they had no need to resort to using the weapons on board; gazing at some of the large containers mounted on the deck she knew those were just empty shells to fool others.
Inside them was an altogether different story, the chief had seen fit to acquire several systems to ensure that the ship would have the capacity to defend itself. She had gone over it the report she had received, no less than four phalanx CWIS units were mounted on the ship, between them they could sweep the sky clear of any airborne threat and due to their high mountings they could also lower down enough to tackle seaborne threats.
In addition a number of the SeaRAM launchers were also installed, this ship could hold its own as long as it was nothing too serious, already a frigate or a destroyer could cause trouble but that was where the ship's deception came in. Great care had been taken to make certain that everything was well hidden; nothing would give away this ship's true purpose. Hiding like a common cargo ship few would even think to investigate them and provided they kept to the common routes they would not create any reason for the coastguards to question them.
Should it come to a boarding party then provided the paper work wasn't enough she could count on a rather large contingent of security personal that had been assigned to its protection, the ship's crew would likely also take up arms if they were informed.
There was every reason for her to feel secure in the knowledge that the ship and crew could defend themselves but she would not allow for that to make herself feel complacent, allowing for that and things were certain to go wrong.
Inside the confines of the steel hull was the real object she was assigned to protect, the multiple launch ramps and the missiles loaded with the special warheads. Unlike the previous ploy to use a single missile to launch a rather substantial warhead this time the chief had vented for smaller ones but multiple of them. When launched in a wide spread the missiles could cover a large area and spread the virus easily.
Plenty of containers were stored as well and these were the ones she was most worried about, these were the most vital part of the entire operation. Still with most of the security detachment allocated towards their safety she was confident there would not be too many problems, she allowed herself a moment of satisfaction right before she was almost swept off her feet as another huge wave slammed into the ship.
She shrieked and howled as she lost her grip, barring her fangs she dared the first man to laugh at her. Much to her pleasure nobody dared too but when she took a look there was an altogether different reason for their silence, something had been spotted on the radar, something that was coming straight for them.
They kept haunting him, everything he closed his eyes he could see them dying. There sheer look of utter terror etched on their faces, they eyes will with the same mortal fear that any being felt when they were about to die. Their cries rang with a mixture of pain and despair, pleas for help kept ringing in his ears, he wondered if he would be forever haunted by those.
Looking down at his waist he could see that both Barbara and Felicia were still sound asleep as well, their heads resting on his lap. He had already asked for an extra bed to be placed in the room so they got rest on that, it would be a lot more comfortable than they were now.
"I'm sorry…" He sighed as he thought back to the deaths of Arishia, Cynthia and even Erika, they were his precious creations and yet they had all died a horrible and needless death. Part of him was feeling guilty for that, because of him they were there and just because of that they died.
"I didn't." He sighed once more. "I didn't think of you girls merely as test subjects." He petted the hair of Felicia as he started to ponder again, was it really true what they had told him. Always he had been curious about this and yet never once did he get an answer.
"Because I wanted to see if you were really the true enemies of humanity, really the reincarnations of demons coming to destroy mankind." That is what everybody who worked at the DRI was told, some may even question it but in the end everybody went with what they were being told.
"For that I thought it couldn't be helped, no matter how many spines of the rejected clones we needed to strip or all the other experiments we performed on you, the countless surgeries. The suffering that you all had to endure."
Thinking about it, they sure had been cruel to these girls, perhaps which could in part explain their hostile reaction to humans. "You came to my aid regardless of the orders I gave you, you disobeyed so many of them when you should not have been able to, even going so far as to willingly risk your own lives for my sake."
Looking down at them again he began to think if there wasn't a different way. "Are you girls really the enemies of mankind? The destroyers send to wipe us out? Is it impossible for us both to coexist?" Burning questions to which he had no answer kept repeating themselves endlessly in his mind.
He had to know, grabbing a knife he could think of only one quick and simply way to find out. "That's exactly… what I want to know is… what do you girls truly feel?" Removing the knife from its sheet he pondered on how best to remove it, he would need to be cautious as well so as not to harm either one of them. For that matter should he attempt it on them both or would it be safer to first try on one of them first?
"Taking of the ajina will free you of its control on you, then I could understand how you truly think and feel. But if we can't coexist then I guess I would be your first victim." There was doubt in his mind, hesitation that stayed his hand. This could have disastrous consequences for him, he could even be killed right here and now. "And yet I… I have to know the truth."
Gently brushing her hair aside to expose to ajina implanted on her forehead his hands started to tremble, if he removed it there would be no turning back. Allowing his curiosity to push aside the doubt he was having he gently lifted up her head. "From here on I will no longer make you girls suffer."
"Myuu… ?" With a soft moan she began to wake up and with her hazy eyes Barbara looked at him, there was curiosity and a childlike kindness in her eyes as well but did she even for a moment understood what he was about to do to her.
"Ah I'm sorry, I didn't mean to wake you up." Still now that she was awake he could at least she her reaction, removing the device would also be easier if she simply cooperated with him.
"… Myuu… myuu…" There she went again, he was getting anxious what she would say in real words instead of the sound she kept making. It made him chuckle.
"Listen Barbara, I am going to do something and I need you to stay still okay?"
There was a short nod from her as she smiled, seeing that look in her eyes did for the moment remove all hesitation he might have had if she hadn't woken up. "It can't be helped if I get killed by you, I only have myself to blame for that, but… I'll put all of my trust in you. I believe in you Barbara."
Placing the knife against the device he knew that he couldn't remove the complete device in its entirety, he did not have the tools for that and besides it would also leave a large hole in her forehead, no such a feat would require the use of the medical department back at the DRI.
The only thing he could do for the time being was to remove the control unit itself, without it the ajina itself could no longer function, for the time being that would have to suffice.
Holding his breath he placed the point underneath the edge and then slowly started to twist and turn in order to have it loosen. With a loud plop it finally came off, a nasty liquid poured out of the hole and he hoped that it wouldn't have any ill effects on her.
Her reaction to it was almost instantaneous as she collapsed in front of his eyes, her body trembled as she tried to regain her footing.
He leaned forward. "Barbara, please get up. Barbara?" His fears started to get the better of him as she watched as he rose up again, this was going to be it for him.
Reaching out for her forehead there came a surprised myuu from her, it seemed she was still the same as before. Letting out a deep sigh of relief his head rested back on the pillow. "For the time being… I'm safe… now what to do… with you…?" His attention was already turning towards Felicia, unlike her sister she still kept on sleeping. That was good as he did not wanted for her to get worried.
"Myu." With a resounding gesture she got off from his bed, he was surprised by her sudden move and her walk towards the door only confused him even more. "Where are you going?"
A short "Myu" was the only reply he got from here.
"Toilet?" He asked but she had already closed the door behind her before she could let out an answer, yeah that was likely the case. Not that he was going to get much of an answer from her anyway.
She nearly violently shoved the man aside as she took a look of her own at the radar screen, sure enough something was approaching them but the readings seemed to be all wrong. Appearing and disappearing again it had an odd course nor did the speed seem to match up, if this was right it was going hypersonic.
"How long before it comes into contact with us!?" She started barking orders as she raised the alarm, even with it being irregular the course it was following was straight for them. No chances were going to be taken. "Inform all crew, get the guns primed and loaded!"
One of the men staggered from behind his controls in shock. "This isn't possible, this thing is much too fast, estimated speed lies at mach 12.07!? The altitude is over 121.000km and dropping fast!? What the hell is this, there is no plane in existence that can do this!?"
"Then you are reading them wrong! Check them again you fool!" One of the other officers yelled at the man. "Now get back at your fucking post!"
The officer was right, Yamada was aware of the current speed and altitude records set for aircraft and none of them came even close to this. It could be a rocket but surely a rocket of that performance could not be used to hit a ship, it was too small of at target.
"Altitude dropped to 103.500km! Speed is increasing! Course altered… oh my god it is diving directly towards us!"
It was definitely not a rocket, making such quick changes meant that it was already tracking the ship's current location and with that speed they only had mere moments to shoot it down.
"Altitude 79.000km and dropping!"
"Get the deck guns ready and open fire at once!" The bastard piloting it was planning of having that plane or whatever it was crash right into them but what kind of drone could be this fast?
"Engines to full power! Evasive maneuvers! Get us out of its way and fire the damns guns!"
"Altitude at 32.500km!"
Already she could feel the ship leaning heavy to one side, it wouldn't help all that much. She was fully aware that their ship was too large and too cumbersome to pull of the maneuvers successfully, already she could feel her stomach protesting once more.
"AVOID IT AT ALL COSTS, FIRE THE DAMN GUNS!" Already outside the bridge she could hear the deafening noise as all of the phalanx units raised their barrels towards the heavens and opened fire. She watched in awe as tracer rounds flew up high, would it be enough to stop this craft or was it still too high for the guns to reach.
"Altitude has dropped to 9.500km!" Good god she thought to herself it was still coming down towards them, with that kind of speed there would be no stopping it
"Altitude just under 2.000km! Oh god it is almost upon us!
"Brace for impact!" She yelled for all that was worth as the next moment everything went to hell as the ship got hit, the way the ship was groaning and shrieking it sounded like it was going to break apart. It had never been designed for something like this, she prayed to god that the hull would hold, men were flung across the length of the bridge as the ship rocked to the side hard. This had to be the most violent collision she had ever experienced in her life.
Lifting her head the last thing she saw was a panel coming straight at her, there was a briefest sensation of pain as she felt the blow, voices started to become dull, lights started to fade and just like that she lost consciousness.
Lying there on the bed Nousou kept watching through the window, outside there was enough light coming from the city itself. With Felicia still resting on his lap he started to give some thought to how he was going to proceed from here on, if Barbara showed to be normal for the next few days the he would see to it that the devices of Diana and Felicia were also to be removed.
"Maybe it would be nice if we could bring Diana along to an amusement park or a zoo, provided that the chief will grant it." Even if the chief wouldn't grant it there would be a way for him to get around it. "Since you have all been imprisoned inside the lab until now."
He wondered how they would react on seeing a life outside of the lab or the DRI for that matter. "I would hazard that you girls would be surprised since you have never had the chance to play outside." There was a laugh coming from him as he could imagine their reaction.
"I can see you three already jumping around and waving your hands in the air, going all myuu myuu from being happy." That would make for a fine scene, diclonius living outside and having a good life. "I am not saying that this will be a reasonable compensation for all what we have put you through but it should be a start…" He sighed as he said that.
Felicia woke up by herself this time as the door opened, watching he could see that Barbara had finally returned. Though she kept standing there, her hands folded behind her back.
"Barbara? Has anything happened? Did you find yourself lost in searching for the toilet?" Still standing there with her bare feet on the floor. "Come here quickly, if you keep standing there you are going to catch a cold. I don't want you to get sick."
That was curious, there wasn't a single response, not even their normal myuu. Her continuing silence unnerved him for some reason with her just standing there with her back against the door. Why didn't she come any closer?
"Barbara, what are you doing?" He almost swore that upon his question there was a faint smirk appearing on her face. "Don't tell me…?"
In one swift move her left arm unfolded from behind her back and something heavy landed on his lap with a wet thud, as he dared to stare down he saw much to his own disgust that it was the severed head of a female nurse. Barbara had killed a person, he started to sweat at the most likely reason for her sudden change in behavior came to his mind, she was listening to her instinct.
Just looking at him was already enough to almost throw her in a fit of rage, for the moment she was struggling to hold back the voice in her head crying out for revenge on this human.
Her other sister was there standing next to him, it sickened her that she was still enslaved to his control, he would pay for that.
"How dare you!?" She sneered at him with all the venom she had within herself. "You put us through all this misery! How many of my kind have you killed!? How many of my sisters have you maimed and mutilated to please yourself!? How many horrible experiments have you performed against us!? You made one of my sisters stab herself!"
She wanted nothing more than to tear his head off but even such a quick death was too good for what he had done to her and her sisters, no his suffering was going to be a long and slow one. "YOU CANNOT EVER BE FORGIVEN!"
She was surprised to see that even with the fear clearly etched on his face, he still managed speak to her in a calm way.
"I am sorry." That was all he had to say.
"IS THAT ALL!? DO YOU KNOW WHAT YOU HAVE DONE TO US!?" She couldn't believe the nerve and arrogance this human showed towards her. "YOUR STUPID THING MAKES US NOTHING MORE THAN SLAVES! ONE OF MY SISTERS DIED BECAUSE SHE COULDN'T RUN! I COULDN'T LET GO OF THAT WRECK NO MATTER HOW MUCH I WANTED! I NEARLY DIED BECAUSE OF YOU! YOU MONSTER! YOU FILTHY DISGUSTING HUMAN! She threw it all out, all of the things she wanted to scream but never could because of what they had done to her. No more of that and now with finally having her thoughts free again she would make him pay.
"Don't make me do something I don't want to do, you are my creation and I would rather not see you get hurt."
How did he dare to say such a thing, she had to clench hard not to kill him. "You dare to threaten me human!?"
"I am not threatening you at all, I do feel sorry for the wrongs that I have done to you and although I do not want to see the last few of my creations get hurt I am not going to let myself be killed just like that." Leaning back in the bed he seemed to be taunting her, to think even now he was acting like he was in full control of her.
"Let my sister go, remove that thing like you did with me!" She snarled at him, her sister was standing there, ready to oppose her should she make a move. She might be stronger than her due to Felicia being younger but even so she needed to be careful, at this distance any difference in range was null and only raw strength mattered.
"Barbara you don't want to do this, if you strike at me then you will be hunted and be disposed of. I have seen what happens to diclonius, there is no hope for you other than at my side. You-."
"SHUT UP!" The vase next to his head exploded as her anger got the better of her, how she hated to be called by that human name. "Stop calling me that, I do not belong to you!"
"Sadly I cannot let you leave, there would be too many problems for the both of us. Felicia be a dear and restrain your sister for me, she isn't feeling well."
Grinding her teeth she watched as he sisters stepped forward and unleashed her vectors. "Don't do this, don't listen to him!" She howled with fury as their vectors collided with each other, she would not get killed by her sister and certainly not when she was still under the thrall of that man.
From the corner of her eyes she could she he was reaching out for something but with her sister blocking her in every way she could do little as he pulled out a small item. "AFRAID TO FACE ME ON YOUR OWN, YOUR SO SCARED TO LET SOMEBODY ELSE DO THE FIGHTING FOR YOU!"
He smiled at her accusation which did nothing but making her even angrier at him.
"I did not imagine that I would have needed to use this against my creations, I really wish you wouldn't force me to but I have no choice." As his hand made a single quick gesture pain shot through her skull, she felt stunned for a moment.
"WHAT DID YOU DO TO ME!?" Shrieking as her vectors started to shimmer before fading she understood that he was responsible for this. "ANSWER ME YOU MURDERER!"
"Not much, just a little precaution I had installed in you girls after what happened to Erika, maybe the same happened to her as to you. Now, please for your own sake. Stop fighting, I don't want to see you hurt."
Down on her knees she had no intention of giving up, she wanted her revenge.
Her mother was already getting herself ready to leave when she looked at the clock. "Well then, I will already go home and prepare dinner for you all. Besides the visiting time is almost over, you and the others should come home as well before it gets too late."
"Yes mother." Yuka nodded, in reality she didn't really want to leave at all. Right now her place was at Kouta's side, she couldn't just leave him here all on his own.
What if he woke up, wouldn't it be better for him to see a friendly face first instead of the unknown nurses and doctors? Still hooked up to the equipment she wondered how he was really doing, the doctors had explained to her but even so she was not going to rely on those machines to tell her how he was doing.
Deep inside she knew that he was likely still in pain over what had happened, she didn't know how to explain it to him when he would wake up. Alone in the room for now she Leaned over him, she was hesitant at first but then she kissed him on the lips.
"Kouta." She whispered to him as she pulled herself back. "Kouta… please wake up..." Seeing him like this and knowing that Nyu was gone she cried, dropping to her knees she leaned on his bed. How much she wanted for him to wake up and tell her not to cry, that it was going to be alright. She wanted to believe that more than anything else in the world. "…Kouta…"
There was a knock at the door, surprised and a little scared she shot up straight as the door opened.
"Yuka-san? Thank god you are still here." Dai smiled as he entered the room, glad to see at least one familiar face. "How is he doing if I may ask, still the same as before?"
She nodded in response. "The doctors say he will be able to pull through with enough rest but that doesn't make me feel any bit better, knowing that he got shot while trying to protect us, why did he have to be such a baka?"
He shook his head. "He only did what he felt needed to be done, you can't blame him for it. Besides if you want anybody to blame then it should be on me or the others, we were the ones that promised to help and keep you safe. We are the ones to blame."
Although that was in part true it wouldn't change anything, Kouta was still unconscious; Nyu was missing and a growing worry with regards to where Nana and Saeko had gone off to. "Can I ask, what happened to the others at the harbor?"
Picking a chair he sighed. "I couldn't get there, the area is still cordoned off and nobody is allowed to enter. I will try again later when I can but I can't guarantee anything."
"I know, I just want to know if they are still alive or not. It will mean a lot to Saeko-chan, what you told us earlier about that explosion hit her hard."
Leaning back he looked at Kouta, if only they could have been there. Then none of this mess would have happened, the kids would all be safe and those bastards at the DRI would not have been able to kidnap Nyu. He already knew who it was to have ordered such an attack, Saseba was out of the picture as they did not have diclonius at their disposal and that left only one other option. Only the DRI possessed the resources and the ability to use diclonius for combat.
"Is there any news from your friend and the twins, are they alright? Are they safe?"
Smiling as he heard that question he let her know that the twins were fine, all in all it was likely the best place for them to be right now. "Speaking of them I came here to see if Nana-san and Saeko-san would be interested in going there as well, it should give them a place to hide until the heat wears off."
That was something for Yuka to consider; already her mother had made it painfully clear to hear that under no circumstances would she allow for a horned girl to come inside the house but even if she agreed they still had to know where they were.
"Dai-san, I have a favor to ask of you? This is something that we have to do to if we want to find them. I don't like it at all that they are out there on their own."
"To be honest Yuka-san, I know that both of them can take care of themselves. They are young but those ladies can hold themselves fine in a fight, I don't think that anybody is going to try anything stupid with them. Our only real problem is when somebody who sees them is going to report them to the police."
Yuka nodded, that was her biggest fear as well. "All the more reason that we need to find them and get them somewhere safe but I need your help in order to do that."
"Name it, I will do what I can to help you kids." Getting off the chair he listened carefully as she explained what she wanted him to do, it did sound like a good plan but he would need to go and first talk with Mako about this. "I will go then, if I find them I will let you know, I promise." With those words he made a quick bow before the leaving the room.
Taking one last look at Kouta she left the room as well, closing the door behind her with a heavy heart. She would go to pick up Mayu and then head to her mother's house but the first thing in the morning she would come back to check on him again.
