Time to Move On -Chapter 48

~A Teen Wolf fan-fiction collaboration between Miss E Charlotte and Sage Londyn~

A few days later, Teagan was walking down the hallway with a huge grin on her face. No matter how hard she tried she could not stop smiling. Ever since she went to go see Isaac during the lacrosse game they were official together and she couldn't be happier.

She just hated that they had not been able to see each other much or even talk much.

With him still being the prime suspect in his dad's murder case he needed to stay hidden out of sight, plus it gave Derek more time to train him and the other two, Erica and Boyd. And the kanima was still out there; they still had no clue who it was, but it had Derek on edge especially after it trapped him, Stiles and Avery in the pool, but since that night things had been kind of quiet, which Derek assumed was just the calm before the storm before things begin to spiral out of control and until the kanima was taken care of, Derek kept a close eye on his pack.

Occasionally Isaac was able to sneak in a few text messages to her, like now. She came to a stop and glanced down at the phone and giggled as she read the text he just sent her about how much he missed her and wished he could see her right now.

She wrote him back, saying the same, then a few minutes later he texted her right back, talking about all the places he wanted to kiss the next time he saw her. She bit her bottom lip and blushed as she read the text.

"Wow! That is hot." Teagan heard someone say behind her.

She felt her eyes go wide as she spun around and laid her hand, which was still holding her phone, against her chest when she saw it was just Avery.

"Jeez A, you scared me." Teagan breathed out.

Avery chuckled then said,"I called your name a couple of times but you were to busy sexting to hear me."

"I'm sorry." Teagan said, as she closed the text and slipped the phone into her pocket.

"Don't be. If I got a text like that I wouldn't pay attention either." Avery joked, then added,"See I knew he would be the type to push you against the wall and run his hands all over you."

Teagan chuckled and blushed again at knowing that Avery saw some of the text, then said,"No I mean I'm sorry you had to see that. I just don't want to be flaunting my new relationship in front of you."

Avery waved that thought away as the two headed for her locker then said,"Are you kidding? I am thrilled that you two finally got together. I've been trying to push you guys together forever remember?"

"I know, but.."

"No buts." Avery said interrupting her, then added,"seriously T, I am so happy for you two and I don't mind hearing about it cause you two are perfect for each other."

"Thank God cause I have been going crazy wanting to tell you how amazing he is." Teagan said with a dreamy look on her face, as she thought about Isaac.

"Have you been able to see him since you two got together?" Avery asked.

"Unfortunately no." Teagan pouted, then added,"I tried to go see him once, but Der... I mean, he who should not be named, was not happy about it."

Avery felt a pang in her heart at hearing Derek's name but she covered it up with a chuckle and said,"You don't have to use a code name for him. I won't fall apart if I hear it."

"Although on second thought, probably should use a code name just in case anyone is listening." She added, namely the Argents, who still didn't know where Derek and his pack were hiding.

"What should his code name be though?" Teagan asked, then added before Avery could answer,"Asshole? Jerk? Jerky asshole?"

Avery laughed as she opened her locker door then said,"We could just stick with 'he who should not be named'. Has a nice ring to it."

"Sounds good." Teagan said laughing back, then started on her story again."Well anyway, he who should not be named was not happy about my visit. He said that it was a hide out, not a place to make out and that he is trying to teach them to survive. He asked Isaac which was more important, staying alive or having a girlfriend."

"What did he say?" Avery asked, although she had a pretty good idea what Isaac's answer would be.

A big grin came over Teagan's face as she said,"He looked at me with a smile and said nothing was more important than his girlfriend."

"Ugh, you two are so sickeningly sweet, it's disgusting." Avery said, as she made a face, then she begin to laugh as she said,"I'm just kidding. You two are adorable and I love it."

"That's pretty much what Erica said, minus the just kidding part." Teagan said with a eye roll.

"Yeah well Erica's a bitch. Just ignore her." Avery pointed out.

"He who should not be named wasn't amused either." Teagan said.

"You should definitely ignore him." Avery said back. She shut her locker door then added,"So sounds like things are great in Teagan land."

"Yeah other than the fact that I don't get to see my boyfriend cause the police still think he killed his dad. Then there is the whole werewolf thing and kanima thing." Teagan said quietly for only Avery to hear, then added,"And the Jackson thing."

"What Jackson thing?" Avery asked confused, as she leaned back against her locker.

"I worry how he's going to take it, you know, me and Isaac dating. I don't want to hurt him." Teagan explained.

"You worry to much, Jackson will be just fine. I mean sure he won't like it, but you're happy and that is all that matter. He'll get over it." Avery said, then added,"He moved on the first time you two broke up, he'll do it again."

"Yeah move on right to my best friend." Teagan pointed out, then added with a laugh,"I guess if he did that again he would move on to you next."

"Ew! I could never date Jackson." Avery said, as she made a face, then added,"For one, he's your ex and unlike Lydia, I don't date friend's exs. Two, he's just so not my type and three..."

"You're not ready to date." Teagan said interrupting her, thinking that was what she was going to say.

"Well actually..." Avery said mysteriously.

"Wait, are you trying to say that you are ready to start dating again?" Teagan asked surprised.

"I can't keep crying over him forever, he made his choice and I'm making mine. I'm moving on." Avery said hoping she sounded braver then she felt.

What she felt for Derek was still there and would always be there, but since being a alpha and forming a pack was more important then her, there was no need to be sitting around waiting for him, he wasn't coming back and she was finally starting to realize that.

She couldn't help but feel envious of Teagan, having Isaac pick her over everything, that is what she needed, someone who would put her above anything and she knew who that person was, the person who has been there for her a lot lately and has always been there in the background, she just never noticed him till now.

"I'm proud of you A, I really am." Teagan said with a smile, then asked,"so is there a certain person you are thinking of dating?"

"Maybe." Avery said, smiling.

"Is it a certain shaved headed boy we both know that has not left your side lately?" Teagan asked, meaning Stiles.

"It's possible that is who I am thinking of." Avery said.

Teagan giggled then said,"That is great Avery, seriously it is, Stiles is crazy about you and I have no doubt that he would treat you the way you deserve."

"I think he will too. I mean he has been so great lately and I know he has always been great toward me, but I don't know it's just something about him lately. I can't stop thinking about him."

"Ah! This is so great. You're going to date Stiles, which is a sentence I thought I would never say." Teagan said with a laugh.

"Well... not yet. He's got to ask me out first." Avery said back.

"Why don't you just ask him? You two have been hanging out so much lately, so just ask him." Teagan suggested.

"Cause one the biggest problems with Stiles is he never goes for what he wants. He needs to start taking control of his life." Avery said back.

"Take life by the balls." Teagan added.

"Exactly! He needs to be the one to step up and ask me out." Avery said.

"So if he asked you out, you would definitely say 'yes'?" Teagan asked her.

Avery nodded her head then said,"I would definitely say yes."

Teagan smiled at her answer as the bell rang, signaling the start of class, the the two friends to walk down the hall toward their first class, never noticing that Scott was around the corner and heard everything they said.

He smiled, happy for his friend, then turned to walk off to find him to tell him he needed to go after the girl of his dreams.

~(Later that day)~

Avery stopped at her locker on the way to the cafeteria to drop her books off.

"You're really not going to come eat lunch with me?" Avery pouted as Teagan walked up to her.

"I can't, I've got a huge test next period and I have got to study." Teagan apologized.

"Fine, but you suck." Avery stated as she shut her locker.

"It's one lunch." Teagan responded with a small laugh.

"Yeah, but since Isaac is still in hiding I have nowhere to sit at lunch. Especially since Mr. Harris has been making Stiles spend lunch cleaning the chemistry room and washing lab equipment." Avery continued as the girls walked down the hallway.

"I'll sit with you tomorrow. I promise, A. Besides, if you're really not wanting to spend lunch alone you could always come to the library with me." Teagan said as they paused outside of the cafeteria.

"Ha. Me? Spend lunch in the library? No thank you, I'd rather eat lunch alone. But it's not like I'll really be alone…" Avery said as she turned and headed into the lunchroom.

"What are you talking about?" Teagan questioned.

Pausing for a moment Avery said, "You know that since word has gotten out that I'm single, there's a few handfuls of guys who won't leave me alone."

Teagan sighed and nodded. You'd have to be blind not to see the attention Avery had been getting lately.

Avery continued on her way flashing Teagan a smile over her shoulder as she walked into the cafeteria.

Teagan shook her head and waved before she headed off to study for her big test.

After going through the lunch line, Avery sat down at the empty table where she often sat with Isaac. Within minutes the table was filled with guys, several of them from the lacrosse team.

Stiles took a deep breath as he walked into the cafeteria; he was on a mission; to finally ask the girl of his dreams out.

He knew he'd have to stay after school that day for detention since he didn't spend his lunch in the chemistry room, but he didn't care.

Scott had overheard Avery mentioning to Teagan that she wished Stiles would just grow the balls to finally ask her out which he'd happily reported back to his best friend.

Stiles' honey brown eyes surveyed the crowded room stopping on Avery, who was now sitting at a table surrounded by guys.

He felt a pang of jealousy at seeing the various guys getting her attention, but then he remembered what Scott had told him; Avery thought Stiles' problem was he was afraid to go after what he wants and what he wanted above all else was her.

Taking a deep breath and gathering the courage he started towards the table, but just as he was only a foot away from the table, Avery stood up and walked away leaving her trash for someone to get rid of for her.

He wondered if she had seen him and that was why she'd fled her table, but he quickly followed her out of the cafeteria.

Avery was heading to the library to spend her lunch with Teagan.

"Avery!" Stiles yelled after her.

Stopping she turned and watched as he caught up with her.

"Hey, what are you doing?" she asked, she was sure Harris had given him lunch detention for the rest of that week.

"I'm trying to talk to you, but you're always running away." He exclaimed frustrated.

She gave him a confused look, "I wasn't running away. I was going to spend lunch in the library with Teagan, I was feeling suffocated in the lunchroom." She admitted to him.

"Oh… I thought you left because you saw me." He explained.

She smiled, "Come on, Stiles. We're friends… I think we've moved past my running from you."

He smiled back, losing his nerve the longer he stayed in her presence.

She glanced around awkwardly as he continued to smile and stare at her in silence.

"Did you already eat?" She asked, not liking the silence.

"No, I can't eat." He replied. His stomach was in knots from nerves and afraid she'd reject him.

"Why? Are you sick?" she questioned, a little worried.

"No." He answered.

"It's not one of those weird mystery meat days… they have pizza today." She explained.

"No that's not why… and the mystery meat isn't that bad." He said as she looked over the row of lockers they were stopped beside.

"Are you kidding me? I swear I got food poisoning from it last year, it's terrible." She argued with a disgusted look on her face.

"Can we not talk about the schools food?" He mumbled, trying to figure out how to ask her out.

"I guess…" she breathed out, starting to get a little irritated.

Another few moments of silence passed and she watched a few of her classmates gather their books from their lockers and head to their next classes early.

"I should probably get going…" She said, breaking their silence.

"Wait… I need to talk to you." He said stopping her.

"You keep saying that, but you're not talking to me…" she started to argue but he cut her off.

"Can you just shut up for a minute?" He nervously exclaimed without thinking first.

She scoffed and opened her mouth to give him a piece of her mind, but before she could he kept talking.

"I'm trying to ask you if you want to go out with me this Friday." He finally blurted out, and then held his breath waiting for her response.

Her light brown eyes widened, "Stiles… did you really just tell me shut up and then ask me out pretty much in the same sentence?"

His eyes grew bigger than hers, "What? No… I wouldn't tell you to shut up."

"You just did tell me to shut up, like 10 seconds ago." She argued, growing amused at his apparent un-comfortableness.

He opened his mouth to apologize but the bell rang signaling the end of lunch.

"Gotta grab my books and get to class." Avery said as she brushed past him and headed off to her locker.

"Are you going to give me an answer?" He called after her, he was starting to wonder if Scott had misheard her.

Turning back around she looked at him as other students started to rush past them.

She playfully narrowed her eyes for a few moments before she smiled and said, "Yes, I'll go out with you."

He didn't respond as he stood frozen in place, already replaying her response over and over in his head.

After a few moments he came back to his senses to see she was gone and the hallway was clearing out.

He silently threw his fists up in the air, in a silent cheer as he now felt like he was on top of the world.

It seemed the impossible had just happened; Avery Dukate had agreed to go out with him.

For that moment, it seemed like life couldn't get any better.

Later that night, Teagan was laid in her bed peacefully sleeping as she dreamed about Isaac. She mumbled his name then rolled over to snuggle against her pillow until she felt her pillow moving and fingers running through her hair. She froze for a moment, wonder who was in her bed, until she heard his voice, telling her to relax, that everything was ok.

"Isaac?" She whispered, as she snapped her eyes open and raised her head to see that it was him laying in her bed.

"Hey pretty girl." He said with a smile on his face, as he pushed a lock of hair behind her ear.

Teagan smiled back then leaned forward to press her lips against his for a heated kiss. It had only been a couple of days since she last kissed him, but it had felt like forever. She had never craved someone as much as she had been craving him. It was like she could finally breath now that he was with her.

Needing to feel closer to him, she sat up on her knees then straddled him as he sat up straight and wrapped a arm around her waist and pulled her against him. The two kissed for a little bit longer until she broke the kiss to rest her forehead against his to catch her breath.

"Please tell me this isn't a dream." She whispered with their foreheads still pressed together.

"It's not a dream." Isaac said, as he softly kissed her lips, then he chuckled and added,"Although sounds like you were dreaming of me."

Teagan blushed as she thought about the dream she was just having about him. She was glad werewolves could not read minds or at least she hoped they couldn't or she would really be embarrassed.

"I'm going to guess by the spike in your heartbeat and the red cheeks that you were dreaming about me and I'm also going to guess it was a dirty dream." He teased with a grin on his face.

Teagan felt her face heat up even more but couldn't help smiling back at him. She loved when he got all cocky and flirty with her. She rested a hand on the back of his head, twirling his hair around her finger as she said,"Who knows maybe if you're lucky I will tell you what happened in the dirty dream."

"So it was dirty?" Isaac asked, as he laid his hands flat on her back.

Teagan leaned down until her lips were inches from his then she whispered,"Very dirty."

Isaac balled his hands in a fist, grabbed a handful of the tank top she was wearing, as he fought the urge to pull her closer and make all of his dirty dreams come true, but he didn't want to push her, even if every part of him was aching for her right now, he would not push her to do something until she was ready.

"So uh, what happened in this dream?" Isaac asked nervously, after he cleared his throat.

"Well we were in my room, talking, kind of like we are now. Then I leaned forward and did this..." Teagan begin to say, as she pressed her lips against his for a gentle kiss. She waited until she felt him kissing her back then she pulled back a little to break the kiss, then pulled back again when he tried to kiss her. She giggled when she heard him quietly moan when she wouldn't let him kiss her.

"Don't pout. This was all part of the dream." Teagan told him with a smile.

"You were teasing me in your dream?" Isaac asked.

"Mm-hm." She answered, as she nodded her head.

"Then what happened?" He asked.

"Then you got tired of the teasing and took matters into your own hands." Teagan answered.

"Like this?" Isaac questioned, as he pulled her toward him and captured her lips for a kiss.

"Exactly like that." Teagan said with a smile, after the kiss.

"You sure? Cause I think we need to try that part again." Isaac said smiling back, as he leaned forward to kiss her again.

The kiss quickly began to heat up and the two couldn't keep their hands off of each other.

She grinned against his lips at feeling how excited he was at the moment. She felt a chill down her spine as she imagined taking that step with him.

She knew they had just got together and they should probably take it slow, but it was like she couldn't get enough of him. The more he touched and kissed her, the more whole she felt. It was like a part of her had been missing all this time but now she had found it, Isaac is what she had been missing and now that she had him, she didn't want to let go.

She felt him kiss down to the side of her neck and rolled her head to the side to give him better access then bit her bottom lip to hold back a loud moan. She arched her back then gasp in surprise when she felt a sharp pain in her back like something stabbing her, followed by feeling what she would guess was a small trail of blood going down her back. She pulled back to look at Isaac and gasp again when she saw his eyes glowing.

"Isaac?" Teagan said softly, trying to get through to him and hopefully calm him down.

Isaac, just realizing what he did to her, quickly removed her from his lap and stood up from the bed as he tried to control his emotions and not wolf out even further than he already had. He couldn't believe he just hurt her, that was the last thing he ever wanted to do.

"I'm sorry." Isaac breathed out, as he looked down at the floor and felt ashamed.

"It's ok." She said back, as she stood up from the bed.

She tried to take a step toward him but he took a quick step back and held out a hand, telling her to stop. He was glad to see that his claws had went away but he still didn't want her anywhere near him and risk hurting her again until he had calmed himself down completely.

Teagan reached out and laid her hand flat against his then intertwined their fingers as she whispered,"It's ok Isaac. You're going to be ok. I'm right here with you."

Isaac closed his eyes and squeezed her hand as he concentrated on her steady heartbeat and voice as she kept telling him it would be ok. Several minutes later, he felt his face shift back to normal then lifted his head to look at her. He couldn't believe he had just shifted in front of her and worse he actually hurt her too.

Teagan wasn't even worried about the cut on her back at the moment as she rushed forward to wrap her arms around his neck to hug him and breath out a sigh of relief. He was scared to put his arms around her though, scared he would hurt her again.

She pulled back to look at him as she asked,"Are you ok?"

"Yeah, but you're not." Isaac said back, feeling guilty all over again, then asked,"Where's your first aid kit?"

"Bathroom. Under the sink." She answered, as she pointed to the bathroom that was attached to her bedroom.

Isaac nodded his head then went into the room to grab the kit. A few minutes later, she was sitting on the edge of the bed with Isaac sitting behind her. He waited for her to pull her tank top up in the back then cringed when he saw the two small puncture wounds. It wasn't as bad as he feared but he still hated himself for hurting her. He carefully cleaned the cut, apologizing when she hissed out in pain.

"You don't have to keep apologizing. It was a accident." Teagan said, as she glanced at him from over her shoulder.

"I thought I had got better at controlling it, but I guess not." Isaac mumbled, as he put a band-aid over the cut. Even though he was done with the cuts, he couldn't stop himself from reaching out and caressing her skin, wanting to feel how soft it was. He heard her took a deep breath as her heart begin to race and could tell she liked it.

She turned her head to glance at him again with a smile on her face then as he wrapped his arm around her waist, resting his hand on her stomach, she leaned back against him. Her back flat against his chest with her head leaned back against his shoulder.

"You will learn to control it better and I'll help you anyway I can." Teagan offered, then added,"Especially since just now was pretty much my fault. I shouldn't have been teasing you."

"I like it when you tease me." Isaac whispered in her ear, causing a tingle down her back. Then he added,"Besides any other time I'm about to lose control I think about you and it calms me down."

"Really?" Teagan asked, as she looked up at him.

Isaac nodded his head then said,"you're on my mind constantly Teagan. Rather it's cause I'm trying to calm myself down or just thinking about you cause I miss you, you are always my first thought."

"You're always my first thought too." Teagan said back with a smile.

Isaac smiled back as he leaned down and softly kissed her lips. She turned around in his arms to face him and ran her fingers through his hair, grabbing a handful of his curls as she deepened the kiss.

After kissing for a while, he pulled back so they could catch their breath then as much as he hated to, he said,"I should get back before Derek notices I'm missing."

"Yeah I meant to ask you earlier how you got away but I got a little distracted." Teagan said with a laugh.

"Glad to be a distraction." Isaac joked.

"You are a very good distraction. The best even." Teagan joked back.

"I'll see you soon." Isaac promised, as he gave her one last kiss then quickly stood up from the bed and made his way toward her bedroom window. He knew if he hung around any longer he would never be able to leave her, it was already hard to do that now.

He gave her a wave then jumped out of the window and landed on his feet below before running away as fast as he could before someone could see him.
