Kyle felt cold. Very cold as the golden glass covered his body, only allowing inches of breathing space. Something was happening and Kyle had a feeling that this is the great power. His eyes were shut, the bright light was unbearable. His thoughts wondered to his team mates and he there were in the same coldness he was in.

In fact was the coldness even there? There was a high possibility that he was hallucinating as he could have sworn that, not only 2 minutes ago, he was standing in Pearl Canyon. Even if it wasn't there, the imaginary cold was getting up to freezing point.

"We need to get them out!" Drake exclaimed, "I mean, what on earth is that? A glass cocoon?"

"They will be fine." James assured them.

"Why did you tell them to do it?" Zoey asked calmly compared to everyone else in the room.

"There are something's that need to happen in order for our future to turn out right." James replied.

"Please tell me you're not from the future." Josh pleaded, and then gasped. "Are you the Doctor?"

"Doctor Who?" James replied annoyed causing the boys to snicker slightly at the old joke, "Listen! I know the forces of evil that are out there. I met them when I was very small, younger than you. I know what power they process and it was vital that the Jr defenders have the super power to destroy them with."

"What connections do you have that Ivar guy?" Amy asked suspicious.

"That is not relevant!" James said.

"Oh I think it is." Drake argued, "I've met the crazy long haired dude when I was outside…oh what was his name… Nevar, Cidar, something ar…"

"Ivar." Amy corrected him, "He seemed very pleased to see Zsa-Zsa and Jack. Is he the bad guy?"

"Simple answer? Yes." James replied as he scanned the room, trying to find something. His eyes then stopped at a figure standing in the corner, "What are you doing?"

Josh stopped, what seemed to be taking a selfie, and slowly put the phone back in his jean pocket before answering, "Analysis photos?"

James looked straight at Drake as if he was looking into his soul. Drake looked back slightly scared and confused at what this man was doing. Eventually, after two long seconds James stopped looking at Josh and reverted his attention back to the three remaining teenagers. They were still looking at him inquisitively, wondering whether he was good or bad, someone to trust or someone to fear. Either way, they would never completely understand who he really is. Not even the Jr defenders knew who he was and that would be his biggest regret.

If he had told them who he was, the real him, not just some workaholic who wanted the Earth to be a safe place again. Of course, he wanted the Earth safe but if he had come clean and given away his identity then maybe he could have prevented this. However today was not a day to drown in self-regret. The Earth is in danger and the Jr defenders aren't here to stop it.

There DNA tubes… gripped in his hand. He rubbed his thumb over one of them. He never understood how they had Dino DNA in them. All you could see was what seemed to be a thin, relevant coloured piece of paper along the tube. Maybe the DNA was rubbed on that piece of paper? Who knows?

"We need to get them out of here." Someone said breaking the chain of thought.

"No." James replied back sternly. He then took a deep breathe before replying back, "They'll be too heavy for us even if we try."

"But we need to get them out of here or at least wake them. Those dinosaur robots things are going to come back and we need Kyle and his friends to stop them." Josh declared now paying full attention to the problem at hand, "We can wake them can't we?"

The answer was stopped by the solidifying of what sounded like ice. The noise was slow at first; there were moments of silence when it couldn't be heard. Then the solidifying sound would rise up again. Everyone's eyes shot around the room trying to locate the source. Where would ice come from?

"On the floor." Zoey muttered.

Everyone eyes glanced down at the floor. An area of ice was slowing forming and expanding. It was a magnificent sight. Little snowflakes would miraculously appear on the ground from nowhere, then they would all join together and form a unique pattern. The snowflakes quickly turned to ice within an instant. The water seeping through the pattern solidified and the process would start again.

This ice trail was making its way towards the Jr defenders. James kept a straight face. He was sure this wasn't meant to happen. The ice trail slowly crept up towards Kyle and wrapped itself around the bottom of the glass cocoon. The snowflakes appeared again, they were appearing quicker and in a high quantity. They turned to ice and continued to climb up Kyle's trapped body.

Everyone stood there shocked. No one knew what was going on and this magic ice seemed unstoppable.

The ice continued up Kyle and formed along his arms, it was obvious that before he turned into a glass cocoon, he was trying to reach out towards his fellow friends, trying to grab onto them for safety but failed.

The ice was now like a root. It was thicker and wrapped it's long, deadly self around Kyle's neck before twisting and twining it's self around his head. The ice was a very different colour to the glass. It was a darker blue and was shiny, almost reflective. It glistened in the artificial light.

Everything was silent. No one breathed. No one could. The whole world had stopped to see this creation take place. James wondered why it wasn't happening to the other Jr defenders, they remained unscathed.

A cracking sound filled the empty room. Everyone's thoughts were drawn back to Kyle. The ice began to crack, destroying the pretty pattern it had created.

"Everyone duck." James said slowing crouching down. Everyone followed to scared to object.

The ice continued cracking all over the cocoon until it was completely covered. Again, there was a moment of silence as everyone looked up, still kneeling on the ground, unsure of what to expect. The ice on the floor began to separate away and disappear, only leaving Kyle's figure covered in ice.

Suddenly, the cracking sound continued at an alarming rate, each crack appearing faster and faster. The ice was splitting apart, falling to the ground with every crack. Kyle's heart stopped. It remained frozen for only a second, waiting for the change.

The second passed and his heart beat back into life. It was a now beat, a louder more violent beating from the heart. The ice flew off Kyle, it dispersed around the room and with it the glass cocoon evaporated into nothing. The ice smashed against the wall, falling into tiny pieces as it did so.

Kyle opened his eyes amazed to see he was still in the lab. He glanced left and looked at his cocooned friends. They were still trapped but they weren't fighting. Not like he was, he mastered every strength he had to get out of that cocoon and in return something new happened.

His eyes switched down to his new friends and James kneeling on the floor, looking down, fearing for their lives. The yellow defender stood amongst all of the destruction and watched as it unfolded.
