Lady Balls -Chapter 59
~A Teen Wolf fan-fiction collaboration between Miss E Charlotte and Sage Londyn~
"I never thought I'd get a detention." Teagan said as she leaned against the wall outside of the library.
"Me either." Allison agreed nodding.
"I hate Mr. Harris." Avery grumbled.
"We just have to get through the hour." Stiles said as he walked up and grabbed onto Avery's hand.
She smiled and nodded. Once everyone else joined them they all started into the library.
Mr. Harris looked down at Avery and Stiles' connected hands and sighed as he said, "Separate tables you two."
Avery let go of Stiles' hand and sat down at the table with Teagan and Isaac.
Scott sat down with Stiles and looked over as Allison sat down at a table with Matt and Jackson.
"I have a restraining order against them, I can't be in detention." Jackson informed the teacher.
Harris looked around at all the students, "All of these tools?" He asked.
Avery rolled her eyes and opened her notebook to re-write some notes she'd taken earlier that day in class.
"Just us tools." Stiles said motioning between him and Scott.
"There's enough distance between the tables." Harris snarkily replied as he crossed the room and sat down at the desk.
"What the hell were you thinking?" Isaac asked looking between Teagan and Avery.
Neither girl responded as Teagan pulled a book from her bookbag and began to read.
"Hello?" He whisper yelled in frustration.
"Shh." Avery hushed not looking up from her notebook.
"Teagan, you know what he's capable of… why would you go confront him?" Isaac demanded to know.
"Because unlike you, I'd rather solve a problem then just kill someone." She hissed at him.
"You know I don't want you getting involved in this." He continued.
"Well, it doesn't matter to you what I want; so why should it matter to me about your wants?" Teagan asked, her voice in a low whisper.
"It matters because what I want is for you to be safe and alive." Isaac argued, wishing she would just understand.
Teagan ignored him as she looked back down to her book.
"You shouldn't have put yourself in danger like that." He said again.
Avery looked up at him with an arched eyebrow.
"You either." He argued.
"Isaac, shut up…don't make me tase you again." She whispered, quietly.
His eyes widened and Teagan looked up at her.
"You said you didn't even want to do it the last time." He reminded her.
"True, I did… but that was before you broke my best friends heart. So get off of her back or I'll get my taser." She warned again.
Teagan looked from her best friend over to Isaac before she looked back down to her book again, when she saw Harris was watching their table.
Jackson made a pained noise and rubbed his head. "You alright?" Matt asked him.
"I'm going to the bathroom." Jackson said as he stood up and started from the room.
"Are you alright? You don't look so good…" Mr. Harris observed.
"I just need to get some water." Jackson grumbled as he left.
"No one leaves their seats." Harris instructed as he went after Jackson to check on him.
Within seconds Scott was sitting with them, and Stiles pulled a chair up beside Avery.
"We need to know how Jackson's parents died." Scott said looking at Teagan.
Avery bit her bottom lip and closed her notebook as she looked at him.
"Do you know?" Stiles asked her.
"Not as much as Teagan knows." Avery admitted looking to her best friend.
"I… I promised I wouldn't say anything." Teagan explained.
"We're trying to save him." Scott reminded her.
"I still say killing him would be easier." Stiles cut in.
"I'm on board with that plan." Isaac chimed in.
Both girls shot him an angry look. Jackson had been one of their best friends for years and there was no way they were going to let anyone kill him.
Teagan finally opened up and began to explain to everyone how it was a car accident and they'd kept Jackson's mom on life support long enough to deliver him by C-section.
It was a few moments later that both Mr. Harris and Jackson returned.
Avery breathed a sigh of relief as she saw their teacher packing his belongings up and started for the door. It seemed like the detention was finally over.
Everyone else started to gather their own things when he laughed.
"Oh no. I'm sorry. Yes, I'm leaving but none of you are. You may go when you're done re-shelving. Enjoy the rest of your evening." He said cockily as he left, glancing over his shoulder one more time to soak in the shocked reactions of his troublemaking students.
Everyone groaned as they looked at the 3 overflowing carts of books needing to be shelved.
Once they were in between the shelves and out of view of the cameras, they were able to fill Allison in on what they all knew about Jackson's birth parents.
"So was it an accident or not?" She asked.
"The reports said inconclusive. But I think everyone just kind of looks at it like an accident." Teagan explained.
"But there's a possibility that it could have been murder." Avery reasoned.
"If they were than it falls in line with the Kanima myth. You know, it seeks out and kills murderers." Stiles said nodding.
"Then we have to tell him, explain it." Scott reasoned as he started to walk away.
"He won't listen to anyone… not even me." Teagan said with a look of sadness in her eyes.
It was only moments later when Scott saw that Matt was paralyzed on the floor with the back of neck cut.
"You guys… he's turning." Scott yelled, as Jackson jumped from the top of one book cases to another causing it to rain books down on everyone.
In an instant, Isaac pulled Teagan to the floor with him and used his body as a shield for hers as books continued to fall on them.
Avery let out a small pained noise as Stiles also quickly pushed her down to the ground and wrapped his arms around her trying to keep her safe.
When she heard her friend make a noise Teagan yelled, "Avery!"
"I'm fine!" Avery yelled back, her voice a little muffled from Stiles' shirt.
Once the books stopped falling everyone crawled to the end of the isle and looked as Jackson's skin started to fill with more scales and his eyes were yellow.
Seeming to have no control over his own body, Jackson wrote on the blackboard stand, 'Stay out of my way or I'll kill all of you.'
"Oh my god…" Teagan breathed out, and then looked down to see Isaac was still holding onto her in case something happened.
The lights continued to flicker and make popping noises as Jackson jumped onto a book shelf and then out of a window.
Once he was gone they called an ambulance for Matt who wasn't only paralyzed but also unconscious.

Stiles and Avery walked to her front door after school that day.
As she unlocked it and opened it she heard her dad cussing from the kitchen.
"Dad?" Avery called out.
"Damn it, Avery!" He yelled back.
Stiles and Avery exchanged confused looks as they started down the hallway.
"Watch where you're stepping." He warned.
They both looked down to see several of the expensive bottles of alcohol that stayed on the counter, broken on the floor.
"Why did you damn me, I didn't do it." Avery responded with an arched eyebrow.
"No… but your kitten did." Richard said as he opened up a cabinet door that was cracked.
They all saw the little black kitten curled up sleeping on the bottom shelf.
"That little kitten did all of this?" Stiles asked looking down to the floor again.
"She's done worse." Richard stated flatly.
Stiles' eyes widened, he'd never have imagined Annabel would be so destructive.
"I'm sure she didn't mean to." Avery defended her pet.
"She's so small how did she even get up there?" Richard wondered.
"Judging by the missing paint and scratches in the wood, I think she climbed." Stiles said pointing to the damaged lower cabinets.
Richard let out a heavy sigh and shook his head back forth.
The longer he looked at the small animal the more his angry expression faded.
"It's just so hard to stay mad at her." He finally said.
"I know..." Avery agreed as she smiled at the small animal.
"I don't know why. It's not like we even like cats." Richard continued with a defeated look.
"I know, right." Avery said nodding.
"Neither one of you like cats?" Stiles asked looking between them.
"We never have." Avery explained looking at him.
"Then why did you keep her?" Stiles asked curious about the answer.
"It's those big green eyes." Avery said, with a laugh.
"And she doesn't mean to cause so much trouble, I shouldn't have just had those bottles sitting out anyways." Richard took the blame for the cats bad behavior.
"Come on Annabel." He said as he pulled the kitten from the cabinet and handed her to Avery.
Stiles looked between Avery and her dad and couldn't help but laugh at how neither of them liked cats, but were both crazy about the little black kitten.
Once they were up in her room Stiles looked around at the floor covered in cat toys.
"Did you buy out the entire pet store?" He asked with a laugh.
"Between my dad, Teagan and I… yeah, I think so." Avery responded with a laugh.
Stiles took a few steps and stopped when they heard a loud crunch.
"Sorry…" He said as he leaned down and picked up the broken pieces to a plastic ball that he'd stepped on.
"It's okay." Avery said as she walked over to her closet and opened it.
Stiles watched as she pulled the top off of a black and orange Halloween themed storage container and grabbed 3 more plastic balls out like the one he'd broken and dropped them on the floor for the kitten to play with.
Walking over he looked inside to see it was filled with all different kinds of cat toys.
"I was just joking… but now I really do you think you guys cleared out the pet store." He said.
"Shut up." Avery said with a smile as she playfully shoved him.
After they finished their homework, they were sitting on the floor of her room playing with Annabel Lee when Stiles jumped up, "Oh, I almost forgot. I left something in the car."
While he ran downstairs she took out her phone and sent Teagan a quick text to check on her.
"I also made a trip to the pet store." He proudly announced as he walked back in the room.
"Is that what I think it is?" Avery asked as he carried a large box.
"It's some kind of cat play center, not the same one I got before but pretty similar." Stiles explained as he laid the box down on the floor.
"That's awesome! Thank you… hopefully she won't tear this one up." Avery said smiling as she looked at the picture on the front of the box.
"You're welcome." He started to say but she cut him off with a kiss.
She smiled against his mouth as his fingers dug into her sides, she loved knowing the effect she had on him.
His fingers tangled in her hair and he deepened their kiss, both of their breathing ragged as they remembered being tangled up in each other's arms the night they were supposed to be watching Jackson.
His entire body tensed when she moaned softly against his parted lips when he slid his hands up under the edge of her shirt, needing to feel her bare flesh under his hands.
Breaking their kiss she sat down and scooted back on the bed, watching him closely as he slowly climbed on the bed with her.
His breathing just as ragged as hers when he leaned over her, their eyes locking for a few moments before she pulled his face back to meet hers, hungrily moving her body against his as she arched up from the mattress.
A low groan escaped his lips as she leaned up and kissed across his jaw line and then down his neck.
"We… should study together more often." He said, causing her to laugh.
Breathlessly she nodded and said, "I couldn't agree more."
Just when things started to get heated between them again, they were interrupted by a loud meow.
Stopping they both looked over to see Avery's kitten sitting on the play center box and staring at them.
Ignoring her they continued to kiss, when she again let out a loud meow.
"Shut up, Annabel." Avery said looking over at the kitten as Stiles laughed.
Before their mouth could even join again she meowed even louder.
"I think she wants her play center set up." Avery whispered with a laugh.
"Why should she get to have her fun, before we have ours?" Stiles asked as he leaned down and kissed her again.
When a small growl sounded from the room they both looked back at her.
"Did she just growl at us?" He asked in disbelief.
"Yeah… she did." Avery replied, as she started to lean up to kiss him again.
"Do cats even growl?" Stiles asked with a shocked expression when her lips were only inches from his.
"I don't know, but she does." She answered as she looked back to her kitten.
Reaching off the side of the bed Stiles picked up a pink and yellow mouse cat toy and tossed it in front of the kitten, hoping to keep her distracted.
Smiling Avery forcefully grabbed his shirt and pulled him back to her.
Leaning her had back against the pillows she moaned and arched her body against his as he kissed down the side of her neck.
When he raised his head he saw Annabel Lee staring at them.
"She's just… staring at us." Stiles said as he moved off of Avery and sat up.
Sitting up beside him she said, "I know… looks like she does get to have her fun first."
Avery lay on her stomach on the bed and watched as Stiles sat on the floor and began to piece together the play center.

Avery crossed the street and headed in the back door of an old abandoned warehouse as she held her purse tightly to her side.
In spite of all the drama lately, she was there to buy herself a ticket to a rave. The idea of taking a night to herself seemed like the perfect antidote to life at the moment.
She felt a little bad for not asking Stiles to go with her since they were together, but it really didn't seem like a scene that Stiles would be comfortable with.
She got in line and looked around the old room.
"Hey A." A boy in front of her said as he turned and faced her with a wide smile.
"Do I know you?" She asked, the only people who called her A were her close friends.
"I'm Matt… we go to school together." He reminded her.
She looked at him with slightly squinted eyes and then she said, "Oh yeah... you're always taking pictures."
He nodded.
"You think this underground show will be as good as the last?" He questioned, trying to make conversation with her. He knew she was one of Allison's closest friends.
"Probably… were you even at the last show?" She asked, with an arched eyebrow and disbelieving look.
"Yeah… I came over and said 'hi' to you." He said, looking a little disappointed.
"I was probably drunk or something." She mumbled wishing he'd stop talking to her.
"So, who are you bringing to the show?" He asked.
With a heavy sigh she said, "No one, I'm attending the rave alone and taking the night to feel like a normal teenager."
He gave her a slightly confused look, he opened his mouth to say something but stopped as his gaze went past her.
"Oh crap…" He muttered.
Turning around she saw Jackson, her heart started to race and she hoped it was actually Jackson and he wasn't under the influence of his Kanima side.
Spotting them he started towards them.
"Hey Jackson." Avery offered with a nervous, but friendly smile.
He ignored her and she knew it wasn't really her friend, but the kanima side of him.
"Hey Jackson." Matt repeated Avery's greeting.
When he didn't respond Matt said, "You're not here to punch me again are you? Wanna go ahead of me in line?" Matt asked him, seeming even more nervous than before.
Still silent, Jackson cut into the line.
Matt backed up behind Avery, putting distance between himself and Jackson.
"Uh… go ahead." He said to a few angry people who'd seen him let someone in front of him.
Seeing that Avery and Matt had been talking they also cut Avery in line, which she didn't complain about.
Now several people back behind Jackson, Avery debated with herself on if she should call anyone and tell them he was there.
"Matt?" She heard a familiar voice call.
"What?" Matt asked as he saw Scott.
"How much are tickets?" Scott whispered.
"$75." Matt replied.
"Can I borrow some money?" Scott asked in response.
With a sigh Matt said, "How much?"
"$75." Scott answered.
Matt scoffed and looked at Avery as he said, "Right… can you believe that?"
"Actually yeah, I can… he's a friend. A broke friend." Avery said with a sigh as she looked around Matt to Scott.
"Hey!" Scott exclaimed as he saw Avery.
He hadn't been able to see her in the line in front of Matt.
"Hello Scott." She replied she glanced down to where a spider was slowly crawling across the dusty floor.
"What are you doing here?" He whisper yelled at her.
Seeing what she was looking at Matt offered, "You want me to kill it?"
She closed her eyes for a few seconds and sighed before she said, "No thank you, I have the lady balls to do it myself."
Scott's eyes widened and he held back a laugh at her words.
"Lady… balls?" Matt repeated back.
"Mhmm." She hummed as she stepped out of line and on the spider to kill it before she walked to where Scott was at the back of the line.
"He's really weird." She whispered to him, referring to Matt.
Scott stared at his classmate for a few seconds and nodded.
"Are you tracking Jackson too?" Scott asked her.
Slowly she nodded as she sarcastically said, "Yes, yes I am. I'm using my heightened super girl senses to track him."
He looked at her confused.
"No, idiot. I'm here to buy a ticket for the show." She said after a few moments. With as sarcastic as Stiles was, it still surprised her how Scott seemed to take what people said as face value.
"Oh." He said nodding.
They watched as Jackson reached the front of the line and got his ticket. Moments later the people selling the ticket used the freight elevator to go to an upper level of the building.
With frustrated groans and irritated sighs everyone who'd been waiting in line left.
"What do we do now?" Scott asked her.
"I'm going to go get my ticket." She admitted after everyone else had left.
"Can you get a few more?" He asked.
"How many more?" She questioned.
"Uhh, like… 6?" He asked.
"What the hell, why?" She gasped in surprise.
"Stiles and I, plus Derek and his pack…" Scott began to explain.
Avery already knew that Scott had agreed to work with Derek as part of his pack to stop the Kanima.
"I will get tickets for you, Stiles, Derek and Isaac. Not Erica, I don't like her." Avery stated as she started up the old stairs.
Following her Scott said, "And Boyd?"
"I'm still mad at him for that day at school when he tried to stop us from talking to Derek." She answered as she came to stop outside of a door a few floors up.
"Do you have any money?" She asked, knowing how expensive the tickets were.
"Yeah." Scott said as he took his wallet out and handed her a 5 dollar bill.
"Are you kidding me?" She asked.
He shook his head no.
Handing him his money back she knocked on the door and within a few moments it opened.
"Hey." Avery greeted as she walked in the room.
They two guys nodded to her and the girl returned the smile.
"How many tickets?" She asked her. Avery had came to every underground show they'd thrown.
"I need 6 total." She answered.
Scott looked at her confused.
"Teagan, Derek, Isaac, Stiles, you and me." She said in response to his confused expression.
Taking out her phone and using the calculator app the girl said, "$450."
Scott's eyes widened.
"I have… $150." Avery admitted a she counted her cash.
"$155." Scott corrected as he held out the 5 dollar bill.
"That will buy 2." She said.
"I know, I can bring the other $300 the night of the rave." Avery assured her.
"Sorry, don't think so." The man holding the bag with all the money said.
"Come on, Kara. I'm good for it and you know it." Avery said, she'd had a few interactions with her through the raves.
"Maybe enough to give you 1 ticket on an 'I owe you' but not 4."
Kara argued.
Sighing heavily Avery reached into her purse and pulled out her brand new computer tablet.
"This is worth way more than the $300." She said.
The guy in charge of the money came and over and took it from her; after looking it over he nodded to Kara who handed her all 6 tickets.
As they left, Avery put the tickets in her purse and explained to Scott that she'd give them their tickets the day of the rave right before they were going in.
A/N- Thank you all for reading, I hope you enjoyed the chapter.
Sorry there wasn't much Teagan and Isaac in this chapter, but I promise they're in the next chapter… Derek will be back then too.
