Chapter 11

Dawn's pov:

I walked sleeply towards my last class, with Mesprit trailing behind me. I yawned for the nth time and was about to fall but Mesprit caught me. I smiled sheepishly as she asked "Didn't sleep well?" I nodded "I've been thinking about….Pierre" suddenly the smile on her face disappeared and a frown took over. She took a deep breath and said sternly "Dawn stop thinking about him" and walked away.

I was surprised, too surprised that I frozen in my tracks. Since when did Mesprit took that dream serious? I shooked my head and walked to my class. I rolled my eyes at the word History. Yeah right, perfect class.

I groaned as Prof. Rowan walking to the class with that same book. That damn book! but he didn't teach instead he smirked and said "Students, today no teaching-" he was interrupted by loud cheers, squeals, even Paul smirked. I shrugged and Rowan continued "But you're going to do project about The Mysterious goddess, you all be paired in three. 50% of marks are included, so do your best, the pairs are put up in the bulletin board" With that he walked away from the room which was filled with groans, moans, wailing, and even a girl fainted.

I saw Rowan walking out of the room with a chuckle. I couldn't help smile at all of them, but soon turned to frown as I realized that we've to do project about ME!

I sighed and placed my hands over my cheek, reading some minds. I read Paul's mind and surprised 'Where the hell is that Mysterious goddess book? I'm sure Troublesome took it! but why did she took it? she is still a mystery to me'

I gasped. Shit! He knows! Well not really….but he is close to find out. Oh man, what am I going to do?

Then out of nowhere I heard 'This time you're not going to escape Gardenium' I shuddered. Gardenium? Who the hell? I turned around to see anyone who is suspicious. But I found none. Maybe Cyrus? Nah… he can't be. Or Cyri? Stupid Cyrus and Cyri are same.

Suddenly I heard an evil invisible laughter, that sent shivers down my spine, and a cold chill making my bones freeze with fear. That voice…so familiar. Then I heard again that voice whispering huskily "Gardenium….Gardenium….Gardenium" with that that voice faded out. I felt someone shooking me. I opened my eyes to see a perfect, beautiful onyx eyes staring at me with concern.

My eyes widened and I sat up. Then only I realized I fell….asleep? what the hell? I groaned and rubbed my temples. My head is spinning and I felt a terrible pain. I looked around to see everyone was gone. I think they went to check the bulletin.

I stared him, as he stared me. Just like yesterday, I could feel my cheeks heating up, remembering my priority to see Mesprit I stood up and walked away.

Paul narrowed his eyes and asked "Are you alright, Dawn?"

That did it, I stopped in my tracks. He called me…DAWN?!

I took a deep breath and forced a smile instead of frown indicating I'm ok. But he didn't look like he is convinced

"Are you sure?"

"Yeah I'm ok, Paul"

"Its just that you're whimpering in your sleep, thats why"

I again forced a smiled and gritted my teeth "I'm ok" Before I could breakdown I swiftly walked away, to Mesprit. Failing to notice the guilty expression that was giving by Paul.

I saw her in front of the bulletin board with wide eyes. I raised my eyebrow at her. I came to Mesprit and tapped her shoulder, she turned to me with a nervous expression.

"What's wrong, Monika?"

"Dawn….we're paired with…"

"With who?"

She took a deep breath "Paul" she said.

I felt like a weight of 1000kg had dropped on my head. Paul? Why? I groaned "Great~ Now he has every chance of knowing who am I"

Mesprit giggled and shrugged "No need to worry! Besides I'll be there". I rolled my eyes "That's the when I worry the most"

Mesprit pouted and backed away from me, which I didn't notice. I was busy glaring the name Paul in the bulletin board. Suddenly I felt someone behind me, not knowing that Mesprit backed away, I grumbled "Great Monika, we've been paired with that jerk Paul"

"Wow, I didn't realize you're talking about me, Troublesome"

I jumped a little and turned around to see Paul, towering behind me with a smirk on his face. He raised his eyebrow and said "You and that pigtail. Today. Project. In my home. At 6"

With that he walked away with his hands in his pockets. Mesprit fumed "I'm Monika, plum head!" I saw Paul stopped in his tracks and gave a death glare to Mesprit. She cringed and hid behind me. He walked away with a bored expression, giving a dangerous aura wherever he walks.

I narrowed my eyes at Mesprit, who nervously shrugged and walked away too.

I groaned again. Me work with Paul? Great~

Then I remembered that incident, or more like a dream. I sprinted towards Mesprit and spun her. she was taken back a little "What's wrong?"

"I don't know, if I'm crazy or not. But Mesprit I…..heard someone saying 'This time you can't escape, Gardenium' I had been reading the minds, then I heard it out of nowhere"

Mesprit was obviously startled. She narrowed her eyes and said "Come on, We're going to talk about this to Arceus"

I nodded and checked my watch 5.15 pm. I sighed and thought 'Sooooo much time is left for the project' I thought sarcastically.

I sighed "Mesprit….we've only half an hour for the project"

She groaned. I feel like this is something more important than anything. I shrugged and we walked to my home.

Paul's house and pov:

I walked into the front door, "I'm home, Reggie" and immediately spun away from his Straight-to-hell hug. I smirked as I saw him crashing to the nearby wall. He pouted "Can't I give a hug to my cute little brother"

I cringed as I heard the word 'cute'. I sighed and changed the subject "We're having guests, Reggie"

His eyes sparkled "Alright! I'm going to bake my 'secret cookies' "

I rolled my eyes and grumbled about having a mental retardation brother. I stiffened when he asked "So who are they?"

I glared at him "Dawn and her friend Monika" with that I walked to my room, slamming the door hard.

Reggie blinked "Oh…. Poor Paul. Had to deal with this again too" and went to make the cookies.

I heard him and ignored it. My room is plain and neat. Black paint covering almost every wall. A study table, chair, laptop, a bed and a bathroom. I plopped down on my bed and stared off into space. I sighed. Dawn is messing in my life ever since I saw her. Not in a bad way. But in a…..good way. I liked it and still likes it.

I glanced at my watch 5.45 pm. I changed into my usual attire black and purple and thought about the recent incidents. Dawn is acting weird ever since the day when Rowan teached about the Mysterious goddess. Its like she is hiding something really important.

So I got suspicious and went to the library to check on that book of Mysterious goddess. But I found it nowhere. I asked Ryan sweetly where the hell is that book. All he muttered was "Sorry Paul, but there are strict rules to follow. The librarian should not reveal who had taken a book, that someone wanted. Especially Mysterious goddess is the most important book. Sorry mister" so I waited for some opportunity, to talk about that to Dawn.

I was really surprised and glad that Rowan paired me and Troublesome and her idiotic friend. This is the right day, I should ask or even dig whatever she is hiding. And I saw some of the bruises on her forearms. Its not that visible, but still. May already leaked out that something happened when she and Dawn went to shopping. Dawn isn't girl to leave just like that. She teleported May to her house. When May asked it about that, Dawn just waved it off. But I still saw the nervousness in her eyes. Those…Beautiful…sapphire coloured eyes.

I shooked my head, and I remember what Drew told me yesterday. Team Galactic attacked a park where he and May had gone for a walk. After that attack, they saw Dawn and Monika talking in a hushed tones. And Dawn isn't the girl to lie. She is terrible at lying. And Drew stressed that he saw someone fighting the commander Saturn.

I sighed and massaged my temples and glanced at the watch 5.55 pm. I heard a doorbell, I smirked. Time for the truth Dawn Platina Berlitz~

Ooooh~ I think Paul has feelings for Dawn
