"Okay." Harvey said standing in the middle of that forest with a stolen white board behind him. It had been a week since his confrontation with Kyle and Ivar had been less than impressed when he discovered that they had yet failed to capture another defender, who was alone and basically unharmed, "This time I suggest that we capture the red and blue defenders."

"And what makes you think that this capture would be any different?" Neri asked with a wispy voice. It sounded like she had caught a cold but it was just down to old age. Technically, she should have passed away years ago but the oracle had provided a 'cure' that had stopped that from happening.

"Because red and blue are dark colours." Harvey announced, "If we attack at night again then hopefully they wouldn't realise that they are missing two defenders."

"I think I just realised why we are failing." Ivar muttered under his breath. His arms were crossed and he was leaning against one of the many trees in the forest, "I have employed an idiot."

~Ooooo~

Apparently 'everything is going to be okay' meant leaving Kyle in the den alone in order to 'cool off' as James put it. In his personal opinion, Kyle didn't think he needed to cool off, he had already done that via the massive rant and the last thing he wanted since Harvey's one to one attack was to be alone. Another thought came forth into Kyle's mind; he couldn't help but compare social tactics James used to the ones Jack used. The yellow defenders knew that Jack would not have left him alone if he did a rant like that in front of him. In fact, Kyle was positive that Jack would have probably hand cuffed themselves together in order to make a point that Kyle wasn't alone and Jack was willing to listen.

The door slowly creaked open, the yellow defender glanced up to see who dared spoke and who was brave enough to the vicious boy at this hour. To his surprise it was James. He walked into the den very awkwardly. He looked down at the black bean bag and hesitated before uncomfortably sitting down in it and facing Kyle, who knew what was about to happen, a lecture.

"I think we both know what you said to your team mates was very out of line." He started off and frankly, Kyle wished that he started with something else. It meant that now most of the lecture/conversation would eventually lead into him, "We both know that they are doing great as first time defenders and the Jr defenders probably would be proud of them."

Kyle nodded in agreement. He did generally agree with what James had just said and didn't nod just because it was what James wanted to see. The mentor then continued speaking, "Now, what you 'said' about me."

They was a pause as if James was trying to think of the best way to lead into this conversation, "Most of what you said was right, I wasn't there to mentor you for most of the year, I probably didn't have the right to comment like you did and I did take away your Dino DNA when you needed it the most but I knew what I was doing and I knew what the Jr defenders strengths and weakness were, I have all of your records. So I resent the second part of your argument and thirdly, I know how hard all of this has been on you. You've only been living at the Castle for nine months and already you have been separated from your parents from Ivar's doing and defender doings, you have lost your team mates and the only people, who I presume, actually understood you but you really did need to open up about this Kyle. I didn't realise that you felt like they were being forgotten, that their legacy was being wiped away. I would never let that happen and I do remember them every day, I even remember some of the conversations we had-"

"Me too." Kyle interrupted so softly that James almost missed it, "I run through the last thing that they ever said to me and it repeats through my head every single minute of the day. It feels like if I don't do that then I will forget it and I will forget them. It's going to happen, I've forgotten what JCD stands for and I can barely remember out Overdrive names. Also I'll be alone here and I'm fed up of being alone. I was alone during my primary, junior and middle school years and I'm alone now."

"You're not alone!" James said interrupting Kyle this time, "Yes, you may be the only one with mutant powers but you are not alone. You have Amy, Drake, Josh, Zoey and me."

"Pfft, if they will still talk to me that is."

"Of course they'll talk to you, they understand now how much you're hurting and truthfully, they feel really guilty." James explained causing Kyle to look up in confused. What did they have to feel guilty about? James smiled as if he could read Kyle's mind, "About doubting themselves and only caring about themselves. This is what they said not me, they thought that because to you were the leader that you would automatically be okay and to be honest, it never occurred to me that you wouldn't be okay. When the changing of team members happened, you went from 5th Jr defender positon to 1st without any training or skills. Truthfully, I'm surprised you didn't break earlier."

Kyle remained in silence unsure of how to respond or what to do. He knew that if he went down to the basement to see his friends then he would be blasted with pity and he didn't want that. That was one of the things he had tried to avoid by not saying anything. James stood up off the black bean bag and headed for the door; he opened it but stopped in the frame and turned around.

"Justice Control Defence." He said and Kyle looked up at him, "JCD, it what it stood for and also, if my memory serves me correctly, your Overdrive names were Mountain Cruiser, Wind Storm, Desert Fire, Bright Star and Dark Lightning?"

"Yep, that all rings a bell." Kyle said smiling for the first time in days, "Though I never understood why we were called those names."

James smiled, "They just sounded cool."

Ivar, Neri and Harvey were all sitting down on the logs situated around the glowing fire that kept them warm through-out the days and nights. The robosaurs were in sleep mode, waiting to be activated for the fight. Ivar gave a sigh of boredom.

"Should I just attack now?" Harvey asked in response to the sigh.

"If you like." Ivar replied bored and frankly not caring anyway. Whether day or night, the defenders were bound to notice that they were two people down, "It's your plan."

Harvey nodded as he sat up and slowly walked over to the robosaurs and activated them. The start-up noise started, which always reminded Harvey of windows 8 start-up sound. He smiled as he registered that thought. So much had changed since then…since he had power.

The defenders society had employed him to look after the Canadian defenders after, well the whole Gildar debacle and it was his job to keep them in check and make sure they do and good job defending, then two years later the first brat arrives followed by the rest. Of course, he knew those kids would be trouble from the start and Harvey guesses that's where the hatred of them came from.

Despite not knowing about his existence until Ivar mentioned a yellow defender. He knew that it must have been Vane and Faetal's kid. Harvey didn't like Kyle either but the hatred wasn't as strong towards him as it was for the others and maybe that's why the attacks had become less frequent since he had been in charge of the dino time defender, like he was giving him a chance to fight back or at least mess up.

Harvey walked out of the forest with the Robosaurs in tow, he jumped into the jeep that Ivar had 'borrowed' off a Handsomeville citizen and drove in the direction of Pearl Canyon.

It had been two hours since James had talked to Kyle and the yellow defender had decided to stay in the den, isolated from everyone else. It was a familiar feeling, loneliness so Kyle wasn't surprised when it arose back up making it feel like the past year or so hadn't counted and having friends was a blip in his life.

Kyle had moved off the bean bag and was standing up in front of his picture; he had started drawing earlier in the year. The clothe that covered the painting was lying on the floor next to it. Originally, it was going to be a birthday present for Danny, as his was coming up soon hence the clothe but now it had turned into a task to finish.

He wasn't sure when he started drawing or painting but it had been t a young age. His 3rd Grade teacher picked up on his talent and made him attend art club to improve it. Overtime it did and Kyle could draw almost anything, his speciality being people and countryside sites. The painting part of the picture was his favourite as it required a lot of patience and accuracy, something he needed as a life skill to be a defender…apparently.

Kyle dipped the tip of his brush into the green paint and was about to add colour to his painting when a knock at the door stopped him. Kyle gave a sigh of both relief and annoyance. Relief for the fact that he wasn't painting on his picture otherwise it would have made him jump and ruin the painting and annoyance for the fact that he couldn't finish it, he was so close.

"Yes!" Kyle shouted as he put his paint brush down by his paints. He took his apron off and walked over to the door. To his surprise, Drake was standing there trying to hide the fact that he felt awkward visiting Kyle after James had specifically said that he wanted Kyle to be alone.

"Some robosaurs have been located in the park." Drake informed him sheepishly. He didn't know how Kyle would respond.

"I'm not allowed out even to fight until I have 'cooled off' remember?" Kyle replied shrugging and feeling guilty, he did want to help his friends but James had put scanners on the door that would indicate whether Kyle had left the room or not.

"It's just there are two sites and I-we thought you could go solo again." Drake told him hoping that he would break James's rule and help them.

Kyle shut the door slightly and disappeared back into the room for a few moments. Drake didn't know whether to stay where he was or go and fight the robosaurs. He heard movement in the room via the floor boards creaking but it was no actually indication to when Kyle would go with them. To the red defenders relief, Kyle opened the door slightly and peered around.

"How familiar are you with the film Frozen?" He asked to Drake's confused face.

"I've watched it. Why?" Drake asked intrigued.

"Do you remember the scene where Elsa builds an ice stair case?"

"You're not!"

"Only way out of here!"

~Ooooo~

Harvey was peeping around a street corner which looked directly into the park entrance where his magnificent Robosaurs were currently destroying plants and benches. He smirked while he was waiting for the unsuspecting defenders to join him… and on que…

"Raptorex!"

"Pterodactyl!"

"Triceratops!"

"Vulcanodon!"

"Tyrannosaurus!"

He was blinked his eyes trying to focus them as the coloured flashes were hideously bright and could blind anyone up close. Harvey watched the defenders kick and punch the robosaurs down the ground. Of course he kept a close eye on the red and blue defenders and watched intensively as they karate kicked robosaurs causing them to fly a few metres back in the air. He had researched the pair online and discovered that they learn karate every Wednesday, so there skills weren't a surprise. What was a surprise though was how the blue defenders, after striking down a robosaur, would also look at the yellow defender.

Harvey walked out from behind the street corner with the teleportation device in his hand ready. He crept through the park gates and hoped the defenders backs would stay turned. He ducked as pieces of robosaur came flying at him. Slowly, he got nearer the two wanted defenders.

"Hey! Get off me!" The blue one screamed.

"Dude, not funny!" The red one shouted.

The other defenders turned around and Harvey gave a quick smirk at Kyle before activating the teleportation device and disappearing.
