Don't Come Crying to Me -Chapter 58

~A Teen Wolf fan-fiction collaboration between Miss E Charlotte and Sage Londyn~

The next morning, Teagan was running as fast as she could down the sidewalk, hearing the steady thump of her footsteps as they hit the cement. She took a deep breath then blew it out as she picked up speed to run up a small hill then felt bad when she heard Aspen panting beside her.

She slowed down a little, but tried to keep a steady pace. She normally didn't run him this hard on their morning runs but with Isaac still constantly on her mind she was hoping the harder she pushed her body, the more the pain from that would outweigh her heart ache.

Unfortunately that wasn't the case though. Now not only was her body hurting from the hard run, but her heart still hurt too. No matter what she did she couldn't stop thinking about Isaac. Even eating her weight in peanut butter and ice cream last night didn't help.

When she saw her house up ahead she begin to slow down and was surprised to see Avery sitting on her porch steps playing on her cellphone. Avery looked up from the phone when she heard someone approach her. A relieved look appeared on her face when she saw it was Teagan.

"There you are… where have you been? I've been calling you and texting you. I was starting to get worried." Avery said, as she stood up from the step she had been sitting on.

"Took... Aspen... running." Teagan said in between breaths.

"For a hour!" Avery exclaimed, then added, "You never take him running this long unless ... "

She paused for a moment as a thought hit her. She knew what was going on now. Something must have happened and her best friend was hurting.

"What happened? Who's ass am I kicking today?" Avery asked angrily, as she folded her arms across her chest. Whoever hurt her best friend was going to get it. She already had enough on her plate and didn't need some douchebag making her life worse.

"I've taken Aspen on long runs before." Teagan said, avoiding the question.

"Not often though and by the looks of it was a hard run, which you definitely don't do often. I know you don't like to push Aspen that hard unless you are upset and hurting." Avery pointed out, then added, "So talk to me T, what is going on?"

"I gotta feed Aspen." Teagan said still avoiding things, as she walked passed Avery to unlock the front door and walk inside.

"Is it the Jackson thing? Are you worried about him?" Avery guessed, as she walked in behind her and followed her into the kitchen.

She watched as Teagan opened a can for Aspen then added, "Cause we're going to find a way to help him T, I promise. Plus that's kind of why I'm here so early. I talked to Stiles a little bit ago and we're going to meet him, Scott and Allison in the library to try to come up with a plan since you were able to translate most of the bestiary."

"That's good." Teagan said with a nod. She held out the empty dog food can then asked, "Hey can you throw that away for me while I grab some water?"

Avery wrinkled her nose as she grabbed the can and held it carefully in between two of her fingers then walked over toward the trash can.

She opened the lid to toss it in and was surprised when she say an empty can of peanut butter and an empty carton of chocolate ice cream. She tossed in the dog food can then turned to call out, "Ok seriously T, what the hell is going on?"

Teagan turned away from the sink, holding Aspen's water dish in her hands. She sat the dish down for him then looked at Avery in surprise as she asked, "What are you talking about?"

Avery placed her hands on her hips then said, "I'm talking about you taking long runs and eating all the peanut butter and ice cream. I know what that means T. We have been doing it for years. You're heart broken, so tell me what happened."

Teagan pulled out one of the stools from the side of the island that was in the middle of her kitchen then sat down with a sigh. She placed her elbows on the counter and rested her head in her hands. She took a deep breath then said softly, "Isaac broke up with me."

"What?" Avery called out in shock, then added, "No, not possible T, the boy is in love with you."

"Apparently not enough." Teagan said, as she looked down at the counter with tears in her eyes.

"No. This makes absolutely no sense to me." Avery said, as she shook her head. She took a step toward Teagan, standing across from her, then asked,"Are-are you sure you heard him right?"

Teagan gave out a bitter chuckle then said, "Trust me there was no way to misunderstand that."

"What did he say?" Avery asked.

"Basically he wants me to have a normal life so my life isn't constantly in danger and then he left me crying against a tree." Teagan answered, giving her the short version.

"That son of a bitch." Avery said angrily.

"Avery!" Teagan said, as she shot her a look. Just cause she was upset with Isaac, she didn't want Avery to be mad at him too and ruin their friendship.

"No, T, this is bullshit. How dare he just dump you and hurt you for no good reason." Avery pointed out, then added, "I mean I don't agree but I do see where he is coming from but still it's a stupid reason to dump someone. Even without the whole werewolf thing, life can still be dangerous. You can walk outside right now and get hit by a car and die."

As Teagan nodded her head, agreeing with her, Avery groaned out angrily then said, "I am so giving him a piece of my mind the next time I see him."

"A, don't. We already have enough to handle right with the kanima thing and trying to save Jackson. The last thing we need is for you to get into it with a werewolf." Teagan pointed out.

Avery sighed, knowing she was right and hated it. She really wanted to have it out with Isaac for hurting her, but knew now was not the time. She walked around the island to wrap her arms around Teagan, giving her a hug, as she said, "I'm so sorry T. I never thought he would hurt you like this."

"Me either." Teagan quietly agreed with tears in her eyes.

Teagan thought after last night she was all cried out, but the longer Avery hugged her, she couldn't stop the tears from falling from her eyes and the next thing she knew she was breaking out in a sob on her best friend's shoulder.

"There you are." Avery said with a smile as she leaned against the locker beside Allison.

"Hey." Allison said with a friendly smile.

"You were supposed to meet us in the library." Avery reminded her.

"I was headed there… Gerard had me in his office." Allison said quietly.

"Oh…" Avery said looking around them.

"Ready?" Allison asked.

"Let's go." Avery said as she looped her arm with her friends and they headed into the library.

The girls walked down an isle where they found Teagan, out of sight from the cameras.

"Aren't Scott and Stiles supposed to meet us?" Allison asked Teagan.

"They're here." She said nodding to the next isle.

"Oh." Allison said with a small laugh as she pulled her tablet computer from her bag and passed it through the books to them.

Teagan moved several books so that they could see each other through the shelves.

"This is everything I was able to translate." Teagan whispered.

Scott looked through the translation while Stiles pretended to read a book.

"I accidently left this out and open last period, and Lydia saw it. She was really confused." Allison admitted to them.

"What?" Avery and Teagan gasped.

"What did you tell her?" Scott asked wide-eyed.

"I told her that we were part of an online gaming community that battles mythical creatures." Allison admitted with a laugh.

Teagan and Avery exchanged looks, Scott laughed and Stiles said, "I am part of an online gaming community that battles mythical creatures."

"Oh… great…" Allison said awkwardly.

"Of course you are." Avery whispered playfully as she rolled her eyes.

"Wait, wait, wait. Lydia just bought that story? That the three of you were part of this online gaming community?" Scott asked looking up at her surprised.

"I was kind of shocked too." Allison admitted.

"I'm not that shocked." Teagan spoke up.

"T! we're not supposed to repeat it." Avery whispered nudging her.

"Repeat what?" Stiles asked.

"We vowed to never talk about it." Avery quickly answered.

Ignoring her friend Teagan said, "Avery and I used to be part of an online gaming community like that too, we loved it! But once Lydia found out about it she called us losers and we deleted our accounts."

"And pinky promised we'd never speak about it." Avery reminded her with arched eyebrows.

"You two… seriously?" Scott asked looked between them.

"We were really good too, we worked together on it. I loved the intellectual aspect and Avery liked the dark themes and violence." Teagan explained laughing as she remembered how they'd be on the computer for hours and hours playing.

"That's… cool." Allison said looking between them, not sure what to say.

"Yeah, Teagan's really a nerd." Avery said with a smile.

"So are you." Teagan joked back.

"Which online community were you a part of?" Stiles asked them.

"Uh-uh, we've already said too much." Avery said cupping a hand over her best friends mouth.

"Does this say how to find out who's controlling him?" Scott asked.

"Not really, but Stiles was right about it killing murderers." Teagan said to them.

"Yes!" Stiles whisper yelled excitedly about being right.

They talked more about it and Scott said, "Okay, well we can take what we know to Jackson."

"Uh, no you can't. Hello, restraining order!" Avery reminded them.

"Then how are we going to talk to him?" Stiles asked the group.

"He doesn't have a restraining order against us." Allison chimed in.

"He'll be a lot more likely to actually listen to me. I'll talk to him." Teagan finally said, her voice a little braver than she felt.

"Not by yourself you won't." Avery quickly said.

"Yeah, Avery and I will come with you." Allison said.

"Then what do I do?" Scott said looking at them.

"You have a make-up exam remember?" Allison asked with a small smile.

Scott and Stiles argued with them for a little bit, not wanting any of them to put themselves in danger.

Finally the boys caved and agreed to let the girls handle it.

~()~

"Are you sure it's a good idea to go in there by yourself?" Allison asked as she, Teagan and Avery headed down a flight of stairs.

"He's more likely to listen if it's just me. Plus he has a restraining order against Scott and Stiles." Teagan reminded her.

Once they reached the hallway, all three girls took their high-heeled shoes off to try and be silent.

"But we will be right outside of the door, if something starts to go wrong you yell for us, T. Don't take any chances." Avery said as they started down the hallway of the locker room.

"I won't, if I start to get any bad feelings… I'll call for you." Teagan assured them.

The three girls came to a stop right outside of the locker room, just as Teagan started to open the door they heard footsteps.

Teagan jumped backwards on the opposite side of the door frame from Allison and Avery.

The door opened and Matt walked out, smiling at the two girls.

"Hey." He greeted them.

Teagan took the opportunity to duck in the room behind him.

"Hey… We were just… uh, nothing. It's nothing." Allison stuttered, taken by surprise. She'd been worried it might have been Jackson coming out of the room.

Avery ignored him as she looked to the door and hoped her best friend would be okay.

"Nice heels." Matt said looking to the shoes in Allison's hands.

"So are yours." Matt said to Avery with a slight look of confusion on his face as he saw both girls holding their shoes.

"I get that a lot." Avery mumbled only half listening.

"Yeah, uh… my feet were hurting so I took them off." Allison explained.

"Same reason I never wear mine." Matt tried to joke with Allison.

"What?" She asked.

"Forget it." He said, realizing she wasn't really paying attention.

"Hey, did you hear about the underground show? Apparently they've got some big names spinning." He said.

"You mean like a rave?" Allison questioned.

"Is it still called a rave if you don't roll? I just call it a party." He said.

"It's a rave." Avery stated flatly as she brushed past him and put her ear to the door of the locker room.

"What is she doing?" He asked Allison glancing back to Avery.

"Uh, so you were talking about a rave…" Allison said, trying to keep him talking and not paying attention to Avery.

"Yeah, I got a friend who can hook us up with tickets if you're down. Want me to get you one?" He asked, keeping his attention focused on her.

Looking at Avery and then back to Matt, Allison replied, "Yeah… that'd be great.

"Yeah? All right, cool!" Matt exclaimed as he walked past her.

"It's Friday so looking forward to it." He said as he walked away smiling.

"What?" Allison breathed out once he was gone.

"Shh!" Avery hissed at her.

~()~

"You're the one who walked into the boys locker room." Jackson said to Teagan in response to her saying he should have warned her he was naked.

"I just wanted to talk, as friends." Teagan replied.

Feeling a little threatened Teagan said, "But we can talk later."

"No. Lets talk now." He said as he put an arm in front of her not letting her leave.

"I should get to class." Teagan argued, feeling her heart starting to race as she realized it wasn't entirely Jackson she as dealing with.

"No, no you don't. You have perfect grades, Teagan. You can skip one class." He said as he leaned in and spoke lowly into her ear.

Teagan gasped slightly and backed farther against the wall.

"Are you okay? Your heart is racing." He said with a smirk.

Breathing heavily from fear Teagan moved past him and started for the door.

"I thought you wanted to talk." Jackson said as he grabbed her arm and stopped her.

"I… I changed my mind." Teagan stuttered as she tripped over some lacrosse equipment on the floor but was able to stay upright.

"You sure? Because you look a little stressed. Is it the whole Isaac thing? I can't believe you think your little Romeo and Juliet story is gonna last. He's all wrong for you T, and you know it. But you and I… that's an entire different story." He said walking towards her.

"You're not in your right mind." Teagan said taking another step back.

"You know he's a part of Derek's little wolf pack, when it comes down to it… he'll pick his pack over you. But me, I'd pick you every single time." Jackson continued.

"Stop it." Teagan said as tears burnt her eyes.

"If you don't realize that then you've got to be the stupidest bitch in this town. Except for Isaac since he's a pretty stupid bitch himself." Jackson hissed.

"Jackson!" Teagan yelled angrily as his words stung her.

~()~

"I'm going in." Avery said as she started into the room.

"Give me your phone, I'll call Scott." Allison said.

Avery shoved her entire purse into her friend's arms and ran into the locker room.

"Stop! Just Stop!" Teagan cried as Jackson continued to hurt her with his words.

"Jackson!" Avery snapped as she rushed to her Teagan's side.

"What are you going to do, Avery?" He asked her, still smirking with a sinister look in his eyes.

"Maybe hand you a towel or something…" She said with a raised eyebrow as he stood naked in front of them.

Teagan grabbed on Avery's arm and gave her a look to let her know it wasn't Jackson they were dealing with.

"What are either of you going to do when Derek and his little pack of bitches turn on all of you?" He asked walking closer.

"What are you doing?" Allison asked with a shaky voice as she joined her friends.

"It's only a matter of time before they turn on all of you. They almost killed Lydia, remember? Who do you really think is going to be next?" He asked walking even closer.

"Certainly not you Allison, or at least that's what you tell yourself. That Scott is different." Jackson taunted.

Allison's heart started to race even faster.

"And not Avery, no… you think they wouldn't kill you because you still think Derek loves you. But tell me this, A… if he loves you so much where is he? He's adding more bitches to his pack instead of watching out for you. Because you're just not that important, you hear me? You're irrelevant!" He yelled, causing all three girls to jump.

In Jackson's state of mind he was remembering all of the times Avery seemed to come between himself and Teagan. How if Avery was in trouble, Teagan would always run to her best friends side.

"Jackson! Stop it!" Teagan shouted as she saw the pained look on both Avery and Allison's faces.

"And you, you try to tell yourself that everything will work out with Isaac, because he's your new love. But it won't work, he's a little bitch who does nothing but follow Derek's orders. So when the entire pack turns on you, and believe me Isaac will be with them. Don't come crying to me!" Jackson shouted at her.

The girls all started to move towards the door but he reached out he grabbed Teagan and pinned her to the wall.

"Because if you really believe all of that, you're already dead." He said, his face only inches from hers as his Kanima claws came out.

"Let her go!" Avery yelled as she tugged on his arm.

Allison looked around for something they could use as a weapon.

"Jackson…it's me. It's Teagan…" She said her voice as clam as possible.

He blinked a few times and grabbed his head groaning in pain as he stumbled backwards and let her go.

He accidently ran into Allison and knocked her down, she scooted away in fear.

"Allison?" he asked confused as he looked at her.

Then he looked back to Avery and Teagan, both girls visibly shaken.

"What the hell are you all doing in here?" He asked them as he quickly found a pair of shorts and pulled them on to cover himself up.

Before anyone could answer the door flew open and Isaac ran in, his eyes stopping on Teagan who was holding onto her throat gasping for air.

"I'm fine." She tried to assure him.

Angrily Isaac lunged at Jackson and threw him backwards into a row of freestanding lockers which fell backwards on impact.

"Stop it!" Teagan shouted, knowing Jackson hadn't had control a few moments prior.

The girls watched as Isaac and Jackson destroyed the room while fighting; walls got cracked, sinks were knocked off the walls and water flooded the floor of the room.

Eventually Jackson got the upper hand and threw Isaac out of the locker room.

He landed on his back with a loud thud in the hallway, Jackson quickly jumped on top of him.

Trying to help and being the closest one standing to them Allison pushed Jackson off of Isaac, Teagan and Avery both grabbed an arm of his and held him back.

Stiles and Scott came running down the hallway and grabbed Isaac as he jumped to his feet and started towards Jackson.

"Everyone stop it!" Allison screamed looking around.

"What in the hell is going on?" Mr. Harris yelled as he stumbled upon the scene.

He surveyed the damage to the school and the water now flooding the hallway.

"What do you idiots think you're doing?" He asked, waiting for a response.

Jackson fought against Avery and Teagan's hold on him, but they used all of their strength to restrain him.

"Jackson calm down!" Mr. Harris ordered, and then looked between Avery and Teagan with a confused look on his face as they held Jackson back.

"McCall, Stilinski… can either of you explain yourselves?" He shouted looking at the two friends.

"Lahey?" He asked, looking at him as Scott and Stiles continued to keep a hold on him.

Their teacher surveyed the hallway again with a look of disbelief on his face.

Walking back down the hallway Matt tried to hand Allison's computer tablet back to her Matt said, "Here, you dropped this."

"All of you… detention three o'clock." He said motioning in a circle to the entire group.
