Disclaimer: Still don't own it

Spencer let out a heavy sigh.

As she stared at the empty place where the spare tire should have been in the truck, the teen had a feeling that they would be here for a while.

It was unusual but Spencer actually knew how to change a tire; something that her father had taught both daughters to do. Whatever you may think of Peter Hastings and his wealth, the man knew how to grind in the trenches and be self-sufficient so there were a great many things that the teen knew how to do; despite her economic status. Alison had always sneered at her because of that, usually letting others do the grunt work for her while the other girls had found it more appreciative. Emily found it especially endearing since technically she was at the bottom of the economic ladder in comparison to the other girls of the group with her own father teaching the teen the basics when he was home. Hanna was more closer to Alison at not wanting to get her hands dirty but Aria was always happy to learn a new skill. The one time that the girls had blown out a tire had been engaging given that Spencer had been more of the leader of the group; given that the blonde leader had retreated her role in that one instance.

She wasn't completely sure of what the tire had run over to make it flat in the first place; Mona speculating that it might have been a loose nail from the construction site. When she had visited during the daytime, the teen had been a little more careful where to park; which hadn't been the case earlier. The tire itself was completely flat and she wondered if the number of side roads, which were mainly dirt, had masked the signs that they losing air. Either way, it didn't matter since there was no spare tire to replace despite having the tools to do so; which Mona didn't understand why. She could have sworn that the tire had been there the last time she had opened the trunk and inspected it; though that had been quite a while ago. The tire had been supposed to be in a compartment underneath the lining of the trunk itself along with the tools but was empty when the teens went to get it. Like Spencer, Mona also knew how to change a tire given that her mother was an extremely independent person so they could have done it in no time; which was a nice change given that Spencer had to do it herself the last time with Emily being stolen away by Alison to keep her company.

It was now apparent that they were not going to make it back to town in order to preserve some level of deniability towards the events of the night. While they were nowhere near the sight of the shooting and Alison's last known location, if her body was discovered at the dump site with an intact corpse then they would appear guiltier; which was still a real risk. It would still be another few days before the chemicals in the container completely dissolved Alison's body to the point where even the skeleton would be eroded and any viable DNA lost; thus they were on a strict timetable until things were in the clear for them. Given their current situation, the two teens had to hope that the container would not be dug up anytime soon or everything would be lost for them; especially since they had more motive than anyone to kill the blonde. While they could come up with a cover story of some type, there were just too many coincidences that would tie them to all of this; thus why they were more than nervous.

There was just too much to lose at this point.

"Well this night just keeps getting better and better," Mona sarcastically said to her girlfriend as she let out a small growl. She then turned around and kicked the flat tire still on the wheel well and looked up into the sky.

"I do admit that things are not looking well right now but there is still hope," Spencer stated as she attempted to cheer up her friend; though she wasn't feeling it. She shivered as the night air touched her skin and the sky was growing darker by the minute; it possibly going to rain any minute.

"I think we need to come up with a story to tell if we ever make it back to Rosewood tonight. We are nowhere near the route to Ravenswood so no one will believe that we snuck off to enjoy ourselves," Mona countered with a slight scathing tone as she kicked the car again; not caring if there would be a dent. The shorter teen was extremely frustrated at their current predicament and could not even come up with a way out of it.

"Well we could just start walking and hope that one of us gets a signal," the other teen suggested with hope in her voice while holding up her phone. Neither teen had any bars on their phones that indicated a lack of signal; thus they couldn't call for help.

Mona was about to say something when a sudden crackle of thunder roared across the area; causing both teens to nearly jump out of their dresses. A few seconds later, the sky seemed to open up and rain came pouring down upon the two teens; causing them to rush into the car in an effort to get some cover. As the two huddled in their wet dresses inside the vehicle, the rain slammed into the ground around them and even felt like it was denting the roof; though it wasn't really the case. Mona decided to turn on the heater and warmth filled the car though she knew that she would have to turn off the air at some point in order to not drain the battery. As soon as it was comfortable enough and they were not shivering anymore, the heater was turned off though Mona did light up the emergency lights; hoping that someone would see them and come to their rescue. While she would have preferred it for them to come up with their own way back to Rosewood, it was apparent that was out of the question.

"I repeat what I said earlier; could this night get any worse?" Mona asked again with even more sarcasm dripping from her voice. The other teen had nothing to say to that as the thunder roared above them and the rain fell.

"Maybe we are dealing with a balance of sorts; we get to be the instrument of Alison's demise but have to deal with minor issues to weigh it out," speculated Spencer as her hand went to the side of the car seat. She found the lever to lower the back of the seat so that she could lay down given that the teen was really tired.

"I would think that the Universe or Heaven would be thanking us for what we did; given that there was no one else willing to dish out the justice that was needed upon Alison," the other teen stated with a light twinge of bitterness in her voice. It always angered her that no one was willing to stand up to Alison in Rosewood; even her parents when she did bad things.

"I think we shouldn't dwell on what any higher power would think of us right now; I doubt what we did would be reflected well when it comes down to it," Spencer countered gently though she was in no way feeling regret on what had happened. If one got down to it, the events that led to Alison's fall were more or less instigated by the blonde herself and not them; strengthened by the factor that they had not even killed her.

"Maybe; I still feel we did the right thing. I suppose we still get the joy at watching the other girls squirm at the idea that Alison is still out there; though we know better. I am hoping that all this cements the fact that she was A to them," Mona said with a smirk as she leaned her backseat down as well; mimicking her friend. They lay there in the darkness and watched the rain bounce off the windshield.

"I think after tonight that we Alison will be considered the devil; especially once the media gets involved. I also think we might have to get used to the fact that our lives are going to be the center of attention for a while; given that we were Alison's long stream of victims," the taller teen put forth as she let out a long sigh. There was little doubt on what the media would come up with given the seriousness of things; thus it was a good idea to start mentally preparing now.

"I think we should use the spotlight to better bury the bitch; maybe even telling them on how Alison treated us so badly. We could make connections really early and make things better for us down the line," proposed Mona as she thought about what was to come. She rather liked the idea of being in the spot light for a while and wanted to take advantage of it.

"That could work; maybe we should also get some others involved as well. I am curious to see what Jenna will do now since she is a loose end of sorts," Spencer brought up; almost forgetting about the blind teen. With Alison now gone from Rosewood, there was definitely going to be a power vacuum on the social hierarchy.

"I thought about that as well; we will have to watch her just in case she tries to make a play for the crown. I do believe that everyone will be weary of crowning a new queen bee for a while; until the media loses interest in our town that is," Mona said and Spencer nodded her head in agreement. If there was one thing she knew from watching the news herself, it was that the media always lost interest in a case where nothing more would happen.

"What should we do about the others though? You know they are going to take a major hit from everyone at school as well as the town once everything about Alison gets out," the other teen stated as a flash of lightning could be seen a ways off. The rain was coming down a lot harder now and it appeared to be hailing; causing the tapping on the roof to become louder.

"I suppose we could throw them a lifeline; tell any reporter that we don't blame them at all for what Alison did to everyone. We could take over the group and shape the other girls to our will just as Alison did," Mona suggested with an evil smirk appearing on her face. She liked the idea of using the girls as dolls as Alison did; though they would be more broken.

"I don't want to do what she did though; we could shape these girls into something better than what Alison did with them. Even making them see all the damage they did by not speaking out against her," the girlfriend gently countered; not wanting to see Mona turn into another Alison DiLaurentis. She was tired of queen bees in Rosewood and wanted a tyrant free town where no one would be victims of bullying.

"I understand and totally agree with you; we have a chance to make the other girls do something with their lives and not someone's toadies. I am just saying that we have an opportunity to form a real group where everyone is equal; sort of," Mona defended; understand Spencer's point of view. As much as it was appealing to become the new queen bee of Rosewood High, she didn't want to be something that she was not.

"Good because I can never be another Alison and no one should; I just want everything to be normal without all the drama. Unless we have to deal out justice again at some point down the line," Spencer said to her friend as she was tempted to ask if they could play some music. While listening to the rain was kind of nice, the teen felt some nice soft music would be great for the occasion.

"I suppose you are right; I will miss it though. It was nice having all that power over our enemies and things might be kind of boring from now on," the other teen said as she let out a long sigh at the revelation that it was truly all over. There were still a few hurdles to still get past but wouldn't be a major problem given that a good lie could fix it.

"Well we now have some good work to do now that I think about it. We could help Aria and her relationship with Mr. Fitz and fix Hanna so that she is no longer an Alison clone. We could even make sure Emily could come out and be the person who is truly independent without her questioning herself as well as her sexuality," Spencer proposed with a great deal of enthusiasm in her voice. While she had no desire to take her deceased former friend's place as the leader of the pack, Spencer at least wanted to make sure that the sins of Alison were washed away for good.

"And I will be right there with you; it would be our final strike against Alison and the final nail in her coffin to see everything she had ever built grinded into dust," Mona said to Spencer while grasping her hand and clasping it gently. Her friend returned her clasp with a soft smile and reached over to kiss the teen on the lips.

Mona returned the kiss and pretty soon they were making out inside the car. As they locked lips, they held eachother close until Mona took the initiative and climbed on top of Spencer lap; facing the teen as they kissed some more. After another minute, their hands began exploring one another and both their dresses became loose with Spencer's top half of her body being exposed though she still had her bra on. The taller teen hissed as her friend played with her breasts and Spencer returned the favor by reaching under Mona's dress; causing the other teen to hiss in pleasure as Spencer's hands explored in between her legs. It had been a while since they had been so intimate and their behaviors showed that both were frustrated; needing the release. As Spencer's fingers moved where where girlfriend needed her, Mona began sucking Spencer's neck and gave the teen several hickies; which would definitely show. Soon, the shorter teen's hands went farther down and they began to move against each other.

There intimacy was interrupted by a sudden tapping on the driver's side window.

Mona practically leaped from Spencer's lap in complete surprise and back onto her seat as a light shinned into the car. As Spencer fixed her dress in order to cover her chest up, Mona hiked her own skirt down and rolled down the window; startled to see a familiar face. Directly in front of her and in complete uniform was Garret Reynolds; who had Officer Barry in the back of him with a flashlight of his own. The rain had stopped but the cold air flooded into the car though both teens were so flushed that they hardly felt it. Although Officer Barry was a few feet away and did not know what had transpired in the car, Garret had seen the whole thing despite the fog that covered the window; evidence by his slight smirk. Mona just glared at the man and struggled to come up with the right words in order to explain the situation; given that the girls were right out in the middle of nowhere; not technically supposed to be here. Beside her, Spencer was breathing heavily as she struggled to come down from the rush she was feeling.

"What are you two doing here?" Garret asked though he had a pretty good idea of what the answer was. Given the events of the night, he was genuinely surprised to see the two teens here and wondered how they got here in the first place.

"Our car got a flat tire and we didn't have a spare," Mona answered the cop truthfully as she struggled with a good lie to come up with when the man would ask on how they came to be here in the first place. Her and Spencer had yet to come up with a good excuse on why they were absent from the dance; thus they needed to think quickly.

"And what are you doing miles away from Rosewood? This is pretty far to take an alternate route home," stated the older man as she shined his light inside for a better look. All he saw was the girl's things and nothing suspicious though them being here was more than curious.

"It's been a wild night for us and we are glad you found us in the first place," Spencer said to the officer as she also wished that they had a good story to tell. While they were miles away from where Wilden was shot, they still had much to answer for.

"Well your parents are looking for you and we can take you back to the station. You will have to answer some questions though," Garret told the teens as he looked over to Barry to check out the rest of the car. The man specifically wanted to check out the trunk which was open in case the teens were related to what was going on.

After all, it had been a crazy night for them as well.
