Chapter 12 comfortable

Dawn's pov:

I grumbled as I stood in front of Paul's house. I felt Mesprit shoving me, I turned and gave her a glare. She shrugged 'The sooner the better'. I sighed and rang the door bell. After three seconds we heard someone stumbling down the staircase, and we heard weird sounds like rolling, crashing and a muffled voice shouting "I'm ok" We sweatdropped knowing who tripped and rolled down the stairs. We sighed and muttered "Reggie"

The door opened to reveal a very embarrassed Reggie. His eyes widened as he saw me "Dawn…?"

"Hi, Reggie. This is Monika rose my friend. Monika this is Reggie"

"Hello, its nice to meet you, Reggie"

Still Reggie was dazed. After few minutes he took a deep breath "Nice to meet you….Monika. Dawn is this really you?"

I smiled and nodded. I gasped as he hugged me tightly. I awkwardly patted his back, I was never hugged by Reggie before. Monika is giggling behind me, then Reggie gently broke his hug.

"Its good to see you again….Dawn" Reggie smiled

"Yeah me too. Seeing my brother after four years, its really awesome" I said

We laughed. Reggie brought us inside, nothing changed. Just like what I seen four years ago. Reggie smiled "Paul is upstairs, in his room."

I nodded, Mesprit asked "Where is his room?"

Reggie chuckled "I'm sure Dawn knows. I'm going to bake the secret cookies. Bye~" With that he entered the kitchen.

Mesprit turned to me and stared me with a smirk on her face.

"What?"

"Nothing. Show his room"

"Alright, Come on"

I lead her to his room. On the way she stared me, reading my emotions. But I kept my face blank. I wanted to be happy….entering his room again after four years, but I can't. I felt a tingling feeling when I knocked his door. I always felt it, whenever I entered his room. I sighed as Mesprit smiled knowingly, "You know Dawn, even though you're keeping your face blank, I could feel the emotions right away"

I rolled my eyes and the door opened. Paul stood there with this usual attire, black and purple. Unfortunately, my favourite colours. He nodded his head and we entered his room. I shivered as I entered, Mesprit giggled silently.

Paul turned "Troublesome did you bring the books?"

I fumed at that word "ITS DAWN! D-A-W-N JUST FOUR LETTER WORD, PLUM HEAD!"

He shrugged "Did you?"

I sighed and nodded. I took a book which is consisted of 200 pages. His eyes sparkled with amusement "Wow, troublesome. You brought the exact book that was written several ages ago"

I stiffened when he shot me a suspicious look. I laughed nervously and pointed towards Mesprit. He turned his look towards her. She chuckled "Paul, my uncle was a fan of old myths and believes. So he searched for the books which are invaluable. He found this book near some city, which is submerged into the sand. He gave this to me at 8th birthday"

He nodded and sat down on his bed. Mesprit glared me, I shrugged carelessly and plopped down next to Paul. But not too close, Mesprit sat near me.

Paul grabbed the book from me, when he did that, his hands grazed over my fingers. As I expected I felt a familiar electricity flowing in my hand. My eyes widened and I think he felt it too, his eyes slightly widened. Funny, his hands are soft compared to his behavior.

I felt butterflies in my stomach, Mesprit giggled again. I quickly took my hands away and kept on my lap, avoiding his eye contact. I felt him sighing very quietly and turned the pages.

But Mesprit stopped him "Paul this book is very old and very delicate….so I think I could take care of this"

He shrugged and gave the book to her, and stared me ….like he knows something about me. Mesprit sighed "Would you two just talk? I can't talk to myself"

I was thankful that she brought it up. I glanced at her "So tell me about the Mysterious goddess, Monika"

She nodded and Paul is still staring at me. I shivered again, then the atmosphere begun to cool down. Mesprit snapped her head towards me when she felt this coolness. She smirked knowingly. I glared her 'Shut up'. She laughed silently 'Right right', unfortunately Paul heard it "Why are you laughing, Pigtail?"

She glared at him "Its Monika, Mr. Grumpy pants" She muttered and turned the pages. She sighed "The Mysterious goddess's birth place is….Wow"

I leaned in "Where?"

"Here…Sinnoh"

"WHAT?" Me and Paul yelled at same time. Then I rememberd when Mesprit was controlled like, she muttered those words 'Here…Sinnoh'

She nodded "Its Sinnoh. More exactly near Twinleaf town, Dawn is there a forest near Twinleaf?"

I nodded "Yes, there only I saw Dialga and Palkia" I mumbled and told her telepathically the last part. Paul raised his eye brows "Twinleaf?" And I heard something in his voice….surprise?

Mesprit glanced at him "Yeah. But I don't know why they had written that she born in a forest!"

"Forest…?"

"Yeah, where you and Dawn gone for first date Owwww…." She cried in pain as I pinched her. Hard. I glared her 'WHAT THE HELL?' I screamed telepathically. She winced 'Sorry, old habit'

I sighed and nervously glanced at Paul. His eyes were covered by his bangs, then I shuddered when I felt his aura. It screamed Dangerous. I bit my lip. Then Paul took a deep breath "Continue"

Mesprit shrugged "She was famous for her own herbal medicines-" She was interrupted by Paul. "Wait! She used to prepare her own herbal medicines?"

Mesprit nodded "Yeah…why?"

He shooked his head and stared me. I cringed as I felt his stare. I know what he is thinking. One day when me and Paul were training, his Urasing went crazy and used Metal claw on him. In panic I don't know what I used but I felt something inside me snapped as soon as I saw this. I did some own medicines using the herbal plants.

Mesprit continued a bit irritated for interrupting "Anyways then Arceus the Alpha pokemon recognized her as the Mysterious Goddess and he explained to her who She is. As soon as She knew who She is, She transformed into Goddess. You know like knowing her powers and training hard to activate those hidden powers. She ruled the entire world and fought against the evil authorities. Once her hidden powers were activated, she will become unstable."

"Unstable?" Paul asked interestingly.

"Unstable means….her powers will get the best out of her whenever she is angry or furious or sad or depressed. Like destroying the whole world. In short she is also called as The Goddess of Destruction"

"Don't insult the God of Destruction, Giratina ,Monika" I said as I rolled my eyes.

She stick her tongue out and Paul's door slammed open. Me and Monika jumped when we heard that. Paul snickered a little and I turned to give him a glare, but just like always I ended up staring his eyes. Paul has the most beautiful eyes, but he spent those eyes glaring everyone. His eyes are the most rarest colour. Its not black but its Onyx. Having all colours in a shorter wavelength. Meaning he almost has every colour in his eyes but only black is visible for the other's eyes.

I don't know how much time went by staring his eyes, I was woken from my thoughts when someone shooked me. I blinked and turned to see Mesprit's smirking face. I groaned and pushed her off me. She stumbled a little and pouted "Come on! You love him. Why can't you admit it?!"

I glared her and looked around for Paul, fortunately- or unfortunately- he isn't here. I looked at her "Where is Paul?"

"Reggie dragged him to take the cookies"

"Oh…"

"Yeah, You love him, don't you?"

"…."

"Ha ha! I knew it! You love P-muff"

"Shut up. And I don't love him"

Then we heard someone asking "You don't love whom?"

We yelped and turned to see Paul with a surprised expression. My eyes widened as I stared the cookies, "OMG! Reggie's cookies! Give them!"

"Its just a normal chocolate chip cookies, Troublesome" Paul told me in a bored tone, obviously not liking this.

"Give me!"

"Yeah right. Do you thin- Owww what the hell troublesome? Get off me! Ok ok I'm giving alright? Here take it!" He thrusted those cookies in my hands.

I squealed and happily munched those cookies. Paul rolled his eyes "I swear, that Bandana girl is rubbing you off"

"Bandana girl?" I asked.

"Maple"

"You mean May?"

"Yeah, Troublsome"

"Hey! Its Dawn! Its D-A-W-N"

"Awesome, Congratulations on knowing how to spell your name, Troublesome"

"…Shut up Mr. Grumpy pants"

"Alright, Ms. Preppy girl"

"…Plumhead"

"Blueberry"

"Grapehead"

"Dawn"

"Paul- Wait what?"

Paul laughed at me while I sat there confused. Even Mesprit laughed, then I heard a girly giggling "Awww my cute little brother Paul is laughing! How sweet!"

Paul immediately turned cherry red. I smirked knowing this is my chance "Awww who knew Paul can blush?"

Me, Reggie and Mesprit laughed at him. All he did was grumbled having crazy peoples in his house while blushing bright red.

Well I think you guys can guess how it went on that evening. I thought it'll be a disastrous, but I don't even know that I'm enjoying myself without knowing. And I definitely didn't realized that I'm comfortable with Paul.

Oooooh~ what will happen? Does Dawn really have feelings for him?

Will paul find about Dawn? Find out!
