Disclaimer: I don't own Fairy Tail. Just my own OCs and ideas. Sorry I've been gone. I was grounded -.-' ON WITH THE CHAPTER!
Yami approached from the shadows, a deadly whip in hand and an evil sneer plastered on his face. Two people held me up by my hands and strapped them up with chains, hoisting me off the ground. Yami raised the whip, laughing so evilly that even the most good-natured angel would cringe at the sound. The evil man brought down his whip, a burning sensation, worse than sticking my bare arm in a bonfire, engulfed my senses. Everything went black, then multiple colors churned together to form a new setting. It was a chamber. Or more accurately, the inside of the Dark Stars guild hall, a massive four-story hall with pillars of silver and banners of purple and black. A large black diamond with demonic wings behind it was on every banner-the guild insignia. The floor is of black marble, and the wood is tinted black with ash. A large red and blue bonfire sat in a silver brazier in the middle of the hall, giving off an evil glow. A large bar was at the side of the front doors are of black obsidian.
The Grim Reaper stood behind the black obsidian podium at the front of the hall. I sat at the base of the podium, chained down for torture. The members of the guild all laughed at my appearance. I remember I was torn up and almost completely out of hope. And they laughed at it. Assholes. The Grim Reaper pulled back her hood, revealing her cold bloody stare. I cringed at the sight. She is absolutely terrifying. They scenery changed, churning again. I was running through the woods, a twisted ankle, whip scars on my back, cuts and bruises covering my body. I was bare foot, and my clothes are absolutely shredded. Wizards are shooting spells at me, trying to get me back into captivity. No! I will not go! I refuse. That place was an absolute hell hole. Smoke filled my nostrils, and I started choking. I can't breathe! This is a dream. This can't be real! Why am I really choking? I woke up...
My eyes snapped open. Natsu is above me, shaking me awake. "Amber, wake up!"
I looked at him in a daze. Is he real too? He shook me again, extra hard. Okay, he's real. I quickly sat up, head spinning as Natsu pulled me to my feet and dragged me to the nearest window. What I saw outside seemed like another dream. Almost everything was on fire. Two figures walked through the disgusting smoke. My heart sank. They're members of the Dark Stars!
Natsu grabbed my hand and dragged me out the door. "Wait, where's everyone else?" I asked.
"Some are fighting those guys and some are defending the guild hall. There are some wizards attacking there too." I stopped in my tracks. These people, the people who took me in, are getting attacked because of me. Natsu looked at me. "C'mon, we gotta go!"
"Its all my fault, Natsu. I only just got here, and she's already attacking you. Why would you want to be my friend if I'm the reason why your guild is getting attacked?"
"You're new to this, huh?"
"Yeah. Its been years since I had a family, let alone friends."
"Amber, you don't need to worry. We're going to protect you. That's the entire point we took you in. Master wouldn't let someone innocent get treated the way you did." Natsu gestured to my injuries. I looked down at my feet. This guy's right. They did take me in to protect me. These people are just trying to be my friends. I looked at Natsu. "Let's go kick their sorry butts."
"Yeah!" Natsu gave me that smile again. My cheeks grew warm, and Natsu grabbed my hand again and dragged me toward the guild hall. We were halfway there when a large red wall of liquid erupted from the ground. Natsu and I stopped dead in our tracks. A door-like shape opened itself up in the wall, and a girl walked through it. Oh, I've seen this girl around the dungeons before. She has very light pink hair with red at the tips, crystal blue eyes, and light tan skin. She wears a gray and black striped hoodie, black V-neck, black shorts, brown clogs, red earrings, and gold leg bangles. In her hands are red and black twin blades. She gave me a taunting look. "Hello again, Amber. Been a while, hasn't it? Well, I've finally found you."
"Stay out of this, Monoka. This isn't your fight. Leave Fairy Tail alone."
"Hmm, don't think I can. You see, I'm acting on orders."
"Do you know this guy?" asked Natsu. I nodded grimly. Another guy walked out from behind the red wall of liquid. My heart sank. This guy too? He has a lean muscular build and pale skin. He has white spiky hair that comes down to cover his blood-red cat like eyes. His arms are covered in cuts from his magic. He wears a long black coat-like jacket with a high collar and low hood with red insides and no sleeves held together at his waist by a red sash. He has black baggy combat pants tied to his shins with red medical tape that covers his feet as well. His sword is tied to the back of his sash and there's medical tape around his stomach. He gave me an evil smirk. "And this guy?" asked Natsu. I nodded again.
"Amber, you have to come with us. Don't make these people die for you." That struck me hard...like really hard. Imagine getting hit in the face by a dodge ball. And those things hurt! I rubbed my temples. Don't let these guys get to you, Amber. You're stronger than this. Its obvious that the new guy saw that I'm trying to fight off his words, because he continued: "Amber, both you and I know that the Reaper is not afraid to kill everyone here. She will, and we know it for a fact."
Monoka caught on. "Onix is right. These people will die at the wrath of the Reaper."
Natsu growled at Monoka and charged at her. Onix, faster than lightning, unsheathed his sword and slashed at Natsu, sending him flying twenty feet back with a bloody gash on his stomach. Onix sheathed his sword.
"Natsu!" I called. He didn't move. He's unconscious. I looked back at the two people blocking my path. Monoka gave me a sarcastic smile and the two started to advance toward me. I felt anger engulf me. How dare they hurt my friends? My new guild? My new family? I'm not going to stand for it! I suddenly felt light headed, and my vision went suddenly white as I felt a drain on my energy. What's happening?! My vision returned, and I saw that Monoka and Onix were lying on the ground groaning, both black with burn marks. How did this happen? Surrounding them is a large scorch mark. The heck? Who did that? I shrugged it off.
I ran toward Natsu's aid. I lifted him up, him groaning and opening an eye to look at me. "Thanks. That guy's quick."
"Yeah. I know. But he won't be down for long. Come on!" I dragged the pyro along with me to the guild hall where I saw a big battle only from where I am. I tried to quicken my pace, but Natsu's a little heavy. A black mist suddenly engulfed the guild hall, blocking everything that was happening from view. I felt Natsu straighten himself up and lean off of me. I tried to protest, but he stopped me and argued that he can walk all on his own.
I reluctantly let him.
We hurried as fast as we could and shuffled toward the guild hall. By the time we were there, Erza, Laxus, Mirajane, Gray, Gajeel, Happy, Lucy, Juvia, Cana, Dylan, and Cassandra were outside of the mist. Wait, if this is mist, then why is there wind. Oh, dang.
This thing's a typhoon.
I looked at Erza. Her right arm is scared, and a grim expression is on everyone's faces.
"What's going on?" I asked.
"There was one time when we were trapped inside a train station because of a magical wind wall. We were able to escape with one of Lucy's celestial spirits," said Gray.
"I can't summon Virgo. Its Sunday," said Lucy with dismay.
Wait, this means that we can't get inside. My body shuddered. This is all my fault. I'm the reason why these incredibly good people are in harms way. I held back a wrack of sobs. I have to keep it together. If I cry in public, I will visibly look weak in front of the members of the Dark Stars. Wait a second... I turned to look behind me. I saw Monoka and Onix starting to stir. I harshly elbowed Natsu in the side, gesturing towards the two enemies gaining consciousness. His eyes widened as he looked at me, me understanding the message he's trying to send me.
I looked down at myself. He's too weak to deal with those two, so its up to me or someone else to try and stop them. I have that depressing feeling that Natsu wants me to go down there and settle things with the two dark mages. I hurriedly shook my head no. He gave me the Come on, you got this! look to me. I shook my head nervously again. I don't know who or what stopped them before, but I know for certain that they're not going to help out again any time soon.
I clenched my fist. If I'm going to defeat these people, I'm going to need a weapon. But I don't have one. I moved my curls from in front of my eyes and tucked them behind my ear. I nodded and gave Natsu a determined look. And so, I set off toward the opponents. As I walked, my pace began to slow. By the time I reached the two, they were up on their feet and ready to fight me.
"No wonder why the Reaper wants you," grumbled Onix. Maybe I can get answers from them.
"Why?" I asked.
"Because of your potential power," said Monoka.
"My potential power? What power could I possibly have that she would want so much?"
Onix and Monoka looked at each other. Then they looked at me. "You really don't know?" asked the chick.
"Monoka, I think she has no idea what her magic is."
Monoka looked at me under a dark crystal gaze. "Then this is going to be easy. You surprised us earlier, but now we're prepared."
And with that, the two attack. My body reacted in a way I didn't know I could possibly move. Onix tried to stab me, but I quickly dodged. Monoka tried to wound me with her twin blades, but I did the splits to dodge. I lifted myself up on my hands and swung my legs forward, knocking my feet into their faces. I swung my legs back and did a roll backwards. I stood up and blew a strand of amber hair out of my face. Next thing I knew, Onix's elbow was burying itself in my face. I flew backwards and my face hit the ground first. I groaned and lifted myself up on my hands. I looked up, and saw Lucy running to my aid.
I struggled to get up. Lucy ran up to me and pulled me on my feet. I thanked her as she pulled out her Cancer key. Monoka smiled.
"A Celestial Wizard huh? That's not going to be very helpful, Mui. Sleek Scythe!" Her twin swords combined to form a red scythe, and she swung the weapon. Lucy and I jumped just in time to dodge the deadly blade. Lucy summoned Cancer, and the crab man jumped into the air, and with a few slices and snips, Monoka's long wavy pink hair was shoulder-length. "AH! My hair!"
Monoka and Onix glared at me. "Blood Whip!"
Onix created a liquid whip of blood. It wrapped around my waist and tugged me forward, bringing me into his arms. I struggled to get free, but I'm too weak. So, I pulled a book out of nowhere and whacked him with it.
"AMBA CHOP!"
"OW! Why you little..." Onix grabbed the book and threw it somewhere else.
"Aw! I was reading that you jerk!"
I grabbed his forehead, and something I couldn't explain began to happen. I felt light-headed, and I felt my eyes begin to burn. Next thing I knew, Onix's eyes began to glow gold and he started screaming in pain. Monoka rushed forward to help him, but I placed my other hand on her forehead as well. Her eyes began to glow, and my vision turned white. I felt warmth on my skin, like the sun is shining through the clouds. There was a loud boom, and my energy drained even more, and my vision barely returned. I saw Monoka and Onix soaring away, Onix screaming and Monoka glowing gold.
I rubbed my head. Lucy entered my vision. She started pulling on my arm, lifting me up and carrying me off toward the guild hall. I knew what to do.
"Lucy, take me right up to the thing surrounding the guild hall."
"What? Why?"
I rubbed my temples. "I think I know what to do."
Cana came running up to us and helped drag me along. I staggered over to the wall of poison black mist. I laid my palm against it, and the area around my hand began to turn into normal mist, dissipating away and becoming nothing.
"Amber, you're purifying the mist," said Mirajane.
In a few more minutes, the typhoon was gone, and the rest of the Fairy Tail members and I came crashing in. We all paused in our tracks, for the Reaper was sitting on an overturned table in the middle of the Fairy Tail guild hall ruins. In her hand was Master, green and pale as if she robbed him of his magical energy. Rage filled me.
"Oh, look at this," she said innocently, looking around her. "You are discovering what you can do. Have you pieced it together yet? Or are you as stupid as I think you are? Let's see, uh, you get small glimpses of the future, you purified my Poison Typhoon spell, you purified Monoka, your eyes glow whenever you activate your powers, and you scorch your enemies. Oh, and the clouds parted for the sun when you tried to purify Onix. He's going to be tricky."
Everyone looked at me with surprise. "What else can I do?"
"Well, why don't we find out?" The Reaper snapped, and suddenly Natsu and Gajeel are coughing and wheezing. Then, they both start vomiting.
"Natsu, Gajeel!" I cried. I ran over to them, not sure what to do.
"You know, there are legends that angels can save the sick," said the Reaper. Wendy got the message. She ran over to me and moved my hands on Natsu and Gajeel's shoulders. "Watch it, you might create a psychic connection."
"Shut up!" I said, and everyone gasped. My hands glowed, and the two Dragon Slayers stopped coughing and wheezing. They looked at their shoulders, where a sizzling hand mark was. It then faded to a light shade of tan-gold. They looked up at me, surprised. I probably look as surprised as they are. I looked at the Reaper. The dark woman smirked.
"You are the Thunder Angel. Amber Waves, the Thunder Angel, Captain of the Legion. Your commander is Micheal, and your magic has the potential of powering my weapon. You have been reborn as a mortal, a ground officer, one of the few ordered with protecting the peace on the surface. Thing is, you lost most of your memory when you came to earth. I was planning on using that to my advantage, but too bad for me. You're going to learn how to use your magic and then you're going to try to defeat me. I know how it works. But you can try, and you won't succeed. Bye-bye."
And then the Reaper, along with Master Makarov, disappeared in a swirl of shadowy mist. I fell on my knees and tipped over, tired and worn out to the max. And so, I slipped into a deep sleep. I braced myself for more nightmares. Can I really see parts of the future? Am I really an angel?
This is going to get complicated.
