Hey there! Sorry for the long delay in chapters! Blame school, the accursed establishment!

Disclaimer: Silly ducklings, LoK ain't mine, but I wish I did because of that Book 3 premier!

"Get it? Warmer? It's reference to her firebending and also…oh…ew!" I shook my head. "A sexual innuendo! The guy who got out must be her lover or something!"

"Wait a minute," Desna interrupted, his eyes narrowing as he turned to Zuko and Tonraq. "You said the other three escaped?"

"Yes, that's right," Zuko replied.

"And they're on their way here, correct?"

"Yes," Zuko nodded.

"I demand Kalika leave," he stated, lifting his chin in the air in an important sort of way as he pointed an accusatory finger at me.

"Wait, what?" I asked, blinking. "Why? That's not fair!"

"You have no remarkable abilities, and if these three are as skilled as our uncles have led us to believe, we will have our hands full trying to fight them off. It would only make it harder on us if we have to watch out for you as well."

"But that's not fair!" I whined, stamping my foot. "Eska, tell him how unfair that is!"

"My apologies, Kalika, but I agree with my brother on this matter," she replied.

"Where am I supposed to go?" I demanded. (A/N: I just really want to make a Starkid reference here).

"Come with me," Zuko offered, finally finished arranging the guards. "Actually, could all if you come outside. I'd like to do a sweep of the territory, in case Zaheer and the others are already here. After that, Kalika, you can ride Druk back to the castle."

"Nah, I'll stay here," I replied, shrugging, following after the others. "You guys forget, I'm an Airbender now, besides I've always had super-ish strength, and-"

We stepped outsides, and Uncle Zuko called for his dragon, quickly mounting him once he landed. Once he took off, the four of us stood, staring after the dragon for any signs of trouble.

… … … … … … …

"Did you see Zaheer?" Tonraq questioned when Druk landed once again.

"The only thing I saw was a snowstorm heading our way," Zuko replied.

Tonraq followed his gaze, narrowing his eyes. "That isn't a snowstorm. That's him."

Desna pushed me back; telling me to stay out of the way and to keep out of sight, then took off after his sister, uncle, and Zuko. Tonraq made the first move, and the twins began to face off against some lady with no arms. She weaved through the large ice shards and slingshoted (A/N: Is that a word?) herself into the air, spinning around to trap Desna and Eska in ice.

"Dessy Bear!" I exclaimed before slapping my hands over my mouth. Desna told me to stay out of the way!

Yeah, but that was before he was trapped in a block of ice!

He'll be mad if I don't do what he said!

Well, he'd be mad if you let him die!

I…You're right!

Of course I'm right, I'm your conscience.

Really? I actually have one of those?

Obviously, you're talking to me!

\well, where were you when I made all those stupid decisions about life?!

They seemed like good ideas at the time~

What kind of conscience are you?!

I'm the only one you got, so deal with it!

Stop yelling at me!

I'm not, and technically, I am you.

Yeah, but…what were we talking about?

I…don't know, but I have a feeling it was important.

I turned back to the battle, watching the armless lady drill into the ground. I took that as my chance, running over to the twins. "Don't worry, guys. I'll get you out of here!"

"I thought I told you to stay out of sight," Desna grunted, struggling against the ice.

"Yeah, but then my conscience told me that you'd die if I didn't come out to help you," I replied, taking a fighting stance that I'd seen Tenzin do countless times. Spreading my feet apart, I thrust out my hands, shouting, "Airbend!" I waited a few seconds to see if anything would happen, and when nothing did, I repeated the action. "Why won't this work?!"

"Kalika, look out-" Eska began.

"Meep~" I squeaked, spinning out of the way as cousin P'Li shot a spark of mind-flames in my general vicinity. "Hey! Watch out for my boyfriend, you jerk!" I growled, shaking my fist at her. She flew back as though a giant gust of wind had…oh… "Hey, I air bended!" I grinned, turning to the twins. "See? I did it! Totally not useless!"

"That's magnificent, Kalika, but maybe if you could use that to get us out of this ice…" Eska trailed off.

"Not until Desna admits how wrong he was," I stated, tilting my chin in the air.

"What? That's completely unreasonable-"

"Go on, brother, apologize," Eska commanded.

"But it's ridiculous to-"

"Just do it!"

"But-"

"Do you want to remain in a block of frozen water for the rest of eternity or would you rather be able to embrace your girlfriend once more?!" Eska shouted, angrily.

Desna remained quiet for a long time, before finally opening his mouth, a hint of pink on his cheeks. "You're right. Kalika, I apologize for saying you would only be a burden. I was wrong."

I stood there, pursing my lips in thought. "Well? Is Desna forgiven?"

I cocked my head to the side. "Desna, tell me how ultimately wonderful I am, and how bleak and meaningless your life would be without me?"

"You are seriously pushing it," he stated.

"Eh, just testing the limits," I shrugged, taking another air bending pose. Again nothing happened. "Come on~" I whined. "Why does this keep happening?!"

"It appears that until you receive proper training, you can't control when exactly you bend," Eska guessed. "But, since you were angry when you bended at P'Li, it leaves me to assume that strong emotion draws out your bending. So, Kalika, get angry!"

I blinked, trying to take in her words. "But…I try not to be angry about anything…"

"What's something that's bothered you and hurt you for a long time? Don't you want to make it better? So, get angry!"

My eyes fell on Desna, helpless in his ice block, and I bit my lip. "You guys left me," I said.

"What?"

"You left me and Bolin! You abandoned us and…and…broke up with us and you-" I broke off. "How could you leave me alone like that, Desna?! I thought I was important to you, and you just leave? You just let me go? What's with that? Is it because I stole that picture of you and your mom? Because…I'll give that back…I just..."

I broke off into a fit of sobs, plopping down on the ground.

"That was just about the opposite of helpful," Desna said. "Have any more bright ideas, Eska? Maybe one that will make Zuko cry, perhaps?"

"Shut up, brother."

Well, there you have it! I'm tired, so I'm sorry if nothing makes sense! I've been trying to get this chapter written since last Tuesday, but alas…

Thanks for the reviews, follows, and favorites (all of which are vehemently welcomed!)!

Loves and hugs, dearest minion hoard!

Yours psychotically,
