Hey, hey, hey! Wazzup, my peeps?
Disclaimer: LoK…not mine…stupid Nick not airing Korra on TV any more, maybe I don't want to watch on the computer. Maybe the streaming was so high because millions of people decided they wanted to watch the episodes 20 million more times, and maybe if Nick didn't keep changing the time that Korra would air on TV, like what is it? 7? 8? 7:30?
"Hi!" I greeted, squeezing in between the two, waving to both of our visitors. "Uncle Zuko! Hey! Hi! Hi, Uncle Zuko, do you remember me?!" I called, pointing to myself. "I'm the daughter of the spawn of your sister and that guy that foamed at the mouth! Remember? Hi!"
The Fire Lord turned to look at me. He was quiet for a moment before he said, "Of course I remember my only great niece," Zuko smiled. "Although it would be nice if you visited more often."
"Hey, you're the one with the flying dragon, not me," I shrugged. "Oh, and you'll never believe what happened. I-"
"Sorry, Kika, but we don't have time for the catch-up," Tonraq interrupted, actually sounding apologetic.
"Aw, boo," I pouted. "What's up?"
"You should enjoy this," Zuko said, regarding the twins. "We need to check on a secret ice prison in the western tundra."
I cocked my head to the side, looking at first Eska then Desna, both of whom had a small smile slowly stretching across their faces. I giggled, clasping my hands together. "We're going on a field trip~" I sang, rushing to stand between Desna and Uncle Zuko.
We left the building, and Eska and Desna slid into the back seats of Tonraq's vehicle while Uncle Zuko helped me up onto his dragon. Fifteen minutes into the trip, I nudged Uncle Zuko, gaining his attention. "What is it, Kika?" he asked, turning slightly to look at me.
I chuckled nervously, rubbing the back of my head. "Uncle Zuko," I started, a small smile making its way onto my face. "Hehe…Uncle Zuko," I laughed, snorting.
Zuko smiled. "Are you going to say something or are you just going to keep laughing?" he teased.
"I asked Desna to marry me," I exclaimed before breaking off into a fit of giggles.
"You…you what?" he demanded, a look of utter shock covered his face. "And? What did he say?" he demanded.
"Oh. He said no," I replied, my giggles stopping. Zuko sighed in relief, closing his eyes. "But then I changed his mind, so when we get older we're going to get married."
"What? But…why? You're so young," Zuko started. "Shouldn't you think about this harder? It is your future after all."
"Well, who else would put up with me?" I shrugged, smiling slightly. "He's the only guy I've ever met who deals with me and actually seems to enjoy my company."
"Oh, that's not true-" he started.
"Besides, I love him," I grinned. "And, anyway, we got off topic. What I really wanted to say is that…well…when Desna and I do get married, I was wondering if you would walk me down the aisle? As my honorary father figure?"
A few minutes of stunned silence followed before Uncle Zuko smiled, and nodded. "Of course I will," he agreed.
"Yay!" I cheered, hugging him from behind. "Now tell me a story!"
Uncle Zuko sighed, shaking his head slightly. "Okay, this is a story about your great-great Uncle Iroh," he started. "The two of us travelled to Ba Sing Se to lie low for a while, and Uncle Iroh began working at a tea shop…"
… … … … … … …
After another hour and a half of travelling, we landed, Tonraq pulling up beside us, and putting his car in park. Uncle Zuko helped me back down, and I took my place in between him and Desna as we made our way into the super high security prison. "Why didn't anyone tell us we have a secret prison we could have been throwing people in?" Eska demanded, sounding annoyed as we walked in to the building, which was no warmer than outside in the blizzard.
Desna looked around and said, "I'd like to put my tailor in here-" lifting his arm to eye level "-He never gets my cuffs right. They're so," he paused to think. "Crease-y."
"You know you could just iron them yourself if you don't like the way they're creased," I replied, earning a glare from Desna. "Or you can just get a new tailor. You don't have to use that guy." A door opened, revealing one of those new elevators that Varrick invited some time ago.
The five of us filed in and took our seats: the twins and I in the back and Tonraq and Uncle Zuko in the front. As it began going down, Uncle Zuko began to explain the purpose of the secret prison. "We built this place secretly with your father-"
"Who hated me," I interrupted quickly.
"Okay, well…We built this place with him to hold a special prisoner," he continued. "She's a powerful firebender named P'Li who can create explosions with her mind. Ironically-"
"Like Combustion Man!" I exclaimed.
"Well that's not his name, but-" Uncle Zuko broke off, turning to face me. "Who told you about him?" he demanded.
"Grandma Azula," I replied. "She told me this one time about the time when they hooked up and that's how Auntie Zori came into being."
Uncle Zuko put his head in his hands, breathing deeply. "Alright, well, P'Li is your Aunt Zori's daughter. Now where was I?" he asked, sighing.
Tonraq turned to the Fire Lord, laying a comforting hand on his shoulder. "You were saying 'ironically-'" he offered.
"Right!" Uncle Zuko held up a finger, as if making a point. "Ironically, I hired a guy with similar abilities to kill the Avatar myself once-" there was an awkward pause and Zuko looked around before saying defensively, "It didn't work."
He turned forward again, and I thought it was the end of the conversation, but Eska spoke up. "Don't feel bad," she said. "I tried to kill Korra after she ruined my wedding-" Tonraq turned slightly to look at her, slightly worried. "-it happens."
Tonraq turned to the twins. "Let's just focus on keeping this woman in prison," he said before standing and walking out of the elevator.
The rest of us followed after him. The "room" was ginormous and filled with ice and snow, and it was absolutely freezing, and it looked like the only way to get to the cell in the middle of the room as a bunch of stairs. "Are we gonna have to climb all those?" I asked, feeling tired just thinking about it.
Tonraq and the twins looked at each other, nodding in silent understanding, moving their arms in unison. Suddenly the floor was moving, stretching across the gap over to the cell. "The intense cold keeps her from firebending," Zuko explained.
"There's certainly no way anyone's breaking out of here," Desna replied, his breath visible.
"That's what we thought about the other three prisons," Zuko countered as we came to a stop when we reached solid ground.
"Oh~" a female voice shivered. "There's something exciting going on. No one interesting has visited me in thirteen years."
"No one's visited her in thirteen years?" I asked. "That's so sad! I'll visit you!" I told her as Tonraq warned, "Don't get used to it."
"He's out, isn't he?" she asked, moaning. "Mmm, I'm feeling warmer already."
There you have it! That took longer than expected, but now it's done!
Last night I had a dream that I was in Legend of Korra, but LoK was in a modern high school setting, and we were in a toy store and Desna died, but I wouldn't believe it and I kept searching for him.
