me: What?...

Another dream? Ugh, this has gotta stop. We are at the job board, and Natsu picked out a job, everyone approving it. Next, I'm walking through the forest with Lucy, Erza, Gray, Wendy, and Natsu. Lucy is talking about who-knows-what with Erza and Wendy, Gray is strolling, and Natsu is talking to me about Dragon Slayer Magic. Its very interesting. Erza suddenly tells us to split up, and so we do. I go with Natsu and Happy, Gray with Wendy, and Erza with Lucy. Natsu and I are walking, I see my foot snag on a tree root, and Natsu and I topple down a steep hill. There is a flash, and Natsu is suddenly on top of me. I see a flash of silver, and blood splatters across my vision.

What are you planning to do, Amber?

I again wake up screaming in terror. Everyone is staring down at me with a question in their eyes. I smiled apologetically. "Sorry. Did I wake you?"

"No, not really," said Lucy. "Its 9:00am. We were actually just about to wake you up."

"Oh...okay then," I said, sitting up. I walked with Erza and Lucy down to the large bath house down the street. We dipped into the steamy bath water, each of us sighing in content.

"What was your dream about, Amber?" asked Lucy, putting her hair up in a sloppy bun. I shrugged.

"I can't remember my nightmares. I only remember the feeling that something bad is about to happen."

"I'm sure its nothing," said Erza.

I frowned. "I don't know about that. It seems everything bad I dream about comes true. Its a curse I guess. The Reaper, leader of that dark guild that was chasing me, invades my good dreams and turns them into nightmares I think."

"Everything you've dreamed about has happened?" asked Lucy.

"Well...not exactly. Its more like when things happen, it seems familiar somehow. My dreams, I'm guessing."

"Well, we can always ask Warren to look inside your head and see your dreams, but I've heard its painful," said Erza.

I shivered. "I would like to keep myself from pain a little while longer. I've been locked up and tortured for months."

"We'll stop pestering you," said Lucy kindly.

I smiled. "Thanks."

We finished our bath. We walked down the street in fresh new clothes toward Fairy Tail. I fluffed my hair to make it dry faster, feeling the natural curls forming as I fluff. We entered the guild hall, meeting Natsu and Gray at the mission board. Cana was kind enough to buy me a smoothie. I sipped the drink as the team browsed through the jobs. One caught my eye. It seems familiar. Of course, a bad feeling in the pit of my stomach erupted when Natsu picked it from the board and showed it to the rest of the team. They nodded in approval, and looked at me.

Why is there this nagging feeling in my gut, telling me to deny it. But there isn't really any use. I'll be out-voted. So of course, I stupidly nodded my head yes. Natsu smiled at me. Wendy rushed up to us.

"Hey, can I come with?"

"Of course, Wendy," said Lucy.

There's that nagging feeling again.

We went and got it approved by Mirajane, and we set off toward the train station.

"So," said Lucy during our walk, "anything familiar in a creepy bad way?"

"What if I say yes?"

"Then you don't have to come."

There was a flash of silver in my mind, and I felt dizzy at the faint memory of blood. I raised my hands defensively. "Now, now, I didn't say anything yet. Of course I want to come! There's nothing creepy familiar about anything. Now stop teasing me!"

"Okay, okay."

I smiled and she walked ahead of me. I frowned. That faint memory of blood...something bad is going to happen if I don't come with. Damn that nagging feeling. We board the train, and as soon as the train started moving, Natsu got motion sickness. I covered my mouth, and I can already see the blue anime lines that indicate that a character isn't feeling well.

Lucy looked at me oddly. "You get motion sickness too?"

"Well, I have never really ridden anything that moves before, so I haven't the faintest idea."

I suddenly felt the urge to barf, so I fell over and leaned on Gray. He tried to keep his distance, so I barfed on him anyway. It has been a few hours since we had boarded this torture device from Hell, so as soon as we got off, Natsu and I face-planted on the ground and hugged some rocks. Everyone laughed at us, and Carla started shaking her head in disapproval.

We met up with the people who issued the job, which is catching a batch of wizard mercenaries, and we began our hunt in the forest.

"So, who are we fighting?" I asked Erza, who was reading over the job paper.

"Uh, these bandits that call themselves...Amber, what exactly is the name of that dark guild?"

"Dark Stars I think."

Gray looked at the paper. "Funny, that's who these guys are."

I almost fainted. "Wait, we're hunting the people who are hunting for me?!"

"Well, why not? You can get even," said Happy.

I looked at my hands. "This isn't going to work. I'm weak in my magic. I don't know what the Reaper sees in my abilities, but that's the reason why she had kidnapped me in the first place. Apparently, I could supply her forever-with what? I don't know."

"How do you know this?"

I scratched my head. I know I heard her say such a thing in one of my nightmares, but that was months ago. "I can't remember."

"Does this have to do with a nightmare?" asked Lucy.

The two cats and the two boys looked at me in question. "I have nightmares I don't remember. I can only remember glimpses, and only enough to frighten me with how much I don't know."

Natsu smiled. "We can fix that. We have Warren."

"We've already optioned that. But she said that she doesn't want to go through pain right after she got away from it," said Erza. She turned to Lucy, striking up a conversation, I don't know what about. There's another nagging feeling in the pit of my stomach. Gray has his hands behind his head and is strolling lazily. I looked at Natsu, who was playing with fire. Wait, its coming from his hand.

"Wait, so how are you doing that?" I asked him.

He smiled at me. "Its my magic."

"What is your magic?"

"Fire Dragon Slayer Magic."

"You're a Dragon Slayer?! That's awesome!"

"What's your magic?"

"Uh..." I've never really thought about my magic a whole lot. I barely even know what it is. "Uh...I don't really know. But there has been a few occasions when there is magic, and I'm around, but I'm definitely sure that I wasn't the cause. What's it like to be a Dragon Slayer?"

"Oh, its awesome! I can eat fire!"

"Uh...okay."

Suddenly there was movement in the trees. We all paused. I clung to Natsu awkwardly, him not seeming to care, focused more on finding where the sound is coming from with his heightened senses. Erza turned to us, motioning to us with her hand for us to split up. I gulped. Again, what the heck with the nagging feeling. Its starting to get naggy. Erza and Lucy went one way, Gray and Wendy the other, and Natsu and Happy and I in another direction.

I kept an eye out for anything that would be familiar. Natsu sniffed the air, his head twitching like a dog's. I kept my ears open too, shivering from fear. What if I'm caught? It suddenly became darker, me flinching at every noise. I looked at Natsu. He suddenly looks different, the shadows giving his face a darker lighting. His eyes are slivers, and his eyebrows are furrowed. His eyes were onyx black. Happy floated above us with...wings? Never mind. But he had a battle ready look on his face too: no fear. I tried to give my face the same appearance, but I know I had instantly failed.

I felt my foot hook on something, so I looked down, seeing a tree root. Of course, I tripped and fell.

And of course, it had to be on Natsu.

We tumbled down a steep hill, me kicking and punching him to shove him off of me. We hit a rock, Natsu's face contorting in pain because it hit his...whatever...and we landed, him on top of me.

"Ow! What is wrong with you?!" I screamed at him.

"Oi! You're the one that tripped!"

"You're the one that got hit in the balls!"

"Well, you fell on me and started all of this!"

"You're the one on top of me!"

He looked down at me, stopping right where he finished. We stared at each other. He started getting closer. There's that nagging feeling again. This seems familiar. It struck me. I looked over Natsu's shoulder, seeing someone approach. One thing for sure is, its not a friend. Like a blur, my nightmare flashed through my mind. The man took out a knife. I screamed, pushing Natsu off of me just as the man brought down the weapon, cutting a large gash in my right arm. My vision went red, then white, energy was sapped from my body, and a large booming noise was heard. My ears started buzzing, and my vision started to barely return.

Natsu is shaking me and yelling in my ear. I lightly slapped him across the face. "Shut up," I mumbled. He looked at me weird, and looked at the guy who tried to attack us. He was getting up, struggling due to severe burns, clearly not finished.

"The Reaper..." he said. "She wants you to come with us. Do so, and your friends won't get hurt."

"She's not going anywhere," said Natsu darkly.

The guy whimpered and charged at Natsu, the pyro easily punching the guy in the face and knocking him out. There was shouting, and we raced toward the others. Happy floated next to me, and whispered in my ear, "You liiiiiiiiike him."

"What? As a friend, yeah. As in...that way, yeah, no."

"Liar, liar."

I growled. "Stupid cat."

By the time we got to the others, all the enemies where defeated. "That was really easy for such a high-paying job," said Lucy.

Everyone agreed.

"Well, that took an uncomfortably short time to do," I said. (A/N: Tell me about it, Amber.)

"We might as well go back now. Its almost night time," said Erza. We picked up the six or seven or so bodies and carried them to our employer. We got our money and headed back to the train. I groaned. I don't want to go on that torture device again. Wendy looked at me.

"You know, I can fix your motion sickness for a certain amount of time," she said.

I looked at her with hope in my eyes. "Really?"

"Yeah. Here." She held out her hands and muttered the spell: "Troia."

I didn't feel a difference. We boarded the train, and when the torture device started moving, Natsu was the only one of us affected by motion sickness. I thanked Wendy. When we arrived in Magnolia, I slept over at Lucy's with Erza again, but the boys didn't stay over. Thank goodness. I do not want to go through another round of Dare or Dare.

As I went to sleep, I could not help but think what my nightmares tonight will be like, and if they will come true too.

What's happening to me?
