Chapter 14

Dawn's pov:

"GO AWAY, MESPRIT!" I screamed but was muffled since my face is planted into the pillow. "Jeez, get up already! Today you're training. And that's final" I heard her saying. I groaned "Its weekened, I'm not going to"

"I think I've to do it in my way" I heard a new voice. Suddenly the blankets which were covering me was off in a minute. I screamed and kicked as I was being lifted. I opened my eyes to see ruby eyes. I gasped and without thinking "Kerisho!" I shouted. A blue light covered the person. It's a protective shield, which won't allow the person to use their powers.

"Wow, you locked the God of Destruction, Giratina?" Mesprit asked me. I opened my eyes and gasped again. Its Giratina, Kai. And a very irritated Kai. That's bad, irritating Kai is the worst thing in the world.

I laughed nervously "Sorry" and I snapped my fingers. The blue light vanished. Kai glared me. I shrugged "Your eyes reminded me of…him"

"Him?" Kai asked, raising his eyebrow. I nodded "I think… Pierre is his name" I don't know him except for his name. I need to know.

I never knew Kai could get angry like that. In his anger he demolished my favourite PC and my study table. I stumbled back in shock as Mesprit stood defensive in front of me "Kai! Stop it!" Mesprit yelled. I stood there with wide eyes in shock, Wow… I never seen this side of Kai.

"Its not her fault! Calm down!" Mesprit said in a soothing voice. After several minutes he calmed down, he took a deep breath "Sorry…Just don't mention…his name….in front of me, 'kay?"

I sighed and nodded. Too close! I sleeply walked out of my room, wearing a jean shorts and a white full hand shirt.

I yawned and weakly stood in defensive mode. Giratina rolled his ruby eyes "Seriously? Come on, Dawn, be cheerful!"

I rolled my eyes "Yeah…like I'm going to a carnival. I'm going to fight against the God of Destrustion, Giratina. Remember, you almost broke my leg"

"Its not my fault, besides you broke my leg, remember?"

"So what? You almost fractured my arm!"

"You broke my jaw, Dawn"

"Hey! I just dislocated it!"

He shrugged "Enough. Fight! First defense. And no double kick. I don't want another broken jaw. Lucky me, I could cure immediately"

I smiled sheepishly. He begun the first stride; a punch I think, knowing him for four years, Giratina will do only offense in first step. I smirked and blocked it with my leg, almost hitting his jaw, again.

"Hey! no kicking!"

"Sorry!"

Like that, this went well upto evening, except I kicked his jaw again, breaking it in progress. Giratina hissed in pain as I placed an ice bag on his jaw "Shut up! Don't make any noise" I said.

He rolled his eyes "Do you want me to cure you? You know…judging from the pain, I think I actually broke it" I said sheepishly. He sighed "You know, if you have boyfriend, I think he is so unlucky"

"Hey! Shut up!" With that I manipulated water and placed it on his jaw "Heal" I murmured. After a few seconds, Giratina stopped groaning in pain. I smiled and gave him thumps up. A silence.

"Hey, Dawn…want to go for a walk?" Giratina asked out of blue.

I raised my eyebrow but I waved it off and eagerly nodded. "Mom, I'm going for a walk, with Kai" I said since there are other people in the street I used his name. "Ok, Dawn. Be before Dinner" she yelled.

We chuckled and walked to the nearby park. Wearing short skirts in evening….big mistake. I shivered as I felt the cold air. I heard Giratina chuckling beside me "Short skirts, huh"

I pouted, he rolled his eyes and wrapped me in his jacket. I smiled and snuggled closer to his jacket. I don't know, whenever I was wrapped in Giratina's jacket I felt safe. Not only Giratina, the other three too, I mean whenever they're in their human form.

Well not a boyfriend like feeling, like a brotherly feeling. I sighed and stared the sky, Its like a pure black blanket covering the sky and those white stars are shining in the space with happiness. So beautiful…so peaceful….

I took a deep breath and closed my eyes I felt a hand enterwining my fingers. I smiled and squeezed his hand. Me and Giratina are always close. Inseparable. Just like Me and Paul…. Well that's what I thought. Then something hit me "Kai….What are you doing in Sinnoh? I thought you were in the you-know-where"

He chuckled "Well…. You know I can't be there without you. Not only me. The other three too. Soon we're going to be here. Just in case you…you know, killed someone."

I pouted "But I don't think…you came here for that."

"You don't know, Dawn"

"I think….Monika told you about that nightmare."

He frozed in his tracks and that confirmed I'm right. I smiled "Look Kai… I don't know about him. I need to know. Why is he disturbing my mind like that? You came here just because I dreamt about him. Judging from this he is more dangerous than you. I need to know about him"

He glared me, and I glared him with real irritation. Why can't he just say who the hell he is?! He sighed "Alright, alright I'll say about him. But not here, not now. When Demetryx, Jack and Ed approve it."

I pouted then we heard a new voice "Dawn….?"

We turned to meet May, Drew, Ash, Misty and….Paul. I groaned mentally, I'm still not comfortable with Paul. Especially after that night. I blushed immediately and Giratina looked at me with a smirk on his face. I sighed "Mesprit told you about that, right?" "Everything"

I groaned silently, stupid Mesprit! I sighed and smiled at my friends "Guys? What are you doing here?"

"Oh we just came for a strode. Tonight is so beautiful, you know" May told me with a sweet smile. I immediately distrusted that.

"But I don't think you guys came for that"

"You are saying that dialogue a lot, right now" Kai said chuckling. Paul glared him silently, which I don't know why. I shrugged "Guys, this is Kai, my friend. Kai these are my childhood friends May and Drew, Misty and Ash, and….Paul"

"Hey, its nice to meet you guys" Kai said friendly. But his ruby eyes are the one which is the most terrifying I think, May shivered a little when she stared his eyes. Kai smiled as May murmured "Your eyes…. they're terrifying, Kai"

"But I love it! his eyes are the exact colour of ruby. Very rare. Very beautiful" I said to May. May raised her eyebrow "Beautiful…?" I smiled and nodded, May rolled her eyes at my response.

Kai chuckled and wrapped his arms around me when he saw that I'm shivering. My friends looked at us….suspiciously. I raised my eyebrow "What's the matter?"

"Is he your….boyfriend or something?" Misty asked, eyeing Kai and she too shivered a bit as she stared his eyes.

My eyes widened "What the hell? NO…he is not my boyfriend" I screamed and blushed in embarrassment. I think Giratina was shocked too. He tensed.

She pointed to his arm which is wrapped around my waist. Kai blushed and unwrapped. I sighed "Guys, he is my best friend. And nothing else. We're just inseparable. You know like a brother"

They shrugged and I saw a relieved expression on Paul's face. What's the matter with him? (A/N: Dense huh?)

"So why are you guys are here?"

"Hehehe… we just came to see you. Paul told us about the project that you and Monika did with him"

My eyes widened and I glared Paul. Did he told them about that night…? But Paul shooked his head realizing why I'm glaring him and he had a tint of blush in his cheeks. I sighed in relief "So what about that?" I asked.

"Well he told us about that book you brought with you, remember? We want that book so that we can….you know" Drew told us casually.

Me and Kai tensed visibly. Kai sighed "I'm sorry guys….its something important. I can't give it to you"

I nodded, agreeing with him. May asked "But….I thought its Monika's book, Kai?"

I chuckled but still nervous "Guys…this Kai is Monika's elder brother"

They nodded, May pouted "Come on…..Please Kai, we want that book for our project" she used her puppy dog eyes. No one can't resist that. But who are we talking about? Kai … I mean Giratina the god of destruction. Think he can't handle this?

But Kai shooked his head, sternly "I'm sorry we can't. Now excuse us its getting late. We've to go"

With that he dragged me away from there but stopped when we heard something like "Soooo this is Gardenium hmm…"

I felt a cold chill ran down my spine. Giratina stood defensively in front of me. We also heard someone chuckling behind us. Particularly behind…..

Me.

I immediately know who chuckled…"Pierre" I unconsciously whispered and we heard someone screaming in inhuman voice.

Oooh~ what's really going on here? Is that really Pierre? Who screamed? What happened? Find out!
