Well, here I am again.

Disclaimer: Negative

"Remind me to never go on another road trip with you two ever again," I groaned, finally able to move freely outside of the car. "Who knew they would be in Zaofu, right?"

"You know, riding in a car with you for over three consecutive days isn't exactly a walk in the park either," Eska replied, cracking her sore back muscles. "Isn't Zaofu home to some of the strongest metal benders around?"

"Yes! I bet Toph Beifong lives here~" I swooned.

The three of us approached a man with a gold chain going from his ear to his nose. "May I…help you?" he asked us.

"Hello, I'm Kalika and these are the chiefs of the Northern Water Tribe, Desna and Eska," I introduced. "We were sent here by Chief Tonraq and former Fire Lord Zuko to protect the avatar Korra from an incoming threat."

The man smiled warmly, nodding at my explanation. "My name is Aiwei. Please follow me."

… … …

Aiwei led us into a large building in the middle of the city. He brought us into an office that was occupied by a woman who looked an awful lot like Lin Beifong. She stood when we entered, listening to Aiwei as he introduced us. Offering a large smile, she held out a hand, saying "Hello, I'm Suyin Beifong. Please, call me Su."

"Hello, Su," I smiled. "We're here to offer protection to Korra."

"Well, it's always good to have a little extra force when dealing with matters such as these," she replied. "Take a seat. I'll have Korra come in."

"Thank you."

Su walked out of the office, followed by Aiwei. Eska turned towards me. "Who knew you could ever be civil," she mused, a light smirk on her face.

"Hey, I'm a girl of many surprises," I replied, plopping down on a sofa. The twins followed suit, taking the couch across from me.

A few minutes of silence later, the door swung open again. Korra, Mako and Bolin walked into the room. "Korra!" I exclaimed, hopping up to glomp her. "Oh, spirits, I missed you! How have you been?"

"Kalika?" she gasped, hugging me back. "It's been so long! It's been…oh, spirits! How are you?"

"I'm fine! What's been going on?" I asked, pulling away from her.

"Oh, you know, going around, finding new air benders," she shrugged. "All in a day's work for the avatar, right?"

"Oh, so you abandoned me once again to go on another adventure?" I scolded her mockingly. "I am so hurt!"

Korra laughed. "What brings you here?"

"Oh! Right," I tapped my bottom lip, sitting back down. "So I went up to the Northern Water Tribe to win my man back blah, blah, blah. Then your dad and my uncle Zuko come and tell us that someone's going to escape a prison so we go but we can't stop them so the adults are all like 'oh, go protect Korra, you're the world's last hope!'"

"I don't believe either of them said anything like that," Desna interjected.

"Shut up, Dessy Bear," I hissed. "Creative Liberation, ever hear of it!" turning to Korra, I continued. "I had to spend, like, a week in a car with them. So annoying~"

"Turtle-duck, greet me," Eska commanded, watching her ex-boyfriend with narrowed eyes.

"Hi…Eska," the earth bender replied with an awkward smile. "How have you been?"

"Satisfactory. Thank you."

"Oh, and Desna and I are going to get married," I added as if it was an afterthought. "And I'm an Airbender now."

"Wow, that's…wow," Mako said, his stupid eyebrows raised. "Congratulations on…both."

"Thanks, eyebrows," I grinned. "And now we're here to protect you, Korra, like the awesome awesome people we are!"

Korra let out a laugh. "Thanks, Kika."

"And until the Red Lotus makes themselves known, you three will be staying here to make sure you do your duties," Su added as she walked into the room. "We've prepared rooms for you."

"Thank you," I grinned.

"First, I think it'd be best to introduce you to my family, yes?"

I nodded, watching from the corner of my eye as Desna and Eska stood up and walked beside me. Su led us down a hallway and outside into a courtyard. "Those are my youngest, Wei and Wing," she told us, pointing to two identical boys who were playing some sort of metal bending game. "They're playing Power Disc, if you were wondering. They made it up all on their own."

"Desna, you and Eska should make up a bending game," I told him. "Then you might be as successful and deserving of praise as Su's twins."

"I'm successful," Desna insisted. "Chief of the Northern Water Tribe, you know?"

"Eh, I guess that counts for something," I shrugged.

Su led us to another clearing. "And that's my son, Huan," she said. "He's an artist."

"Wow, Huan," I nodded my approval at a sculpture he was using his metal bending to adjust. "That is one great banana! Very lifelike."

"It's not a banana!" he shouted, burying his head in his hands. "Why does everyone keep saying that?"

"Brother, doesn't this seem familiar in away?" Eska asked, taking a step closer to the piece.

"It seems to remind me of Harmonic Convergence," Desna replied, tilting his head to the side to take in the art from a better angle.

"Well, now that you mention it," I bit my lip. "How'd you get that out of it?" I asked my boyfriend quietly as Eska began to chat idly with Huan.

"Eska took many art and interpretations classes," he explained just as quietly. "She'd drag me along as well due to none of the other students understanding her."

"Maybe I should tag along next time…I have a feeling we'll be spending a lot more time with Mr. Artist over here."

"What leads you to determine this?" I jerked my head to point out the two, standing in front of a different piece, lost in avid conversation. "Well, that should lessen the blow when she discovers that Bolin has moved on."

"What do you mean?" I asked quickly.

"Did you not observe the clumsy and awkward behavior of her turtle duck when he first saw her this evening?"

"Yeah, but Bolin's always been clumsy and awkward, especially around Eska," I defended. "Besides Bolin wouldn't mess with my OTP!"

"Oh, and over there is Opal," Su said, pointing to a clearing on a higher level. "She's recently developed air bending."

I craned my neck to get a better look at her. "Oh, she's pretty," I exclaimed as a Bolin-shaped figure approached her, giving her a big hug. "Oh, wow, Bolin did move on."

"I told you, did I not?" Desna retorted, a sly smirk etched on his face.

There it is, kinda short, but with a lot of heart in it.

Feel free to drop a review or something.

Loves and hugs, my minions!
