A/N: I hoped you enjoyed the last chapter despite being very long and descriptive. Anyway here's Drake's chapter. (Looks up to see the new defenders staring at her)

Me: Can I help you guys?

Josh: Yes, you can I would like to raise one point about the lengths of the chapters. My chapter was 2,000 or so words; Amy's was 2,100 while Zoey's was 2700. Favouritism slightly?

Me: No, you guys you've got it all wrong-

Amy: Oh really, you described my head injury in less words than you described Zoey falling out of a tree.

Zoey: Leave her alone guys, anyway its Drakes turn now. He's chapter is bound to be short, how much trouble can he get into?

Drake: Well…

"It's an earthquake!" The person standing next to Kyle and Drake shouted out and Drake's first thoughts being 'Well done!". Though that was him all over, he was normally the first person to hit back with a sarcastic comment. Drake Jones was an open child's book- easy to read. This would explain why Kyle didn't seem too concerned for his wellbeing at the moment but for the people around him. However his arm was clutched onto Drakes as if he was trying steady both of them in vain.

The earthquake lasted for at least a minute before coming to a complete stop. Silence. Drake had never been anywhere when there was complete silence. Someone was always making a noise in the background but this was actually silence. Unlike the earthquake it only lasted two seconds before literally everyone expect him and Kyle started screaming and shouting throughout the whole hospital.

Drake felt himself being pulled over into a corner by Kyle. It appeared to be the only unoccupied corner in the whole hospital but Kyle had very happily announced it as his land. Speaking of Kyle, he didn't look too panicked about the whole situation but neither did Drake although on the inside Drake felt the fear linger in his stomach. He looked around at everyone coming in. They all looking in terrible states and some were bleeding. Others were fine and were carrying in injured.

"Drake!" Kyle shouted.

Drake turned around and saw Kyle looking at him; his eyes narrow with concern and his lips tight together tilting to the left, like his possessor, Kyle hid emotions well. Despite what he had done, James was very open to answering his questions about Jack but only because he had prohibited asking these sorts of questions to Kyle. They all knew that asking about the Jr defenders could lead to him being upset and unfit to fight... well anything. Upon asking James, he learnt that Jack never showed any emotion on his face, he withdrew it and kept it inside and that he was the best leader a team could ask for. It seemed that Kyle had picked up both of those traits very well. James had once muttered that 'he had learnt from the best'.

"Sorry, got distracted." Drake replied.

"I'm going to stay here and wait for the others, they're bound to turn up eventually and I want you to go out and help the people in the town." Kyle instructed.

Drake nodded and ran outside of the hospital. People were everywhere and heading towards the hospital in herds. He tried to avoid getting knocked down as he left the hospital doors, however it seemed that one person didn't get the memo. A young man accidently (though when retelling the story later, Drake claimed it was forced) bashed himself into Drake.

"Sorry." He muttered.

Drake barely had time to look the man in the face but got a glimpse of the torn red t-shirt he was wearing. Shaking his head from the distraction, he found a rare isolated spot. He could still faintly hear the people running past him. No one should see him- he was in a creepy dark alley way after all. A very creepy alley.

"It's Dino Time!" Drake shouted quickly not wanting to be in the alley way any longer.

"Tyrannosaurus!"

Drake ran out of the creepy alley way and into the destruction of Pearl Canyon. He always wondered why it was called Pearl Canyon. To him it always felt like a name some random person (most likely a girl) came up with during one boring evening but according to Kyle (the Wikipedia of the group) pearls were once located here in the 16th Century. That was until the defenders arrived in the 18th Century and had taken them all for themselves. To be honest, that would why they could afford to pray for food and shampoo.

Drake tried to focus on the destruction at hand but found it difficult to. His teachers always named him a dreamer and not the aspiring kind. The teachers would always make a comment on his report card about his daydreaming and how it stopped him from completing class work. His parent and teachers would always ask him what was so interesting up there in his mind but he would never reply. It was his secret. Was being the key world.

Somehow, school had come up as a conversation last night at the sleepover and Drake had clearly expressed his annoyance at the particular question. He was glad that they had decided to dismiss asking the question themselves. He was very annoyed at the moment in time and had no idea what consequences that question would have done. As he said before, it was his secret. That was the case until he looked over at Kyle and saw his fellow team mate staring back at him with recognition in his eyes. It was clear that the red and yellow defenders had another understanding between the pair. Kyle never did bring it up or ask him about it to which he was glad.

A ear hurling scream brought Drake out of his trip down memory lane and back into reality. He located the source of the screaming and ran towards a woman. She was sitting on the ground and lucky was uninjured. She looked up when she saw a fake shadow lurking over her. It was clear that she was familiar with the red defender and she didn't back away (unlike some little kids did yesterday at the park).

"Please!" She begged in the most desperate and panicked voice Drake had ever heard, "You have to help me fiancée. He's in that building!"

Drake looked over to that building and sighed. The infrastructure was coming away and bricks were falling one by one off the main building. Clearly the building was about to collapse. Why couldn't he just save a cat from falling out of a tree?

The woman looked at him again as if she was telepathically telling him 'what are you waiting for?'. Drake looked back at the building and ran into it. His parents would be having a fit if they saw what he was doing.

After heroically leaping from the broken door, Drake careful maneuverer himself around the bricks and pointy pieces of wood sticking out at random places. Clearly this place had been a pub or restaurant. Drake walked around and started to move the larger pieces of wood that could easily have someone hiding under them. He did this for about two minutes without any lucky.

"Drake!" A voice startled him, "Are you doing okay?"

Kyle. That was Kyle's voice. Obviously he had his outfit on as well otherwise he wouldn't be communicating with him now.

"I'm fine." Drake replied. It wasn't a complete lie. Physically he was fine but emotionally he was frightened. Drake knew what Kyle was getting out. He was making sure that Drake wasn't dreaming or anything. Boy, that kid knew him well.

"Where are you?" Kyle asked, "My area seems fine and I've just sent Josh off to help. Zoey's around somewhere. I've just called her."

"Umm, I'm in what used to be a pub or a restaurant. There's a women outside sitting down. She appears uninjured but in trying to locate her fiancée. I can't find him!" Drake explained.

"Understood. Trying calling out. I'll try and find you." Kyle replied before turning off.

He was most likely talking to one of the others now but the building seems scary without his friend talking to him. Drake took a deep breath and started shouting out,

"Hello!" He shouted just as some debris came flying down behind him, "Hello!"

A gentle moan came from his left and Drake ran carefully to him, jumping over various obstacles as he did. Drake pushed a large wooden slab off and found the fiancée. He was coming out of unconsciousness and was trying to get up. All of his clothes were torn and there was a bit of blood trickling down his arm. Drake stood still for a second and without thinking turned off the external speakers.

"Kyle, I've found him." Drake shouted through the comma not knowing if Kyle was even listening.

A few seconds later, Kyle replied, "Good, you need to get him out and quickly."

Drake stood still whilst looking at the injured man. He had no idea what to do or how to get him out. The man had stopped moaning and appeared to be unconscious again. Drake went to reach for the man but withdraw his hand. He was terrified of hurting the man even further and doing more damage than good.

"Drake?" Kyle called out on the comm, "Have you got the man out yet?"

"Umm." Drake replied, hoping Kyle would take that as a no anyway. Knowing his luck, James was probably listening and right on cue…

"Well get him out!" James replied successfully shouting down his comm.

Drake crept forwards towards the man but still didn't help him.

"Kyle." He called down his comm, "Are you still listening?"

"Yep." The reply came, "I think I know where you are. I'll be there soon."

"I don't want to hurt him." Drake replied so softly that Kyle almost missed that he had said anything.

"You can't do any more harm than that building has. Just pull him up." Kyle reassured him, "It's going to be okay."

"Is what he used to say to you?" Drake asked knowing he was about to enter the red zone of questions, "Jack I mean, whenever you were…unsure, did he say that to you?"

He heard silence on the other end of the comm; he assumed that Kyle was thinking about it, "No he didn't. I always knew that he would be right beside me spiritually or literally. I knew that whatever I did, Jack would be proud."

Drake nodded and continued talking to Kyle and he knelt down and touched the man's arm, "Hardly carrying on his legacy am I?"

"I doubt we even had a legacy but Jack would be proud, I know he would be." Kyle responded, "I see the women sitting on the ground."

A few seconds later, Drake heard movement behind him as he gently picked up the man. Kyle rushed over (the best that he could) and helped distribute the man's weight out equally. They slowly carried him out and his fiancée ran over to the pair with a paramedic behind him. They took the man from them and treated his wounds.

"I need to see James." Kyle said breaking the silence between the pair, "I lost contact with both Zoey and Josh and few minutes ago. Can you find them for me?"

"Why didn't you go and find them?" Drake asked generally concerned then realisation hit him, "You didn't come after me instead did you?"

The silence told Drake everything he needed to know until Kyle spoke softly, "I know you only dream when you have lost control of the situation. So I came to make sure that you knew that someone is listening and trying to help you and to let you know that have more control than you realise."

"Did Jack do the same thing to you?" Drake replied.

Kyle smirked inside his helmet then realised that Drake couldn't see through yellow plastic so replied, "First night I arrived at the castle. He could read me like a book".

Drake nodded and ran off to find his missing team mates.

~Ooooo~

He had been at the hospital for fifteen minutes waiting for Josh to wake up from fainting. Currently, he was in the waiting area. Zoey had phoned her mum. According to Kyle, she didn't get a proper chance to explain what was going on and by the replies of Zoey, she wasn't going to.

"Oh please, that building is not collapsing." She replied on the phone, "Mum you're over reacting…okay then you're all over reacting. Seriously I'm fine. I'm positive and I'm still at the hospital… no my friend Josh fainted…lack of sleep…we had a sleepover last night…I didn't tell you because it was a last minute thing…no don't put dad on the line, this phone call is costing me- oh hi dad…"

Drake smirked at his friends despair. Suddenly a woman bashed past him. If it wasn't for the relax action in his arms grabbing onto the nearest object, Drake was sure he would have fallen flat onto the floor. However he did steady himself enough to get a glance at where she was going.

"Amy's room." He muttered then tapped Zoey on the shoulder and pointed towards the door. Zoey mouthed 'what?' in response. By the sound of the conversation it seemed that both her parents were giving a lecture on safety.

"Listen, I love you both but I really have to go. Say hi to everyone from me. Okay bye." Zoey said ending the call, "Yes?"

"Some angry woman just stormed into Amy's room." He informed him.

Zoey got off the chair and peered through the small glass window in the door. The woman was shouting at Josh and poor Amy and Kyle looked awkward throughout the whole argument. A few seconds later, the woman turned around. Both Zoey and Drake leapt opposite sides of the door and it flew open, almost hitting Zoey in the face, and the woman stormed out. James appeared in the doorway, he hadn't noticed either Drake or Zoey either side of the open door

"What a ghastly women!" James commented, "Please tell me she isn't your mother."

"My aunt." They heard Josh reply causing Zoey and Drake too look at each other in shock and horror. Josh lived with someone like that. Drake made a mental note that he was inviting the boys to more sleepover round his house and the girls if his parents would allow it.

Both Zoey and Drake were unsure of whether to make an appearance through the door way like James had done or whether to just there. Kyle was trying to calm Josh down after finding out it would be homeless for the night. Drake looked over at Zoey and they both silently agreed to stay where they were. After it all it was funny that James was completely oblivious to the fact that they were less than a metre away from him. James moved away from the doorway and Kyle came out followed by Josh.

"Are you coming to collect your things Zoey?" he asked without turning round to face her.

James turned around confused and was shocked to see both Zoey and Drake there. The pair smiled at him but he turned around and walked down the hospital. Zoey waved goodbye to Drake and left with Kyle and Josh. Drake waved back at the trio and walked into Amy's room. He hadn't seen her or spoken to her in ages.

"Hey." He greeted, "Feeling better."

"Yep." She replied, "I would have been out here hours ago, if it wasn't for the earthquake and my dad demanding that it hadn't damaged my head."

"That's parents for you." He commented causing Amy to grin, "And speaking of parents."

"She was the most terrifying woman I had ever met. She made James look like a kind, warm, caring person." Amy explained, "It was so awkward."

"I saw." Drake told her.

"To be honest, I think Josh was a bit disoriented still."

"Huh?"

"When he woke up, he walked into a wall and apologised to it."

Drake burst out laughing and then looked up to see Amy laughing herself slightly, "I told Kyle when he came in. He said some green defenders never change."

Drake laughter slowly stopped. Kyle seemed pretty open to talking about the Jr defenders despite what James claimed. Maybe could ask more about Jack so he could live up the legacy because even though Kyle said they didn't, the Jr defenders had an amazing legacy to follow and Drake certainty didn't want to let Kyle down.
